I played the archon quest...
It was played out so well AND I TEARED UP SO MANY TIMES IN THE START ITSELF WHAT DO YOU MEAN CASUALTIES ON POSSOIN WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT MELUSE AND SILVER—
I was rather delusional, "they would let anything happen to the people of Fontaine, even Furina should be alright", they all weren't alright and even furina suffered so much
I gasped so many times ESPECIALLY WHEN THAT CUTSCENE WHERE THE MAGIC BOX OPENS AND WERE ON THE STAGE OF THE OPERA OMG AND THE WHOLE TRIAL
When the traveller spoke and revealed that they were all here to prove that furina was in fact not the hydro archon I was so shocked (not that I didn't expect that furina wasn't the archon but because I didn't expect them to so openly charge her in court like they did)
And the whole narwhal breaks into the opera house and the following cutscene, Childe literally fell back into that... portal??? and like no one was worried about him lmao (childe got sent to prison and then he broke out, tried to contain the narwhal and protected the people of Fontaine from becoming fodder... if I must say the grudges I held against him for stirring up trouble in Liyue has vanished....)
And the the Focalors and Neuvillette convo and the cutscene I WAS SO CLOSE TO SOBBING MY EYES OUT AND FOCALORS SAYING "HYDRO DRAGON HYDRO DRAGON DON'T CRY" sob sob why is hoyo making everyone sad
And the narwhal was so cool ngl the animations and all!! And... I struggle with that phase 2 thing because I don't have fontaine characters aside from lynette and freminet and was like wdym use pneuma and ousia and I was just standing there letting the humanoid boss doing his thing while well not actually doing anything because Zhongli's shield but then yeah I actually managed to read the info text thing instead of blanking out lmao
AND THEN SKIRK WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT NARWHAL IS A PET???????????? THIS FOWL GUY IS INSANE FOR HIS CHOICE OF PETS LIKE EXCUSE ME?? IT NEARLY WRECKED A NATION????
And furina crying on her throne was actually so sad but even sadder once you actually understand all that she has been through... I really want to play her story quest immediately
And this third descender.... I need more lore...
And now that Fontaine's archon quest ended, I am excited for when dain will appear and then Natland please give us more info about that nation we haven't even seen an npc from there.... but Neuvillette saying that there's dragons over there like hohoho more dragons? I'm up for it!
Okay this ask got really long so I'll end it here
CONGRATS ON BECOMING A FURINA HAVER!!! AND THE EARLY JEAN C2 AND THE BAIZHU WEAPON!!! WOOHOO!
🍀
no bc i am still not okay from that aq and its been a week. WHENEVER I THINK ABT IT OR EVEN HEAR THAT DAMN OST I START SOBBING 😭 meluse and silver..... MELUSE AND SILVER................ NO U DONT UNDERSTAND THE AMOUNT OF TEARS I SOBBED AND IT WAS RIGHT AT THE START 😭😭
and no that cutscene... i felt horrible for furina being forced into that position and even tho we find out later she wouldnt have told us everything when in that box, its the fact that if she did, all her hard work being someone she isnt, losing herself over the last 500 years of loneliness and solitude would have been for nothing bc then everyone there would have found out the truth before the final trial and :(( i just felt we were being way too harsh and inconsiderate of her, even despite the scenario of the prophecy at the time
AND YES THE WHOLE CHILDE PART HAD ME JUMPING AND GASPING AND HUH-ING SO BAD KDSHFS AND WHEN SKIRK JUST YEETED HIM AWAY WITH THE NARWHAL WHEN WE MET HER 😭🤚
THE NEUVILLETTE FOCALORS MOMENT.... THE FURINA MONOLOGUE AND ALL THE SCENES SHE HAD TO GO THROUGH FROM 500 YEARS AGO TO THE PRESENT.... FURINA CRYING ON HER OWN AND ASKING HERSELF WHEN WILL IT ALL BE OVER..... THE FOCALORS CUTSCENE AND DANCE AND THE OST CHANGING AND THEN NEUVILLETTE REGAINING HIS AUTHORITY AND DECLARING THE PEOPLE OF FONTAINE AS NOT GUILTY....... UGLY SOBBING I HAD TO SIT THERE STARING AT NOTHING FOR A GOOD 10-20 MINUTES AFTER THE CUTSCENE WAS OVER BC THE TEARS WOULD NOT STOP SOBBING AND I WAS NOT OKAY
crying daughter furina uve been through so much and have such amazing willpower and strength i hope u live a happy and peaceful life as an ordinary human now ;w; or as ordinary as u can get after everything u went through ;w;

All your life, you think that this was what you’ve been born to do.
