This Bloodlines timeline document has some names of characters that are never actually ever seen in a game, so I decided to give some designs and ideas to them :3. I know that it’s mostly defunct material (even for Bloodlines itself considering it still has Bolt Ericsson, who was scrapped from the final release on it), but I’m just gonna take bits of it that I like anyway lol.

So this is my take on Cyncia, Christopher’s wife. Maybe when Christopher is off fighting Dracula, she’s at home beating the hell out of bats and skeletons trying to get into the house hmmm. Or idk maybe she should get to come with the second time hmmmm >:). Anyway, the embroidery details on her clothes are all scribbley cause I couldn’t decide on patterns, but just imagine that it’s actually nice embroidery oof (TwT ). The first image is kinda like a talking sprite pose now that I’m looking at it. Sadly there’s not too much to say about her because she uh kinda only exists in development limbo so uh yeah :’(.

There’s also the other two kids! It’s such a cool concept of a Belmont having siblings, I wish they address that concept more often :O. In my interpretation I have Gerhart as the oldest, Soleil in the middle, and Amanda as the youngest. The text says that Gerhart “strangely died” so I was thinking about the concept that he died at 15 not long after the Vampire Killer was passed down to him, making Soleil the next in line. I think that’d add a lot to how Soleil was possessed, he would be feeling awful about taking his brother’s place and possessions in other games tend to have the character have some kind of emotional weakness that was an opening for something to get to them, if that makes sense. But yeah, again, sadly not too much to say about the two themselves since they don’t appear anywhere.

If ever we get some really nice Christoper games remake (1. I am aware Rebirth exists 2. Konami will never cause they’re cowards), I really really wanna see these three end up in it. Cause as of now it’s just sad seeing them be names in an unused developer document when they have really good potential. It’d be cool to see that part of the series get fleshed out more in general because, as much as I LOVE the Christopher games, they are barely written ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡. Which is a shame because Christopher seemed to be planned to be something a lot bigger than that, ya know? There was a weird time he and Trevor were almost the same person in development, but the name Christopher is used as the name of the ancestor Simon looked up to and I feel like he and his story should’ve been way more important, ya know??? Like it does get used as foreshadowing for Richter and Maxim and other characters that get possessed later but mannnnnnnn. Justice for Christopher, and also justice for Cyncia too.

Asdfghjkll maybe make her playable in a Belmont’s Revenge remake that’d be so cool I wanna have my Murder Dad and Murder Mom tag team. Also that fits the themes of “he went at it alone and things went wrong but it went right the second time cause he wasn’t alone” and aaaaaaaaaaa do you see my vision

RANDOM WIP

A small snippet from a random chapter that I have in mind for my Marina fic. No idea when I'll even publish it, but I think my girl deserves better, so this idea was birthed! A work in progress.

Time for some was nothing but a memory, coming and going whether steady as a river flows or erratic like the breeze during a storm. Some took no note of it, filled with relative ease about the progress of their lives and saw little to worry for. A blessing. A privilege that it was. Others, however, were not so lucky as time could bring a great series of dread, a collection of omens gathering overhead: How will I pay for this expense? Will this be enough for even a meager meal? Who will take me in when there is nowhere to turn?

Those thoughts had been something akin with familiarity to Marina. From the moment she was old enough to understand whilst living on the farm with her parents, to the moment she entered society, it had been a common worry. It only grew tenfold when she realized that she hadn't experienced her monthly and the weeks that followed proved her suspicions to be true. With the weight of a great shame and it's progression nearing impossible to hide, options had become smaller and smaller by the days.

Who will take me in when there is nowhere to turn? Marina shivered at the thought, as she often would whenever her mind began to venture farther than reach. She no longer had to worry about that now, she had told herself over and over. Phillip's arrival and his courteous actions had proven that when he arrived at the Featherington's doorstep (even after she sent him away) with the promise to care for her and her child (children). And he had, adorning her with the title of "Lady Crane" and a well-established home in the country that Marina could have only dreamed of living in when she was a little girl.

