“Liv, I’m not–”

“You better not be. Don’t forget, I know where you sleep.”

He smiled a little, knowing I was right. I guess he decided to have some weird lame-ass comeback ‘cause he said, “Clothes get a little darker there, Henderson?”

When he looked over my head, I realized why he said that. Tommy H. and Carol.

“Yeah, well, I’d rather dress in dark clothing than dress like the ultimate geek,” I said. Turning to face Tommy H and Carol, I really didn’t want to waste my breath on them, so I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

“That’s right,” Carol said. “Walk away.”

Turning to walk backwards, I said, “Hey, Carol. Why don’t you stop being a bitch? Maybe then you wouldn’t have to beg for friendships from people that dress like nerds.” I walked straight to class, not thinking about them for the rest of the morning.

Hi so im up to chapter 62 in atb from manga websites online and ive been wondering where i can read the next? Im having trouble finding chapter 63 and beyond, thank you ..

so yourwelcomescans, as per their TOS, will drop a manga once its picked up for english localization, which ATB was. The volumes are coming out every two months, so far 3 volumes have been released, which is FAAAR behind where the fan translation dropped, so you if you want the english ATB you will have to wait

The other options would be to access the Japanese raws, which there are several ways.

-ebook sites such as ebookjapan or through any other ebook site that holds international/manga titles. costs money (i buy the volumes through ebookjapan but its a huge hassle making an account. i believe bookwalker is another ebook site that actually carries atb but im not sure)

-Heros Site. heros is the publisher for atom the beginning and its where you can buy the chapters individually for points (you buy the points) HOWEVER Heros is also where we are getting each new chapter of ATB, every new update is free for a whole month!!! right now chapter 104 is up for free. And once in a blue moon, they unlock all the chapters to read for free, for a limited time. Heros Site HERE

-the only other way i can think of getting atb is finding a site that uploaded the scans and you download them for free, but idk which those are, i know they exist tho.

EXTRA: tbh im always down for discussing ATB in little tidbits, as I have all the volumes that have yet to be translated, so I do have access to chapters 63 onward (aside from part 2, since no volume from part has been released yet)

There’s an odd quirk of publications of mid-to-late Romantic orchestral music where —regardless of how it was intended to be orchestrated—the trombone parts would be printed as Alto, Tenor, and Bass (which wasn’t uncommon but the trombone section of the symphony orchestra wasn’t yet entirely standardized, with the French custom, for example, being a section of three tenor trombones) which leads to confusion on whether or not the intended performance includes three different sorts of trombone —with the custom since not too long into the 20th century being 2 tenor and 1 bass trombone(s) unless we’re fairly confident that it was orchestrated for an ATB section and not just published with that assumption.

Playing one of those probably-1st-tenor-trombone parts marked as alto or written in alto clef on an alto trombone is a great exercise (especially for the majority of people who have or are borrowing an alto trombone without a B-flat extension) if for no other reason than it requiring you to adapt to what is probably non-idiomatic writing, but there’s also the chance that you sightread or practice something that lays shockingly well on alto. My personal example of this is from my senior year of high school when my Youth Orchestra director asked if I could play the first trombone part on the finale of Tchaikovsky 4 with the Youth Symphony (the Intermediate Orchestra). He didn’t object to me playing it on alto trombone so I did for the objectively daft reason of only wanting to bring one instrument to that concert since Youth Philharmonic (the advanced orchestra) was playing Beethoven 9 and that is one of those unambiguously for alto trombone pieces. What I found in practicing the Tchaik is that the printed as alto 1st trombone part laid shockingly well on alto trombone: the unison lines were a little awkward but felt pretty intuitive and the upper harmonies that hung out in the upper prime or lower high register of a tenor trombone fit so snuggly in the alto’s prime register.

I'm a Wenclair truther(why are they so gayly written for each other) but you've also turned me into a Wenovan truther (because they're kinda... perfect?) so now my days consist of:

•waking up

•eating 1294838 meals (repeat as desired)

•thinking about Wenclair/Wenovan

• switching between the two every time I go, "Oh! Wenovan/Wenclair are different in that way!"

I'm def not a Wenclair Truther, but you are quite adorable. I don't know how one makes the jump from Wenclair to Wenovan (and back), but I'm glad someone else sees what I see. Some day soon, after 8 is published (or maybe before, who knows) I intend to make a post/video re: the Wenovan moments from the show. I think one of my favorites is when she completely disses Tyler (and her snood...sorry Wenclairs 😭) after he gave her that cappuccino and lied about the Gates Mansion, popping the Hell up the very second she sees the sheriff walking up to the counter.

That moment couldn't be any clearer. She said quite plainly, "I solved the old case you were whining about all of these years and proved you wrong about my father, come solve the current murders with me." There's no other person she willingly pro-actively interacts with on the show with the intentions of doing something 'great'.

