Agriturismo in the City is an innovative initiative that brings the agritourism experience to the heart of the city.

Ultimately, L'Agriturismo in Città is a program that heightens regional agriculture, publicizes characteristic local merchandise, and fosters a greater understanding of sustainable farming practices. This initiative deserves support and encouragement due to its positive impact on the community and local economy.

TRAINEE MISSION 016
SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER ( PART 1 OUT OF 1 ) SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: Cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise. for reference as to whether your muse is eligible for this event, please click over HERE.
it’s the start of the new year and after spending months playing various traditional korean games, some of the trainees are curious to know what will be in store for them this time around. as all of them are gathered inside the auditorium for their quarterly meetings, they soon noticed SEO YOUNGJAE standing in front of the stage with a microphone at hand.
“for this term, all of you will be participating in VARIETY SHOWS inspired by some of the classics that many of you should know; running man, infinite challenge, x-men, 2 days, 1 night, etc.” YOUNGJAE continues to explain the details of the project that they will be partaking for this term. “since there are so many trainees at the moment, we will be splitting all of you up to two groups; ONE for the BOYS and ONE for the GIRLS. while all of you will be the center of attention on these variety shows specials, all of you will be accompanied by some rather famous people you may know.” the coach then introduces V&A’s JEON HARU, FABULA’S MOON HAYOUNG and OH EUNHYE, TYPE ZERO’S SU PARKER and YOO DAEHO.
reactions could be heard loudly from the trainees and after everyone becomes quiet, YOUNGJAE calls each trainee by name and hands them details regarding what their schedule will entail.
VARIETY SHOW GROUPS
as YOUNGJAE mentioned, the groups will be split up by GENDER. the BOYS will be filming their own version of ‘FAMILY OUTING’, a variety show aired during 2008. it is considered one of the quintessential korean variety shows and a show that paved the way for many other variety shows due to the “family” dynamic, games, and activities.
on the other hand, the GIRLS will be filming their own version of ‘INVISIBLE YOUTH’, a variety show aired during 2009. it’s a variety show featuring kpop idols and how it is to experience the korean rural outdoors. the show became such a hit that it began promoting agritourism and environmentally conscious farming.
both of these shows will be combined into one called ‘LEGACY VARIETY SPECIAL’, which will be aired on LGCENT’s youtube channel starting APRIL. all of the episodes will be around 30 minutes long.
FAMILY OUTING - BOYS
from FEBRUARY 23-25, all of the MALE TRAINEES, HARU, PARKER, and DAEHO will be spending their weekend in NAMHAE COUNTY. all of them will be arriving at NAMHAE sometime during the afternoon ( in the case of the IDOLS, they will leave after they are done with the LGC WEBTOON EXHIBITION & SHOWCASE ). the IDOLS will be taking on the role of the HEAD OF THE FAMILY, so they will be the ones finding ways to make the content entertaining and take on the main emcee role if need be.
FRIDAY ( EPISODES 1-4; AIRING ON APRIL 9, 11, 16, and 18 )
all of the MALE TRAINEES will be split into two traditional houses based on whether they are the JUNIOR or SENIOR group. after all of them pick their beds, each of them will be asked to enter the ‘INTERVIEW ROOM’ where they will be in front of a camera recording and be asked questions regarding their thoughts and opinions about the experience so far. throughout the weekend, they will be given a chance to enter that room multiple times. each interview should last around 5 minutes or less to encourage everyone to appear at least once.
as for the IDOLS, they will be living in a separate traditional house with the rest of the staff members. all three of the idols will be staying in the same bedroom. similar to the trainees, they will have an ‘INTERVIEW ROOM’ where they can discuss their thoughts.
when everyone is present at the location, the IDOLS will introduce themselves to the trainees and all of them will meet the HOMEOWNERS of the houses they will be staying in the meantime. while the HOMEOWNERS go off on their short vacation, the IDOLS will be handed a list of household chores that all of them will have to do before the HOMEOWNERS return. they will be told that while completing the chores, there will be some challenges along the way.