It’s engraved in years of tradition and history, a role you had to partake in the moment you came out of the womb. It was predetermined that your fate would end up in this situation.
Purity was an important factor for the historical families of the Wizarding world. Those who had come down from powerful bloodlines consider the tradition of keeping the family pure a sacred tradition of their power and authority over society.
A pedestal created from years and years of bloodshed to hone the perfection of wizardry and magic today. You suppose it was only an act of gratitude to be part of a long-lasting dynasty that preserved the sacred power of your ancestors. You know it’s an honor to be tasked with this role—to be given the duty of creating more branches for future generations.
You should know because this was what you were born to do.
Born and raised to be a bridge for other Pureblood families to lengthen their authority and claim over their self-built thrones. They say it’s a privilege—to be part of a family descended from the Great Four or just have connections with them through their ancestors’ relationships.
To be pure is to be great.
To be pure is to live a life filled with luxuries.
Opportunities are immediately given with just a snap of their fingers. Their authority precedes those whose blood is stained with the lesser. You’d think living a life of a pureblood would just entail all roses and gold.
Y/N would beg to differ.
“Keep your head bowed and hands on your lap,” Your mother’s voice is ever so cold. The carriage rustles with each bump against rocky terrain. You suppose it's about time you've gotten used to her tone but the booming surprise of her voice has a way of sinking its claws deep within your small heart. As a child, obedience was the foremost value you learned to be of importance. You knew that if you flick your head slightly off angle to your usual disposition due to an interest in your surroundings or the people around you, you would only get the receiving end of your mother’s wand. You knew that you'll be locked down in that dreaded abyss if your bow stuttered due to a misplacement of your foot in front of other pureblood families.
At a young age, you knew enough to not make a mistake.
Born third to the Rosier family's eldest son, you knew that your duty was to form connections—Marry off into other pureblood families and create the next generation of talented pureblood wizards. Wizards have the natural right to take what’s theirs because of their authority over society. A vision that threatens those beneath them.
So you keep your head bowed and palms tucked nicely on your lap with one palm over the other. Your mother is a cold and moving force beside you as you tried to match her pace despite your small little legs. At the age of 7, you are brought by your mother for marriage negotiations.
“Your husband will be an esteemed member of the Gaunts,” You remember your father declaring over tea. He sits menacingly in the front of the table, the glow of the flames behind him making his figure all the more unreachable. You know to only nod and not question any further. He makes a point by knocking on the wooden surface of the long dinner table that seems to stretch farther with each day. You wonder if the spaces beside you will ever be filled. You turn to him at the beckoning of your attention. “You listen carefully to your future husband, child. I cannot afford another failure.”
His words engrave deeply within your poor meek heart. You know that if you deny it, you’ll suffer the same fate that of your older sister—the one who tried to get a glimpse of the love and normalcy she desperately wanted yet ended with a tragedy.
You remembered that day in such vivid detail—the cold looks of your parents as they looked down at the state of their eldest daughter, who bawls and claws at any sort of reaction from the still and lifeless figure of her former lover.
So just like the obedient perfect child that you are, you nod and bow—subservient to the influences of those who claim to be wiser than you. You can only do so much to control your faith so alas, you let go and let the others hold the reigns.
That is until you meet him.
You were faintly aware of what he looked like. A boy with eyes as bright as the clouds, hair so smooth—so blonde that it gleams perfectly in the sunlight, and moles that litter his face, mimicking the night sky. These were murmurs of him from the servants in the halls of your manor. They say his beauty is compared to that of Rowena Ravenclaw and his demeanor spoke true as a descendant of Salazar Slytherin. However, there were also whispers of his only flaw.
“They say the young lord does not see.”
You wondered before how true the nature of the gossip of the young lord was when you took your first step inside the Gaunt estate, but now, as you stand before him who seems detached from the world with his eyes as dull as the morning sky on a rainy day, you suddenly make a conclusive remark about him.
He was truly a sight to behold.
“This is the young Lord, Ominis Gaunt," His mother declares proudly from her place, chest puffed and earrings dangling from the heaviness of the jewels that clung tightly to their placements. His father stands idly and lets his wife do all the matching. Your mother only smiles, placing a firm hand on your back—reminding you of your duty.
You bow with the elegance that of a noble—A move you’ve honed to perfection from years and years of teaching and practice. You rise back up with the same pace, eyes peering up at him from your lashes. He only seems to daze off into the distance.
“This is Lady Y/N Rosier. We’ll serve you well.”
The silence is unbearable.
You think that maybe after the taxing interaction with the grown-ups and being able to interact alone with the young lord would allow you to finally discover his true personality.
