adhara is like the most trans allegory you can make a protagonist by accident

Arashi - The pure agony of watching her closest friend slowly start to lose his vibrance and become a shell of himself while she could do nothing but watch haunts her deeply even now after a year or two has passed. She is far more protective of her companion than ever before.

Adhara - The influx of Light left his mind almost stagnant, and his soul on fire with the need to consume. His morality prevented him from falling to the effects, but the struggle on the inside was so intense it nearly broke him. Even now, bright light rushing towards him makes him flinch though his troubles are long passed.

Character Introduction - Adhara Relenah

Hidden deep within the reaches of the Chocobo Forest, the Relenah tribe had always been small, remote. Life had oft been idyllic for the villagers. Peaceful, even. However, this peace was not meant to last: The Tarasque was relentless in his rage, leaving naught but a single child behind in his wake. The child wandered aimlessly, beaten and delirious, before fate led him to an encampment of scholars. It was there that Adhara found his family once more.

Background - When he was a young child, his village fell in a horrible fire leading to him wandering mindlessly in the woods until he ran straight into a researcher from Sharlayan. He was adopted in short order, gaining a family where he had none before. Due to this fortune, Adhara embodied the choice to always look out for his fellow man and hear what they have to say because to do otherwise would be to betray all he is. Upon entering Old Sharlayan, he quickly found himself under the tutelage of an elderly roegadyn archon who studied histories. Patient Tempest taught him all there was to learn of his discipline, and inspired him to stay late into the evenings studying and learning whatever he could about the world and its people. It was no surprise that he had started toward earning his Archon mark a short two years after graduating from the Studium, and set out for his journey to learn all he could of the beautiful world he found himself living in.

Likes - A trip to the library or museum is enough to make Adhara behave like a kid in a candy store, and a surefire way to boost his mood in most situations. He is similarly a fan of plays, as well as exhibitions on whatever specialties a new culture might possess. He is a foodie after leaving Sharlayan, although he lacks the skill to actually make the food he desires and often ends up burning whatever he seeks to make. He likes to watch snow fall, storms roll in, and nature exhibit its majesty.Although he is not amazing at it, Adhara finds peace in tailoring and making clothing for himself and his companions. He has a love of the stars, and often spends his evenings gazing out of a telescope and wondering what else lies beyond, just out of reach. Is a pretty awful singer, yet does so when he believes he is in private even if the rest of his companions can often hear him. Likes to discuss philosophy and what drives people to do what they do.

Fears - Adhara worries deeply that one day, if people are not careful, the world and cultures they have built will crumble under the weight of greed and hatred. He wonders what he and his companions will leave behind as a legacy, and worries over whether or not what they do now will be a hindrance to the people of tomorrow. He is also pretty darn scared of owls, bears, and really most large and “unreasonable” animals.

Setting out on his journey - The opportunity to learn about what lies in the hearts and minds of the multitude of souls inhabiting the star, see the beauty of its endless oceans, boundless skies, vibrant lives: All of this has and forever will be like a siren song to Adhara’s ears. His love of life itself is endless and fills his need to see more and more. Shortly after gaining approval, he set out on an adventure to see the world and learn of its cultures as his first study as a true archon. He set off toward Limsa Lominsa alongside Gliese, and parted ways to study arcanima while his sister set forth to learn about conjury.

Arashi - Silent and extra scary looking because the resting "im going to kill you slowly" face is out in full force. Tends to be forgetful, grouchy, and depending on how close she is with those around her, clingy.

Adhara - Morning person who makes breakfast for everyone with him. Knows everyone's preferences like the back of his hand, and willing to give quiet when needed. Tends to be cheery in the early hours.
