4.) I guess I became an official fan a little bit after the Rise movie came out. Of course, I had known about TMNT when I was pretty little cuz my older sib was a fan. I also watched a bit of the 2003 show and 2012 show growing up ✨

I think, for me, I would like to see more of Big Mama's assistant on my dash, but that's more so me just being out of the loop hehe 😅 There is another more serious topic that I would like to see be talked about, but I don't really have the words to articulate it currently.

Heck I am climbing in through your window on the heels of that SAINWB ask because I am so curious as to why Rise!Donnie and Leo don't trust 2k3!Leo. Is it vibes? Is it the little kid sense where they can pick up on it when someone is uncomfortable around kids? (Are they gonna do the cat thing where they hone in on the one person who's allergic to them and harass him?)

(Also I'm being very normal about Rise!Splinter being super attentive to 2k3!Donnie in what I'm sure is totally not the kind of attention his teenage sons might be a wee bit jealous of 👀👀)

AHHHHH come, come sit around and lemme share some background notes i have on all our kids --

sainwb is tentatively set in season 3 of 2k3, where Leo's bad boy vibes were still def under wraps, but any big change would shake loose feels. in the main series, these feels were pulled off by near death experiences and some tough choices that REALLY werent choices at all huh

basically leo hates when drastic things happen that are WILDLY out of his control and takes the blame for them.

kind of like... not being there when your two youngest brothers go looking for random readings on a roof top and go missing for hours (enter the beginning of sainwb)

dude rise splinter being super Here For a brand new baby doesnt really impact Mikey so much, cuz as the baby he had gotten a lot of attention from outside sources. dad not being on the up and up was not something his big sibs let him know about. if anything, he gets annoyed when Lil Donnie shies away from all the attention.

you wanna take bets on who DOES get extremely upset about it? if youre thinking raph, youre only half right. yeah, god does it sting watching your dad be there for all the things you stepped up for as a kid. but, as raph dealt with the loss of the twins, he came to a certain understanding about his dad and why he is the way he is. lotta forgiveness, tho maybe not verbally, was given Splinters way. doesnt stop the hurt tho, does it?

Smooth Criminal (Younger Brother Giovanni AU)

Giovanni flinched when he heard the shouts of his older brother Donnie, screaming at Mikey who ran out the bathroom, laughing his head off as Donnie emerged with a towel wrapped around his waist.

“Angelo! How dare you swap my soap with cooking oil!”

Giovanni blinks at the scene before shrugging his shoulders and focusing back on watching the TV.

Another time he witnessed Mikey putting a puppet of Mrs Cuddles into Raph’s bedroom. He didn’t think much of it until he heard Raph yell in fear and burst out from his bedroom, hiding behind the couch as Giovanni stood in the living room, confused as Mikey laughs and bounces away.

Giovanni watched Leo drown a carton of milk from the fridge. Mikey had cooked for everyone as per usual, but when Leo took a bite, his face turned red, and he runs around in search of water.

He couldn’t find any and so he drank the milk. After Leo was no longer burning at the mouth, he began chasing Mikey around when he saw the cocky smirk on his face.

Giovanni watched with utter confusion. He knew that they were pranks. But was this something that younger siblings had to do to their older brothers?

He’s seen similar things on TV before. But it was too confusing for the yellow-bellied slider. He walks away; the kitchen too loud with Leo yelling after Mikey who cackled like there was no tomorrow.

He went inside his room and sat down on the bed. Mindlessly picking at his fingernails.

He didn’t even hear his door opening until April spoke up. “Hey, you okay?” She asks gently, closing the door and walking over to check in on the youngest mutant.

“Huh? Oh, I’m…all right.”

“You sure? You looked pretty weirded out earlier.”

Giovanni sighs, gazing down at his lap before staring back up at April with a hint of curiosity. “Do all younger siblings have to do that?” He questions, but April only tilts her head, clearly not understanding what he meant.

“Mikey keeps playing these pranks on them. So…I don’t know, is that something little brothers have to do?”

April snorts and chuckles. “Oh that! Well, most siblings do that I suppose. It’s just the way things are.” She smiles lightly, mostly just teasing him but Giovanni took her words to heart.