CHALLENGE #1: the MALE TRAINEES will be split up into two groups; JUNIOR and SENIOR. they will be playing the TELEPATHY GAME and whoever wins the most rounds of the game will be the one GATHERING INGREDIENTS and CLEANING. the losing team will be PREPARING and COOKING tonight’s dinner. WINNING TEAM: JUNIOR / LOSING TEAM: SENIOR. the IDOLS will be playing rock, paper, scissors against each other to determine who gets what responsibility. PARKER will be joining the SENIOR TEAM while HARU and DAEHO will be joining the JUNIOR team. after dinner, the IDOLS will play another round of rock, paper, scissors, this time it’s PARKER and DAEHO as they compete over which group will be doing late night/early morning chores while the winning team will be sleeping earlier. whoever loses will be facing the consequences and that team will be the JUNIOR team.
SATURDAY ( EPISODES 5-8; AIRING APRIL 23, 25, 30, and MAY 2 )
the JUNIOR team ( plus HARU and DAEHO ) will be waking up around 4:00AM to prepare and cook breakfast for all of the boys. by around 9:00AM the SENIOR team ( plus PARKER ) will be woken up to have breakfast. after breakfast, both teams will be in three groups ( with each IDOL being the leader of the group ) as they work on some of the chores on their list ( eg. cleaning the house, washing dishes, feeding and taking care of the lamb and sheep, watering and tending the plants, etc ).
lunch time will be relatively the same, with all of the BOYS gathered in the center spot of the three houses and playing another challenge to determine who gets to gather ingredients, clean, cook, and prepare lunch.
CHALLENGE #2: teams will be split based on age. anyone who was born BEFORE NOVEMBER 1, 2001 will be in the OLD team ( this includes PARKER and DAEHO ) and anyone who was born AFTER NOVEMBER 1, 2001 will be in the YOUNG team ( this includes HARU ). both teams will be playing the RELAY DRAWING GAME, where the majority of the team will be asked to draw MOVIE/TV SHOW/DRAMA characters and one person will be the one guessing what the character is. this will go on for several rounds until a team reaches 5 POINTS first. WINNING TEAM: OLD TEAM ( will be cooking and preparing lunch ) / LOSING TEAM: YOUNG TEAM ( will be gathering ingredients and cleaning after lunch ).
continuation of the BOYS completing the chores until it’s almost DINNER time when they will be doing another challenge.
CHALLENGE #3: teams will be split based on training period again ( JUNIOR vs SENIOR ) and PARKER will be the HOST for this segment while HARU ( JUNIOR TEAM ) and DAEHO ( SENIOR TEAM ) will be playing one of the rounds of the QUICK RESPONSE GAME. their round will give 5 points to the winning team. as for everyone else, they will be doing one on one battles against each other with the game and whoever is the first to block the toy hammer OR hit the other person with the toy hammer will be the winner for their round. WINNING TEAM: SENIOR TEAM ( will be cooking and preparing lunch ) / LOSING TEAM: JUNIOR TEAM ( will be gathering ingredients and cleaning up after dinner ).
after dinner is done, they will have a segment called “LATE NIGHT CONVERSATIONS” where they will all gather around the bonfire outside and discuss any memorable instances during the day or messages that they would like to tell each other. when it’s around 10PM, all of them will get a chance to do some stargazing before they head back to their respective houses and sleep.
SUNDAY ( EPISODES 9-10; AIRING MAY 7 and 9 )
around the same time as the day before, the IDOLS are woken up first as they’re given the task to wake up all of the TRAINEES the fastest. whoever wakes up the most TRAINEES before 6AM will be given a chance to visit some of the rural villages of NAMHAE at a later time while everyone finishes the last bit of chores. WINNER: PARKER. as part of his reward, he gets to choose which people he would like in his team while everyone else will finish the remaining tasks.
half of the losing team will be given the task to go FISHING and their goal is to catch as many as they could within the next 4 HOURS. the other half will be given the task to take care of the lamb and sheep. lunch will be happening at different times for all three of the groups.
sometime around 1PM, the HOMEOWNERS will be returning back from vacation and bid the family farewell as everyone heads back to the buses, thus ending the filming for the show.
