Princess Rhaena Targaryen with her newest favorite, Alayne Royce, playing with her non-dragon pets.
I think they were in King's Landing by now but the Red Keep wasn't completed yet.

"In HOTD and Daella lives, Aenys married Alayne who is half Blackwood so everyone chokes down their urges because Gael will use Grey Ghost and will beat their asses."
Most normal wedding the Riverlands has seen in a while
Grey Ghost was outside the sept, Leonyra was about to pass out, Rhaenys and Daemon are the only things keeping a brawl from breaking out, Aenys and Alayne are too lost in each other’s eyes to notice. Viserys has to stop three attempted murders before he’s able to enter the sept, Alicent is pretending she isn’t here. Rhea is laughing, Naerys is begging Rhea to stop laughing.

TWOIAF/Fire & Blood: Aegon Sulks, Rhaena Gives Birth, Maegor's Builds, And Tyanna Whispers
Warning, Spoilers Ahead…
Maegor had made himself king, decimated the Faith, and taken a third wife.
Aegon, the former heir presumptive, has remained in Casterly Rock with Rhaena, his pregnant wife.
Almost everyone who accompanied the duo on their progress has abandoned them to swear fealty to Maegor, The only one to remain was Alayne Royce, Melony Piper, a former favorite of Rhaena, has arrived at Lannisport with her brothers to swear the loyalty of House Piper to Aegon.
Aegon is in a mood. He can’t grasp how his life went so wrong. One day he is the heir apparent, beloved of the smallfolk. The next day he is reviled by the Faith and abandoned by his friends and supporters.
Maegor’s supporters claimed Aegon was as weak as his father (Aenys). He’s not even a dragonrider! Aegon was referred to as the “Pretender” or “Aegon the Uncrowned”.
I can understand why no one is jumping up to support Aegon. First, Aenys was weak. There is nothing to suggest Aegon would be any different – he grew up pampered – how is he going to fight this war? Second, the Faith – which is dominant in the South – has radicalized the population against the Targaryens. Not many would risk their souls in a time era with heavy religious overtones. Third, Maegor has Balerion and Vhagar! Aegon’s side only has Dreamfyre, a rather young dragon. There is still a sizable population that were alive during the Conquest – they remember what those dragons are capable of! Maegor had demonstrated that he has no issue with unleashing Balerion. I don’t blame anyone for saying “no thank you” when it comes to this fight.
Lyman Lannister, the Lord of Casterly Rock, remained firm in his refusal to return Aegon and Rhaena to King’s Landing but refused to pledge his sword to Aegon.
I respect Lyman. It takes courage to tell Maegor the Cruel “no, I won’t be returning Aegon and Rhaena to King’s Landing”. Yes, Lyman has Casterly Rock and, yes, Visenya thought it might be difficult to take it but difficult is not impossible. Lyman is taking a risk that Balerion and Vhagar won’t show up at the Rock and perform a Harrenhal, part 2. Lyman is wise in not pledging his forces to Aegon’s cause. It has only been 40 or so years since the Field of Fire – Lyman must have heard the story from his father or grandfather of what occurred that day. The Westerlands have first -hand experience with the power of Balerion and Vhagar.
Rhaena gave birth to twin daughters at Casterly Rock, named Aerea and Rhaella. The High Septon wasted no time declaring the twins “abominations, fruits of lust and incense, accursed of the gods”.
Rhaena begged Aegon to take their family across the Narrow Sea to “Tyrosh or Myr or Volantis” for “I would gladly give up my own life to make you king, but I will not put our girls at risk”.
This is an interesting “What If?”. How would history have been changed if Aegon, Rhaena, and the twins fled across the Narrow Sea? Would Maegor have pursued the family? Would the family have become an early era Blackfyres with their descendants leading invasions and rebellions? The family would only have one dragon – would Dreamfyre have hatched eggs at any point?
Helaena Targaryen would have bonded with another dragon in this scenario. Aerea wouldn’t have died a horrific death. Rhaena’s life would have been so different – she would have been spared the numerous tragedies that made her so bitter and spiteful in her later life.
Another possible what if – what if Aegon and Rhaena had returned to King’s Landing? Maegor hadn’t committed any kinslaying yet. He remains childless. Aegon would be his heir as he is the next available Targaryen heir. Would Aegon have succeeded Maegor? Or would Aegon’s death only be delayed as Maegor becomes desperate to sire an heir? Rhaena is the only full-blooded Targaryen female of child-bearing years. Visenya is too old, Alysanne too young. Maegor might have executed Aegon to wed Rhaena.
The beginning of 43 AC found Maegor in King’s Landing, where he has taken charge of the construction of the Red’s Keep. The king ordered secrest passages and tunnels designed throughout the Keep and had a castle built within the castle, surrounded by a dry moat that would become known as Maegor’s Holdfast.
Maegor appointed Lord Lucas Harroway (Alys’ father) as the new Hand of the King. Men whispered that Maegor was ruled by three queens: Visenya, Alys, and Tyanna of the Tower. Tyanna was not loved by the populace – they referred to her as the “mistress of whisperers” or the “king’s raven”. It was said the vermin of King’s Landing (rats and spiders) came to her to tell of men speaking against the king.
Tyanna would be the first “Master of Whispers”. Did Maegor create the position? Did Jaehaereys, based off of Tyana’s success, institute the role as part of the Small Council?
Up next, the Faith hasn’t learned their lesson and decide to wake the dragon – again!

