It's so genius that Inside Out 2 uses Anxiety as an antagonising character that opposes Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger without making her an antagonist, or villain. She is trying to protect Riley just like they are, but she is so caught up in her own ways that she doesn't see the bigger picture. And that's exactly what anxiety feels like.
When she realises this, it causes a panic attack (which is also beautifully depicted) and she spirals.
Anxiety is a genius character, and it is so important to me that the other emotions don't attempt to push her out of Headquarters or out of Riley's life but instead find ways of coping with her.
Because Anxiety shouldn't control your life, but she will still be in your life. And it is possible to live with anxiety.

finished today a new chapter of Punishing Gray Raven, renaissance du fantastique. This chapter is kinda big, really big, but i liked. I took so long to finish it because i was a bit lazy, and i was afraid to be a really long chapter and a boring read too. I am glad it wasn't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ayla and her team was cool, i really liked them as characters and Ayla was the best character of the chapter, she is really cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, the battles were amazing, specially the last boss of the chapter, Alisa design is amazing and her boss fight was beautiful
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do kinda feel that this chapter is a bit too long, everytime the high ranks of babylonia shows up to talk i wanted to skip the story, i know they are important, but they are also really, really boring to read, i wanted to keep reading the point of view of Ayla and her team.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the end of the day i kinda forgive the boring parts of the story because it was really good everything else, it was beautiful. I did feel it was a bigger chapter than the rest, but is not painfully boring like Cinder Burns, that one almost made me drop this game and don't play it anymore, Renaissance du Fantastique was great, really great.

Bumlets thoughts! The boy was spinning today and my friend told me I should share my thoughts so here we go :) So, Bumlets, one of the background newsies of the 92 movies that was cast for his dancing talent (did you know Dominic Lucero was a background dancer for Michael Jackson, Paul Abdual and Madonna?) and doesn't get to say much, but he for sure has fabulous hair.
He is also named after an actual resident in the Duane Street Lodging house around the time of the strike (there is an entire article I once found on Tumblr and when I find it again I'll try to reblog it) and there it is mentioned he kind of speaks for the other newsies there and is called "The King of the Bums" which is very cool to me I do remember that article being a bit before 1899 so I had some thoughts... What if before Jack came along and became leader not just inside the lodging house but outside to the other boroughs, Bumlets was the one to speak for the matters of the newsies in the lodge, specifically for Kloppman. In turn Kloppman trusts him with locking up the lodge sometimes (I saw that in the fic: "Inside the Lodging House: Hard Truths and Annoying sounds" today and loved it) and if there is a problem with one of the boys he asks if he could talk to him first (as most don't react well to adults as it is). At some point Francis Sullivan, newly named Jack Kelly comes along and is more outwardly a leader, kind of more agressively a leader where Bumlets was usually quiet, polite and not particularly ambitious, he just wanted to help if he could and if someone else wants to be the actual leader he is fine with that too.
Another thing is he has leather suspenders (which you can see in Seize the Day reprise as he is right in the front) which for me means he is putting thought into his appearance and also into buying durable things (here we have a saying roughly translating to "better buy something good than buy twice", so saying you should rather buy expensive long-living things sometimes) even if he's not wearing the fanciest clothes apart from it they still seem well maintained and that just is something you notice. The buyers probably do that too.
Can't forget his boyfriends either (that here is just who I think he would be cute with) which would be Skittery and Swifty <3 He and Skittery stickfight in Carrying the Banner (which looks so fun), then they stand next to each other at the Rally and for Swifty in the scene where Snyder is looking for Jack in the lodge they are always beside each other and there are probably more scenes but those are just the ones coming to mind and me and my friend have been going feral over them. But I think that's better for another post eventually, just wanted to add it!
Another fun fact: Dominic Lucero was in fact the same age as Max Casella and therefore also 25 in 1992. Live with that knowledge folks.
Thanks for reading this!