“I see…”

April hums, patting his head and walking away. “It’s late. Best to get some sleep.” She informs, bidding him a quick farewell and leaving the bedroom.

His door closed and Giovanni placed a hand under his chin in thought. Looks like he’ll have to make a plan. First things first…which brother should he pick first?

Giovanni peeks around the corner, he had a plan for 2 days now. His victim he picked being Leo who was in the living room, playing a video game with Donnie.

In fact, all his brothers were watching the twins verse each other in whatever game they were playing.

Giovanni hesitantly walks over, walking around the couch and sitting in between Raph and Mikey.

Leo as Giovanni predicted, wasn’t wearing his blue mask. That’s good. It’s what Giovanni wanted.

“I win! Hah, champion once again.” Leo announces, jumping up to his feet and smirking proudly as Donnie groans and hunches over. “Who’s next?” Leo turns to the others, grinning competitively. But Giovanni clears his throat, “Leo…where’s your mask?” He innocently asks, surprising Leo who then hums in thought.

“Ah! I knew something was off. Be right back hermano’s.”

He walks past the group, whistling carelessly as he made his way to his room. Giovanni twitched, hands shaking as he gripped his knees. Mikey noticed and tilted his head towards Giovanni.

“Uh…okay Gio? You’re shaking.”

“I’m fine. Just…you’ll see.”

This had the three older brothers present in the living room, puzzled but they didn’t get to question him further when Leo yells, startling the others.

The red eared slider ran back to the others, his blue mask no longer blue but pink.

“Which one of you did this?!” He glares, mostly towards Mikey, Donnie and Raph who only stared, baffled.

Raph was first to laugh, followed by Mikey and Donnie.

“Haha! What happened to you? Did you dye your mask pink?!”

Leo growls softly, “Why would I dye my own mask pink? Blue is my colour!”

This only caused them to laugh louder and harder. All but Giovanni who nervously shakes before he couldn’t contain his guilt anymore and jumps up from the couch.

“It was me! I’m sorry! I don’t know why I did that!”

His older brothers pause and turn to him, Leo being the most chocked as watched Giovanni rant on and on about how sorry he was, and that he was only trying to play a prank, but he feels extremely guilty.

Leo knew Giovanni meant no harm to this prank. In fact, it only made Leo want to tease him. He smirks and leans against Donnie.

“Wow, my own little brother did this? Raph call the cops. We have a criminal in the family.”

Giovanni widens his eyes and bursts into tears, “No! I’m sorry! I don’t want to go to jail!” He cries, as the other slightly panic over their sensitive brother. Leo chuckled and patted his head, calming him down.

“Aww, it’s okay. Just pulling your leg.”

Giovanni sniffles and looks at Leo in confusion. He was then pulled into a hug by the slider.

“Aww! Guys, look at our little criminal growing up. He’s becoming a big boy now!” He teased once more, swinging Giovanni side to side in his hug.

The latter slightly flailing about, mumbling for Leo to let him go.

General:

Their birthday is April 26. They were born in Wallace and Gromit's basement. Both Dad and “Uncle” Wallace cried hehe.  They were each given a “color” when they were tiny, so they could be identified more easily. All of their collars, toys, etc. are in this color. (Quillan: blue, Wrigley: green, Diesel: yellow, Zen: pink, and Storie: red). Their birthdays are always a pretty big deal, Daddy Gromit always makes them their own tiny, individual cakes. Halloween is their collective favorite holiday. They love going all out on the decorations and costumes. They love ice cream, their favorite flavor being Neapolitan, which is also Mummy Fluffles's favorite. They argue and fight like typical siblings, but ultimately, they will always love and support each other. 

Quillan:

-Oldest. 

-Usually the “toughest” and rowdiest of the siblings. 

-Most masculine in personality and interests. 

-Very athletic. Is good at cricket, rugby, football (soccer), and golf. Likes golfing with Uncle Wallace. 

-Intellectually gifted, but not really interested in all that “nerdy” stuff. 

-Underneath that tough exterior, tho, is a huge mama's boy. He’s close with Fluffles, and will often go to her for advice, comfort, or just affection in general.

