He couldn't believe what he was seeing, that was her blood that he'd stepped on, that was her body on the ground. Alucard practically stumbled forward, nearly falling over as he knelt down in the puddle of blood, Seras's body. She was supposed to live. 

"My baby," Alucard shakily spoke, his trembling hands reached out to turn Seras's head, facing her dead eyes. His now stained red at the tips gloved fingers moved to shut her eyes, then he pulled her head to his lap. 

"Oh my baby," Alucard couldn't stop the tear spilling from his red eyes, splattering onto Seras's cold face. His fingers ran through her blond hair, hoping she'd come back to life, hoping she'd just open her eyes like all those times before. That he could have his sweet baby back with him again. 

His wide-brimmed red leather hat covered the hole in her chest, that dripped and filled with blood, avoiding the damage that was done. Alucard continued to stroke Seras's hair, slowly moving his head down and holding her close, his tears sliding onto her face as he continued to morn, to grieve. He'd lost her far too soon, he'd lost his baby. 

The moonlight that shone onto the stones of street solemnly rested on the red leather trenchcoat that hung heavily on Alucard's back as he continued to grieve the loss he'd had. The stones around him stained in a thick maroon of his baby's blood, along with his pants. The blood ran through the cracks and divots of the stones, slowly staining a small stream of red as it entered the troughs on the edge of the street, leaving a trail that lead to Seras's body, to where Alucard was. Refusing to let go. 

The world was quiet aside from the shaky sobs that left a man who'd lost his baby, a man who was left alone once more around mortal beings. The cold night-time air felt a bit more colder, a bit more stale now.

Something I deeply enjoy is how many times Alucard is positioned by the moon, either in a cool dynamic way or because its simply night time when hes doing stuff

Ayoo here's a collection of silly ideas from the Hellsing Discord mostly (and some scraps of my last braincells):

Alucard teaches history and is obsessed with wars specifically. Infodumps about brutal facts a concerningly amount.

Anderson would be either a librarian, a kindergarden teacher every parent feels mildly intimidated by (but the kids love him very much), or a theology professor.

Seras would be a personal trainer or a bodyguard that always gets underestemated until she kicks their butt.

Integra was supposed to inherit her father's business but became a lawyer that specializes in enforcing human rights.

Walter is an undercover agent that works as a butler to unveil Arthur's massive tax fraud.

Pip is a temp worker that's talented with everything but still can't keep a job for two weeks straight because of his attitude.

Maxwell becomes one of those redpill influencers that sells bullshit to his naive followers and makes thirst edits of himself.

Heinkel gives classes for material arts or sports.

Yumie would be a school counselor or a nurse with an open ear for everyone.

Jan and Luke own the club they had in Hellsing Gonzo. Jan ends up in prison often but his brother somehow always bails him out.

The Captain is an ex-soldier with a lot of confirmed kills. Retires to become a dog-walker or work in an animal shelter.

The Major would either be an evil CEO or the leader of a cult-like commune that claims they don't fit into today's society (definetly commits felonies either way).

The Doc would be a chef, a fashion designer, or one of those surgeons with questionable PHD that offers body modification operations in his basement.

Rip writes dark romance novels that sell surprisingly well with the booktok girlies (we all know her Tumblr would be fire).

Zorin is a tattoo artist with a side business on etsy (she scams people by selling fake magic stuff).

Dandy has no job, he literally scams people with gambling and card tricks.

Okay, so, Alucard in the anime Hellsing and Hellsing: Ultimate is an effeminate twunk who either wears bondage gear or a suit with a red trenchcoat.

His whole thing is that he's Dracula but during the Novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, Doctor Hellsing bound him with some kind of occult magic into being a servant to his family line until the end of time.

So, Alucard fights in WW2 against the Nazis as a loli with a tommy gun and then gets locked into the Hellsing Manor Basement for 40 to 50 years until young Integra Hellsing finds him and releases him so he can help her kill her uncle who is trying to kill her because the Hellsing family is rich a part of the British Round Table, a cabal of the wealthiest old nobility working directly under the royal family to kill monsters.

Thing with Alucard is that they divide themself into different forms with their own personalities that are still "Alucard/Dracula".

There's modern Alucard who hides his sadness and suicidal urges behind being a scary dog with snark who loves to verbally fence with Sir Integra.

There's Vlad Tepes, his original form from when he died his first death and rose as a vampire, who is somber and way more genuine and sincere in his sentiments he shares to his allies and enemies alike.

There's his actual literal demon dog form he can turn into.

And then there's Girlycard, not an official name, but the most popular fan name, she is that loli from WW2, she's more impish and willing to play with her food and pretty childish.

The context for some of this can be inferred from how young child Vlad was sexually abused until he became a man and gained the title of Vlad the Impaler.

So, we have a plural therian genderfluid transfem with tons of issues she suppresses through violence and wearing a masculine face while one of the main core identities that comes out is a little girl who is powerful and strong and confident in all the ways she wasn't in her mortal childhood.

omg i didn’t know you liked hellsing! I recently watched hellsing ultimate and enjoyed it. why do you prefer the other version?

The 2001 anime felt more realistic. The other adaptation I tried to watch (and from what I've seen the manga too) looked too over the top. If you're pretending you have a story about super secret organization, there's only so much massacres you can cover up.

The same goes for the head of the organization. Gonzo's Integra is a leader I can imagine respecting. In the other series, there was too much screaming and badly contained anger. What was likely supposed to be badassery was just pathetic lack of control.

I also greatly hate Nazis as universal ExtraEvil Antagonists- the topic hits too close to home for me to see it "downplayed" this way. I can watch them in fiction, but it has to be done sensitively.

Another of my personal icks are animal-eared (pseudo-)humans. Again- animalistic traits are not completely off the table for me, but as above- it has to be done well.

What I LOVE about the 2001 series, is the atmosphere. And the music, which is weird, because it wasn't my usual cup of tea the first time I've watched, and it isn't now, but I love listening to ALL of those songs (And you can't imagine my excitement, when they played Shine on radio at work.)!

Although pretty simple, it has better visual than both the comics (, which has its charm) and the other series.

I love the characters, their personalities and dynamics, including the minor ones, especially Miss Helena.

Last, but not least, it has "my vampires". I've always had a clear vision of what vampires should look and behave like (Don't ask me where I got it, but I've had it since childhood. You can't picture the loathing eight y/o me had for Buffy- how dare they call this JOKE "vampires"?!), and Gonzo nailed it perfectly. There's nobility to them, and sometimes tiredness. They're bloodthirsty and perhaps a bit insane, but they have manners and honour. They might be the "higher" creatures, but they don't feel the need to trumpet it all the time. It's simply their nature.

I loved hellsing gonzo so much, yes I know it’s not the original idea but it’s the first version I’ve seen and god I’m still so in love with it!! (Plus it’s the only anime I can sit through without insulting alucard but anyway!!

But yes I’d love the idea for a dark horror type one, perhaps similar to hellsing but not to similar
