Finally I've been impartial on TedMort in the fanon, HOWEVER, I've been thinking about the Fresh Meat au recently and I like the idea of "morted". The same duo but plays with the FM!au dynamic subversion.

I.e. as Mort supplies the restaurant with Fresh Meat™, and Teddy is the store's main/only customer, they end up in a (subverted from canon) Toxic, Enabling relationship. Where Mort essentially uses Teddy's Pica to dispose of evidence/remains. But that's still in early development!

Backstory of sorts:

I've got a major, i suppose, king complex + God complex, so that plays into why I actually made this, but it goes much deeper than that. If you noticed that my username is "hound-heir" it actually has a major reason and that is normally i feel as tho I'm sort of a guard dog for the houses I've lived at so hence "hound" but I'm also the technical heir to my family (I mean literally if I marry off and change my last name or die before I have kids my family name will die, I'm the 'last heir') so hence "heir"

Yes, the name is 'Ambrose' but like i said above "Ambrose isn't my actual name" it's actually my old dog's name (no, he's not dead fyi he's doing really good! Or so I've been told) if you'd like to talk ooc/personally you may call me Miko(laj)

LOOKS AT YOU WITH EYES FULL OF TEARS...........

SO LIKE the unserious reason why i don't yap about the necromancers some more is because i don't think i've said anything that already hasn't been said (the unfair treatment that they're subjected to in ravenwood vs. the spiral, how malistaire's actions indirectly made the lives of his students worse/creating or even heightening ambrose's quiet distaste for necromancy, how the narrative ((understandably but unfortunayely)) largely moves past these characters because they're not the focus of the plot, duncan's ENTIRE CHARACTER, etc.) these are all things that I've touched on before and out of fear that i'd repeat myself every few months i just....... sadly put my favorite characters away BUT.... I WILL SAY THIS......

i feel like if wizard101 was a show that didn't have us as the main focus, i feel like it would be super appropriate to have Malorn or Penny or even Marla be in the young wizard's place as the Savior of the Spiral. I feel like the story would only be enriched from a necromancer's perspective; they're the ones more directly affected by pre-arc 1 situations and it would reveal a side to Ambrose that isn't quite highlighted with us because we're a blank slate - not a set character with a set school (like the Death school).

If Malorn was the young wizard that would be..... oh man. In a series where the fictional setting would have more freedom and options to explore itself rather than its game form, i can really see Duncan becoming one of the series' antagonists and being the perfect foil to Malorn. I already talked about this too but these two guys are PERFECT for each other as narrative parallels and focusing on their unique personalities, skill sets, backstories, relationships with each other and the outside world while also highlighting their glaring similarities would be METAL to see on television. Dare I say it will even give Duncan's "gets recruited into the Schism" arc actual substance and justice rather than the "surprise funny bully man from high school is now your plot twist boss fight and you get to see him squirm and cry pathetically after you beat him up!" thing..........

if Malorn WAS the main character i can already see Penny and Marla being supporting characters, maybe like THE three alongside other wizards like CEREN NIGHTCHANT, Susie and Artur/ maybe even throw Nolan Stormgate in there fuck it! But i definitely, DEFINITELY want to see Wizard101's story told through a necromancer's eyes more than anyone else's. There's just more at stake, more to care about, and more to connect with through the hearts and minds of someone under society's proverbial thumb like that

Oh heck yeah! I’d be happy to talk about it [but be warned, once I start talking I’ll never stop..]

Nerium/Neri, the weird hijabi cat you might see everywhere on my blog is my main persona/mascot and basically just an artistic representation of myself, so anything that applies to them also applies to me LOL.

Neri is genderfluid/nonbinary and fluctuates with using any pronouns! It doesn’t really care about labels and is, truthfully, just a creature. An entity if you will. He doesn’t enjoy the idea of being perceived and prefers to be a background character. Neni is what I call that stupid chibi version of him with the big ass eyes. His design is always changing cuz I’m never satisfied sighh.

She has the social, navigational, and life skills of a toddler [that is to say, she can’t really do anything right]. She’s pretty slow and clumsy, always stumbling around and losing a constant battle with the world [he is not gods strongest soldier] Also, he’s an insomniac, so I often draw him with eye bags. Neri would prefer to stay indoors and sleep until noon, but he’s got work to do and is something of a procrastinator.