IntiMarch 2024 Day 1 - 'till not even Death do us part
After seeing a prompt list of Intimacy Starters on Twitter, I decided to make a whole month out of it, yet again. I will always put the prompt line in the notes and the stories don't connect to each other unless it's stated that they do.
The prompt for this one was "Come here"
Something is wrong with Satoru. Ever since they lost Riko, something is definitely wrong with Satoru and Suguru doubts it’s the death of the girl or even the fact that Toji nearly killed both of them.
Something else is going on with Satoru, something deeper, and in all honesty, it’s starting to freak Suguru out. Satoru is frantically trying to perfect his techniques, which is understandable, given everything that happened to them, but something about him is off in a way Suguru can’t quite put his finger on.
Satoru’s movements used to be graceful and lithe but now they are erratic, jerking where before they were smooth, as if Satoru doesn’t quite remember how to move his body. It’s evident in their sparring sessions as well; Suguru used to win seven out of ten, but now he easily wins ten out of ten and doesn’t even break a sweat doing so.
Another thing is the spaciness. Suguru sometimes has to call out for Satoru several times, wave his hand in front of his face or outright block his vision to get his attention and even when those blue eyes do finally snap to him, there’s always a moment when Satoru looks straight through him.
The very first time Suguru had noticed that something is off with Satoru was in the room with the Star members, where Satoru had asked him if they should simply kill them all.
Suguru had understood that urge, better than Satoru might think, even though he did tell him not to do it, but what he didn’t understand was the muttered “Maybe I should give them something in return, a little peace offering”.
When Suguru asked about that strange utterance Satoru had simply stared at him until Suguru changed the subject but even though it went ignored it was never forgotten.
Something is off with Satoru and it’s starting to freak Suguru out.
“Hey, Satoru?” Suguru asks, once he finds Satoru out in the courtyard under a tree, staring into nothing. It’s becoming something of a familiar sight, but Satoru always seems so far away in these moments that there is a split second of fear running down Suguru’s back, because what if he can’t get Satoru to come back to him?
“Satoru?” Suguru carefully asks again, now seated next to Satoru and he bumps their shoulders together. “Where do you always go?” Suguru mutters, following Satoru’s gaze but not seeing anything but their boring courtyard.
“You think they like flowers?” Satoru suddenly asks, his eyes still seeing right through everything. “There are so many of them, they have to like flowers.”
There is not a single flower in sight and unease curls around Suguru’s heart.
“Who likes flowers?” he asks, trying to keep the worry out of his voice but it doesn’t matter. Satoru doesn’t even react to him.
“Satoru, please,” Suguru whispers and reaches out for Satoru’s hand, threading their fingers together. “Come back.” He squeezes Satoru’s hand and for once, it seems to be enough.
Satoru turns his head towards Suguru and when he blinks he even seems to really see Suguru.
“Oh, hey, Suguru,” Satoru greets him before he seems to notice that they are holding hands. “What are we doing?” he asks, confusion clear on his face and Suguru is quick to untangle their hands.
“You didn’t react to me when I called out for you,” Suguru explains, willing himself to not go bright red in the face, and Satoru frowns at him.
“I always hear when you call for me, though,” Satoru gives back and it’s ridiculous enough that Suguru laughs straight in his face.
“You never hear me anymore, Satoru,” Suguru tells him when Satoru pouts at him and for a moment, for a split second, Suguru thinks that maybe they can have a normal conversation for once.
But then Satoru’s eyes glaze over, his gaze returning to the courtyard once more and Suguru knows he lost him again.
“They sure do like flowers,” Satoru mutters, narrowing his eyes as if he’s looking at something really closely. “Hey, Suguru, camellias are your favourite, aren’t they?” he then asks and Suguru is almost surprised to hear that Satoru still remembers that he’s there.
“They are,” he agrees, following Satoru’s gaze, even though he knows he won’t see any flowers.
“Maybe they don’t like flowers,” Satoru mutters. “Maybe this is a warning. Maybe they are threatening you.”