Back when she hadn't realized how cruel the world could be.

But Phillip had shown the opposite, albeit awkwardly during the first year that the two spent together. It was clear that her love and grief for George had been shared, and would always remain as she watched the slight sheen of wetness overtake the youngest Crane's eyes whenever he saw the twins, Amanda and Oliver, a small tremor shaking his lips as he forced a smile even through his pain.

But, perhaps with security came healing as with the passage of time, that ache that had been left by George had, slowly, began its own form of healing. Not completely, not that Marina was sure that it ever would, but enough that it had long been since she found herself in tears at the mere thought of him.

Marina often found herself doing the same.

Maybe time could heal some wounds, but this one currently proved more troublesome. Following the disastrous affair of Lady Whistledown's expositions and what they had reaped, visitors and even friends had been very far and far in between to find regarding her. As, who would ever want to be in association with the woman who had found herself with a child and no partner nor sign of marriage in sight? Who had tried to marry into a well-known and respected family while concealing such a secret? Marina had...made her peace with it (no matter the sting), but that had not meant that Phillip faired the same way.

As awkward as the scholarly man was, he had a boyish charm about him that only grew whenever he found himself in discussion about his plants (something which she still didn't fully understand). To her surprise, however, others had shared his similar interests and, within a few days, an invitation had been sent their way. Lord Jerald Belmont, an older gentleman with a generous fortune had been hosting alongside his wife, Lady Regina, a sickly woman who brightened at the view of flowers and any plant there was. It appeared that Lord Jerald had been attempting to bring back his wife's good spirits and Phillip had shown his value in that regard.

How? Marina wasn't entirely sure but plastered a small smile onto her face as Philip recanted his joy, scrambling to gather as many journal entries as he could, unaware of the troubles that brewed in Marina's mind. Troubles that followed throughout the night at Belmont residence as stares and whispers circled her, upturned noses and cutting scoffs at every corner. What more had she ever expected from the Ton? Under the safety of her new home, it had been easy to ignore. Hardly any issue of Lady Whitlesdown entered their abode and nearly none had swept past her gaze, so she had little knowledge of what went on outside of the country besides that out of the mouths of maids and others who worked within the Crane household.

But now? Even as she tried to ignore it, to watch from afar as Phillip conversed with Lord Jerald and witnessed him nearly trip over himself, that option proved difficult. When she still lived on the farm with her parents, even when in attendance at the Featherington home, she had never been one to back down from a fight. Standing tall and proud in the face of trial, Marina pushed on because it was needed of her. To survive she had to fight. But she no longer needed to fight as she was now married and well cared for, her twins were healthy and loved and she no longer had to fear the what if. She was...surviving. So what need was there to fight?

I am honoured to share that my essay “The Baby Doll: Memory, Myths and Mas” is in Issue 6 No.1 of The Tout Moun: Caribbean Journal of Cultural Studies special issue “Creating a Caribbean Sense of Place: Calypso, Spoken Word & the Oral Tradition”. In this essay, I discuss my utilisation of the Baby Doll with discussions of the negotiations between the intersecting spheres of memory, myths and mas that are projected through performance, politics and personhood.

Castlevania Modern day au lore post 4/??? Belmont part 2

okay so this is going to talk about Trevor’s uncles and cousins as well as other small things about the family.

First is Trevor’s first uncle Christopher He owns his own auto and repair shop and actually bought a bigger house so his nieces and nephews would have a place to be away from their father.

He had two kids Amanda and Soleil, Amanda works part time at her dad’s shop and Soleil is the same age as Trevor and is more into game design and IT stuff.

