just waking up on the Red Force, days out to sea and days still until you reach the next island, rocked gently by the water and yet still held warm and safe, tucked into Shanks' chest. The bed is soft and covered in a comical amount of pillows and silks and big soft blankets, some of which are wrapped around you, some of which always end up kicked onto the floor. There's a slight breeze blowing in through the open window, rustling the mismatched curtains where they hang loosely across a rope, letting just the barest trickle of morning sunlight in.

you're barely awake, he's still firmly asleep, but he still kisses your forehead when you stir against him, an instinctive brushing of slightly chapped lips chasing the warmth of your skin even as the comfort lulls him deeper into sleep.