“Satoru, no one is threatening me,” Suguru gently reminds him, because they are very alone in the courtyard and there are definitely no flowers around.
“They might be, though, who knows. Won’t let them, so don’t worry about it.”
“I’m not worried about them,” Suguru gives back, and it’s true.
Suguru is not worried about this ‘them’ Satoru keeps talking about but he is very worried about Satoru.
“Good, good, you shouldn’t be,” Satoru distractedly mutters and Suguru wonders what he has to do to get his attention back to him.
“Want to watch a movie in my room?” Suguru asks, deciding that his report for Yaga can wait a bit.
He has more important things to deal with right now.
“A movie, sure,” Satoru gives back, his eyes still far away, but he does get up.
Suguru pointedly doesn’t think too hard about the fact that his limbs are jerking almost uncontrollably; he looks more like a doll cut off its strings and still trying to walk than a real human being and Suguru feels like crying.
He doesn’t know what’s wrong with Satoru and he doesn’t know how to fix it, either.
~ * ~ * ~
Suguru remembers that there’s a wall behind him a moment before he makes impact with it. He gets the breath knocked out of him and when the back of his head slams against the stone, everything goes dark for a moment.
Or maybe for longer than a moment because when he opens his eyes, he’s no longer in the abandoned building he was fighting the curse in but in a meadow of flowers.
All camellia, Suguru realises with a note of hysteria and maybe Satoru wasn’t going insane these past few weeks.
“Hello, Suguru,” a pleasant voice calls out for him and Suguru wheels around on his heels, hands ready as if he has to fight, and for all that he knows, he might have to.
He did not expect to come face to face with Death and instantly, all the fight leaves him. What use is there, if Death themselves is here for him?
“I died then. I’m dead,” Suguru states, feeling numb with that knowledge but Death shakes their head.
Or, well, the hood. It’s not as if Suguru can make out an actual face under there.
“You’re not. Your Satoru won’t let me,” Death explains and even takes a step back as if they are making a point. “I’m here to talk.”
“You’re here to–talk. With me. Death wants to talk to me,” Suguru mutters and then promptly sits down, because what the hell.
Death seems to take that as an invitation, because they sit down as well, though a good way away from Suguru.
“I do. Do you mind?”
“Do I get a choice?” Suguru asks and pointedly looks around. They are definitely no longer in the realm of humans, so it’s clearly not on Suguru to decide.
“You do. Of course you do. The impact didn’t kill you; it just knocked you out. It’s a state similar enough to death that I can slip in, for a little while. You’ll leave here unharmed and before you worry, barely a few seconds will have passed when you wake up.”
“Oh, that’s reassuring,” Suguru bitingly says, because nothing about this entire situation is reassuring at all.
“I know this must be unsettling but I need you to pass a message to your Satoru,” Death tells him and Suguru frowns.
Death said it like that once before, ‘your Satoru’, as if Suguru has any claim to him.
“He’s not mine,” he forces himself to bite out, desperate to clear that up, even though he’s not sure one should argue with Death.
“Isn’t he?” Death asks, the hood tilting curiously to the side. “You seemed very much like his when he fought me for your life. So I assumed.”
That knocks Suguru’s breath out of his chest.
“When he what?” he squeaks out, because surely, surely Satoru wouldn’t be stupid enough to fight Death.
But then again–it’s Satoru. Suguru can kind of see it. If anyone would be stupid enough to fight Death and come out alive at the end, it would be Satoru.
“So he didn’t tell you about that, curious,” Death muses. “You were supposed to die together with Riko Amanai.”
Suguru’s fingers tingle and a cold shudder runs down his back. He was supposed to die. He’s not supposed to be alive anymore and every breath he takes is just borrowed time.
He’s not quite sure what to do with that knowledge.
“You said you’re not here to take me,” he finally whispers out, because he needs to reassure himself that Death is not going to cut him down with their scythe any moment now.