INVISIBLE YOUTH - GIRLS
from MARCH 1-3, all of the girls, HAYOUNG, and EUNHYE will be going to YUCHI-RI VILLAGE in HONGCHEON-GUN, which is the same location the first season of the show was filmed in. they will arrive at their destination late in the morning.
FRIDAY ( EPISODES 11-14; AIRING MAY 14, 16, 21, and 23 )
when all of them arrive, HAYOUNG and EUNHYE will act as the ‘VILLAGE CHIEF MCS’ ( they can decide on their personal nicknames for the show, but it must be related to farming ), where they will ask questions and get to know the female trainees to get an idea of how they feel about working in the farm for the weekend. then the two of them will collect all of the girls’ mobile phones and technological gadgets, which will then be kept with the staff to get the immersive experience. afterwards, they will meet with the rest of the villagers and get to know them and their roles/occupations.
to break the ice and have some fun with the elderly, the trainees and idols will be asked to have their impromptu talent show. trainees and/or idols can work solo or in small groups of 2-3 to create a performance that will entertain the villagers ( however, everyone can only perform ONCE and each performance will last around 1-2 minutes long ).
later on that day, the groups will be split into two; FRUIT TEAM ( led by HAYOUNG ) and CHICKEN TEAM ( led by EUNHYE ). the FRUIT team will consist of the girls from the JUNIOR training group while the CHICKEN team will consist of the girls from the SENIOR training group. the FRUIT TEAM will be given the task to go around the village and help the villagers collect any fruits that are ripe and ready to be sold or eaten and place them in boxes to give to the other families. meanwhile, the CHICKEN TEAM will be helping some of the farms clean the chicken coops.
it’ll be late afternoon when both teams are done with their tasks so they will be heading back home, where there are three traditional houses ( one for the junior group, one for the senior group, and one for the idols plus the staff ). similar to the boys, each of the houses has an ‘INTERVIEW ROOM’, where they can discuss their thoughts and feelings about their experience so far. it’ll be open multiple times throughout the day and each trainee and idol HAS to enter the room and participate in the interview segment at least once. due to the number of people involved in this show, everyone will be sleeping on futons.
with dinner all prepared for them, the girls will take the time to talk about how their day has been so far. both HAYOUNG and EUNHYE will act as the group facilitators, making sure that everyone has a chance to talk and to keep the conversations entertaining for the viewers. when dinner is done, everyone will be heading back to their houses and resting for the next day.
SATURDAY ( EPISODES 15-18; AIRING MAY 28, 30, JUNE 4 and 6 )
after having breakfast and getting ready for the day, all of them will meet up at the center of the three houses and film their introduction for today’s episode. the girls will be heading to a house where the OLDEST person ( BAEK MINHEE ) in the village lives. as a way to entertain and get to know the family, they will have a dance battle challenge! teams will be split based on age; anyone who was born before JANUARY 30, 2002 will be in the OLD TEAM while anyone born after JANUARY 30, 2002 will be in the YOUNG TEAM. HAYOUNG will be the leader of the YOUNG TEAM while EUNHYE will be the leader of the OLD TEAM. each of the girls ( minus the leaders, who will be the ones supporting the teams ) will have a one vs one dance battle to see who can impress and entertain BAEK MINHEE. WINNING TEAM: OLD TEAM / LOSING TEAM: YOUNG TEAM. the winning team will be given the TREE TASK while the losing team will be given the WOODEN FENCE TASK.
for the TREE TASK, the girls will be helping the BAEK family trim the old trees and plant new ones for their farm. for the WOODEN FENCE TASK, they will be helping the rest of the BAEK family chop wood and create a fence ( using the chopped wood and tree branches ) around a particular area of their farm.
when it’s close to dinner time, the same teams will be working on gathering ingredients, preparing, cooking, and cleaning. the OLD TEAM will be preparing and cooking dinner while the YOUNG TEAM will be gathering ingredients and cleaning up afterwards.
before all of them head to bed, they will take some time to stargaze and have a heart to heart conversation with each other. in between all of this, each of the girls will be asked to go to the INTERVIEW ROOM where they will have to vote on who they think had the most impact on them that day. when all of that is done, they will head to bed to get some rest and finish the last day of filming.
