Some time ago when I tried entertaining redesigns

So I’m still ill and now have an infection in my eye (no not pink eye) so I have taken the time to finally revisit my Alya redesign so I’m not just sitting here feeling gross and sorry for myself.

Anyway this was fun! I loved giving her a stockier body type because it’s def suits her. Hope y’all are feeling better than I am!

Chloe Bourgeois

For Chloe, I wanted to make her look as rich as she is so I ditched the capris and flat shoes. Also ditched the belt, it was tacky. I went with a blazer and pleated skirt combo inspired by clueless along with platform mary janes (cause of course she would). I liked the idea of a really high pony tail with curled ends too!

Marinette Dupain-Cheng

I really like the shorts that concept art marinette had, but I also felt like overalls fit her personality so I combined the two. I think it's a good way to have more pink on the top half of her body too since it was mostly white from the shirt she wore. I swapped her flats for black converse (to match her hair) and gave her some cute bracelets. I think she looks a lot more soft overall but still artsy!

Alya Cesaire

I had SO MUCH trouble redesigning her!!! The clothes weren't too hard to come up with and I already knew I wanted her hair to be more coily, but choosing colors was what took me the longest. Ik I didn't want to stick with her plaid colors but I was so scared the red would blend in with her hair. I swapped between like 4 colors for the bandana alone and 2 different shades of ginger. Ultimately, I like the way she turned out :)

Alya: "Tikki, Spots on!" 🐞

If you asked me which ladybug holder I liked the most, it's Scarabella. Mainly because her look stands out more from Ladybug and Mister Bug. However, that didn't mean I wouldn't redesign her, haha !🐞

One thing that REALLY bugged me with the ladybug miraculous (plus the bee and butterfly) is there are NO wings included! Since Scarabella has this tail coat on her, I saw that as an advantage to incorporate the ladybug wings there. I made them bright blue to stand out (ladybug wings are actually clear, but that would be hard to see, so that's why I made it blue instead). I found that adding the blue wings on the collar, and the cuffs of her gloves and boots, as well as the soles of the shoe, really make the outfit pop out more with the colors contrast eachother.💙

Her headband stayed, but I got rid of the spots and darkened the red more to further contrast her from Ladybug and Mister Bug. I also minimized the spots since the ladybug holders all have the same pattern of spots.🐞

For the hair, I felt that the current hairstyle works for Alya but not Scarbella, so I changed it.

Also, since we know Alya is French Martinique-Creole, an ethnicity of mixed Europe and African ancestry, I tried to include some fashionable details from that. Her mask is actually inspired by traditional African masks. I searched up and gave her red beads on her hair since there are some African hairstyles with beads included.

I am really forward to doing a fusion of this with Rena Rouge🦊 (after I redesign her too first, heh 😅).

Sometimes art isn't going to be pretty, but It's okay to just make something to MAKE something, not make it look breathtaking. I honestly just wanted to draw Alya and Lila in a more lively poses and found just the perfect excuse to do so so yeah. rkgk. I'll eventually post something more when I have the motivation and time to do so

Anyway, I believe I mentioned how Jiayi an Lila have a deeper connection to one another. Well... Here's a little sneak peak If you can even call it that :3c

they're all aged up to like 16-18

they go to a private school, ik schools in france don't require school uniforms I've decided their's does because it helps play a little more into the magical girl-ness of the show

I'm basically rewriting the entire plot of the show

it's still Marinette and Adrien as Ladybug and Chat Noir I just felt like starting Alya's concepts first :]

I had a lot of fun doing the og5 miraculous gang redesigns, so much so that I might make some full rendered poster piece with all of them later on, I really wanna work with these designs again.

Interview with Chat Noire!

Hello again, it's been a while! So, we managed to find another big find! What looks to be a screenshot of the synopsis of the series, as well as designs for the main characters and the miracuclass! We recognize some old faces here, but we see at least two new faces in the crowd!

We also found a season 1 sheet of all the characters, with their names too! Including superhero forms and the villain of the series!!

We'll keep you updated if we find more! Especially if there may be some season 2 designs ;)

I don’t think I ever introduced my Miraculous Rewrite AU thingy, better late than never I suppose. I don’t have my notes compiled sensibly yet, but for now, here’s Alya’s redesign, main story changes as of now are how she gets the Fox Miraculous.

Rena furtive redesign. I thought the idea of her having a different more incognito design when she was undercover was a good idea but the execution was not it. She was obviously the same just with a different color palette, one that in my opinion was more noticeable if anything. I figured an outfit that was closer to street clothes than superhero spandex would be more incognito than a purple camo. This way she could actually be out a bit more openly and still not be as easily recognized as Rena rouge.

Revisited my alya design and I think I prefer this one, just a 30 min sketch but I am working on the other characters :)

Alya is so me. I too love staying up late to get shit done because 3am is clearly the superior hour. Jiayi is working on projects, handles schoolwork she misses and is also a superhero. Adrien.. well, Adrien's Adrien. He's vibing, but also needs his beauty sleep or else his eyebags come out.

Nino is also the only sleeping healthy out of the group and bashes everyone for not doing the same (as he should tbh)