“I’m not. I’m no longer allowed to touch you. Your Six Eyes keeps a close watch on you, I would guess he’s starting to sense that something is wrong around this time now.”
“What do you mean, you’re no longer allowed to touch me?”
Suguru feels faint. This is all slightly overwhelming and his head spins. He’s glad he sat down at the very start of all of this.
“The Six Eyes forbid it. Geto Suguru is not to be touched, not to be taken. He was very adamant about it. Convincing, too.”
“You’re Death. How convincing could he have been?”
“Very. Even Death can die. Even I can be killed.”
“You’re Death,” Suguru stresses again. “And for all that he’s powerful, he’s still just a teenager.”
“A stubborn one, at that. And he put his stubbornness into keeping you alive. Not even Death can cut through infinity, you know.”
“But–there were other Six Eyes users before him. You must have experience.”
“Are you arguing with me to get yourself killed?” Death asks mildly and Suguru blanches.
“No! No, I just–I don’t understand.”
Death hums thoughtfully before they speak again. “The last Six Eyes user didn’t put up much of a fight. But then again, he died with his one and only, so maybe that changes things. Your Six Eyes acted up when he realised I was only there to take you and the girl.”
“So Satoru was always meant to survive?” Suguru asks, and he decides not to look too closely into why that makes him feel so relieved.
“His time has not yet come.”
“But mine is technically over.”
“As long as your Six Eyes lives, your time hasn’t come either. He’s not going to let that happen.” Death turns their head, and Suguru gets the impression that they are looking at something far away. “And he noticed that something is going on with you. We must hurry.”
There’s a slight tremble to their voice and Suguru feels dizzy when he realises it’s because Death is afraid of Satoru.
“You said you needed me to pass on a message?”
“Yes. You must have noticed that something is off with your Satoru.”
Flashes of vacant eyes, of jerky movements go off in Suguru’s brain and he simply nods. If those happen because Satoru had a run-in with Death, Suguru guesses he can count himself lucky that Satoru is not more affected than he is.
“It’s because he keeps looking. The sight behind the veil is not made for human eyes to behold; not even for his. If he doesn’t stop looking, things will get worse.”
“Are you threatening him?” Suguru blurts out and he gets the distinct impression that Death gives him an unamused stare.
“No. I am not. But he needs to stop looking.”
“Still sounds like a threat to me,” Suguru stubbornly gives back and he reaches for his curses, checks if he can still access them.
Death must notice that because they shake their head with a weary sigh.
“Dear Gods above and below, you truly deserve each other,” they mutter. “Listen here, Curse Eater. If he keeps looking like he does, he will pass through the veil. You noticed changes; those will get worse. He won’t be dead, but he’ll no longer be alive, either. You need to tell him to stop, and if he can’t, give him at least something to ground him with.”
“Why do you care?” Suguru can’t help but to ask.
It makes no sense. If what they said is true, then Satoru fought Death to keep Suguru, and won too. If Satoru passes through this–veil, then Death could breathe freely and come claim Suguru as well.
“This is the place where I meet those I have to reap. I do not wish to have your Six Eyes as constant company.”
They sound put-out, as if Satoru’s constant presence is a terribly dreadful prospect for them and it probably is, for anyone but Suguru. It almost makes Suguru laugh.
“The fields with flowers, he keeps mentioning–”
“In the veil,” Death confirms. “Those are my fields.”
“And the camellias?” Suguru asks next because he remembers Satoru’s suspicion.
“An unlucky coincidence. They don’t mean anything,” Death reassures him and Suguru breathes a little easier.
“Fine. I’ll talk to him. I’ll try and get him to stop.”
“Don’t just try,” Death instructs him as they get up.” Do.”
Suguru opens his mouth to protest, because it’s not quite that easy to get Satoru to do things he doesn’t want to do, but before he gets a tone out, he’s back in his real body, pain radiating through his back and head and the curse flying straight at him.