That, however, continues to be a difficulty.
"Do you like fencing, my lord?" You ask, trying to break the ice as you sit across from him in one of the receiving rooms of the Gaunt's huge manor. "Or perhaps history?"
"Stop asking." He replies curtly, stance devoid of interest. You continue to dig deep into that shell of his, hoping that your incessant need to make conversation would crumble the defensive walls he put up.
"I hear you're quite skilled in astronomy, my lord—"
"Don't call me that."
"What do I call you then?" You perk up, cheeks gleaming with a smile. The furrowing of his eyebrows only digs deeper.
"It appears that I am an avid fan of silence. I suggest not speaking at all," For a 7-year-old, his voice is cold and authoritative. You suppose it's because of his closeness to the Great Four that he is granted with such ability to freely talk however he wants. Your eyes glimmer in awe.
"I just want to get to know my future husband," You retort, trying to make sense of your fiance. You pout like a child, feet swinging back and forth—allowing yourself a moment of reprieve from the stiffness of tradition. "Mother says it's customary for us to be familiar with one another at a young age to establish proper connec—"
His hands slam hard at the wooden surface of the table in front of you. You flinch, a bit surprised by his sudden show of strength. You admit that maybe you've gone a bit too far with the questioning, but it was all for a good purpose anyway! You two are to be one in due time. So, what was so wrong about getting to know him?
You wonder if you'll ever be like him someday. To carry himself in such a stance that he doesn't need to nod or bow to anyone. He tilts his head in the direction of your voice, face contorted into a glare.
"I'll be on my way," He murmurs, voice calm, and yet his disposition evokes anger and frustration. You watch him with bated breath as he walks towards the double doors, the servants bowing and opening it for him with ease.
You know that this should be the final nail in the coffin. To detest the boy you'll soon marry as he turns into a man whose values and inhibitions clung onto him like a wolf who won't release it's jaws onto prey. You know and yet your fingers crumple the fabric of your skirt, eyes looking forward to your next meeting.
The next time you meet him is over tea. It was the turn of the Gaunts to visit your manor as dictated by the tradition of courting within noble houses. You've practiced this scenario over and over. Countless of times alone, with your governess, and with your mother. It's engraved within the depths of your mind as the wounds of the past sting with each sip of your drink.
Act like a noble. Drink like a high-born. Be a pureblood.
The thoughts ring harshly with each thump of your beating heart. Your fingers twitch, and your form stiffens—all for the sake of tradition. The words branding the forefront of your mind as you feel the intensity of your mother's gaze.
I have to do good. I need to do good.
"Your estate is a wonderful place, Lady Rosier," The Gaunt Matriarch addresses your mother with an esteemed elegance—to which your mother only responds with a courteous smile, a part of her façade.
Your mother never liked purebloods but she respected tradition. She smiles and bows in front of her peers but mocks and beseeches them in the comfort of her room.
You don't understand your mother but as a young child, validation from her was the only thing you ever wanted.
And so you try.
"It's all due to our ancestors' hard work in keeping the Rosier history alive through the manor's architecture," You respond, lips contorted into a gentle smile. The Gaunts seem impressed by your interest in the conversation and from the corner of your eye, you see your mother shift in her seat.
"I see," Lord Gaunt eyes you with a glint of interest in his eye, and he shifts his attention to your parents. "Lord and Lady Rosier, you've raised a daughter worthy of her blood. I applaud you."
Your mother smiles and for the first time, you feel your heart thump at the recognition of doing good. She then responds, "As they should be. It is their role to be worthy and I'm sure she'll be a wonderful spouse to the young master."
Your attention then shifts to the quiet blonde sitting idly in his seat. His face is stone cold, eyes dull, and fists clenching the material of his seat so hard it turns white.
Anger was the first emotion you've seen on Ominis's face.
You wonder if you'll get to see more.
"Aren't you excited?"
You squeal, influenced by the utter joy of finally attending school. It's your first year.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where most wizarding families are built and made from. Many of your relatives built their name from their experiences as a student in Hogwarts—after all it was in your blood to be ambitious. To dream of the impossible and achieve it by any means. That's why your family house dons the colors of green and silver—a direct allegiance to the house of Slytherin, that of which many of your blood relatives reside during their time as a student.
While being excited about Hogwarts was already a given factor as a child of magic, there's also one thing you're most excited about.
"Stop bouncing about, Y/N," Ominis grumbled as he heaved his bag over his shoulder. "We still have to find our damn car."
Your relationship with Ominis did progress in some ways. He's less grouchy now and tolerates your personality enough to let you stay by his side. You've gotten used to its indifference but you think that it's good progress with how he talks more with you albeit still with glares and a cold demeanor.