One of the most important things about Nerium is that they are kind of state of like? Mental disassociation? Their mind is so fractured and split that it kind of manifests as these multiple alter egos or personalities? Typewriter/Type being one of these. I call them PersoNeris :3

Typewriter is the more serious, stoic, work oriented one and is the biggest perfectionist ever. Constant resting bitch face. A bit of an ass. I made this comparison before but he’s kinda like the Inner Critic to Nerium LOL

As for Noodle… that’s what I call the ugly tiny little doodle version of Neri. The Neri Doodle. Noodle if you will… Typewriter has a version of the Noodle called a Toodle! Their designs are meant to simple and drawn super quickly so I don’t waste time on details [Noodle specifically doesn’t have arms unless absolutely necessary, then it just appears out of thin air!]

I will say, Nerium doesn’t have much “lore” [as in, fictitious story lore] because like I said, he’s just an over exaggerated version of me. However!

[I know you probably didn’t ask but I enjoy yapping] Since maybe… four or five years I’ve been working on this original world building project called Blood Magic, and it is so dear and special to me and I could talk about the lore all day long. I’ve spent countless hours working and writing stuff for this story I’m sorry I get annoying about them. Basic rundown is that there are two gods -an author and an illustrator- called the Higherups, a council known only as the overseers, a tribe of demons and angels [typical fantasy story shtuff], a planet I dubbed Planet Nerium inhabited by humans, animals and… furries..

The two main characters are the false-protagonist/antagonist type character named Trinity -Trick- Ambrose and a furry cat protagonist named Trip Sterling. I’ve drawn and posted about Trip before! My daughter!

Blood Magic is split into two “seasons”, each with multiple acts. There’s BM: Total Anarchy and BM: The Heart Keeps Beating [TA and THKB for short]. The idea is to turn this into maybe a series of novels or some sorta indie animated series? We’ll see.

I’ll save the lore dumping for some other time, but only if yall are interested XD

He once worked for Elysia as an angel knight (aka what Celeste does), but he defected to work for big bad Ambrose instead after she killed his partner, now he runs a company in the big city harvesting souls for Ambrose. He hates Laz because he's basically doing all this work for him (Laz ofc being the unwitting vessel of what's going to be the rapture that Ambrose plans on unleashing) and also thinks he knows better than Ambrose and would rather work for himself (he secretly wants to overthrow Ambrose lol). Anyway he has a giant fuck-off axe and he fights Celeste in one of the arcs it's a good time he sucks and I want to throw him down a flight of stairs

"The series does a great job of showing the gossip." absolutely, they managed to nail his character with one line what is very impressive.

On the other hand, forever sad they didn't explore his ancient history geek side. Him, blabbering about some ancient shit no one cares about, with rosy cheeks and excitement painted all over his face to Grant and Lipton? Hello...? Plus, didn't Buck talk about Romans and barbarians in Bastogne?

The whole (tv) Easy for the fandom is a company of sluts, so someone please play sad violin music for Matheson. Seriously, the power Ron had all over the people, lol. He knew what he was doing.

I mean, someone gave him a nickname "Sparky" and it stuck to him, so he had friends. Also, I know it was because of his "explosive" nature, but please, Sparky? Sparks are cute and make me think about something cozy (I can feel him throwing daggers at me from afterlife right now).

it looks somehow like a normal thing - some really liked him, some were neutral, some hated him. It was a bunch of more than 100 males after all, so characters collied. It seems even Winters didn't have 100% of fangirls there.

Anyway, sometimes, in the middle of the night I wonder when Winters started to call him Sparky and if it was why Talbert was butthurt.

The German uniform's case is hilarious because he just played along and could have not acted better (shoot him? without even rising his head? King). Again, sad we didn't get the scene in the show, especially because from bts it seems they dressed Martin as the German.

Poor Webster. It looks like he romanticized some stuff in his book and there was Ron "Ok, Webster rings a bell but... uhm...." Speirs.

Anyway, as for a dude who was called Sparky, he seemed to be rather chill.

Oooh and Buck was at his wedding. Maybe that's how he got an invite? I think there was a wedding for a Sgt in Easy the same day that Dick went to. Or maybe it was because Buck was hanging out with his UCLA buddy Matheson at HQ and somehow got lumped in with Moose on the Speirs wedding invitation list? History nerds should have gone to museums with Lip and Smokey.

And I never really considered why Cann called him Sparky. I just thought it was random, these 1940s guys all have some cool nickname. Ron did light up in that letter when Dick called him Sparky like it was a great memory. Google really comes up with some fun ones for that 'lively' 'energetic' 'clever' 'term of endearment towards a guy'....I mean let the imagination run wild. Maybe it just rolled off the tongue well- Sparky Speirs.

