Part 1 of my silly self-indulgent personal project to do a bunch of portraits of the World Enders (and I guess a couple other related characters). This set is all canon characters.

PLEASE NOTE that like while there's plenty here that's canon as far as names and sometimes faces go, a LOT of the info is part of a collaborative RP/writing project with @spectromagic so like, please don't take all of this as solid fact, just enjoy the cute and very simple little portraits, haha.

I'll do a part 2 or even 3 eventually but those will almost all be OCs we've used to fill out the gang. These folks at least you might have heard of from the band themselves! (Honestly Charlie is only here because she's named in canon and had a namedrop in what we've written so far unlike some of the other canon folks who we haven't really used like Tender Freddie or Jimmy Doll).

More Teen Dad Logan AU:

he's around 20 when this happens, having gotten his GED at 18, and taken a year off to settle more into normal life and bond with Laura.

I think he would actually love community college. There's a ton of different people of a ton of different ages. Firefighters, other single parents, other young people, even retirees.

I also imagine he takes up boxing, as advised by Charles, to get him to talk to other people. The fact that he's good at teaching is quickly discovered, and he finds himself with a part-time job.

I also believe the best degree would be something technical, like welding or autobody. Hell, he might even work towards getting a degree to work with Motorcycles since he likes his so much.

Now, imagine: he's finished his classes and he's going to go home for lunch before heading to the boxing gym, when he gets unfortunate news: Victor can't keep watching Laura, because his Evil math professor threw a project on him that was due that night, and his groupmates were all non mutants, and thus not allowed into Xavier’s.

Logan explains the situation to his boss, planning to just head home and stay there, to which his boss just responds: why don't you just bring your kid?

He's a little unsure, because for all his talk about how much he loves Laura he's also tried his best to keep his work life and personal life separate.

Still, making money and getting to take care of his kid sounds good. Victor agrees to stop by the workout center to drop her off.

He picks her up with one arm like a piece of luggage, and slings her diaper bag over his other shoulder. He breathes, nods to Vic, and turns He walks into work, and there is a beautiful, ringing moment of silence-

and then everyone attacks them.

See.

Here's the thing.

Despite Logans young age, his demeanor and experience sort of led everyone to believe he was in his mid twenties, early thirties. So, they sort of thought he was going to bring around a kindergartener, maybe a preteen.

Not a toddler.

And, Laura is adorable. She has tiny little low cheek dimples, Logan's piercing blue eyes, an her hair is a light mousy brown. Even cuter, she was already giggling hysterically from being carried around like a fancy dog.

This, obviously, means that the entire room of grown men are immediately turned into a pile of goo.

Logan's swarmed by roughly 30 guys, all trying to say 'hi' to Laura first and show her 'all the cool stuff; they can do. This ends up ranging from an older man squeezing a heavy grip machine, to the seventeen and nineteen year old doing handstands. Lo just freezes, pulling his daughter closer to him in an aborted motion to protect her from the wave of people surrounding them

Finally, Logan's boss manages to wrangle (ie. scream even louder than Sabretooth himself) everyone away from the baby and back to doing their lessons.

The next half hour is pretty typical. Logan helps people on their form, does a guided fight, and assists the older man unwrap his hands after his practice.

Then, seventeen year old boy, a redhead, and nineteen year old. a brunet, are muttering in between each other for a minute after their lesson. Eventually, they flit over to Logan to ask. He's waiting for something to do anyway, with Laura in his lap as she plays on his phone.

Logan agrees to watch over their match, and calls for them to start.

In less than twenty seconds, something seems to change. The brown haired boy says something that obviously irritates the seventeen year old. He twitches, and then thumps the other boy with a punch to the gut that sends the nineteen year old strait to this knees, where he gags.

everyone in the room stops to look, and it's only then when they realize that Laura just saw that.

They think she's going to be frightened, maybe even burst into tears. She's little after all, she must be scared or at least freaked out.

Instead, she throws her head back and cackles in a way that would be terrifying if she wasn't three.

....it was still a little terrifying.

