Prioritizing God’s Call Over Self
The Bible reveals that some things are more important than life itself. For the apostle Paul, his call to ministry was the most important thing to him. When speaking to the Elders at Ephesus, Paul said, “I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of…

I Do Not Account My Life Of Any Value (Acts 20:24)
Acts 20:24 24. But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

LUKE/ACTS S.O.A.P. ~ ACTS 20
Wednesday, 11/20/14
SCRIPTURE:
But nothing, not even my life, is more important than my completing my mission.  This is nothing other than the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify about the good news of God’s grace. ~ Acts of the Apostles 20:24
OBSERVATION:
His mission is not personal or selfish or willful...
His mission is God-given...
...Jesus-given...
...a ministry...
...to testify about the good news of God's grace...
...that - and nothing else...
APPLICATION:
Testify about the good news of God's grace...
Hold back nothing (verse 20)
Proclaim the entire plan of God (verse 27)
PRAYER:
Father of grace and mercy - I seek Your forgiveness for holding back, for not testifying and proclaiming Your plan of salvation, for not living in Your will such that it becomes my only mission, my only focus - Thank You for Your Holy Spirit's presence and reminders to stand in His power when distracted or tempted - May what I do today bring You glory - In Jesus's Name...
Holding nothing back...

I say this gently and with love because I adore Shaytham content whenever it crosses my dash and I never want it to stop, but sometimes I see it tagged as #oldman something or other and I feel twinges of despair (not a vague btw, I genuinely don't pay attention to where it came from I just know I've glimpsed it more than twice)
Like Shay is 27 and Haytham is 33 😭 please I'm gonna be 27 in 3 months don't make me feel old I'm gonna throw up pleasseeee friends

So That I may Finish the Race
But I am making my life of no account as to value to myself so-as to finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus— to solemnly-testify to the good-news about the grace of God. — Acts 20:24 | Disciples’ Literal New Testament (DLNT) Disciples' Literal New Testament: Serving Modern Disciples by More Fully Reflecting the Writing Style of the Ancient Disciples, Copyright © 2011 Michael J.