Yeah, as much as they did and went through they were still a bunch of 20 something year old guys. What else do you do but talk shit? Sometimes it hurts too much to talk about home. So we have this guy who is weird and crazy and doing bad-ass shit and everyone is talking about him. Everyone knows about him. Nobody says "Speirs who?". Or "Why do you need to take ammo from the Germans? They don't have .45 cal ammo or 30-06?" as Sparky walks into the Rhine and tosses his towel on the shore.

I do want to get my hands on the interview where Ambrose talks to Lip about Speirs. Because there is probably way more than "He came to cry on my bed the first time he got drunk". Carwood, please, there is way more you are not telling us. The man is billeted with you (his first sergeant and not any of the Lts?), comes to you when the officers get him drunk and ruin his life, gets YOU drunk for the first time in your life while trying to save you from pneumonia, you know exactly when the last reunion he attended was and 'he told me I was going to be promoted so that was +1 friend points'. And there is no way the Lipton episode wasn't entirely pulled from Lipton himself, especially when Wahlberg was calling him everyday to talk about how to play it.

I also want to know what his beef was with Billy Turner.

I would love nothing more than to show off all my DC ocs because I am genuinely so obsessed with them!

The first one I made, I've already yapped about before but his name is Ambrose Constantine and he's the son of John Constantine. He started off as being his dad's sidekick/apprentice, then a member of The Outsiders, and then later on in life became Death itself (it's a very long story)

Next one is Robert "Bo" Allen. He's the son of Barry Allen and Iris West, and he originally came from Earth 63 (DC vs Vampires universe) but unwillingly was sent to a different Earth where he now resides. In his original earth, he took up the Flash mantel after his dad's and Wally's death, but since they're now both alive, he goes by Bolt and works as a personal bodyguard

Billie Drake-Kent is the clone/daughter of Tim and Kon. She was Tim's 100th attempt and came out of the tube roughly at 2 months old. When she was 2, Tim became Joker Jr and killed the original Joker. He never recovered though and threatened Billie's life, forcing Kon to take her far away from Gotham and never told her about what happened to Tim, leading her to believe that he was dead... until she was about 14 and found out the truth after Tim kidnapped her. She then briefly became Cass's first Robin, which lasted for only a year before she took on the name Solarflare

Holliand'r aka Stormfire is my first ever villain(ish) DC oc. She's the daughter of Blackfire and Dor'ion, although her dad died before she was born. When she was a child, her mom misfired a blackbolt during a fight between her and Starfire, which ended up hitting Holli in the face and leaving her blind. When she was 19, she snuck away to Earth behind her mom's back in order to prove to herself that she wasn't worthless and could take care of her own by taking down Starfire all on her own. She hasn't succeeded... yet.

Next is Ramona who is the daughter of one of my friend's oc, Sibella, and, unfortunately Slade Wilson. She doesn't have a great relationship with either parent as one hates her and the other kidnapped and blackmailed her into working with them (you can which is which) She spent a few years working as a mercenary alongside her dad, before eventually escaping his side to strike out on her own. She's now currently more of an anti-hero as she fights to take down corruption using the skills she learned from Slade

Last but not least, is Sunday Monroe. She is my other villain oc she is a semi-undead Talon in The Court Of Owls. She comes from a very wealthy and influential family in Gotham that have been members for generations. She willingly underwent an experiment with a new serum that enhanced her senses and abilities with an increased healing factor, but it left her in a weird in-between state of not being exactly dead but also isn't quite alive as the serum is constantly trying to kill her but due to her healing factor, it can't

artemis & lan relationship lore that i dropped in a friend's dms but think tumblr deserves as well <3 as usual, it's structured like i was yapping to someone because indeed i was!

hmm, well!! the best way i can describe it is, of course, mentor & student. it's complicated beyond that, as you said. lan initially took on artemis because she was closely related to ambrose, a newly-born emanator of abundance and thus a newly-born threat. chances were that artemis would be able to keep that threat in check, if not eliminate it entirely.

so lan spared artemis' life, and in exchange for servitude, spared her homeworld as well. they then took artemis on as a student, making her a more efficient soldier than what she already was, and eventually granting her emanatorship to assist in her keeping up with ambrose. lan still withheld full, unrestricted emanatorship, however, so artemis was inherently at a disadvantage to her cousin.

lan isn't exactly the best eldritch being to have as a mentor... they're quite demanding and have pushed artemis far beyond her limits multiple times in the past, to the point where artemis has naturally began to push herself beyond her limits because her best is never enough. it is never enough until she's half-dead, fading in and out of consciousness, and completely incapacitated...

...but interestingly, lan never allows her to get hurt when she is in that state, and she often awakens on their back after pushing herself beyond that limit.

lan is overall a shitty mentor but cares very deeply for artemis. as much as an aeon can, anyways.