(Logan chuckles too, but that's mostly because he knows she's copying sabretooth.)

Back to. What I do best. Which is low to no effort comics. I still feel like I should redesign my teatime Moe BUT... the mental image of this playing out was so powerful.

I've said in the past that a focal part of the dynamic is both of them managing to be extremely affectionate with each other while hesitating to act on their feelings -- however, I also think it's just as important. The fuck around and find out factor. The way Alfonse will just choose violence, sometimes. The way Moe can be really forward (jokingly or just completely forthcoming about it), but gets skiddish and jumpy when that affection is returned. AND. AND. The way Alfonse will just. Do The Most. MORE than The Most. He is returning the energy tenfold. One thing I believe in my heart is that if you think you're weird for something, Alfonse can and WILL prove to you that he can get Weirder about it. This here is a tame example all things considered, but it is an example!

🦋 i don't know why but she sounds like Paige O'Hara in my head, with a hint of a southern accent (that goes up to 100% only in certain scenarios)

🦋 after being kicked out and wandering around for a couple months, she eventually arrived in St. Louis and was taken in by a tailor (that i've actually ♦️ named ♦️ before) until she could find her bearings. his boyfriend business partner gave her the job at the boutique!

🦋 currently in her late 20s, slutty and proud- focuses on men but isn't at all opposed to getting with women. not interested in romance, nobody's allowed in her apartment for longer than one night lmao

🦋 despite not being interested in romance for herself, she does love reading about it, listening to love songs, seeing others be in love, etc- and she'll give you great advice on the topic! Rocky and Ari are simultaneously her favorite and most frustrating real life romcom at the moment gdskgds

y'all can all cancel me (again) for this, but if there's even a SHRED of 'who should I pick?' from Penelope in season 3, I am tuning out SO fast because like. . .sorry not sorry, there IS no choice. Debling is some crusty OC suitor she barely even knows and Colin is a man who she has been so supposedly in love with to the point where she'd ruin her entire family's reputation to have a potential love story with him. Penelope and Colin have background, years of knowing each other, intimacy that few people in the Ton can boast of having (letters, conversations about purpose, fights and arguments and makeups) and her and Debling have. . .a dance or two at a ball because he's a rebound for Penelope's broken heart. he means nothing. he has no nuance, he has no weight to the story, he is such an afterthought to me. either I wanna see Penelope going 'you know what? I don't even LIKE this dude. he's. . .fine, but I don't care about him even a shred as much as I care about Colin' or the INSTANT Colin's like 'you know what? we should get married' if it's not an immediate 'say less, you're already my husband, try returning me without the receipt, Debling whomst?' then I don't want it!

like. . .it's just so frustrating to see all the 'I hope Debling sweeps her off her feet and she rejects Colin's proposal and she makes him work for it and and and-' nonsense from the fandom and it's always tagged and no matter how many times I block it, it just keeps popping up. I go into the Polin tag for POLIN. I don't give a SHIT about a male love interest other than Colin. Not one. Not a shred. Not an iota.

and also. . .Debling has the 'benefit' of not having depth, or character traits, or HISTORY, so peeps can project onto him however they want, but I'm calling it now, there is NOTHING he could do or be that would make me like him more than Colin. Colin will always hit different, and I will always love him more. and if Pen's not on that same page? lol bye

you want me to believe Penelope and Colin are soulmates and it's romance for her to hem and haw about how difficult a decision it is for her to marry a stranger who knows barely anything about her. . .

when Marina was out here dropping banger lines like 'You were the only man with which I could see myself being happy' and 'I do not care about any of these men, where is Colin?'? like hello??? and she wasn't even fully in love with him!!!! but we'll demonize her until the cows come home in our fandom and make her the villain in Polin's love story for DARING to get in between Polin, yet Debling, a white man, is a darling dear perfect prince for getting in between Polin? existing in our fandom solely so Penelope can be like 'lol, Colin ain't shit, let me entertain any and everyone else'?

if that's the direction it goes then, ten toes down and on my mama, she doesn't deserve Colin and she can move because I'm on my way to court him my damn self