He pays you no mind as he traverses through the narrow pathway of the train with the guide of his wand. You follow closely behind, hands carrying your suitcase as Ominis guides you to your assigned car.
"I can't help it, I'm literally bursting with energy," You whine as Ominis finally reaches your destination, slides the door open, and places his things inside. He plops down to the farthest corner and leans back to rest. You immediately claim the seat next to him to which he grumbles.
"There's plenty of seats for you to take," He scowls, gesturing to the empty seats in front of you both. You only giggle as you snuggle up next to him.
"Oh don't be such a stone-faced troll, Ominis!" You whine, slapping his arm. He tenses with anger at the gesture. "It's natural for me as your fiancée to be as close to you as possible."
"Stop calling yourself that," His eyebrows furrow in annoyance, jaw clenching in anger. You roll your eyes, not minding his hostility.
"But I am though?"
"I swear to Merlin's name and everything he holds dear, if you don't—"
The slide of the door halts your conversation as your eyes and his head flick toward the sudden disturbance. Two brunettes pop in, one seemingly looking like a direct copy of the other. They blink, eyebrows raised as they stare at the two of you.
"116?" The boy asks with an awkward smile. "Are we interrupting something?"
You pull yourself slowly from Ominis's space at the prospect of new friendships. You smile. "No worries, just a lovers' quarrel. I assume you're the ones we'll share the car with?"
"There is no lovers' quarrel." Ominis firmly states. The two purse their lips in slight hesitance. "Please, do join us though. Merlin knows I need it."
The two then make their way to sit in the remaining two empty seats, placing their luggage in the compartment under. You smile as they settle down in their seats, bright smiles plastered on their faces.
"Right," The boy starts. "Uh, I'm Sebastian Sallow and this is my sister, Anne. It's nice to meet you both."
You nod excitedly at the introduction, delighted to make friends at the present opportunity.
"I'm Y/N Rosier," You respond. You then gesture to the blonde next to you. "And this is Ominis Gaunt, my fian—"
"Friend." Ominis cuts through, overpowering your voice. You turn to him with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. "They mean friend."
The twins glanced at the two of you, puzzled by the shifting of the balance in your dynamics. Anne breaks the silence.
"Well, we'll be spending quite a long while here, I hope to make your acquaintance," The Sallow girl beams. Sebastian nods at his sister's words while Ominis responds with a hum of agreement.
There's not much to say when the group falls into silence once more. The four of you were strangers after all, still not used to the presence of someone new but the feeling is welcomed.
Your eyes glance at Ominis who seems to have been resting his eyes, leaning his head against the wall—waiting for the train to begin its course. The corner of your lips curl up at his iridescent beauty.
The train sounds its whistle beginning your journey.
"Are you dumb?"
Imelda blatantly states as she stares at you with disinterest in her eyes. She takes a bite of her apple. "Or just purely ignorant of what's actually happening?"
On your 3rd year at Hogwarts, you somehow get grounded to reality through the presence of Imelda Reyes.
You suppose it's all in due time that you'd be awakened from the trauma-inducing nightmare of tradition and sacred rules of your family. The need to fulfill your role. To give Ominis a home he needs, a family he wants, and a lover he deserves. You suppose that your role overshadowed your judgment of his character and behavior.
You had gotten used to it. To his blatant ignorance of your efforts, the glares, sarcastic comments, seething scoffs, or the fact that sometimes, he doesn't see you at all.
He's always like this, you think. You were never bothered by his indifference. You believed that you could love him enough for the both of you.
You were stupidly wrong about that too.
Sebastian and Anne are terrific company. After being acquainted in your first year, your little group had been formed then and there. The two of them stayed for the past 2 years and you were truly grateful for them. However, the twins were mostly close to Ominis. You didn't mind the gaps between you and the siblings seeing as you prioritized your relationship with Ominis more than anything.
You never really considered it to be a bad thing.
That is until Imelda begins to scratch at the surface of your finely built walls.
You purse your lips, minding your own business as you continue to sew a new stitch into the stretched fabric. You were unfortunate enough to share the dorm room with Imelda and while you enjoyed the rambunctious' Slytherin Quidditch Captain's companionship, this was certainly not something you'd rather talk with her. Everything was fine and there was no need to nitpick at every detail.
Your needle pokes through the hole, goes in, then out—thread sliding swiftly in the path you've carved out for it.
"I'm not sure what you mean, Imelda," You try to deflect her inquisitive nature. She rolls her eyes.
"It's just–" She pauses to readjust her position, leaning forward to rest her arms on her knees—she eyes you with keen interest. "I'm truly amazed how you've gone 3 years with him."
