Paul’s Farewell and Teachings in Acts 20 Biblical Insights
Good day, everyone! Today, we’ll explore Acts 20, a chapter filled with travel, heartfelt farewells, and profound teachings from Paul. Let’s dive into this significant chapter and uncover its key lessons. Acts 20 begins with Paul’s journey through Macedonia and Greece, encouraging the believers and strengthening the churches (Acts 20:1-2). He spends three months in Greece, but due to a plot against him by some Jews, he changes his travel plans and heads back through Macedonia (Acts 20:3). One notable event occurs in Troas, where Paul is teaching late into the night. A young man named Eutychus, sitting in a window, falls asleep and plummets three stories to his death. Paul rushes down, embraces him, and miraculously revives him, demonstrating the power of God working through Paul (Acts 20:7-12). Paul then travels to Miletus, where he summons the elders of the Ephesian church. In a deeply emotional farewell speech, he reflects on his ministry among them, characterized by humility, tears, and trials (Acts 20:17-19). He emphasizes his unwavering commitment to preaching the gospel, declaring, "I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God" (Acts 20:27). Paul warns the elders to be vigilant, as false teachers will arise and distort the truth to draw away disciples. He charges them to shepherd the church, which God purchased with His own blood (Acts 20:28-31). This exhortation underscores the importance of faithful leadership and protecting the integrity of the gospel. In his closing remarks, Paul commends the elders to God and the word of His grace, which can build them up and give them an inheritance among those sanctified (Acts 20:32). He also highlights his own example of selflessness and hard work, reminding them of Jesus’ words: "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). The chapter concludes with a touching farewell. Paul kneels and prays with the elders, and they all weep as they embrace him, grieving because they will not see his fa

As I was painting this custom watercolour I faced many challenges. This couldn't have been a more perfect verse for me. I prayed for an answer on how to move forward and he delivered! 🙌💖 what an awesome God we have! I listened to Jericho by Ben Cantelon when I was painting because he always breaks down those walls! Acts 20:24 New International Version (NIV) 24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Comment AMEN 🙏 if you agree he breaks down the walls we crash into👇 . . . . . @bencantelon #bencantelon #jericho #godsgal #thewallsofjericho #acts20 #custompainted #dailybiblequotes https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw4FfWphQQi/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10f15kv1x3bcv

“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭20:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Good morning children of God! 🌞 Have a beautiful & blessed day. Trust God’s promise regardless of what may seem to be coming against you. There is so much chaos yet so many things to be grateful for at the same time. Stay focused on the gifts of life and things will prosper. Remember we were all called on a assignment and it’s the work of the adversary to kill, steal & destroy your existence to see that assignment incomplete. Push yourself to the max for the glory of God will prevail. 🙌🏾 This too shall pass! #amen ~ Nicole B. #goodmorning #childrenofgod #acts #bookofacts #nicoleb @nicole_bmarie #transformation #mindbodysoul #itsyourturn @trans_4_mations #transformed #mindbodyspirit @project.action.intodreams #progressdaily @nicole_bmariefinancial #mindset #godsword #godsgift @impaktstudio #motivation #livingmybestlife #nicolebmarie #livingword #breathingwords #testimony #notdefeated #acts20:24 #strongerthanever #godsstrength #walkinginmypurpose (at Chicago, Illinois) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3_9JETHSll/?igshid=wvyql0j5o3bt

✨Ester asked why people are sad. "That’s simple," says the old man. "They are the prisoners of their personal history. Everyone believes that the main aim in life is to follow a plan. They never ask if that plan is theirs or if it was created by another person. They accumulate experiences, memories, things, other people's ideas, and it is more than they can possibly cope with. And that is why they forget their dreams. Chaplain Message
Ephesians 2 Verse 8 to 10: “For it is by Grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one can boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”.
The story nis told; While a woman was waiting to pay for her groceries, she was the recipient of an act of kindness, when the customer in front of her turned around and gave her a gift card to help pay for groceries. Short on sleep she burst into tears because of the kindness shown to her, then she started laughing at herself crying. This unexpected kindness touched her heart and gave her new hope during a period of stress and exhaustion in her life.
Of course, we don’t have to give material things to share Gods’ grace; we can show his love through our actions.
We can take time out of our day to listen to someone. We could show interest to someone who is serving us, by asking how they are.
We could stop and help someone in need.
As we give to others, we will receive joy in return. Acts20 verse 35;”It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
God instructs us to be kind to one another. We are all His creation; made in His likeness, to fellowship with each other, and have a relationship with Him.
Heavenly Father thank you for the gift of life, and the joy we find in healthy relationships through family and friends. Help us to view everyone as you do. with love and understanding. May we always be aware of those around us whose lives we could touch. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
God Bless
Chaplain Ron
