Do you think that there could be a Correlation & causation between having Alice in wonderland programming and having Alice in wonderland syndrome? My aiwl syndrome was recently triggered due to a mix of finals week and an abnormal med reaction and thought you might know about it since googling about programming just comes up with cs and game design.
No.  Alice in Wonderland Syndrome and Alice in Wonderland programming are two completely different things.
AIWS (Alice in Wonderland Syndrome),Todd’s syndrome or dysmetropsia, is a neuropsychological condition and has some identifiable causes: Migraine, temporal lobe epilepsy, brain tumors, psychoactive drugs and Epstein-barr-virus infections are causes of AIWS. AIWS happens most often in children and young adults (and, for some, eventually stops occurring over time).
One study found that 33 percent of people who experienced AWS had infections. Both head trauma and migraines were tied to 6 percent of AWS episodes. But more than half of AWS cases had no known cause.
Alice in Wonderland programming does not cause Alice in Wonderland Syndrome.

We’ve recently been researching ramcoa to figure out what happened in our expierience, and we think we had Alice in wonderland programming, but I can’t find a lot of information about it. Can you explain it a little more in depth?
🗝️🏷️ RAMCOA, weird childhood torture shit, mild swearing
I don’t think we have an Alice in Wonderland script, but I can describe some of our features that might’ve been ripped off from it. There are a few people who’ve written long descriptions, but it’s not the easiest read.
A programming script is a piece of media superimposed onto a dissociative system. Alters might have roles or names tied to the story, the map of the innerworld similar to given landmarks, programs related to plot lines.
Alice in Wonderland is fairly common because of its age and thematic elements (an “induction” into another world, a guide figure, fantastical nonsense). There are also several versions of the media in circulation, which makes it easy to pick one for the kid to memorize.
The particular programs you have depend on the kid and the perps, and some groups have a set method of using a piece. The major points are all included in some way, but the variation can be pretty extreme because it’s been used in this context for so long.
It hasn’t been my experience that an absolute understanding of the media is required, but it’ll be pretty center stage if it’s the main script used for your system. Don’t look into the media if you can help it.
This is a mix of what I know and what I guess based on the stuff my system has, so feel free to take and leave as much as you want.
Some big ones (not all require the script, nor will the script guarantee these items):
Characters (can be 1 or more of each)
White Rabbit - programmer (introject or npc), guide role, sometimes carries a pocket watch related to programs
Alice - host or amnesiac alter, confusion and alienation from other alters, has a visitor effect for the programmed alter
Dodo - gatekeeper, introduces Alice to nonrules of Wonderland, opposites programming, sometimes scramble in the form of trained learning disability symptoms
Caterpillar - gatekeeper of sorts, apathetic guide, blows smoke that triggers memory movement (gaining or losing)
Cheshire Cat - gatekeeper, trickster guide, sneaky cat, important but uncooperative, smile and stripes usually stick depending on the role
March Hare - persecuter kinda, crazy and no escape programs, party guest at teatime
Mad Hatter - higher up, crazy and no escape programs, time loss amnesia, disobeys time and normality
Dormouse - sleep program, drugged sedation, doesn’t mind chaos, spooks easy
Flowers - no good programming, berate Alice and target weak spots, might be alter or landscape
Queen - higher up, strict enforcement of nonsense rules, obedience without question, trails and parties and croquet in the palace, commander of card army
Events
Rabbit hole - induction, sometimes includes disorientation or vertigo, feature of the innerworld, no panic despite situation
Eat me - if literal it messes with interoception or scramble/shutdown, also might be the name of a program or cue, the tear river and hall of doors as well as prop fan, gloves, and food may be traps in the innerworld. Enforces backwards thinking and lack of concrete rules
Teatime - may include the screeching duchess and pig baby, the Cheshire Cat takes Alice to the Mad Hatter. It is always 6 o’clock, but the date changes, enforcing amnesia for time loss. Everyone at the tea party insists Alice is the mad one. Lots of cue phrases come from this scene, the tea may represent various functions
Party - the Queen of Hearts throws a party and demands Alice join her game or croquet, obedience, fear, sometimes party refers to torture, leads to trial and escape
All of that is the first book. Another big thing is Looking Glass programming, where mirror fragments of alters split as a deterrent against exploration of forbidden areas. Card hierarchy, garden maze, and reality reversal are all possible too.
Lots of options, as with everything, and it’s entirely possible you have this script and don’t see any of these in your system. Consuming source media tends to reinforce programming, so have a support system who really knows how to handle your shit if you need to look.