SUNDAY ( EPISODES 19-20; AIRING JUNE 11 and 13 )
just like the day before, after getting ready and breakfast they will meet with a group of vendors who sell some of their homemade products. all of the groups will be split into two groups; TEAM JUICE ( junior trainee group / leader: HAYOUNG ), TEAM SOAP BAR ( senior trainee group / leader: EUNHYE ). the vendors will hand each of the groups 50 of their products and those will have to be sold around the village and nearby areas the quickest. whoever sells all of them the fastest and returns back home will be given a chance to rest for an hour while the losing team will have to cook lunch for everyone. WINNING TEAM: TEAM JUICE / LOSING TEAM: TEAM SOAP BAR.
after lunch, filming will conclude as all of them gather and say their final farewell before heading to their buses.
as a reminder for everyone, all of the threads should be about what will be filmed/aired so as expected, please be professional about it! in addition, since there will be some groups busy with other events ( eg. mentor workshops ) they will be doing less requirements than everyone else.

Okay. Okay. I’m still not over this, but I’m starting to piece it together in my head.
This is NOT an accurate telling of the history of corn mazes. This is just a hypothesis.
So. What do we need for a corn maze? Well, we need cornfields, and we need the concept of a vegetation maze.
Hedge mazes are a European concept, first created in the mid 16th century.
And while indigenous Americans obviously had corn, they typically grew it alongside other plants and not in vast monocultures.
And so corn mazes can only exist after the widespread adoption of maize by Europeans AND the existence of hedge mazes.
But during this time, is a corn maze a good idea?
A corn maze isn’t something you make on a whim. It’s something that has to planned well in advance— and not only that, but with every path you draw, you’re losing some of your crop! And if you’re a farmer, that’s your entire livelihood! While the wealthy elite can afford to splurge on a purely decorative plant to make a maze from, you certainly can’t do the same with your product.
So a field with a maze needs to somehow bring in more money than a field without a maze to be worth considering. How does that happen?
Agritourism.
Agritourism only works as a concept when most of the population doesn’t already live on a farm. There’s no reason to draw people to your farm in colonial America, where 90% of everyone there sees a farm every day.
So this rules out any year before 1900 on principle alone.
Not only that, but to earn any actual revenue, you need a lot of middle and even lower-class people from cities and towns actually coming to your farm specifically. This isn’t feasible without the widespread adoption of the automobile.
And so corn mazes can only exist after 1920.
But why would anyone in 1920 focus on agritourism? The added costs of labor, advertising, and crop loss would far outweigh any revenue gained. The vast majority of family farmers were doing fine without it!
Until they weren’t.
As farming became more consolidated by massive corporations, family farms were suddenly seeing less and less money. All of a sudden, agritourism became a viable option. If you aren’t making that much money off of your crops in the first place, then it doesn’t matter too much if you hack them up a bit.
And when do we see a significant dip in the profits of family farms?
(from the USDA)
A large dip in 1975, and a nearly vertical slope around 1989.
Now the idea of a corn maze is a feasible one. Especially when the pressure to create new, novel experiences in your farm starts really packing on near the turn of the decade.
Corn mazes can only exist after 1989.
corn mazes were invented WHEN???

Goa attracts people with its calm scenery, clean beaches, and lively culture. Many now see it as a great place to invest in property. You can find villas in Goa that suit different needs. Maybe you want a quiet retreat, a new business, or a farm that makes money. Goa's property market has lots of options. You'll see villas for farming, homes that don't cost too much, and buildings for business use. This gives both investors and people looking to buy a home plenty of chances in Goa.