First is Trevor’s second uncle Simon He is similar in personality to Richter though not as accident prone, He runs a restaurant with his wife and has three kids, Michael, Zoe and Anna

all three help at the restaurant

Michael is into sports and is a member of the drama club and often hangs out with Trevor

Zoe is really into singing and tends to absentmindedly sing when she thinks she’s alone, She will and a has smacked her brother and cousins with spoons and spatulas when they try and sneak food before it’s ready, She also has terrifyingly good aim when throwing things

Anna studies biology and chemistry and tends to be more of a bookworm though she’ll gladly get into the family antics so long as it doesn’t put anyone in the hospital again

the whole family plus Sypha but minus Trevor’s parents have a group chat

The Belmont’s have a history of impacted wisdom teeth with Christopher, Amanda, Zoe, Richter, Trevor, Leon, Sonia and Julius all having had/still have one or more impacted wisdom teeth

Trevor once scared the shit out of his uncle Christopher when Simon made the mistake of teaching Trevor and the others what happens when Things like mentos are mixed with some things.

Leon and Trevor used what Simon taught them and instead of leaving them in the driveway they threw them in the dumpster.

Needless to say the boys and Simon got in trouble.

Trevor once drop kicked a mf who made Leon cry.

               in accordance with the occasion, nina instantly gives herself up as a person. a present wrapped in slightly dusty tissue paper, on a white tablecloth. as long as the guest [lily] is present, her present is lovingly turned and twisted; but as soon as she leaves, the present is shoved aside, heedlessly and confusedly, and everyone hurries to supper. the present cannot go away by itself, but for a while it is comforted by the fact that it is not alone. plates and cups clatter, silverware scrapes on porcelain. but then the package notices that these noises are produced by a cassette player on the table. applause and the clinking of glasses — everything on tape! someone comes and takes the package. nina can relax in this new security: she is being taken care of. she waits for instructions or orders. she has been studying for years — not toward her concert, but toward this day. 

              lily has the option of putting her back unused in order to punish nina. it's up to lily, she can utilize nina or not. she can even toss the woman around mischievously. but she can also polish her and place her in a showcase. maybe she'll never wash it, but just keep pouring fluids into it; and its edge would be sticky and greasy from all the mouth prints: a day-old coat of sugar on the bottom. 

              belinda barajas pulls antonina belmonte out of the toilet stall. she yanks her. for openers, she presses a long kiss on her mouth; it was long overdue. she gnaws on her lips, her tongue plumbs her depths. after endlessly ruinous use, her tongue pulls back and then pronounces nina's name several times. lily puts a lot of work into this piece known as nina. she reaches under her skirt, knowing that this means she is going places. she goes even farther, she feels that passion has permission. passion has carte blanche. she burrows around in nina's innards as if she wanted to take them out, prepare them in a new way. she reaches a limit and discovers that her hand can't get much farther.

Wintertime in New York was always brutal, temperatures dropping to subzero and the landscape covered in white powder. However, as time went on, you became accustomed to it especially during the holidays. The times where you created a hill big enough to run your sled down and the massive snowball fights, but those days have been eclipsed by recent events.

In the weeks that followed your unexpected encounter with Rafael, life seemed to present itself as more of a challenge, there were days where you could hardly get out of bed, at least not without the help of a little liquid courage. It was starting to get to the point where you would stash a small bottle of whiskey in your jacket pocket and would often sneak off into a corner of the squadroom to take a shot, for a while nobody seemed to notice until the day you caught a high-profile case.

An actress reported being raped by one of her male co-stars, it was a classic he said/she said in which the suspect claimed that the encounter was consensual.

You and Rollins were tasked into bringing the suspect in for questioning and he ultimately agreed, provided that his high priced mouthpiece was at his side, as the two of you were walking down the hall towards the interrogation room, you had excused yourself and ducked into the restroom.

With a flick of your wrist, you took a swig from the whiskey bottle plus an extra dose from the second spare one in your pocket, from there you joined Rollins in the room. The young blonde detective sat across the table from the suspect and his lawyer as you entered, at the same time Fin and Olivia were observing from the other side of the two way mirror.

