Yo!! I've got a lil' question that you've probably answered before. I was wondering why Cy has 2 god tiers? Like is it just because he can, for shits n' giggles, or for a narrative reason? (I've been going over this in my head for weeks now dear god)

OH no there is an actual reason- make of the explanation what you will. To me it at least makes some sense, this will be long but I love to break it all down (its also a bit sad!) So... Cyrusk is odd. His personality, the way he interacts with people, the way he solves problems, the things that are key to who he is all point towards him being a Lord. The Lord of Mind is his godtier, thats the one at his core. However he is the Knight of Mind in like 99.99999999% something of the sessions that are played. The Knight is also still him but it prioritizes the protector parts over the controller parts both of which are part of what makes him him. He is both sides but one is not allowed to exist... unless under certain circumstances.

(handful of his dif iterations for sburb) The problem with being a Lord in a group sburb game though is that they are way overpowered, and he doesnt have a Muse to balance him out either. Sburb is-if nothing else-a world bending game that adapts and changes to its players but its also an enigma, its kinda alive in its own right. In a group sburb game the conditions are not set to have a Lordling in its session cuz they are supposed to play solo in dead sessions like the Cal's session. Now Cyrusk can play solo BUT theres a very specific way for him to even get to the point where he can. The sad part is it needs to be when everyone else in his session is dead and conditions are now set to enter into a dead session, one built for a Lordling. To do this he needs to find his denizen Janus. Thing about Janus is it has two faces and one is always asleep at least its always asleep when he can only be the Knight.

(art by cheshireArtist) The asleep face wakes when a Lordling has the availability to be in play and its the one that gives him the Lord's "Ultimate Choice". Either he can die here, be with everyone else and be at peace... OR he can live and take a shot at a new session and maybe see everyone again. Its not a scratch its not turning back time its entering into the session thats built for the Lord. Once Cyrusk enters a new session as a solo player its that dead session where he plays as a Lordling. If he goes through with it and wins he will become a fully realized Lord of Mind. And theres the thing... yeah he doesnt get a new universe but he gets something that can be even better~

But thats for another time. Just know a Lord of Mind Cyrusk is game breaking.

I wanna talk about AU Valkyrie’s soul absorption more, because it’s a pretty big part of Battlescape and I haven’t reeeeally been talking about it.

Basically, Valkyrie’s powerset is even weirder now than previously, because her natural magic is much weaker due to being poisoned by the katehedral energy, she can turn things into dust, and she can, as I mentioned earlier, absorb people’s souls.

First off, she has to make physical contact, usually with the head of a person, in order to absorb the soul of a person she wants. Since she’s actually absorbing them and they’re literally becoming part of her, she’s somewhat particular about who she absorbs. She won’t do it to any random person she’s fighting, but one of her current projects (bordering on an obsession) is collecting and absorbing the souls of everyone who ever mattered to her, based on the idea that she can then keep them safe and she’ll never lose them.

Now, her not losing them isn’t necessarily true. Essentially how it works is that once their soul is fused with Valkyrie’s and their body dies, they start our existing as an entirely separate personality with separate memories and experiences, and Valkyrie can essentially summon them into real life to talk to them (or she can just communicate with them mentally, Darquesse style). However, as years pass, the secondary personality (whoever Valkyrie absorbed) slowly begins to fully mesh with her soul, going from having to ask about certain experiences to being able to flip through those experiences to Valkyrie remembering those experiences as if she lived them. The aspects of them that Valkyrie can summon also then slowly become more distant or faint over time, although they never fade completely. At the end, they are completely meshed with Valkyrie and all of their personality, memories, experiences, and so on are now entirely hers to own and implement. She doesn’t love this inevitable stage, but she’s basically accepted it as the price to pay for never losing someone she loves.

One big thing I should note for this, because it’s important, is that she refuses to do it without the person’s consent, only exception being if they’re actively dying. She has the offer open to a lot of people for her to absorb their souls (most of them in Roarhaven) and it’s very much a point of moral and personal debate for them. Dexter Vex is an absolute disaster, and he’s definitely considered this offer the most. Saracen is pretty much what’s keeping him sane.

Another thing I should probably mention is that Valkyrie could theoretically do this to anyone, dead or alive, but it’s much less complicated to absorb people who are alive (their souls are easier to get ahold of, easier to transport, etc). A huge part of her project is finding a way to get ahold of the souls of those she’s lost or those she feels deserved better so that they can become a part of her forever. These are people like Gordon, Stephanie, Carol, Sanguine, Finbar, Cassandra, Kenspeckle, possibly mr. Bliss, and so on. She’s definitely gotten to a few of them already, but finding out exactly where they are and then getting their souls to join with hers takes a lot of effort, and so the work goes slowly. Her current focus is on Stephanie, which would give Steph the chance to become at least somewhat active and autonomous again.