-The only thing that will get him to let his guard down? Tickles!😛

-Is actually gay, but hasn’t come out yet, not because he’s scared, but because he thinks everyone has attraction towards the same sex. 

-Say anything bad about his family, and HE. WILL. FIGHT. YOU. 

Wrigley: 

-Second oldest 

-Pretty masculine, just not as much as Quill. 

-Athletic as well, mostly just good at football, tho. 

-The “weakest” of his sibs intellectually. He was the last to learn how to read/write, and isn’t too great at math, either. 

-Secretly very insecure about this, even though his parents always reassure him that they’re not ashamed of him, and are equally proud of all their kids. 

-Very artistically talented, tho. Great at drawing and photography. 

-Gromit has started teaching him to knit, and he’s getting good at that, too!

-Is a gamer. His favorite game is Kingdom Hearts.  -The goofiest pup. Always making jokes and puns. Always the first to try to cheer his family up when they’re sad. Known to play pranks, too.

-Looks up to and admires his big bro, Quillan.

-Aro/ace

Diesel:

-Third born. 

-Quite effeminate and sensitive for a boy. 

-Extremely smart; loves literature and history, like his dad. 

-Good at knitting and sewing, too. 

-Cooking and baking is his passion. Is almost always seen in the kitchen. 

-Cries the easiest out of the pups. 

-Good swimmer, too. Was actually on a swim team for a time. 

-Gardening is another passion of his. Basically, he’s a mini version of his dad, so naturally, he’s the closest to him out of all the family members. 

-Except, he’s not too handy with tools, also, he’s scared of heights, so he’s not going in that plane anytime soon. 

-Despite his femininity, he’s actually cishet, and the only one of his sibs to be so. Of course, he’s a proud ally to them. 

Zen:

-Fourth born. 

-Kind of a stereotypical girly girl. 

-Very good at math, especially geometry. 

-Enjoys fashion and designing her own outfits. 

-Loves having tea parties, especially with her brother, Diesel.  -Paints Diesel's nails, too, and Storie's (when she lets her).

-Played volleyball for a while, but lost interest. 

-Is a dancer and a gymnast. Actually won a gymnastics tournament. Her favorite style of dance is jazz/modern. 

-Is surprisingly good at chess; has beaten her father several times. 

-Is the cuddliest of all the pups, often snuggles up to friends or family members. 

-Sometimes games with Wrigley. 

-Totally pansexual. 

Storie: 

-Youngest. 

-A bit more tomboyish than Zen. 

-Loves science and building things and technology. 

-Is trans, despite being the less girly of the sisters. 

-Uncle Wallace is the first person she came out to (she did so by pointing at a pic of the trans flag, then to herself.) When she came out to the rest of the fam, Zen was especially excited, because it meant she had a sister after all!

-Of course, with her love of building, she often helps Wallace in his workshop, and is extremely close with him. 

-Is a boxer, and quite good at it. She once beat the shit out of Quillan, lol. 

-Is passionate about acting. Has actually been in a couple of commercials, and had a cameo in an independent film. 

-Writes her own plays and movies. 

-Musically gifted, too. Plays piano and guitar, and has just started learning drums. 

-Definitely the most sarcastic and dry of the bunch. Always has something snarky to say.

-Straight. Before she came out, her family assumed she was a gay male, because of the way she stared at the male pups at puppy training classes. 😳

Bonus: 

All sibs are ADHD. Wrigley, Diesel, and Storie are autistic. Storie also has synesthesia.

Life update - haven't done one of these in a while, but I reached a save point, so a good time for it.

Read more break because it's longish:

- finally finished the assignment that was due in april. Far too late to submit, but I've emailed my course advisor (and will over the next week build up the courage to email my unit coordinator as well). I don't have to process this until next year when I re-take the unit, but if you don't count my capstone assessment for prac next year, then that was my last assignment for my masters of teaching. I'm frustrated with how long it took, but I really enjoyed completing it, and maybe I'll get to implement it one day (it was a proposal for a classroom intervention)

- mum and older sib finally found a rental, and also grandad's will has been done, so for the first time in my life I'm not worried about mum having money. Hopefully it lasts - it's not too much, but enough that i can breathe, and mum's getting better with money too, so it should last a bit. I actually really don't know what to do with myself.