If you want to get closer to nature and try your hand at farming, buying an Agriculture Villa in Goa might be just the thing. These villas come with big plots of land, which are great to farm or grow organic crops. Goa has good weather and rich soil so these properties give you the perfect place to do some farming while enjoying the beauty of nature around you. Plus, these villas offer a quiet way of life, which is ideal if you're tired of the hustle and bustle of city living. For people who are into agritourism or want to live in a more sustainable way, an agriculture villa could give you a fulfilling and meaningful experience.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a cheaper option, you might want to check out a low-cost villa for sale in Goa. It could be a good investment. Goa's property market has lots of priced villas that give you good value for money without skimping on quality. You'll often find these properties in more peaceful areas, which makes them ideal for a holiday home, a place to rent out, or even a second house. Given how popular Goa is with tourists, these affordable villas could do well as rental properties giving you the chance to make money on your investment over time.
People with a business mindset might want to check out Commercial Villas for Sale in Goa. These properties open up a range of options. You'll find them in top spots perfect to turn into guest houses, small hotels, shops, or office spaces. Goa's booming tourism and business sectors make these villas great for business ideas. Randall Randy Konsker - How to Make Extra Cash from Your Farm
Running a farm can be rewarding, but it often requires more than just hard work to turn a profit. According to agricultural expert Randall Randy Konsker, finding additional revenue streams can help farmers stay financially secure. Here are some smart strategies to generate extra cash from your farm.
1. Diversify Your Crops
One of the simplest ways to make more money is by diversifying your crops. Randall Randy Konsker recommends experimenting with specialty crops like herbs, mushrooms, or berries, which often fetch higher prices at local markets. Offering seasonal produce can also attract more customers and provide steady income year-round.
2. Create Agritourism Experiences
Farms can be attractive destinations for city dwellers seeking a taste of rural life. Randall Randy Konsker suggests offering farm tours, pumpkin picking, or hayrides to generate additional income. Agritourism allows visitors to experience your farm while paying for activities and products. Adding farm-to-table dining or educational workshops can create even more revenue streams.
3. Sell Value-Added Products
Transforming raw products into value-added goods can significantly increase your profit margins. Randall Randy Konsker advises turning milk into cheese, yogurt, or butter, and fruits into jams or sauces. These items often have longer shelf lives and can be sold at a premium, especially if marketed as organic or artisan.
4. Lease Out Your Land
If you have extra land, Randall Randy Konsker recommends leasing it out to make extra cash without extra effort. You could lease land for events like weddings, use it for community-supported agriculture (CSA), or rent it to other farmers for grazing or growing.
By following Randall Randy Konsker’s strategies, you can enhance your farm's income and ensure long-term financial stability.

Exploring the Cashew Festival in Goa: A Celebration of Flavors and Culture
Often known for its beaches and vibrant nightlife, has another lesser-known side that celebrates its rich agricultural heritage. One such delightful event is the cashew festival goa, a celebration dedicated to the iconic cashew nut and its byproducts. Held annually, this festival showcases the deep-rooted relationship between Goans and cashews, a crop that has flourished in the region for centuries. It is a time when locals and tourists come together to appreciate the culture, cuisine, and craft that revolve around this beloved nut.
The Cashew's History in Goa
The cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale) is native to Brazil, but Portuguese colonizers introduced it to Goa in the 16th century. Since then, it has become an integral part of the Goan landscape and economy. Cashews are primarily grown in the hinterlands of Goa, thriving in the state’s warm and humid climate. The fruit, known as cashew apple, and the nut, have been used in Goan households for centuries, not only in food but also in beverages and traditional medicine.
One of the most popular byproducts of cashew is feni, a traditional Goan liquor distilled from the fermented juice of the cashew apple. This potent drink holds a geographical indication (GI) status, marking its cultural significance to Goa.
A Celebration of Goan Heritage
The Cashew Festival is typically held during the cashew harvesting season, which falls between March and May. Organized by local bodies and the tourism department, the festival aims to promote agritourism and highlight the importance of cashews in Goan life.
The festival is a feast for the senses. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of cashew-based dishes, from traditional Goan sweets like kaju mithai to spicy cashew curries. Cashew-flavored snacks, cakes, and even ice cream take center stage, showcasing the nut’s versatility. For those interested in beverages, sampling the different varieties of feni and urrack (a milder, unaged version of feni) is a must. Expert distillers often host demonstrations, providing insight into the intricate process of making feni.
