I know you don’t really go here but Alex Morgan playing her last ever game tonight is really getting to me. I grew up watching her and while I’m so so happy for her I’m still sad. She’s really done so much for women’s soccer and I’m just having a hard time I guess. Maybe my emotions are futile but wow. This one is hitting hard.

Micaella’s pov:

My alarm goes off at 6:00 am for me to get ready for a light training session and breakfast before the game. I turn on some music to hype myself up and then I roll out of my hotel bed and I start to get ready. While I get changed, I start dancing to the music and then I wake up my teammate/ roomie, Alex Morgan and her daughter Charlie. After I get them up, I get a text from Lelia, my Spanish defender's best friend. I look at the text and it says “that I can't wait to win against y’all and see my special girl.” I laughed and texted her back saying “in your dreams love and that i can't wait to see her too.” After I finished texting her, I put on my shoes and I put my phone in my jacket. Once I'm done, I grab my room key and head down to the cafeteria, I sit next to my team moms Ali and Ashlyn.

I got some food and sat down next to my team moms and then I grabbed my phone to see if I got any texts from my family or friends. I looked at my phone and I saw that my family texted me “good luck and we will be watching you play and cheering you on.” I smiled replying back saying “thank you so much family and i can't wait to see you all at the game.” Then I checked my other messages and noticed that Lelia texted me back and she asked “which hotel are you staying at cause I'm pretty sure we are at the same hotel.” I then look up and look around the room and I eventually look in front of me and I see Lelia and I look around to see if anyone is watching. Once I see no one watching, I tell my moms that I think that I see someone that I know and then I walk off to see Lelia. Once we walk out to the hallway, I see some of her teammates staring at us. Jenni, one of her teammates, says out loud “damn shes hot and thick. “Another teammate giggles and then looks up and stares at me top to toe. I look over at her and I blush softly.

“Guys this is Micaella, Micaella meet Jenni, Claudia, Sandra and last and least Alexia”. The second eldest of the small group gave Lelia a tap to the back of the arm for that comment before she reached out a hand to shake my hand. “The pleasure is all mine” is what Alexia says with a small kiss to my cheek after she gave me a hug. I started blushing uncontrollably. Sandra was quick to notice this and in an attempt to distract me she asked me “so I can see that you are a fan of barca, does it have a name on the back?” Her question instantly makes me blush and makes Lelia laugh her ass off. I said “ummm yeah” I was scratching the back of my neck and avoiding eye contact with any of them. Claudia then asks “Can we see whose name it is and I turn around to show that it's Alexia`s name on my back. Jenni says “ Puetellas looks like you have a beautiful fan. I'm super jealous .” I blush harder and I notice Alexia smirking at me and she says “good thing that I am a big fan of her too and she's definitely beautiful. Also back off Hermoso she's not going to fall for your charms”.

I could hear the teasing tone but also something a bit more forceful to it. I then look at Alexia and she looks at me with a soft smile that quickly becomes a smirk. “Jersey swap? This one doesn't seem quite right”. She tugged on the bottom of your shirt before pulling her match worn shirt over her head. “Better yet just have this one too” . I say “ I'm american. This could be seen as treachery” even though I took the shirt from her. “ Dont worry ill give you a barca shirt as well. You can collect it when you come to a barca game, she says with a wink. “I will definitely come and see you all play'' is what i say. With a wink and another kiss on my cheek, this one close to my lips, alexia walks off with her teammates after sending me another smile . I didn't realize that Lelia was still there until she touched my hand, “ I expect to be the first name on the wedding invite list”. I blushed and walked away back to the cafeteria.

I wasn't sure what the future would hold but I knew there was a game watching a spanish beauty in there somewhere.

6. Episode of tv or webisode that defined the year for you?

ok i don’t watch very much tv bc im like. absurdly bad at watching it on my own but for some reason really good at paying attention when im watching with other people? so i think the only show i watched this year was lupin? or well. i was in the room when my roommates and best friend watched all but the first two episodes of house of the dragon lol. and we watched quite a bit of GBBO but i don’t count that. so . season 3 episode 2 of lupin (the reveal is insane!!!) or the season 3 finale of lupin (i’m still wrapping my mind around the last scene). honestly the entire season… crazy reveal after crazy reveal. so so so so good. omar sy my beloved…

13. How was your birthday this year?

so me and my birthday HISTORICALLY. do not get along. it’s always always always sucked lmfao. summer birthdays u kno? anyways. this year i got jamaican food from my fave jamaican place (another BANGER of a meal) and my parents got me an alex morgan USA jersey. i was supposed to go to nyc the next day to visit my friend and then my flight got canceled and i didn’t get that trip rescheduled until NOVEMBER which sucked complete ass but. honestly my birthday being mediocre means that it was significantly better than previous years bc i didn’t have a massive breakdown lmfaooo. i don’t have a picture of the jamaican food (i got shrimp and rice and jerk chicken i think) so have a goofy pic of my cat from that day