Rhaena Targaryen was the blood of the dragon, and far too proud to linger long where she was not wanted. She departed Fair Isle that very night, taking wing for Casterly Rock upon Dreamfyre after instructing her husband and companions to follow her by ship, “with all those who might love me.” When Androw, flushed with anger, offered to face his brother in single combat, the queen quickly dissuaded him. “He would cut you to pieces, my love,” she told him, “and were I to be thrice widowed, men would name me a witch or worse and hound me from Westeros.” Lyman Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, had sheltered her before, she reminded him. Queen Rhaena was confidant that he would welcome her again.
Androw Farman, Samantha Stokeworth, and Alayne Royce set out to follow the next morning, together with more than forty of the queen’s friends, servants, and hangers-on, for Her Grace had gathered a sizable coterie about her as the Queen in the West. Lady Elissa was with them as well, for she had no intention of remaining behind; her ship, the Maiden’s Fancy, had been made ready for the crossing. When the queen’s party reached the docks, however, they found Ser Franklyn waiting for them. The rest of them could go, and good riddance, he announced, but his sister would remain on Fair Isle to be wed.
The new lord had brought only half a dozen men with him, however, and he had seriously misjudged the love the smallfolk bore his sister, particularly the sailors, shipwrights, fisherfolk, porters, and other denizens of the dockside districts, many of whom had known her since she was a small girl. As Lady Elissa confronted her brother, spitting defiance at him and demanding that he get out of her way, a crowd gathered around them, growing angrier by the moment. Oblivious to their mood, his lordship attempted to seize his sister…whereupon the onlookers rushed forward, overwhelming his men before they could draw their blades. Three of them were shoved off the docks into the water, whilst Lord Franklyn himself was thrown into a ship’s hold full of fresh-caught cod. Elissa Farman and the rest of the queen’s friends boarded Maiden’s Fancy untouched and set sail for Lannisport.

Queen Alysanne and her sister Queen Rhaena ! With the attributes of Egyptian deities and royalty. With their dragons & in the case of Alysanne, pregnant with one of her kids & with her daughter Daenerys.
Alysanne is represented much like was Great Royal Wife Nefertari bellow 👇 with the addition of a representation of the couple of gods Nut & Geb above her crown (Nut towering above Geb, just like Alysanne can be said to be the true good ruler in her couple, coming up with many reforms and progressive ideas). Nefertari was an important Queen of Egypt, an advisor to her husband Ramses II, like Alysanne was to Jaehaerys. She bears the Sekhem sceptre, a symbol of authority, as well as the knot of Isis (tyet) on her pectoral - to be associated with this central figure of Egyptian mythology, the Queen of gods. At her side, Daenerys has the role & appearance of Horus, Isis' son, full of promesses of royalty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the other hand Rhaena is represented like the goddess Sekhmet, on account of her fiery temper and her violent actions (like feeding her husband to her dragon, or threatening her step-father with burning his castle down). She is full of wrath, but has a merrier and warmer side in the goddess Hathor, who represents love. She bears the was-spectre of gods, pharaohs and priests.
Alongside that, her pectoral & her bracelets represent the "four-headed beast" she formes with Elissa Farman, Samantha Stokeworth and Alayne Royce.