- Cody has an infected paw. Vet wants to do exploratory surgery. I'm worried because of his age, but they wouldn't recommended it if they weren't sure he couldn't handle it. Now that mum can afford it, it's been scheduled after the move

- Singing lessons are going well - won't go into it too much because I've been doing that enough on the other blog. Almost done for the year though. I hope to rebuild my practice over the summer

- Had another big flare from around mid-July to end of August, and spent September recovering from it, but doing better now. It's been really frustrating because the whole point of moving my prac was to have this half of the year to work on my health (e.g. starting the CHOP protocol to manage my POTS better), but most of the time has been taken up by flaring and finishing that assignment (which was, of course, delayed because of the flare). I've been trying to make peace with it by reminding myself the flare would have happened anyway, and it's been informative to know I can finish anything given enough time and not forced to quit for the start of a new unit. Also, class doesn't go back until February, so I still do have a lot of time. I might have to move my prac again, but again, that decision is a long way off. My brain is just good at dilating and shrinking timeframes in an unhelpful way. Knock on wood for no more big flares for the rest of the year (and not catching covid third year in a row! Now that the flare is over and my assignment is finished, I can get my booster finally)

- Now that flare is over, slowly reconnecting with friends I haven't been able to stay in touch with. Slow going, but it's been good to see people and talk to people in real life who aren't my coworkers, my housemate, and my doctors. Also means I get to enjoy better the company of my friends of my weekly discord game. They'd never admit it, but I can be pretty annoying during a flare, so I'm glad we might get a reprieve from me for a while

I think there's other stuff, but those are the big ones. I've promised myself to do no teaching study for a few weeks. But I do have start all the admin and house things i"ve been putting off - I currently have 8 empty butter containers soaking for recycling that have been slowly collecting in the fridge since february. I hope I don't make a fool of myself by being optimistic - I could have another flare tomorrow. And I'm still exhausted all the time, but at the moment it's less so, so for the time being, I'll take the win.

Hi there, and thanks for the request! I apologize that this has taken me a while to get to, but I greatly appreciate your patience. I’m always here for some good good angst, ESPECIALLY with comfort at the end. The route I decided to go down was a private conversation between Leo and Raph after Leo wakes up from his coma in season 3. I hope this is to your liking and please enjoy!

We Still Need You

How long had it been? Three months or something?

To Raph it seemed like an eternity. After the Kraang had taken over New York the turtles and their allies had no choice but to leave the only home they had ever known and find some time to regroup. They had no idea what happened to master Splinter and if he was even alive, and Leo had sustained numerous grievous injuries that landed him in a coma.

They drove somewhere upstate to the farmhouse April used to live in when she was younger. They were still able to get food and supplies from the small town about 10 minutes away, but they really had to budget their money. It was tough, but they were getting by.

All Raph could focus on the past few months was his big brother. Leo was beaten, bloody, battered, and bruised and seeing him in such a state mand the red clad turtle's heart shatter. Of course there were times where the two of them didn't get along, that's what siblings do. But Leo has always been kind to him even when Raph would say something he didn't really mean and patient when his temper got out of control. Never once did Raph think he might have to live in a world without his big brother around.

He didn't know what time it was when Leo began to wake up. All the anxiety that had been weighing on Raph's mind and heart had dissipated in an instant. Blue eyes met green as Leo let out a raspy, "Hey."

It took Raph a second to process what had just happened. Honestly, he didn't think he would see the day his brother woke up from his coma. Even with knowing that Leo's body was probably stiff and sore Raph couldn't stop himself from bringing Leo into the tightest hug possible.

"I thought we lost you man..." Raph mumbled quietly. The older turtle embraced his younger brother in the hug, albeit not as tightly.

"It's good to be back," Leo replied. As relieved as he was, there was still a pit in Raph's stomach, an anxiety that hasn't gone away since they had to flee New York.

"Can I be honest with you about something?" the younger turtle asked with a bit of apprehension in his voice. His tone took Leo back for a second. His confident, feisty, hotheaded, proud younger brother had never sounded so... scared before.