Before Suguru can find his bearings again, Satoru crashes into the curse, instantly obliterating it when he wraps himself in Red.
“Satoru,” Suguru mutters out, still trying to catch his breath and somehow breathe through the pain in his back, when Satoru’s hands are already on him.
“Suguru, come here, come here,” he urges him on, his eyes fixed on something behind Suguru. “Get away from there, it’s not safe.”
“It is,” Suguru tries to argue, but one look at Satoru’s face tells him that he’s barely paying attention to him. His gaze is faraway again. “Satoru, I’m here, look at me,” Suguru implores him, and forces himself to stand up, so he can block Satoru’s line of sight. “Satoru, I need you to look at me.”
“I am looking at you,” Satoru gives back and while his eyes have snapped to his, Suguru can tell that his Eyes are still not looking at him, not really.
“No, you’re not, Satoru. I need you to look at me, really look at me.”
“But there–”
“It doesn’t matter. I will explain, just. Please, Satoru.”
It takes another agonisingly long moment before all of Satoru’s considerable attention focuses on Suguru. It almost feels like too much, but mostly, it just feels right.
“There you are,” Suguru breathes out and slightly slumps where he stands.
“Are you hurt?” Satoru immediately asks, his hands fluttering over Suguru’s chest and Suguru catches one hand in his own, pressing it to his rapidly beating heart.
“The curse threw me against a wall,” he explains. “Listen, Satoru, I met Death,” he then says and curses himself when Satoru’s cursed energy almost explodes all around them. “Shh, I’m good, I’m fine. It was just a friendly meeting, a nice talk. Calm down, Satoru, come on. I’m here.”
“I told them–” Satoru seethes through his teeth and Suguru can feel that his attention is straying away from Suguru again.
“I know. They said. And they didn’t touch me, they didn’t threaten me. Promise.”
It takes a while until Satoru’s suffocating attention is fixed on Suguru again but he waits him out before he goes on.
“You need to stop looking at the things you see,” Suguru says. “They don’t belong to the living world and they are hurting you.”
“I feel fine,” Satoru sniffs out, and Suguru doesn’t know if he even still believes that himself.
“You’re not fine, though,” Suguru says. “You’re absent. Your movement is greatly impacted. You’re fading away, and one day, you’ll be trapped in that world, beyond the veil.”
Satoru’s eyes stray again from Suguru, but he can’t let that happen. He squeezes Satoru’s hand, Death’s voice in his head, reminding him that Satoru fought Death for him and he decides to take a leap of faith here.
“Satoru, if you continue to look at it like you do, it will take you away from me. I can’t follow you there.”
“I’m not leaving you,” Satoru says, all Eyes instantly fixed on Suguru again and Suguru breathes a little bit easier.
“But you are,” Suguru gently corrects him. “If you look at it like that, you will. Death wanted to talk to me so I could warn you. They don’t want you over there either,” Suguru says with a small chuckle. “You really got them good, huh?”
“They tried to take you with them,” Satoru huffs out. “What else was I supposed to do?”
“I’m not complaining,” Suguru immediately gives back and threads their fingers together. “But now nothing in this world can take me away from you again. Don’t let anything take you from me, either.”
“I’m not–it’s just so–” Satoru trails off, his attention on Suguru wavering again.
“Satoru,” Suguru says and instantly, Satoru snaps back to him. “If you need to look at something, at someone, then look at me.”
It’s a lot, the Six Eyes complete attention, but Suguru is certain that he can shoulder it. If it means Satoru will stay by his side, he’ll get used to it quickly. He’s even going to enjoy it, Suguru suspects, because while it is a lot, it’s also a heady feeling, knowing he has all that attention for himself.
“I am,” Satoru protests but Suguru shakes his head.
“Right now, maybe, but I need you to always look at me when you get the urge to look at the other side. Whenever that happens, whenever your Eyes stray there, I need you to look to me.” He squeezes Satoru’s hand. “Can you do that for me?”