You glance up at her with furrowed eyebrows. "Stop speaking ill of Ominis."
Imelda lets out a loud laugh at your response. "And you even dare to defend him? Are you sure you're not dumb?"
You forcefully drop your sewing tools on your lap as you heave a sigh at her words. You turn to face her fully. "What do you want?"
"Why stay?" She responds, direct. She takes another bite of the apple.
There's a momentary pause of silence as the question rings in your mind. You had half a mind to just drop the conversation and leave but some part of you somehow wanted to defend yourself.
"He's just Ominis. He's always been like that," You respond, chest puffed in self-proclaimed confidence. "We grew up together. We're promised for each other. That's all I need—"
A sudden burst of laughter from Imelda catches you off guard. You flinch in surprise as you watch the brunette Slytherin double down in laughter. Somehow, the clawing feeling inside you becomes more prominent with each giggle and huff from the woman's lips. Your nail begins to scratch at the skin of your thumb.
"H-Holy shit," Imelda sighs in laughter, brushing off a stray tear. She giggles a few more times before finally settling down with a smile. "You're worse than I thought."
She tilts her head with a condescending look on her face.
"Have you ever seen him with the twins? Alone?" She asks. That sets off wave after wave of uncomfortable thumping within your chest. You let out a shaky breath. "I suppose you don't because you're always so focused on your dearest fiance—Actually, y'know! If you just tried to properly look at him. Maybe, just maybe, you'd finally get a grasp of yourself."
Your jaw clenches and palms sweat.
"Stop it." You try to get a hold of yourself. To take control of the situation and get a grip on your thoughts that seem to get more and more chaotic as time passes. However, despite your tries, Imelda overpowers you once more.
"Y/N," She leans forward to rest her arms on the wooden surface of the table. "Maybe, you don't know much about him at all."
Your eyes are locked on hers at the prompt of her words. You can't bring yourself to deny despite the flurry of emotions bursting within you. She tilts her head and gives you a sympathetic look.
You walked out with no response.
On your 5th year, the presence of a new student shook the halls of Hogwarts.
It was uncommon, of course, that a wizard would get admitted at such a late year and while the idea of a new 5th year would turn a few heads in curiosity, this was not the only source of attention.
Over the course of the first few days back to school, you hear talks of the new 5th year's incredible feats of surviving against a dragon attack. There were exaggerations, of course, and different variants of the story with how widespread the gossip had reached, but it all reached the same conclusion at the end.
This new girl had already made her mark as a formidable wizard.
You admired her at first, wanting to know how she did it and what brought on such circumstances. However, there was a slight uncomfortable nagging deep within the depths of your heart at your first meeting. While you felt regretful of such impression despite her kind deportment, you still felt uneasy at the arrival of her presence.
It was probably partly because of Anne's leave of absence since the start of your 5th year. Sebastian was quite privy to the details concerning Anne's sudden absence. You knew she was sick, but other than that, you were quite left in the dark. You convinced yourself that maybe Sebastian feels conflicted when talking about it, and his sudden avoidance of you bringing up the topic proves a testament to that. However, you've seen him and Ominis on the train when you came back after getting refreshments. You've seen Ominis give him a comforting hug—an affection you've barely received from him if there was any at all. You've seen Sebastian tap Ominis to stop talking whenever you enter the room.
People tend to have that misconception that you're awfully unaware of your surroundings due to you being characterized as a 'pushover.' You knew that your bond with Ominis or Sebastian was way different than what they had for each other. You knew it and chose not to dwell too much on the semantics. You'd rather focus on Ominis. On being the person he deserves.
This was solidified when Sebastian began including her in your lunch hangouts.
You were unfortunate enough to be separated from Sebastian and Ominis for your Potions lecture. You had to scour across the castle just to get with them for lunch. They were usually at the same place—lounging around in the Defense against the Dark Arts Tower or the Undercroft.
This time, however, you were finding it quite hard to spot the two.
"Look," Lydia Parkinson, a Ravenclaw from your year, twirls the cup of drink in her hand as she lazily looks up at you due to the lulling atmosphere of the afternoon. "Maybe you could just have lunch with us. Just saying."
Seated beside Lydia is Ren Aries, your potions seatmate (also a Ravenclaw). She has rumored romantic ties with Sebastian, which brought you to their spot in the Great Hall in the first place. Who else would know Ominis's best friend better than you?
Your eyes turn to Ren, who merely rests her chin on her palm propped up by her elbow on the table. "Don't look at me."
"You're basically dating!" You whine, hands grabbing on your books tighter. "Of course, you know where he is."