Some previews of progress! I did some flat color for the sprites and a monochrome version of the background. Most of it is testing how things will look before I finish the final backgrounds !
My programmers are hard at work!
Fair warning to anyone doing their own game, always look at the sizes and specs of your program! I had to do some major adjustments because my drawings were too tall and not wide enough creating the…unique look.
Also sprites should be scaled together ! Some characters look bigger than others despite being smaller. Such as Mathilda looking like a giant in the photo. Another reason to pay attention to the size of your artwork!

50 Free Typesets
Tumblr media
New achievement unlocked! I now have 50 public domain books/typesets available for FREE in my library! 🥳 Above is a collage of all 50 title pages.
What does this mean? It means that these classic books have been typeset (typographic, book design, layout work done), and are ready as pdfs that can be used to read, print out, book bind, or burn at your pleasure! (Just keep it to personal use only!)
The full list (with page sizes now noted) of all 50 books available can be found here on my tumblrary directory/masterlist (which will update as I add more), and below the break of this post!
Please please feel free to request access to my library (aka, yee good ol' googly drive). I usually respond within 24 hours, and they are indeed free! Just leave credit if you use, and consider liking/reblogging!
Also, if you find any errors in the files, let me know! I made these in Affinity, not with an AI program, and typos are natural spawns XD
From Frankenstein to Pride and Prejudice, to Sherlock Holmes to a dude that wakes up as a bug, I've been honored to be able to typeset these books and share them with all of you.
A part of me wants to ramble on about the behind the scenes and my continuing personal journey of amateur typesetting...but I think the most important thing I can say is simply thank you! to everyone that's stopped by! So thank you all! (And should I try for 100? 🤔 Hmmm...)

Concept: Yandere!Alice in Wonderland Characters (but it's only the White Rabbit for this piece) x Reader
Tumblr media
“Wake up! Please, wake up!”
At the desperate call of the static-laden voice, your eyes groggily open. Your head hurts, thrumming with heavy noise. The artificial lights are too bright and yellow, staining your vision like aged-paper. It makes your headache worse.
“Oh no, are you ill?” a voice teeters. Face scrunched, you look up to see a screen hanging over you. A small image of a pixelated white rabbit flickers on and off. “Oh no, oh no… we’re so behind schedule…”
“What…” you being, head swirling. You don’t understand where you are or what’s happening. You don’t even really remember anything, for that matter. It makes you feel sick.
“Ah, I’m really sorry,” the pixelated rabbit apologizes, looking quite guilty. “Yes, yes, it’s quite a lot to take in…”
Before you know it, the screen the pixelated rabbit is on moves closer to you. The blue light is bright, making you squint.
“Hello, [Alice],” it greets you softly. “My name is WH173-R48817, though most call me White Rabbit or White.”
“My name isn’t [Alice].” You’re not sure where that statement came from, but it feels wrong to be referred to as [Alice].
“Ah… Ah, yes, certainly,” White’s voice murmurs.“Apologies. What would you like to be called?”
You tell White a name – you’re not entirely sure where that name came from, but it feels right.
“Understood. I will refer to you as such.” With a comforting smile, White continues. “Now, as I was saying… I am the White Rabbit System, an AI system that helps manage things in this lab.”
“A lab?”
“Yes,” White responds. “We are currently in a laboratory.”
Your eyes flicker around the room and it’s quite obvious now that you are, in fact, in a lab-like place. You’re comfortably resting on a surgery bed as jars of… body parts line the shelves around you.
“You are a part of the Wonderland Project as the most successful participant. Now that you’ve regained consciousness, we must exit the starting point.”
You stare at White blankly, its words doing very little to reveal anything substantial to you. However, White is far too frazzled to properly listen to you, going on its own little tangent. You didn’t think an AI could be so… anxious.
“We’re already quite late!” it frets while you eye it. The screen White is on is embedded into some device on the wall. You doubt the device will be able to move outside of the room.
“How are you going to exit this place?” you ask.
“Ah, look at me, being a klutz,” it sighs, somehow looking bashful despite being an AI. “A moment, please.” And just like that, the screen it was displayed on flickers off, the blue light fading away. Momentarily, you’re stunned, until you hear the soft footfalls approaching you. You turn your head to see a tall man with bunny ears.
“Greetings,” he says. His voice sounds like White’s, though a little deeper and more human. “I wondered which form would be the most efficient, and decided that this one would work best.”
“What.”
He continues walking closer to you as he talks. “I have a few bodies that I can connect my programming to. This is one of them.” When he finally reaches you, you can see how tall he is. He’s rather lanky and thin, but his height is enough to be intimidating. “Pardon me. I’m not that fond of touching others myself, but I have no choice,” he mutters, before reaching for you and cradling you in his arms faster than you can process what’s going on. “Hold on to me. We are quite behind schedule.”
“Behind schedule? For what?”
“The continuation of the Wonderland Project, of course.”
“And why exactly do I have to be a part of this project?”
White peers down at you curiously. “Well, isn’t it obvious?” he asks. “Because you’re the most important key, of course. We need you.”
With that, he leaves the room with you in his arms.