“Always?” Satoru asks for clarification and a wicked glint enters his eyes.
Suguru knows Satoru well enough to know what that means.
“Always,” he nods and doesn’t startle when Satoru moves close, close enough to nuzzle his cheek.
“Do you know what you’re asking for?” he quietly asks and Suguru shivers.
“You fought Death for me. I think I get it.”
“And I won,” Satoru proudly says, and Suguru buries his laughter in Satoru’s soft hair.
“And you won,” he agrees. “Now make sure that we stay together.”
“By always looking at you.”
“By always looking at me,” Suguru whispers, brushing his lips against Satoru’s cheek. “Promise.”
“I promise,” Satoru immediately agrees, turning his head slightly, so their lips meet.
It’s not the outcome Suguru expected when he got up this morning, or when he met Death, but he is certainly not going to complain, not when it means Satoru will be loud and affectionate and himself again. And especially not when it means that Suguru gets to kiss him now as well.

listen i love izzy. i dont even have to say this, all of you are fully aware of that fact. today i woke up and before i was even conscious enough to clearly remember what i was thinking abt in retrospect, i was thinking about izzy. i am ALWAYS thinking about izzy.
but some people give that man too much fucking credit, especially in s1. "he said he massages the crew so that means they must have respected him if he can influence them" what show were you watching where that was happening? genuinely?? blackbeard's crew cannot stand izzy. at best theyre kind of afraid of him, at worst they think hes a joke and only begrudgingly respect his authority because he has blackbeard backing him. we are literally SHOWN in episode two what izzy's "massaging the crew" looks like:
fang expresses frustration and confusion at blackbeard's choice to follow the revenge and izzy basically tells him to shut the fuck up and do his job without asking stupid questions.
and we all remember what happened when izzy lost edward's shadow looming large behind him and had to actually lead a crew on his own; they staged a mutiny in less than 24 hours.
izzy hands in season 1 is many things, but respected by his crew he is not. id argue we dont even have enough info to confidently judge whether he actually cares about them or not.
that's what makes his arc in season 2 all the more emotional! because after all the jabs at him, the mean nicknames and his unsuccesful attempts at bullying people back into line, he finally earned the crew's respect through his care for them. so much so that, where they'd previously attempted to kill him the second edward was finally out of the picture, they now went behind ed's back (at great risk to themselves) just to save izzy. that's what it's all about! that's why the new unicorn scene hits like a fucking freight train! that's why his death scene was such an insult, with the crew observing from the sidelines instead of doing anything in their power to help him!
izzy hands is such a great character. stop smoothing him down into this innocent victim who has never done anything wrong in his life and has always had everyone's best interest at heart. he starts out a mean, vindictive, jealous little cunt whose top priorities are 1) the man he's in love with and 2) being at the side of the man he's in love with. thats half of his charm! the other stuff comes later!!

my tadc fanon predictions (none of these really have anything to do with how i think the plot of the series will play out, just how the fandom will react)
1. at least one of the ships established after the pilot episode will not last through the series run— whether that’s because other, better options for ships come up now that there’s more characters to work with, or because one character does something so atrocious to another that the fandom mostly abandons the idea of them being a couple. (i say mostly because there’s always gonna be a few people who stick onto ships after reveals/canon occurrences like this)
2. jax has been stated a number of times by gooseworx herself to be a horrible, immoral person and so far we don’t have much canon material saying otherwise— but there will be a massive, fanon-wide schism about his characterization when he does something horrible and immoral in-series. people will start tagging jax’s pilot characterization and his series characterization as two separate characters. there will be arguments over which is the “true” jax and which version people should stick to when making fan content of him. he will be separated into a Sweet Little Guy and a Gangly Mean Bastard even though they’re basically the same guy at different points in time. people will ship these two versions together. it will be a bloodbath.
3. i actually don’t have any more, i just wanted to post my terrifying hypothetical for jax lol