"No, we're not." Ren answers swiftly.
"Wrong." Lydia raises a breadstick and accusingly points it at Ren.
"Is she talking to you? I don't think so." Ren swats her hand away, causing the breadstick to fly across the table and into a group of first years. The three of you immediately turn your heads, not willing to face the confused glances on their faces.
Just as the first years begin to mind their own business, Lydia begins to lean in with pursed lips. "Well, I might've heard that the two left the Great Hall with the new fifth—"
Suddenly a loud slap intercepts her words. You flinch back at the sudden movement, watching as Lydia rubs her arm as she crumples over the table. Ren sends a glare toward Lydia before turning to you with a half-lidded stare.
"Don't mind her. She's delirious after drinking the pumpkin juice." Ren intercepts easily, not minding her best friend wincing beside her. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion.
"I heard what she said?'
"No you didn't."
"I mean ..." You trailed off, eyes glancing between the two. "I just heard her say the new fifth year."
There's an uncomfortable silence as the two gaze at you with an unreadable stare. Somehow, this gaze seems quite familiar. You've seen it from Imelda, from Anne during your short moments together, and now these two. A budding stem of annoyance begins to grow in your skin.
"Why are you looking at me like that? They're probably just hanging out." You shrug it off like you've always had. It is no use fretting over such simple matters.
"Sure they are—" Lydia chuckles before Ren sends a nudge to her ribs. The redhead merely groans and grabs at the edge of the table. You look at her in concern.
"As I said, delirious." Ren lightly curls the corners of her lips to give you a polite smile. There's a pause of silence before Ren sighs—eyes gazing with an unreadable expression on her face. Your fingers twitch at its familiarity.
"They're in the Undercroft, Y/N." She says, nodding slightly. There's a slight hesitance to her tone of response as if telling you where they were wasn't something she was supposed to be doing. "Sebastian dropped by our table to tell me that, just in case I wanted to join."
Sebastian referred to Ren. Just in case she wanted to join. You wanted to ask if Ominis at least told her to tell you, but you're too much of a coward to do that.
You couldn't will yourself to look at her eyes, afraid that you might finally recognize the emotion that lingers in the depths of her mind. You suppose the inquisitive and empathetic nature of Ravenclaw runs deep within Ren's blood.
You nod as a thanks and left without a word.
You hear laughter first. Your footsteps halt at the archway of the Undercroft—breath faltering as your eyes find the familiar tufts of blonde you've grown to love over the years.
Normally, you would've already bounced over to him, reveling in his attention no matter how negative or neutral it might appear. You would've teased him and wormed your way into his arms.
However, things were quite different from where you were standing.
You hadn't had the opportunity to meet the new 5th year. You only relied on hushed whispers and murmurs across the halls of Hogwarts just to get a glimpse of what she was actually like. You take slow steps towards the source of laughter, eyes trained on their figures—smiles, and gleeful expressions plastered on their faces.
You're caught off guard by the unfamiliar presence of the new fifth year—hair as dark as midnight with a touch of silver strands that decorate the front of her hair like the stars that litter the sky. She's as pretty as they say, as radiant as they whispered about, and evokes the aura of a true born wizard.
However, the true reason for her shock lies in the fact that Ominis—the man she'd known to be stoic, unmoving, and unphased, was laughing. Ominis was laughing.
"Oh, Y/N." It's Sebastian who notices you first. You flinched at the greeting, watching as the other two paused—the new fifth year turning towards you with wide curious eyes, and Ominis subtly turned his head away from you. Your breath hitches at his actions. Sebastian awkwardly glances between the two of you. "I think this is the first time you actually met Nora. Nora, this is Y/N Rosier. Y/N, this is Nora Finley."
Nora waves at you with a smile. "Hi Y/N. Hope you don't mind me intruding."
"None at all." You reply eyes glancing at Ominis who continues to have his back towards you. You decide to continue the conversation. "I was looking for you guys. I thought we were going to have lunch."
"Oh," Sebastian scratches the back of his head, hesitantly glancing at Ominis who continuously remains silent and indifferent. "We already had lunch. Sorry."
You slowly nod in an understanding, a stiff smile plastered on your face.
"That was because you were too hungry to wait," Nora intercepts with joking shove. "Apologies, Y/N. I didn't know they were waiting for someone else."
Your finger twitches slightly at her words. "It's fine."
"I was waiting for Ren! Ominis was just being an asshole." Sebastian defends himself which earns a slap on the arm from Nora. Then, you suddenly hear Ominis speak up.