Hey, I’ve been looking through your posts for awhile and have a few questions about possible scripts
1- I cannot seem to find an Alice In Wonderland post? Can it be used as a script and if so, what would the parts be?
2- can Peter Pan be used as a script? Again, what would the parts be?
Thank you- I hope you have a great day.
Hi,
There is an AiW FAQ here.
Yes, Peter Pan can be used as a script.
Here are some parts:
I’ll give the typical rolls for the main characters in Peter Pan programming. (original character rolls, trauma based script)
Peter: (with shadow) System helper, he will know where other helpers are, and some maps.
Peter: (without shadow) Will be a system monitor. He will know the other alters, where they are supposed to be in Neverland, and will punish the alters who try to break their programming. He can be an internal programmer.
Peter’s Shadow: Ghost alters.
Tinker Bell: Reporting alter to Peter, they are young alter. Fairy dust will be used to dissociate and forget.
Wendy: Strong front alter who assists with navigating day to day life. She will respond to call backs one time a year. Internal care taker.
Captain Hook: Assists with keeping the system balanced. Peter’s opposite.
Crocodile: System hunter.
Nana: System protector.
Lost Boys: Will be alters the programmers place in. There will be alters named after the characters. Twins (twinning), Nibs (the bravest), and Slightly (hold memories) for example.
Piccaninny tribe: Group loyal alters.
Some of the symbols used in Peter Pan programming are: Shadows, leaves, feathers, flutes, hooks, clocks, and infinity loops.
Take Care,
Oz

A warning for trauma survivors looking for online support
You may have come across the acronym "RAMCOA", which stands for "ritual abuse, mind control, and organized abuse."
If you search the Internet for RAMCOA, you might come across a result like this:
Tumblr media
If you click the link, you'll be taken to a site that briefly describes what RAMCOA supposedly is, with content like:
MC - Mind Control. A shortened form of TBMC, standing for Torture Based Mind Control. MC is also known as programming, where victims are repeatedly tortured starting at a very young age to intentionally cause a system of dissociated parts that function perfectly to suit the abusers' needs.
alpha : a base program, one of the very first implemented. it trains the victim's mind to accept every order given by handlers willingly. parts with alpha programming will often have no will of their own, and very little personality outside of following orders.
aiw : alice in wonderland. typically split into 3 different sections : black alice, white alice, and crazy alice. ideally, a system scripted with aiw would have all three. white alice makes sure the system forgets the trauma, black alice makes the system feel like theyll be a danger to others if they remember the trauma, and crazy alice makes the system think theyre making it up or going insane if they ever remember it.
Literally all of this comes from a conspiracy theory - specifically, the Project Monarch alter programming conspiracy. It was developed and pushed by far right conspiracy theorists. Most of what people run into specifically traces back to Fritz Springmeier, a man who claimed in the 90's that the fight for gay rights was part of a plot to enthrone the antichrist in the year 2000. The Project Monarch conspiracy theory was always adjacent to the Satanic Panic, if not a somewhat niche part of it. If you start checking citations, you will find many of these people citing Svali, a conspiracy theorist who gets a lot of her material from Springmeier. (Example 1, example 2.)
This is no accident. The term RAMCOA was created by the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), which was created by and for psychologists who believed in the myths promoted during the Satanic Panic.
The RA part comes from "satanic ritual abuse," which was coined by Dr. Lawrence Pazder of Michelle Remembers (cw for descriptions of horrible abuses) fame. Lawrence Pazder is the man who effectively started the Satanic Panic. It cannot be overstated that Pazder, now a known malpractitioner, was considered the expert on ritual abuse during this time.
The MC part comes from "trauma-based mind control," which was coined to refer to the alleged abuses inflicted in Project Monarch. Parts of this conspiracy theory that can't be traced back to Fritz Springmeier can usually be traced back to Cathy O'Brien and Mark Phillips, two other (really racist) conspiracy theorists.
Ultimately, the entire conspiracy theory is constructed from tropes that go back to The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion (a known antisemitic hoax), blood libel, and early modern witch panic.
Searching the Internet for RAMCOA resources, ritual abuse, or trauma-based mind control will always bring you to conspiracy theorists.
(Also, the term OEA, which stands for "organized extreme abuse," will lead you to conspiracy theorists as well.)
So yeah, if you're looking for support, be very wary of this stuff. It will absolutely not help you heal; just the opposite.

