@vspin how do you feel about bg3 winning best multiplayer? 🤣😅

I mean... compared to other multiplayers I guess, sure. I am playing it after all when normally I would never pick up multiplayer. But I think that speaks more about how this game is just generally very good so I want to experience every aspect of it.

Essentially bg3 wins by virtue of not having a traditional multiplayer experience. It's a single player story with a friend (and you kinda can't/shouldn't play it with more than 1 friend because there are only 4 characters we can use so we would miss out on even more companion stuff) But people hate games which are first and foremost multiplayer so this won. LMAO That's my thinking... if I'm honest that's why I also voted for bg3. lol Fuck multiplayer... this is single player in the multiplayer category. Yeah I'll vote for that.

But it surprises me it won. I don't know about the other nominees but considering all the bugs we are experiencing and how the game can't decide how companions should behave with two Tavs around the "best" title is still a bit funny to me. There is LOTS of room for improvement.

To those who haven't tried bg3 multiplayer... read below what it's like.

Certain conversations with companions repeat for both of us but only the first person gains approval. You would think what can and can't repeat and when characters refuse to talk to the other player character is based on story logic. But nope. I saved Shadowheart in the prologue but she was still willing to say her thanks to @vspin instead and give approval to her. So the game acts like our 2 characters are the same. (btw paladins can also lose their oaths because of what the other player character did) As if an action taken by 1 character was taken by both. But at the same time both characters still don't get approval. But then I had the bite scene with Astarion and later he was only willing to discuss that with my character. They have "do you mind? I am not here for chit chat" and other generic lines when you click on them and they are not willing to have a conversation with you, only the other person. At times only 1 player has high enough approval with a companion to trigger a scene but if the other person clicks on them, the scene will still play for that person. Other times it won't play. It's just all a big chaos.
