I am very much a sucker for instances where a character starts having a mental spiral that results in them magically “going into themselves” and closing off the world

So imagine that happening with Alucard. He starts to spiral not long after you start showing interest in him. He’s scared he’s just going to hurt you, that he’s too broken to love, that a monster like him could only ruin things, etc…

You find his coffin open in the basement with dark smoke and red clouds billowing out of it. You run over and scream his name inside of it, and over the chaos, you can just barely hear his voice. Of course, you jump in, desperate to save him.

Inside you found countless shadowy figures wandering around a dark expanse. Their features are unclear, but they all spout horrible things.

“You’re only going to hurt Y/N. All vampires are good for is killing people. The only reason they haven’t left is because they haven’t realized what you truly are. If they knew your true nature, they’d be long gone.”

Hearing this, your heart sinks. You can’t believe Alucard has been having these sorts of thoughts.

The reason Nazis are so drawn to Hellsing is because they don’t have the media literacy to actually listen to what the characters are saying to realize that the Major exists to make fun of them. Motherfucker claims to be obsessed with war and has no purpose outside of war but can’t even shoot a basic handgun… his fucking death scene includes him going “I finally shot something” and that’s only because Integra is standing right in front of him… him claiming to “not be a monster” literally changes the definition of a monster in the story from ‘vampire’ to ‘someone who hurts others..’

But they can’t see that they only see “Haha 8 minute speech 🤣🤣🤣!! Shroodinger is sooo funny 🤣🤣🤣”… fuck off