"What's on your mind Raph?"

The anxiety began to swell in his stomach. Raph couldn't make eye contact with Leo, he just couldn't bring himself to do it. The roof of his mouth felt like it had gone numb, and he could feel his heart beating in his chest. Recounting the events that happened the night of the invasion was hard for the three younger turtles, April and Casey. Everyone and everything that they had loved had to be left behind so that they could fight another day. But the one thing that was etched so clearly into the back of Raph's mind was seeing Leo be thrown through that apartment window.

It was something that he had beaten himself up over for months: Not being there when leo needed him the most. He couldn't imagine the hell his brother must have gone through for his body to be as damaged as it was, and he couldn't stomach the struggles Leo will have to go through while he's recovering.

"I was scared. Scared out of my...." Raph let out a sigh. "Out of my fucking mind."

This admission caught Leo off guard, especially the fact that Raph had just cursed. Sure, the red clad turtle would use bad language under his breath or when his temper got the better of him, but never was he so honest about it.

"Splinter's missing, we've been crashing at April's old farmhouse for the past few months getting by with what we got, and you've... been in here. Sleeping. And with as bad as your injruies were I..." Raph trailed off. Red hot tears were starting to swell up and sting his eyes. It stung more than any chili pepper or hot sauce could've. A look of concern grew on Leo's face.

"Raph...?" he asked quietly.

"We need you. I need you, Leo. And I don't think I realized just how much until this whole mess went down..." Raph's voice became quiet as Leo's expression softened. The older turtle did his best to prop himself up and lean over the edge of the tub to pull Raph into as tight of an embrace as possible.

Their father had told them time and time again that at some point they will be all that each other have. They knew that very well. It was always hard to tell when Raph cared, he was never one to really tell people just what he was thinking or how he was feeling. But Leo knew that this was one of the rare moments where Raph simply needed his big brother to be there for him. He could feel Raph hug him back, holding onto him tightly as if he was going to disappear.

And then he felt the tears. Raph never cried. Well, that is mostly the truth, Leo's caught him crying while watching a Disney movie on occasion but he knew that Raph would rather walk on flaming hot coals than get caught crying. The sniffling and choked back sobs pulled at Leo's heart and he could see how vulnerable Raph was.

The older turtle knew that words weren't what Raph needed at the moment. So he remained present, a physical form that his brother could lean on. He knew that Raph might not say anything about this moment a few hours, a few days, a few weeks, or even a few years from now. But Leo knew deep down that Raph appreciated him just being there.

Ada Baker, also know as little Baker would be the baby sibling to the baker twins ofc.

Two years behind to be exact.

Current age as of season 5: 17/18? —Since the writers never have a consistent timeline/time frame— but it’s been brought to my attention due to the one of the episodes that Jordan is 19 so Olivia is also 19.

They’re both born in April, making them Aries babies

Two year old Jordan was not thrilled having another sister, which Laura and Billy found funny considering how close he ended up being to Ada.

Back then? They heavily got on each other’s nerves.

Ada is a cancer (born in late June) and although reserved/Stand off-ish to some, her closest friends and family know just how goofy she is just like the baker’s all can be.

She snorts when she laughs for one.

She’s also the first one to break out into dance moves with their dad Billy once he gets into his two-step routine or soul train moves, regardless of who’s watching, she loves laughing and dancing with that bald headed man.

Quiet yet sweet and temperamental all wrapped in one. First they’re sour, then they’re sweet—is definitely Ada!

The youngest sib is actually the most protective imo—she’ll throw hands for any of her sibs and will insert herself into any of their fights if need be.

Most of the time she’s open to seeing different perspectives but all hats are off when it goes to those that start shit with her big brother and sister.

Jordan and Ada are the fighters whereas Liv is more so on the verbal part, the girl is slick with her words but don’t underestimate—Liv has a mean uppercut and back hand. Have you seen those long arms?!

Was the “chubby” sibling growing up so lots of bullying was going on and kids also liked to pick on her freckles? How dumb! which resulted in fights and a few suspensions or detentions—older baker’s included.