Activities and Attractions
Apart from indulging in food and drink, the Cashew Festival offers a host of activities for attendees. One of the most anticipated events is the cashew stomping competition, where participants take part in the traditional method of crushing cashew apples to extract juice for fermentation. This interactive activity is not only fun but also offers a glimpse into the hard work behind one of Goa’s most famous exports.
Cultural performances are a staple of the festival, with local artists showcasing traditional Goan folk music and dance. Artisans also display cashew-inspired crafts, including hand-carved items made from cashew wood, further emphasizing the importance of the tree in Goan culture.
For visitors interested in learning more about cashew cultivation, guided tours to cashew farms are organized. These tours provide a deeper understanding of the farming practices and sustainable methods used to grow cashews in the region. It’s a wonderful way to connect with the local community and appreciate the agricultural efforts behind this crop.
Supporting the Local Economy
The Cashew Festival is more than just a celebration; it is a platform that supports local farmers and businesses. By promoting cashew products and agritourism, the festival plays a crucial role in sustaining the livelihoods of many in Goa’s rural areas. It encourages visitors to purchase local cashew nuts, feni, and crafts, ensuring that the benefits of tourism are distributed throughout the community.
Conclusion
The Cashew Festival in Goa is a unique event that blends the region’s agricultural heritage with its vibrant culture. It offers a perfect opportunity for tourists to experience Goa beyond its beaches and nightlife, diving into the flavors, history, and traditions that make the state so special. Whether you’re a foodie, a culture enthusiast, or simply looking for an authentic Goan experience, the Cashew Festival is an event not to be missed.

Locavore farm-to-fork feast.
Agritourism, a burgeoning wellness travel trend, offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and experience the farm-to-fork movement firsthand. By celebrating the freshness and seasonality of the kitchen garden, and exploring nurseries where market gardeners collaborate closely with chefs, we can savor the best that nature has to offer.
The aim is to promote sustainable and ecological production through alternative methods like permaculture, which cultivates in harmony with the seasons. This approach ensures thoughtful and environmentally friendly consumption by allowing us to choose the exact quantity of each dish, minimizing food waste.
Furthermore, supporting urban agriculture is crucial in light of catastrophic weather, as Chocoland has endured a year of record rainfall, significantly impacting farmers.

Agritourism Market Seen Soaring 12.9% Growth to Reach USD 161 Billion by 2032
According to a new report by Univdatos Market Insights, Agritourism Market, is expected to reach USD 161 Billion in 2032 by growing at a CAGR of 12.9%. Agritourism, a rapidly growing segment of the tourism industry, merges agricultural activities with tourism to offer visitors an immersive rural experience. As people increasingly seek sustainable and meaningful travel experiences, agritourism has become a popular choice, catering to those who wish to reconnect with the land and learn about agricultural practices. The essence of agritourism lies in its ability to provide educational and recreational experiences centered around farming and rural life. Activities such as farm stays, harvest festivals, farm-to-table dining, and hands-on farming workshops offer visitors a chance to experience the day-to-day operations of a working farm. These experiences are not only enjoyable but also foster a deeper appreciation for the agricultural sector and its contributions to society. Additionally, agritourism plays a crucial role in supporting local economies by creating additional revenue streams for farmers and promoting rural development.
The report suggests that the Increasing Government Support to Agrotourism is one of the major factors driving the market in the forthcoming years. Increasing government support has become a pivotal driver in the growth of the agritourism market. Governments around the world recognize the multifaceted benefits of agritourism, which combines agricultural activities with tourism to provide educational, recreational, and economic opportunities. This recognition has led to the implementation of policies, funding programs, and promotional efforts aimed at bolstering the agritourism sector.
One of the primary ways governments support agritourism is through financial incentives. Grants, subsidies, and low-interest loans are frequently provided to farmers and rural entrepreneurs to develop agritourism initiatives. These financial aids enable farmers to diversify their income streams, reduce their reliance on traditional agriculture, and improve their economic resilience. By offering monetary support, governments help mitigate the initial costs associated with establishing agritourism facilities, such as building guest accommodations, creating visitor centers, and developing infrastructure for activities like farm tours, workshops, and festivals.