I had a very long Star Wars dream last night. Baffling level of narrative coherency for a dream.
Started out with Obi-Wan Kenobi, our bespectacled thirty-something, going to a university for a Grad Student thing. He's been working for nonprofits for some time, and wants to get a degree to further his work.
He gets to an advisor's office, (which is a Generic Salt-And-Pepper White Man buuuuuut we could probably swap out for an actual AU, maybe make it Mace?) who walks him through the courses and prereqs and so on. Great. All going good. He goes out to some kind of program meeting with his fellow grad students (some straight out of undergrad, some his age) and a sort of team lead person who is… Anakin Skywalker.
And it is. Tense. Like 'everyone can feel it' tense. Anakin's doing something Doctoral, whatever, and his purpose right now is to Program Manage these grad students in another department (Anakin does some analytics and database stuff for the department), and one of those students is Obi-Wan Kenobi and nobody can figure out what the damage is.
They attempt professionalism. They are… cordial. They avoid each other otherwise.
Several weeks in, there's a "we should talk confrontation" and Anakin blows up because the time to talk was years ago, Obi-Wan! Like five to ten years ago! When shit went down!
FLASHBACK TIME: These two were doing crime. It was a team of seven. I don't remember all of whom were involved but it was definitely them two, Rex and Cody, maybe Quinlan? and a few other people. (Not Ahsoka, she was excluded for safety because teenager).
They were probably doing some kind of Leverage stuff but also possibly some domestic terrorism. A job went bad, Cody died, and they all kinda split to do their own things. Partly this was to dodge law enforcement, but partly it was because they were all fucked up and grieving.
Obi-Wan wanted to take some time to himself to grieve, which Anakin was upset about because they're not just brothers in arms, they're basically brothers, at least in Anakin's eyes, and they had a huge blow-up fight about it. They haven't spoken since.
(Rex is in Anakin's life again. He acts as an Uncle figure to the twins. He is also… not in the best mental space, considering his own dead brother.)
Obi-Wan ends up getting pulled aside to talk to someone, probably Mace or Yoda, and a no-criminal-activity version of the story spills out. And it's very 'well what the fuck am I supposed to do with that' because the person pulling him aside was thinking it was like… they had a one-night stand before the program started and now they don't know how to navigate the power dynamic, not grief and distance and family bullshit.
IDK where it was gonna go from there, I think they were still circling each other like feral cats trying to decide what to do when I woke up.
(There was a sideplot about Padme and the twins doing fun things in the basement, but the fun things included a well that they'd use to act out Alice in Wonderland and other insane stuff. Which they loved but was weird. Why do you have a well that's at least ten feet deep in your basement, Padme. Why are you putting your kids in there. Also I had to run away from a bunch of wasps into a pool.)
Rex and Cody! Are just! Background Grief Bullshit! But it hovers over the entire fic.
I think Quinlan should bully his way back into Obi-Wan's life before the plot starts.
And he's the one that angles Obi-Wan into going to This Specific University. That Anakin's at.
He didn't expect them to be that close contact, just wanted them to run into each other in the hall and make amends. In my mind, the timeline is that the crime group broke up for opsec, then a year or two later Quinlan shows up on Obi-Wan's doorstep with intent to Friendship.
Obi-Wan would have done the same with Anakin but their fight was so big and horrible that he doesn't think he'd be welcome.
NGL even in the dream I was like "wow this seems like a really intense Obikin fic concept," but every time I thought about it, the dream would hammer in on the BROTHERS thing again.