I have this really 🔥 WIP that takes place on Donovan's birthday, July 22, 2023 (this is unedited, saved as it was written in the summer):

This will probably be placed after After the Burn/"Season 2" since I'm starting to think that AtB will only cover January 2023 to...maybe April 2023? I have to think in terms of a season's structure, and in-between the end of 8 and the beginning of AtB, I'm thinking that I might give little shorts/insights that aren't part of any chapters but are fun or informative (kind of like the deleted scenes). I have a really funny one that takes place during Halloween 2023, too...it involves Enid and tight 'sexy' costumes. Poor Donovan LOL

After the Burn (this has always been the sequel's working title, but I'm thinking of a new title, maybe) will feature the same characters from the first season (even the dead will appear, in flashbacks). There might be some more introductory stuff, like with the Breedings (we haven't seen Samuel active in the fic yet, and my GOD he is a nasty piece of work...he might be in the opening scene, I'm not sure yet). We haven't seen the last of Laurel Gates, either. My main concern is how much I can write and keep Wenovan's story behind the main one, like in S1, or if that's even doable. As it stands: Morticia is going to have a bigger role, as will Pugsley and his support dog. Xavier's father Vincent Thorpe will also get a good chunk of my attention, since Chancellor also is present for a good lot of the story (and is, actually, key to The Story of why Wednesday even lives to breathe another day). Vincent and Chancellor have the kind of hate for each other that makes you wonder if Vincent is just suppressing his desires. But I assure you, it's hate. The Goodmen storyline will likely be the main storyline, along with more Hyde fun (among other weird 'creature' things, like giving Mishizu Herz a bigger role because she's good enough to be a Nightshade...whether she participates in their sex parties is something to think about, because boy would it be weird if she was fucking someone and her face morphed into the dude's mom or something 🤣), but MorningSong cult will also be causing a little bit of trouble (and are tied to past controversies with norminal society's rules/statutes about outcasts). There is some cool shit that'll be happening with the Nightshades (young and old), we'll learn about Morticia's past and how she got together with Gomez, we'll learn about Goody Isabel Addams (I gave her a real name) and her husband. I just have to get past 8, and within 8 I'm planting some seeds to get what I mentioned rolling.

I think about Wenovan a lot too. Since I have the show on loop, I can't escape them (LOL, I just looked up to my TV and it's the scene where she dumps the evidence she collected on his desk 🫠🥰). But, I've been seduced by Cairo and Jon from Miller's Girl. Like I mentioned in one of my reblogs w the Freeman Fanatic (💖✨), they're the softer version of Wenovan, and Cairo scares me more than Wednesday. Probably because she's more real and her mental issues haven't at all been addressed (unlike with Wednesday, who goes to a therapist...OOOOOH it would've been so funny if Buscemi was her new therapist). I want to see just how far a 'regular normie' would go to keep her man, because we know that Afterburn Wednesday would disappear anyone who tried to flirt up Donovan and do it in a memorable way.

But anyway, yes. Wenovan all day, every day. And I apologize for the long wait for 8. I'm still mentally drained from RL b.s. I have the headers for 8.1 and 8.2 still in my tired brain (I know what I want them to look like, I just need to sit my tired ass down in front of the laptop...maybe I'll do that tonight or something). I have 8 in their bits and pieces and am still writing, but the bulk of 8.2 has been around since last year (almost exactly a year ago!), when I wrote the rest of the outline. Eugene gets lines! 🤣 I think I did him justice.

Daddy needs sleep or something, bc I haven't been feeling well. I need to get back on a Night Owl schedule, since I write best at night. I probably should re-read through Afterburn just to remind myself of which seeds I've already planted and what I need to incorporate or get rid of from my WIPs. I haven't done that in a little while. I'm glad that you probably do, and thank you for the kindness. I don't get any of the sort IRL since I (necessarily, for health reasons) isolate. It's just me and the dogs. 🫠💕🔥✨

My chuckle turned into a laugh as Will started pedaling faster towards mine and Dustin’s house. Unintentionally, Dustin yelled, “I’m gonna kill you!”

“I’ll take your X-Men 134!” Will yelled, passing by our mailbox.

Dustin stopped, putting his feet flat on the ground. “Son of a bitch.”

I stopped beside Dustin, laughing, as I heard our mom yell out, “Livvie! Phone call!”

Opinion About One Piece Odyssey Demo

Some fans of the manga/anime One Piece series will have a new game called One Piece Odyssey. Unlike the previous games, this game actually features turn-based RPG gameplay. Although different from the previous One Piece games which tended to focus on action beat 'em ups, this new game promises a new adventure for the Straw Hat crew on a mysterious island.