We know Rhaena loved Alayne
She preferred to spend her days with her siblings, her dogs and cats, and her newest favorite, Alayne Royce, daughter to the Lord of Runestone … a plump and homely girl, but so cherished that Rhaena sometimes took her flying on the back of Dreamfyre, just as she did her brother Aegon. (Fire & Blood)
Alayne asked, “Did you take your cousin Larissa flying too?”
“No, I never did. Dreamfyre was not large enough to carry the weight of two people, when Larissa was my companion.”
“Is she strong enough to carry us both? I am plump enough for two, my brother used to say. I could do with less flesh on my bones, he said, the last time I saw him. Princess Rhaena would be embarrassed by a plump and homely companion, with no claim to beauty to speak of, he claimed.”
“Your brother is a fool!” Rhaena exclaimed. “And he’s too skinny besides. At this rate, he’ll never be strong enough to wield a sword. He should be more concerned about putting more flesh on his bones. Tell him Princess Rhaena said so.”
Alayne tried to imagine the look on her brother’s face, if the message was ever conveyed. Not that she had any intention of conveying it. Her brother would only accuse her of making it up, no doubt. “Brothers are often foolish, I find,” she remarked. “The bane of a sister’s existence, all too often. I used to think I was the only one feeling that way, but ever since I arrived in court, I have heard the same sentiment expressed by so many. It is reassuring in one way, but disheartening in another.”
“Not all brothers are like that. My brothers are as delightful as little Aly. They are the joy of my life, my siblings.”
“Your love for your brothers and sister is very touching, Princess. It … well, it surprised me, truth be told, when I first came to court, to see how openly affectionate you are of your siblings,” Alayne confessed.
Rhaena regarded her with raised eyebrows, instead of the stern expression Alayne had been expecting. “Why were you surprised? Did you think I am incapable of love? Did you believe the tales told of me, that I am cold and unfeeling?” The princess seemed more amused than wroth, despite her questions.
“No, not cold and unfeeling,” replied Alayne. “Princess Rhaena is shy, it is often said. She prefers her books and her pets to people.”
“I prefer my books and my pets to some people. That is true enough.”
Eyes twinkling, Alayne asked, “Or most people?”
Rhaena laughed. “Perhaps. But certainly not all people.”
“Am I in that list?”
“Which list?”
“The list of people you prefer less than your books and your pets.”
“If you are, would I be asking you to fly with me?”

Great! So Sansa will escape on direwolf Hound, the biggest, fiercest one... :D
Androw Farman and Lysa Tully’s deaths have a ton of parallels
Both poisoners who used Tears or Lys
Both had tearful confessions in front of their spouse
Both “jump to their deaths from a great height” in front of their spouse because they were in love with their spouse but their spouse loved their sibling instead.
Both live with someone named Alayne and are jealous of the affection their spouse gives Alyane over themselves
Both are jilted lovers by their current spouse
Both in love with their spouse but their spouse isn’t with them
Androw is described like Lysa “puffy, round faced, fleshy”
Awkward sibling parallels- Rhaena was in love with Elissa, like Baelish was in love with Catelyn but Rhaena married Androw just as Baelish married Lysa.
His words “my wife can fly, and so can I.” Did remind me of Robert’s “make the bad man fly.”
Literally right after this section it has 2 lines about Rodrik Arryn, a boy of 10, having come untimely into his lordship after the death of his uncle and father. (Which does remind me of Robert Arryn, a boy of 8, having come untimely into his lordship after the death of his father and uncle (by marriage).