"Not my fault you were actually coward enough to not go to her yourself," Ominis says. This earns a laugh from Nora who bumps her shoulders against Ominis. "I had to pull you over." The three laugh at the situation at hand, faces plastered with glee and comfort.
So Ominis was there, with Ren and the others. Yet no one thought of telling you where they were. An anxious heavy feeling settles over your chest.
Suddenly, you feel out of place. Your ears ring, zoning out, as their motion becomes more distorted in your eyes. You feel as though you shouldn't be here—that you're the one intruding instead. The ache overwhelms you.
Your feet shuffle a few steps back. "I-I'll get going." You say, voice weak as you announce your departure. Sebastian gives you a moment's glance before nodding. Nora gives you a big wave (you feel bad, she's too much of an angel). However another reason piles onto your aching heart—mind in a daze as it beats fast with anxiety.
Ominis had not once acknowledge your presence.
You leave with your dignity intact.
Seeing Nora is now a regular occurrence.
You didn't mind it at first. You liked the girl. She was a social butterfly, easy to talk to, and her presence brought comfort whenever she was around. You couldn't argue the comfortable nature of Sebastian and Ominis around her. While you were also a generally talkative and social person, it still varied among your peers. Your personality often ventures between the lines of introvert and extrovert—only becoming active to a certain amount of people, and silent to the rest.
However, despite your positive impression on Nora, there was also the case between her and Ominis. You've seen them hanging about in various points of the castle. Even going out together when they leave classes. You haven't had much alone time to spend with Ominis as he somehow begins to become more non-approachable and cold as days pass by. Somehow, he becomes more indifferent than before.
Back then, Ominis indulges in your whims despite his initial opposition. You suppose it's probably to get you to stop, but he had always listened—one way or another. Now, he merely leaves without a word—cutting you off mid-talk and bouncing off to Nora who had just entered the room.
Your heart begins to waver and your breath speeds up. You couldn't deny the hurt that flows through you with each indifferent response of your fiance. Your fiance. He was yours as much as you were his.
So why does it feel like you're the one intruding?
"What do you think we should get Anne, Omi?" You smile, siding up to Ominis whose hands run through the braille engraved on his book. "Do you think we should get her some scented candles?"
"Anne has a sensitive nose." Ominis furrows his eyebrows before slightly tilting his head towards you. "Didn't you know that?"
"I did!" You respond with a defensive tone. Of course, you did. Anne was your friend. "I was going to buy her those simple scented candles. Just to help her with the stress."
Ominis scoffs at your words before going back to reading his book. Just as you inquire a little more about his day, you hear Nora and Sebastian chattering as they reach your spot. You were about to greet them when you felt Ominis nudge your hold away from his arm. You flinch at its intensity as he rises from his seat to walk towards the two—specifically in Nora's direction.
Your heart thumps loudly against your chest, knocking against your ribs like an ache you can't explain. You sit silently, eyes watching as they chatter amongst themselves. The looming realization begins to crawl under your skin, chipping at you—limb from limb. Your breath falters.
"Y/N!" Nora greets like the angel that she is. You smile back, albeit forced and hesitant but welcomed her warmth with open arms. She slides up to you, before calling over the two. They follow with ease. You feel Nora's arm intertwine with yours, thumbing the cloth of your robe.
Just as the two have finally settled down, Nora begins the conversation. "I'm glad you don't have DADA with these two. It's always a chaos."
You nod, still quite perplexed by the whole situation. "Really?"
"Please, Nora." Sebastian teases, arms propped on the table. "Just say you're mad that I beat you at a duel."
"Throwing a ragged cloth to my face before casting a Levioso isn't a win that you think it is." Ominis intercepts with a disappointed shake of his head.
"Blah, blah. Looks like a skill issue to me." Sebastian leans back, arms crossed over his chest. He rolls his eyes playfully. "Life isn't fair on the battlefield, Finley."
Nora turns to you with a scrunched nose. "Are you really friends with these guys?"
You find yourself pausing at her question. Thankfully, she laughs afterward, pulling tease after teasing towards Sallow. The question begins to etch into your brain as your mind conjured every possible interaction you had with Sebastian. Was he even your friend? You remember the silence and the awkward tensions whenever Ominis had to go to the bathroom or get called up by Professor Weasley. Even before then, when Anne was present in your little group of 4, the twins were always stuck to the hip, if not with Ominis. Never the three of you alone together.
Never with you.
You suppose Imelda was right. Blinded by the idea and concept of love through duty, you unintentionally neglected the possible ties that you could've had with the twins. You felt helpless.
"Oh, yeah. Before I forget, what are we getting Anne this weekend?"
Your head turn towards Nora in surprise. "You're coming?"