Ada never had a reason to experience body dysmorphia (even when her own grandmother would make shady comments to Laura when they visited her for the weekend) until other kids started making it a big deal. 

She hit puberty early and the immaturity seemed to only increase due to being top heavy and not shaped so thinly like her mother or older sister.

Lots of depression, anger, wearing baggy clothing, and limiting their food intake became a thing during her middle school years and she became the first out of the family to seek therapy.

Billy didn’t think it was necessary, feeling that his daughter should just talk to him, his wife, or her siblings as the answer. It took some convincing and it wasn’t until Billy picked up on some unhealthy habits—like barely eating, purging, fainting from lack of nutrients, and seeing her constantly step on the scale three x a day, did he finally come around.

Then she took up kick-boxing which helped a lot along with her hobby of creating her own coraline inspired dolls and obsession with stop motion animation films.

She wasn’t as athletic as Jordan and she remembered being forced to attend dance classes as a kid with Liv but it ultimately wasn’t her thing.

Ofc sports were encouraged in the baker household and softball was a thing for awhile before kickboxing, “but you’re excellent at softball why would you want to give it up?” Billy asked an eight year old Ada who just shrugged her shoulders in the backseat after a game, “it’s boring daddy and I don’t want to do it anymore.” He was always softhearted for his baby girls so he didn’t pushed it but he became even more excited when Ada picked up kickboxing—not for the reason behind it though!

Ada’s kicks were insane!

“Ada, What’s the most rebellious thing you’ve ever done?” Olivia asked while the siblings decided to do a sibling tag for Liv’s Instagram.

The twins awaited Ada’s answer as she sat in between them and snorted, “probably get pregnant.”

Olivia nodded her head with her lips pushed out, lightly laughing as she returned her attention back to her phone, “Oop.”

“Well that’s all folks.” Jordan gave a two finger salute while Ada shrugged at the camera, a smirk on her lips.

It’s not like she purposely went out and got pregnant at fifteen but it was the first thing that came to mind—although there was probably a small list—she can be straight forward sometimes.

She went to Liv first with this huge secret, wanting her big sis to be there with her while she took the two tests from her Tongan boyfriend, who sneakily stole one from his older sister and bought the other.

“You better not be pranking me, Ada. This is serious.” Liv paced the floor while Ada was in the bathroom, tending to business.

“Why would I joke about this? You saw how much I was shaking when I told you.”

Liv sighed, knowing she was right. She was shocked that Ada even thought this was a possibility, eyes wide and almost gagging at the image of her sister being involved with her annoying jock boyfriend who didn’t even look sixteen.

But she also felt pride that Ada came to her first about this whole ordeal. The baker family was slowly getting better at paying more attention to each other and communicating so this actually means a lot that Ada trusted Liv with this secret.

With Liv reading the two pink lines for her and the second almost screaming: pregnant. she held onto her baby sister who fell into tears over this new change of direction her life was about to unfold.

Laura was told next before Ada’s bf at the time and Laura had the same reaction as liv: wide eyes and mouth agape before she rounded off questions: “how could you be so irresponsible? You’re only a child yourself! We’re making you an appointment first thing tomorrow morning to see how far along you are and your best options!”

Laura was just as upset as Ada but it was evident the girl was scared at the mere fact that she was having a child and that her family would probably disown her. Laura could see it in her child’s low-set damp eyes and with the way Liv was trying to be a mediator, she sighed trying to collect her thoughts, calming down.

Eventually Laura squeezed Ada to her chest, telling her that everything will be figured out and not to speak a word of it to her father until after the appointment.

Jordan found out anyways since her bf blurted it out one night when they ran into each other at this restaurant and Jordan roughed the younger boy up a bit for even “joking” about his sister like that before it was broken up.

Jordan invaded Ada’s privacy, going through her room to get some answers and when he did… he never could keep a secret—he brought it right to their father.

Billy and Jordan were heavily disappointed and said some very hurtful things that Laura immediately stepped in, her mommy bear instincts firing off at the two men in the house. “What’s the matter with you two? This is your daughter, your sister! To think what the both of you said to her was even remotely okay, tells me you don’t respect her as a person and I won’t stand for either of you speaking to her like that!”