TWOIAF/Fire & Blood: The Wedding of Rhaena and Aegon
Warning, Spoilers Ahead…
We left off with Aenys exiling Maegor after he took a second wife. This won’t be the only controversial marriage during Aenys’s reign.
In non-marriage events, a new castle was being built atop Aegon’s High Hill: “built all in pale red stone, the king’s new seat would be larger and more lavish than Dragonstone, with massive walls and barbicans and towers capable of withstanding any enemy”. The citizens of King’s Landing named it the Red Keep.
In 41 AC, Aenys’ two eldest children were Rhaena (18 years old) and Aegon (15 years old). The two siblings had been close since childhood.  Aegon was lean, tall, handsome, and flirtatious with the ladies. Grand Maester Gawen informed the Citadel that “If the prince is not wed His Grace may soon have a bastard grandchild to contend with.”
Rhaena gave no encouragement to suitors, preferring to spend her days with her siblings, her pets, and Dreamfyre (her dragon). Rhaena’s newest favorite, Alayne Royce, was the daughter of the Lord of Runestone. Alayne was a plump and homely girl but was cherished by Rhaena.
Rhaena loved to fly, at times she took Aegon, other times Alayne, but she mostly flew by herself. At sixteen years of age, Rhaena declared herself a woman grown, “free to fly where I will”. She flew to Harrenhal, Tarth, Runestone, and Gulltown. It was rumored that Rhaena lost her virginity to a lowborn lover on one of these flights. Possible suspects were a hedge knight, a singer, a blacksmith’s son or a village septon. No one seemed to look in Alayne’s direction and she is the most likely suspect.
Eighteen-year-old Rhaena was three years older than her parents when they were wed. Aenys decided it was a perfect time for Rhaena to wed and who better for a husband than her own brother? For some reason, Aenys was surprised at the huge outcry of disgust over the announced betrothal. He seems to not remember that he exiled his brother for taking two wives. And they weren’t even related to Maegor! Why Aenys thought the Faith would be fine with incest when they had a fit over polygamy is a mystery. How can he be so clueless?
The Faith were on a roll. They had successfully forced Aenys to exile Maegor, and now they condemned incestuous marriages as an obscenity. Any child born of an incestuous union would be “abominations in the sight of gods and men”.
Aenys decided to finally grow a spine and refused to break the betrothal. Visenya informed Aenys he had two choices: 1) Wed Rhaenys and Aenys to other people, 2) Mount Quicksilver and burn the Starry Sept down. Aenys did neither.
The wedding was to be held at the Sept of Remembrance, built atop of Rhaenys’ hill, and named in her honor. The day of the wedding the streets were lined with the Warrior’s Sons of the Faith. And no, they weren’t there to congratulate the happy couple. Many lords, knowing it wouldn’t be wise to make an appearance, stayed away from the wedding.
Aenys made the situation worse at the wedding feast by declaring Aegon the new Prince of Dragonstone. The crowd went silent as the attendees all knew Maegor was the Prince of Dragonstone. Visenya left the hall without the king’s leave, mounted Vhagar, and returned to Dragonstone. The legends states when Vhagar passed the moon it turned red as blood. Doubtful but it’s an ominous omen.
Aenys has messed up big time. He’s lost the support of the Faith and the lords. He’s lost the favor of the smallfolk. And he’s turned the two strongest members of his family against him.
Why did Aenys grant his son the title of “Prince of Dragonstone”? At this point, it’s not a hereditary title for the crown prince. Maegor was the first “Prince of Dragonstone”. Maegor’s exile was for five years, not a lifetime. He would eventually return to Westeros – and Dragonstone. And to not inform Visenya before announcing it to the public? Bad move. She is his strongest advisor and he disrespected her – in public! She’s not the type to tolerate such offense.
Most mindboggling of all – why did Aenys think the Faith would accept incest when their outrage over Maegor’s polygamy caused his exile?
Up next, Aenys has made a disaster of his reign. Can he make a comeback?