Approaching the launch of the game One Piece Odyssey on January 13, 2023 on the basis of PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, a demonstration was also prepared by developer ILCA and publisher/publisher Bandai Namco Show. The demo game introduces a few gameplay features that will be coming when the game launches.

For those of you who are curious about these games, this time we will provide a discussion or review of the One Piece Odyssey Demonstration. We thank Bandai Namco for giving us the opportunity to try the One Piece Odyssey demonstration game. I will make this review based on personal experience trying the demo games which look promising for RPG lovers plus One Piece fans.

Well, let's start with the review of the One Piece Odyssey Demonstration!

Story

One Piece Odyssey tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his friends discover a mysterious island called Waford. As they approached the island, a natural event occurred which forced the Straw Hats to face an unusually large storm that left them stranded on Waford Island. They are also entangled there and must find steps and reveal the mystical on the island.

After doing their exploits, it turns out that the island they visited has a lot of mystique that even makes the government faction worried about the presence of the Straw Hat crew in Waford. A One Piece-style exploration based on the Original Narrative of Eiichiro Oda

The premise of the story in this game feels familiar to One Piece fans where the Straw Hat crew adventures in new places that have lots of new stories and characters that they meet. It seems that the exploration directly or indirectly made the Government faction concerned with the impact of the Straw Hat crew's involvement there.

All the narrative premises that I explained just now are indeed the uniqueness of One Piece. What's more, this One Piece Odyssey game as an original narrative created by Eiichiro Oda as a mangaka who made iconic manga in the world. So these games will give the impression of a similar exploratory narrative as if you were following the One Piece manga/anime narrative in general.

Remember the games I play are still in the form of demonstrations, there is a lot of mystique on Waford Island that makes anyone who plays it curious. This will make gamers who play even more curious about the full game version when it launches later.

Gameplay

One Piece Odyssey features turn-based RPG gameplay with an ATB (Active Time Battle) mechanism. This game will also present various types of typical RPG-style gameplay features in general. To make it even more interesting, One Piece Odyssey has a lot of uniqueness added to the strength possessed by Luffy and some of his friends.

The Straw Hat Crew Exploits the Powers

In the exploitation mode, players can explore various locations to find various objects that can be inspected, earn points and face opponents. This game does not introduce a random encounter mechanism, but players can face opponents who are in place and enter the battle mode.

In a number of locations, you will find an object to be able to cross the base using Luffy's power. You find an iron door that can be cut by Zorro. By using that kind of ability you can find paths that are easy to miss if you don't check it with the details of the path you are following.

Full Fan Service Battle Mechanism For One Piece Fans

In battle, players can bring 4 active characters to compete against their opponents. The battle area consists of several zones, so players can change their status to be able to attack close or can attack far from their initial status.

In the game demonstration, the battle mechanism consists of 4 types, namely Attack, Abilities, Points and Tactics. Each character that you use has its own character type according to the One Piece manga/anime. For example, Luffy can carry out close and long range attacks with abilities such as the Gum-Gum Pistol which can carry out long-range attacks on 1 opponent's target, Gum-Gum Gatling with close attacks but can hit multiple opponents and Gear 2 which can give Buff.

In the beginning of the battle, the opponent can do various types of situations that can be completed by the player. For example, you have to kill your opponent in 1 Turn or save your character before dying. If you succeed in doing so, you will get additional effects or bonuses when you are finished fighting, one of which is to increase the Exp you get more and more.

One Piece Odyssey's graphics look better than the first few games. The personality mode is also made in such a way according to the One Piece manga/anime version. Even if I look at it well, the characters in these games look more gesturing in character gestures. What's more when they do some of their attack styles when competing against opponents.

Apart from the character mode, the performance of the opponents you meet on Waford Island looks very good. In fact, you can even feel the monster design is very characteristic of the One Piece manga/anime. That's because Eiichiro Oda helped when designing new characters or monsters in this game.

The graphical appearance for the environment from Waford Island looks very good. Some of the communities and ecosystems that are there can be eye-catching and livelier than some of the previous games.

Apart from some of the positive impressions that I explained just now, there are definitely many things that I don't like and are a little disturbing in this Demonstration game. One of them is the Exp mechanism when after facing an opponent it is felt too much so that the character levels up very easily, even at the beginning of the battle guide. Not to mention the special circumstances that can give bonus Exp in battle making it easier for characters to quickly level up.

For opponents that are encountered it is still called too easy, even for characters like Luffy, Sanji and Zorro can do onepunch only from mediocre attacks even when their abilities have disappeared. Because maybe the One Piece Odyssey Demonstration doesn't have a level of difficulty, that's why this game feels too easy because it means it only shows a few gameplay features that will be presented when the games launch on January 13, 2023.

Aside from the problems with the Exp mechanism and the opponents being too easy, this demonstration game managed to show a few advantages that would later come from the full version. Hopefully the problem that I explained just now can be updated by the developer.