Ada gave them both the silent treatment for a month until a sit down was demanded by Laura and Liv.

Apologies were made and life went on but that didn’t mean the wound wasn’t still there.

Ada rarely forgot much.

To be pregnant by your first love changed everything for Ada Baker. To have a bf so supportive, more supportive than her own father and brother meant a lot and she swore she was going to be with this guy forever.

Until he moved back to New Zealand, finding it selfish that her bf’s family just up and left knowing he had a child.

Which made things even harder for Ada. Juggling school—the gossip and the work load, the absence of her bf in raising their child together, simply being a teen mom was extremely hard, the change of her body after birth, she thought about old habits until she looked into the replica of her own hooded eyes that she handed down to her child, reminding Ada that she had to be better for her.

Everyday was a daily struggle but one thing is extremely true: Ada loved her daughter, dearly.

The little girl easily gained the number one spot for “best friend”

She loved having matching outfits with her and socializing with her who easily babbled back before she really learned how to speak.

Although Ada’s teenage years changed because of her daughter, she couldn’t imagine what it would be like without her vocal, smart, and active child.

It got a smidge easier as Ada’s baby got older, allowing her to spend more time with the vortex and her own set of friends. She became less needy but still adored Ada just the same.

There’s no other way to describe a child running up to you to give you the biggest hug after a long day 🥹

Attending high school, homework, work, and tending to a two year old before and after—majority of the time depending what time Ada got off. She was super thankful that Mama Laura stepped in most of the time along with the vortex. Ask her how she does it? Barely.

She gets frustrated with her child’s father since he’s not physically here to help and a FaceTime can only do so much.

I feel like the vortex wouldn’t exclude Ada as much as they got older. They’ve all been friends since childhood and she was always viewed as, “Little Bunny Baker” or simply “Little baker.”

The bunny stood for: Ada’s obsession with bunnies back when she was in elementary school.

The bakers never got into owning a cat or a dog. It was always a hamster or a fish since the family was usually always on the go.

Which resulted in Jordan accidentally k*lling Ada’s pet Bunny, leaving it outside in its cage during a heatwave in the hills while they were heading to the Grand Canyon one summer.

Ada would have done it herself and sure it was her responsibility but being rushed out of the house with a father like billy at the crack of dawn—Billy, Liv, and Ada left for the airport early to catch a morning flight since Laura couldn’t get off work until the afternoon and would be taking the evening flight with Jordan

Ada begged jordan on the phone to do it for her as they made it to the airport and Jordan said he would

Laura double checked with Jordan before they were also rushing out of the house to their car service and Jordan swore he did…

Until they came back and you can guess what was left for Ada there.

That was the last time she ever forgot to do something. Shout-out to childhood trauma!

anyways it wasn’t necessarily anything personal with the vortex, it’s just that she was a little young and they were older and they were the “cooler.” She was just kinda “weird” kid with glasses and freckles who wasn’t into what other kids were into. You know how that goes as the younger sibling…

JJ was probably the only one that didn’t make Ada feel some type of way as a kid. Always the big heart that one and Ada would be lying if she said a teeny crush wasn’t formed—back then!

Layla was sorta nice too, being Olivia’s glamorous best friend and all but Ada didn’t miss how they gossiped about her sometimes when Ada left the room—which resulted in Ada calling Liv out on it.

The screaming matches between those two growing up? It makes complete sense why Ada’s daughter has a set of strong vocal cords on her.

But hey that was all childhood stuff! As they got older, there was no need for the excluding of Ada Baker. She was just as much family as Jordan and Olivia.

If she’s down to party, she’s hitting up JJ and knows how to have a good time but knows her limit. Full on compliments from the long haired blond whenever he see’s her and he may or may not get a dance with her. “C’mon! None of that I don’t dance, crap!” “Okay, JJ! Just keep your hands where I can see them.” “Forsure! I’m a total gentleman, just ask all my lady lovers.” “This is where I leave you.” “Awww c’mon! I’m just giving a reference!”

