Tbh I am pretty sure I will be cancelled for this. But I don't think arsenal needs a cb now. And about the players , chelsea are not playing so good like they are invincible, sometimes they play shit but they also win because of their mentality and Arsenal need to develop this too. Football is not all about taking all the good players or throwing money and winning 4-0 , 5-0 but also the satisfaction of winning 1-0 at the last moment. Everyday we can't play beautifully or flawlessly, but what I expect from my team is to fight till the last end

My personal motto is you can never have too many, but that being said I can def see your point too about not necessarily needing another cb. All I gotta say is that whoever ends up with Naomi Girma should count their lucky stars that they got her and treat her like the queen she is

from reporting right now, nay requested a trade last season around the same time that jae did. both of them signed 3+ year extensions when Stoney was there and then within a few months after she left both requested out.

I saw the news about Girma’s transfer to Chelsea and I felt like punching a wall… I feel like arsenal is all about love and care, but zero commitment to competition (I’m mostly talking about the sporting director, mostly). Honestly, I think the team lacks top/world class players, and that’s one of the biggest reasons that prevents them from winning the league.

They could do so much more it’s actually frustrating

I mean I wouldn't say we lack world class players because we definitely have some on the team. But honestly every team except for the one Girma ends up signing for will be missing out

makes me feel like a “bad fan” because there are still players at wave that i love, but damn is it hard to be a wave fan right now. i’ve been pretty vocal on other social media platforms about trying to hold the organization accountable and i know the whole thing about fandom is that you’re supposed to be loyal to your team but like. i don’t even live in the united states. idk what to feel. i know kansas city has had some *times* (not that the two organizations are equivalent). how have you balanced being a fan and also wanting accountability?

There are definitely sports fans that disagree with the way I support teams, but I'm a proponent of having a "main" team and then also supporting teams you vibe with. Up until the firing of Stoney, SD was one of those teams I vibed with, and losing them as one of my teams didn't really matter much to me since I still had my main team to cheer for.

At the end of the day, it's just a game. There's no such thing as required loyalty when compared to basic human decency. I find it hard to support teams that when push comes to shove shows their true colors. It's not worth it to me to sacrifice my own morality just for the sake of watching people kick balls for entertainment.

Hello??? Yeah we knew Stoney was at a funeral overseas when she got the call she was fired but it never occurred to me the fallout regarding her and her family's life.

“Your job is tied into your visa, it terminated all of our visas with immediate effect, and we were stuck in the UK without a home,” Stoney tells The Times.

This is disgusting behavior by San Diego. Yeah, the game is a business, but firing and stranding an entire family -- mind you, a family that was already mourning the loss of someone -- is beyond cruel and heartless. When someone sacrifices their home life and uproots their entire family to become your coach, you have an obligation not to treat them like trash, even if you decide to move on from their direction.

Glad Ellis is gone, but SD as a whole should have done better for Stoney and her family.