Skulduggery doesn’t actually mind her bizarre fixation with finding and absorbing souls, and he’s willing to assist her with the process and stops her from going even more insane over the experience overflow that she gets. He’s arrogant and doesn’t really see himself as somebody who will ever be absorbed, but rather someone who will stay by her side but separate from her forever, acting as something real when everything else around Valkyrie is simply an aspect of her many personalities given form.

So…yeah. That’s one of Valkyrie’s many powers. Another power that works similarly but isn’t the same is that she can absorb power from extremely powerful beings and then spread that power around to her followers (which is a very overpowered ability when you regularly get into fights with the Faceless Ones).

Maybe I’ll update this in the future a bit, maybe I won’t. I’m looking forward to writing more details about this ability though 😁

The room is so silent it hurts. Jack’s eyes are wide and sad, his hand clenching into a fist and falling to press tightly against his thigh. The glass Eric dropped is shattered to pieces all over the kitchen floor, a puddle of water slowly spreading over the gleaming tiles.

“Sorry!” Eric blurts out finally, voice trembling, body trembling even harder. “I – I just –”

“It’s okay,” Jack says, but he still moves cautiously with his eyes unmoving from Eric, like Eric’s some wide animal that he might spook. “I shouldn’t have…”

He trails off, sentence unfinished. Eric gets it. There’s nothing he shouldn't have done; Jack never does anything wrong. It’s Eric who startles and flinches and gets lightheaded whenever the stranger he’s supposed to be engaged to tries to touch him.

“It’s fine, Bi–Eric.” Jack clears his throat, then crouches down to pick up the shards, smiling faintly up at Eric. “This floor's been through worse. It’s not even the first time I made you drop something, eh? Least this time it’s just water and not peanut butter.”

Eric has no idea what that means. Eric doesn't remember. After a moment, the tiny smile on Jack’s face fades away. He looks down at the floor, sighs quietly, and goes back to picking up broken glass with his bare hands.

I for one head canon that Martin started loosing weight during season four as the lonely got its grips on him, it’s a sort of physical sign of his loss of interest, how depression (or like- the lonely or whatever) has been affecting him.

Dude, imagine Alex really watching over George because he’s the only family left he has and he’s not ready to lose him as well. Alex’s life is fucking tragic, man. This take is great because I also had a dream but it’s not about the deaths of the NPCs, more like I had a dream that Evelyn finally has a cafe that also serves as a bakery and one of the worker is a goddamn mortician. If you interact with him, he said that he works in the cafe because well, deaths hasn’t happened yet at the time he moved in so he sometimes still go to the graveyard to take care of them but his true job is as a cafe worker. Now, imagine Evelyn died and he needs to arrange the funeral for his former boss.

i accidentally napped and had a dream (nightmare?) where a new update for stardew valley released where everything was the same except on a random day in year 3 Evelyn would just straight up die. There was a whole cutscene that started in her house where she collapsed, and then transitioned over to the hospital where Harvey gave George and Alex the worst news of their lives. However, they got to speak to her where she said something along the lines of "Yoba will protect me, and I am sure he will let me watch over you."

Alex and George would not talk to the player for more than a few words for a full season after this event. George would spend most of his time in the bedroom, so if you had less than 2 hearts with him, you could barely ever speak to him.

And Alex... oh my god, poor Alex. If you were married to him during this event, he just stayed in bed all day. Otherwise, if single, he would just stand on the beach most of the time, staring off into the ocean. If you tried to interact with him, it would just say "Alex is grieving... Better leave him be."

There was also other NPC dialogue like mayor Lewis saying "I haven't seen the community in this state of mourning since your grandfather passed..."

there was also a glitch where you could make Evelyn live forever and there were entire guides for the "immortal Evelyn glitch" that got patched out in the next update. If you tried to perform the glitch after the patch, mr. Qi would tell you that "hey, it happens to all of us. We can't prevent it, and neither can you, no matter how hard you try."

synopsis - you've been good friends with the triplets for the past few years and are visiting them in LA. You and the guys decide you want to bake some brownies but you're missing some key ingredients, Matt and Nick go out to pick them up leaving you and Chris alone.

"alright be back soon!!" Nick shouts as him and Matt walk down the stairs to the garage door.

Chris and I stand alone in the kitchen now, Chris hovering over the mixing bowl at the counter, his back to me, and me sitting at the table reading the back of the brownie mix box.

"Don't know why you guys decided to buy brownie mix that requires so many ingredients you don't have" I say putting the box down and sighing.

"Dude I think you can wait like 20 minutes for them to get back" Chris says laughing turning around to face me.

"Mmmm yeah but then we have to wait for them to bake so really it's going to be closer to an hour" I say back jokingly looking up at Chris who's now leaning with both hands across the table in front of me.

"Damn a whole hour, are you gonna parish before then?" He says sarcastically squishing my cheeks with his hand. I playfully swat his hand away and stick my tongue out at him.

"Yeah actually I might," I say while pushing my chair out getting ready to stand up, "I might just need a quick taste test..." I say as I stand up to begin my journey to the mixing bowl on the counter. 