She wasn’t the closest with asher, even when he dated Liv after Layla. She honestly didn’t approve of the relationship but Liv wasn’t trying to hear that. They actually shared some words here and there but now? They speak to each other much calmer now that he’s having a baby and is full of questions. Ada’s actually befriended Jaimee/Jaymee quite easily and Asher just wanted to get along with everyone that was cool with his gf.

Asher is the one constantly asking questions whereas Jaimee just tends to go with the flow. He’ll even text Ada at odd hours asking questions just to be hit with, “Asher, it’s midnight. Go to bed or I’ll cancel your ass again.” “Okay but before you consider doing that! What does colic mean again?” “Sorry but…Google is free.” “Who needs google when I have the real thing here?” “👋🏽” “hello?”

I’d say she’s probably closest with Jaimee and maybe Patience. They’re usually the two she’s hanging out with while the rest of the vortex maybe busy and if she isn’t dragged to hang with Jordayla (mostly by the request of Layla) and Liv or isn’t hanging out with her daughter or her own group tbh.

How does she feel about jordayla? It wasn’t much of a shock to her (or anyone) that this was a thing. Everyone knew and they failed so horribly to “hide it.”

They were all in each other’s faces like no one else was in the room at the baker’s household

“Well this is disturbing.” Ada mumbled to her mom, popping a zucchini slice in her mouth while she bounced her giggling daughter on one hip. Which earned a shush from Laura and a cackle from Liv.

Overall she may shit-talk the relationship but she’s happy that her brother found true love again after Simone and she definitely drags Jordan for proposing but is all smiles when Layla actually asks her to be a bridesmaid with a gift way down the line.

She’s a spelivia shipper, always rooting for them and she was always fond of Spencer the more he came around…kinda liking the idea that he may have biologically been a brother. Ada wouldn’t have minded another brother and Spencer seemed to become that regardless of blood and she liked how he always looked out for everyone (a gift and a curse!), especially Liv.

With Spencer came coop and just like Asher, Ada also had her ups and downs in their friendship but most of the time they got along and kinda had to since they all lived together.

Ada Baker is ultimately type 4, “the individualist,”(“Fours want to be unique and to experience deep, authentic emotions. Type Fours fear they are flawed and are overly focused on how they are different from other people”) when it comes to the vortex and basically life.

He is shedding so that's why he has a grey patch on his back((its gone now but the rest of his body is still shedding)). He is about 5 months old could be 6. Still trying to teach him his name, he loves eating bee pollen and he eats his greens like the big boy he is :} He has a lot of isopods in his cage and baby crickets, so his bio cage is set up correctly. He is still a calm boy but he has a lil sass to him! When my family shit talk him he will snap his head towards them and squint at them lmao. He is also helping my mother with her rubber ducky isopods, she was having a hard time growing her colony. one day we gave them some of Durnehviir's shed and they ate it and started to breed like crazy so now each time he sheds and I'm able to get a piece it now goes to the rubber duckies.

Explanation under the cut cuz it's both kinda spoilers and long.

Mikey: Was told by his parents about his sibs and Splinter but believed them to be dead and/or captured by the Kraang. Wanted to go to New York so he could finally find out and possibly save them so he could have his big happy family.

Leo: Wasn’t told by Splinter about Mikey's existence but could feel something missing. Warms up to Mikey being family the fastest, but it still takes a little bit.

Raph: Same as Leo in regards to knowledge, but more complicated feelings towards Mikey being family. Is decent friends with him, but he's just a good friend not family. Struggles with that distinction for a while.

Donnie: Same as Leo and Raph in knowledge territory. Doesn't outright hate Mikey but has a one-sided beef with him as it seems like Mikey has everything he ever wanted. A totally normal looking family, a good relationship with April (she's Mikey's cousin in this au), actual social skills, and on top of all of that he has cool powers(electro Mikey). However he acts like he is excited to have Mikey as he knows April wants them to get along and be happy.

I was showing my sib another fun little thing with rise the other day, the thing where in the movie you can see big mama dead and April’s bun being blown in the wind coming from the ground.

But as i was showing them, for SOME GOSH DARN REASON

I did NOT see April’s arm flopped out and i did NOT see her bat all broken.

THEY WERE LITERALLY SMACK DAB IN THE CENTE4R OF THE SCREEN TOO.
