Just saw someone say JJ didn’t deserve Emily because Emily did more for her than she did for Emily (among other bad opinions that I won’t get into here) which doesn’t make sense to me? I mean JJ literally came back to help Emily when she was in trouble, helped fake her death, lied to friends and family for months to keep Emily safe even though it must’ve been so difficult knowing that she could ease their pain if she told them, all this while going through her own hell, etc.

queerbaiting is NOT:

a celebrity who you think is queer because theyre gnc or they have a 'vibe'. that is a real person and they cannot queerbait

two friends of the same gender pretending to flirt with each other for fun. those are real people and they cannot queerbait

a show with two characters of the same gender who are canonically friends that YOU PERSONALLY think would be better in a relationship. that's not bating, that's shipping, and subject to opinion

there are more but those are the main examples of people misunderstanding what queerbaiting is and being mad at something that isn't actually a problem

I misread GRILL for GIRLL and had to reread the post to find where you'd mentioned the lesbians outside of their natural Home Depot habitat because I was 100% on board with the idea of Sisko also just adopting random teenagers in need while at Lowe's 🤣

Rewatching the ds9 episode where Sisko builds the ancient Bajoran spaceship and it really is THE prime example that this man belongs in a Lowe's. Unfortunately he keeps getting dragged into Political Intrigue but his soul longs to be comparing different samples of ceramic tile and going "very nice very nice." He should be weighing the pros and cons of getting a green egg smoker or an offset smoker, with a bunch of random 2x4s and drill bits and a fire pit already in his cart, while Jake stands off to the side bored out of his mind like "DAD WE DIDN'T EVEN COME HERE FOR A GRILL." And Sisko is like "well it doesn't hurt to look son. I might wanna come back for this later"