Just as I make my way around the table Chris moves to stand in front of me placing his hands on my shoulders to stop me in place.

"Uh uh uh no way I'm letting you stick your grimy little fingers in the brownie mix" he says shaking his head at me.

"Hmm seems like a challenge" I say daringly before darting around the other side of the table towards the mixing bowl. 

"For fucks sake" he says sprinting after me. He pulls my wrist and yanks me towards him just as I stick my fingers into the bowl.

"Hahahaha too late bitch" I say pleased with the chocolate brownie mix spread all over my fingers. He watches me intently as I begin to lick the mix off of my fingers. I close my eyes with delight, "yummmm you should have some" I say as I pick up the bowl and shove it in his direction.

"Yeah okay" he says hesitantly as he dips a couple fingers into the bowl and licks some of the mix off while looking at me. "Mmmm" he walks over to grab some paper towel but I interrupt him.

"Wait what are you doing?"

"Wiping my hands off??" He looks at me puzzled.

"Noooo you can't waist that shit" I say as I grab his wrist and bring his fingers to my mouth. I begin to lick and suck on his fingers, swirling my tongue around them trying to savor every last drop of the brownie mix. Chris stares at me intensely, his pupils dilating with desire as he bites his bottom lip.

After I think I've gotten all the mix off I take out his fingers from my mouth slowly. I look down at the tent growing in his gray sweats in front of me.

"Shit... Sorry" I say smiling shyly as I slowly release my grip on his wrist, knowing that this is crossing the normal boundaries of our friendship.

He looks down at his growing hardness and back into my eyes, licking his lips. "No you're not" 

"Yeah you're right I'm not" I say smirking at up at him. Fuck me it'd be a lie to say I didn't want him to take me right then and there having been attracted to him since we met.

"Hmmm" chris ponders for a second as he looks my body up and down. The wetness my legs starting to soak through my panties.

"What...?" I ask looking at him with a raised brow trying to hide my growing smirk.

"I don't think you got all the mix off so I think you'll have to try again" he says bringing his fingers back up towards my mouth, grazing his thumb over my lips for permission and I gladly part my lips open and he slips his two fingers back in my mouth. 

I stare up at him as he slowly guides his fingers pumping them in and out of my mouth, my tongue swirling around them. He watches me licking his lips in satisfaction. I grab his hand and force his fingers as far as I can down my throat causing me to gag, saliva dripping down my chin.

Chris lets out a groan, "oh fuck" he says as I continue to guide his fingers down my throat, choking on his digits.

I stand up to help Matt with the missing brownie ingredients, "yeah it's all good guys let's make some fucking brownies" I say picking up the eggs.

MATT'S POV 

Nick and I park in the garage and as I'm grabbing the bags from the back seat I can hear muffled moans coming from inside. I snap my attention to Nick standing in front of the car to see if he heard what I did but he's still yapping about the sweet cashier from cvs who checked us out. 

Nick opens the door and I make a note to close it as hard as I can so they know we've made it back home, hopefully interrupting whatever it is they've gotten up to while we've been gone. 

Nick shoots me a questioning look, "okay calm down what did the door do to you?" He jokes poking at my clear annoyance which for nicks sake, doesn't know the direct source, that being Chris hooking up with our best friend.

We make our way up the stairs and as soon as we turn the corner into the kitchen the smell of her arousal fills my nose and I inhale deeply trying to take it what I can, my mouth beginning to water.

I place the bags gently on the counter and start to unload the items trying hard to focus on my conversation with Nick and not the annoying smirk that paints Chris's face, the glow of her arousal still shimmering over his lips. Fuck.

Nick sensing my annoyance and the awkward silence between my brother and best friend, stops mid sentence and shoots me a questioning glare which I return with my own glare and shrug my shoulders, turning my attention to my best friend sitting awkwardly at the table. 

"Everything okay in here?" I ask staring intensely into her eyes as I continue to empty the items from the bags. She looks back at me and her cheeks instantly flush before breaking our stare and looking towards Chris. 

Nick adds, "Yeah what's with the awkward silence, usually you two don't ever shut the fuck up." I chuckle to myself as I watch him turn the oven on. 

I noticed her and Chris exchange a knowing glance before they burst out laughing. I grit my teeth at their reaction, Chris annoyingly saying "yeah yeah we're good" patting Nick on the back and thankfully it's Nick who stands closer to him cause i would have swung on him right then and there for sticking his face between the legs of my girl.

She gets up and walks over to me a smile planted on her perfect and fucked out face. She stands beside me the heat of her body pressing against my side as she helps me gather the ingredients.

"Yeah it's all good guys let's make some fucking brownies" she says as she picks up the egg carton. I let out a heavy sigh and she shoots me a quick side glance with a raised brow. I decide to suffocate my jealousy with a hard swallow and smile back at her.

As we start mixing the missing ingredients in all I can think about is how much I regret wanting these fucking brownies.

Then in the future they would be more comfortable to switch (and the bicker about who should be the big or small)