“Mr. Belmonte, one of your co-stars came to us and reported that during a reading of an upcoming episode you sexually assaulted her”

The suspect in his three piece suit that costed more than your first apartment sat obligingly and with a smug expression responded, “The sex was consensual, this whole thing is nothing but a ploy to get more money out of the network because she found out they were rescinding her contract”

“We have your DNA on her clothing and the rape kit…”

“Which just proves that we had sex”

In that moment, his lawyer decided to jump into the conversation, “Unless you are going to arrest my client then we are done here”

You moved from your position in the corner of the room and saddled up next to Mr. Belmonte, as you leaned into him, your green eyes matched his dark brown.

“Tell me something, are you that much of a raving ego-maniac that you have to force a woman to sleep with you?”

“Alright that’s enough detective”

“What is it…you can’t get hard if a woman isn’t scared of you”

“Detective”

Belmonte’s gaze turned almost predatory as he stared you down, “Let me tell you something sweetheart, I’d have you screaming and begging for more by the time I get done with you”

You chuckled, “Pull it out and let me see the eel God forced you go through life with…I doubt I’d even feel it”

“You’re out of line detective”

“You’ve got quite a mouth on you detective, someone should show you how to use it”

Belmonte licked his lips and the next thing you knew, you’ve got him by the collar and have him up against the wall, and then chaos ensued. His lawyer was yelling for someone to get control of the situation while Amanda was telling you to let him go, in the middle of your outburst, you felt a hand on your shoulder pulling you off of him and out of the interrogation room.

Before you could comprehend what just happened, Liv was in your face with a fury in her eyes that you hadn’t seen in quite some time.

“What the hell is wrong with you?”

“Just giving that asshole a dose of reality”

“Did you forget there are cameras inside the interrogation rooms? If we arrest him now, his lawyer will have him out on bail within the hour and then he’ll use what you just did in there to discredit you at trial”

You scoffed, “That little piss ant doesn’t scare me”

“Go home Y/N”

Your face fell, “What?”

“Take a few days and get your head on straight”

With reluctance, you nodded and proceeded to the elevators. As soon as you were outside the station house, the snowfall had picked up a bit along with the wind speed. You checked to see that your coat was securely fastened before walking along the sidewalk, several blocks down you spotted a local tavern and went inside.

Once you found the nearest stool, you sat down and motioned for the bartender. An order was put in for a scotch on the rocks for which you quickly consumed, then after about a few more drinks in, the bartender noticed that you were reaching your limit and cut you off.

By that time you were feeling disoriented, vision coming in and out, at one point you had to set your head on the bar top in an attempt to alleviate your condition. Meanwhile, some random guy decided to park a seat next to yours.

“Hey darlin…”

“Fuck off”

“Oh come on, don’t be like that”

“I am not interested”

He decided to lean in closer to you and whisper in your ear, “I can tell you’re having a bad day, and I’ve got the cure for that”

The moment you felt his hand on your thigh, you shoved him off you and punched him in the face. When he fell on the ground, you pounced on top of him and continued with a barrage of punches, it took a few other patrons just to pull you off of him.

During the course of the confrontation, you vaguely heard the bartender threatening to call the police and then subsequently another voice spoke up.

“NYPD, I’ve got this”

In your inebriated state, you could barely make out a tall figure standing before you; the sounds of muffled voices coming in and out. Finally, the figure cradled you in his arms and led you outside towards an awaiting car. After you were loaded into the passenger seat, you began to lose consciousness. You slowly stirred, eyelids peeling open while simultaneously adjusting their vision.

Suddenly you were hit with a wave of pain along the side of your head, your hands cradled themselves as you tried to focus. Within a few minutes, you noticed that you were in your bedroom and by default inside your apartment. You expressed puzzlement at the situation, what’s going on? How did I get here? The last thing I remember was punching some douchebag.

Slowly you rose up from your bed and ventured outward. When you reached the outerbanks of the kitchen, your eyes widened at the person standing at your stove. The tall figure that you saw at the bar and who presumably brought you home was your Godfather Elliot Stabler, from the corner of his eye, he spotted you standing before him.

“Well look who’s awake”

You groaned, “What happened?”

“Well I got a call from Liv, she told me that you got a little handsy with a suspect and instead of going home like she told you, you decided to head to the nearest bar”

You walked over to one of the stools at the kitchen island and sat down, it was then that you noticed Elliot flipping something in the frying pan.

With a gesture of your chin, you asked, “What are you making?”

“Just some French toast”

“It’s the middle of the day and since when do you cook?”

“Just something I’ve picked up recently and French toast is your favorite”

You smiled softly while you watched Elliot work his culinary magic, however, the moment he set two plates down for each of you, the aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg forced you to eject yourself from your seat and run towards the sink where you vomited the contents of your stomach.

It took a few moments to compose yourself but ultimately you rejoined Elliot at the table where you attempted to eat your meal, there was a brief moment of awkward silence before Elliot spoke.

“So are you going to tell me what’s been going on with you?”

“I’m fine Elliot”

“Is that why you went off on a suspect or that you practically have an entire liquor store underneath your cabinet there?”

You sighed heavily, “Please don’t lecture me, my head is killing me”

“There’s a glass of orange juice and some Ibuprofen right next to you”

You were quick to pop the pills in your mouth and down the orange juice. After a brief pause, Elliot mused.

“Does this have anything to do with what happened between you and Barba?”

“Don’t mention that man’s name in front of me”

“Well that’s funny, you kept calling out his name after I put you to bed”

His response caused you to be silent albeit a little flushed.

“Do you think that by drinking yourself to death, you can forget that you ever loved him?”

“How did…”

“Liv told me everything”

“Of course she did”

“She’s worried about you Y/N, we all are”

The two of you finished your meal and Elliot offered to clean up afterwards, you padded into the living room where you plopped down on the couch. The reprieve offered you some time to think about what Elliot had told you plus everything that has happened in the subsequent weeks, when you saw Rafael at the bar and placed your hand on his shoulder, memories came flooding back of all the intimate moments you shared, mind blowing sex not withstanding.

Overall, it became apparent that your relationship with Rafael went far beyond the physical aspect, and the day he left that locket at your front door verified that your feelings were not one-sided.

Ever since the day you ended things with him, the choices you made sent you on a path of self destruction and you realized that Elliot was right, drinking yourself to death just to numb the pain wasn’t the best way to solve your problems.

Your mind and your heart were at war with each other, on one hand you missed Rafael and wanted nothing more than to go to him and beg for forgiveness but on the other he was the catalyst for Wheatley’s release, you needed clarity and there was only one person who could give it to you. Just then, Elliot sat on the other side of the couch, which caused you to awoke from your reverie.

“Elliot, can I ask you something?”

“Sure”

“Can we take a drive?”

The snow crunching underneath your feet, the chill in the air followed by the snowflakes ebbing down from above met you as you walked across the long line of headstones until you reached the designated one. Your face sullen as you gazed down, fresh snow covered the top so with a gloved hand you wiped it off; and then you took a slow intake of breath.

“Hey Kathy, I know it’s been a while and I’m sorry about that. I’ve really made a mess of things…I got involved with a guy who I could see myself having a future with but then when I found out he was representing the man who was responsible for your death, I told him it was over”

Tears began to spring into your eyes.

“I love him so much but I don’t know if I can get past this, and even if I could he’d never take me back. I’ve said some terrible things to him”

The tears that were beginning to form in your eyes started to roll down your cheeks, at that moment, you used the sleeve of your coat to wipe them off you. Suddenly in the midst of the chill in the air, you felt a warmth radiating from your shoulder and extending along your backside.

All the while, you heard a soft voice lulling in your ear, Love transcends all barriers…it will mutate into a force to be reckoned with and will beat all odds. At first you thought that you were just imagining things, that there was no way you could be feeling this presence but then you began to realize that maybe it was your beloved Godmother reaching out from the afterlife to console you and offer you guidance once more.

Regardless, the answer became clear and from there you walked back to where Elliot was waiting and asked him to drive you home.