There's a momentary pause at your question. You wouldn't have minded it before, but now you feel the stares clawing at your skin.
"Of course, she is." Ominis replies with a tone of disbelief. "Don't be ridiculous."
"She hasn't met Anne, though? I don't think—"
"Don't speak for my sister, Y/N." Sebastian cuts through the tension with an offhanded response. You turn towards him in surprise. Nora shifts uncomfortably beside you. "We already planned this. Let's just go with it."
"You didn't tell me anything?" You're not sure as to why your voice suddenly begins to rise. Your hands clench under the table.
"My bad?" Sebastian shakes his head in confusion, as if he's the one incovenienced. "Listen up, next time then? Instead of you know—ogling Ominis, all the time?"
"Sebastian!" Nora calls out, perplexed at the sudden hostility. The brown-haired Slytherin merely turns his head away. A dreadful feeling submerges over your body as you glance at Ominis who sports an indifferent look in his face. There's a paused silence before Sebastian stands from his seat.
"Where are you going?" Nora asks, worried.
"Out. I'm floo-ing to Hogsmeade for the gift. Catch up if you guys want to." Sebastian mumbles in response. He leaves abruptly, robe trailing behind him.
Just as you were about to turn to Ominis, he stands up. "Omi?"
"You should've known better." Ominis mutters. Your breath hitches at his words. He follows through with Sebastian. Your hand clenches into a fist.
"Y/N," Nora grasps at your arm with slight comfort. You couldn't be mad at her even if you wanted to. "Are you okay?"
Your head is lowered, hair framing your face as you try to gather your emotions. You then turn towards her with a smile you've practiced from your childhood days.
"I'm fine."
The silence was unbearable.
You're not sure when was the last time you and Ominis were seated together in a room, alone—much less the receiving room of your manor. You can feel the nervousness clawing up your throat. Your mother had persisted on the two of you visiting the manor during your winter break. You wanted to accept the invitation at first, seeing as this was an opportunity to spend time with Ominis.
But seeing the disdain on his face as soon as you told him the news, somehow regret only fills your body. You had no choice either way.
"Is Hogwarts treating you well?" Your mother sips her tea with the elegance fitting for her role as the matriarch of the house. You shift in your seat, uneasy from her attention.
"Well enough," Ominis answers from your side. His face lacks the enthusiasm of talking to your family.
Your mother furrows her eyebrows at the response but doesn't say anything regardless. "I do hope you're both preparing for your engagement once you graduate in 2 years. Merlin knows how much both of our families have prepared for it."
You nod submissively, unable to resist the pointed stare your mother gives you. Ominis stands abruptly at her words, not opting to pardon himself as he walks out of the room. There's paused silence before your mother scoffs.
"Insolent child," She seethes, taking a sip out of her cup. "If it weren't for his family name and heritage, we would've found you a more suitable heir to marry. Merlin knows his family's treating him like a dispensable asset, when his brother's already married and up to take the role as head of the house."
You sit silently, eyes focused on the untouched cup of tea. Your mother's voice booms through the room, causing you to flinch at its sudden intensity.
"Go after him, Y/N. Beg on your knees if you have to. Keep him tied to the leash before he goes off pawing at others." Your mother orders. "Your sister's a testament to that. Do I make myself clear?"
Your mother's word was law. Everyone in the house knew that. Even your father, who is recognized as the head of the house. She easily controls those around her to do her bidding, and those who resist are met with dire consequences. You'd rather be by her side than against her blade.
"Yes, mother."
You found him by the courtyard.
Your family dog, an Alpine Mastiff that was gifted for your father by a collector of muggle creature, pants against his lap—enjoying the gentle caresses that Ominis runs through his fur. He sits against the huge tree in the middle, the leaves giving his face a gentle shade from the light. You make careful steps before standing in front of him.
"Feeling lethargic, Omi?" You smile. The dog, Xavier, looks up at you with its sleepy eyes before yawning against Ominis's touch.
"I told you to stop calling me that." He replies, eyes devoid of emotion. He merely runs back and forth Xavier's fur as if its stimulation calms his nerves.
"You never allow me to call you anything." You retort, voice calm as you look down at him with a forlorn expression. He doesn't need to know that.
Ominis shakes his head, a sarcastic smile on his lips. "That's because we're not friends."
You purse your lips before responding. "If you say stuff like that, I'll get hurt, Omi."
Ominis chuckles. "You've bound me to your chains, made me a spectacle with your jokes, and you're worried about getting hurt over the truth?"
You stared at him as he continues to pet the massive dog on his lap. You've gone through this routine before, and you'll go through it again. Why get hurt now?
There's a miniscule pause of silence before you let out a laugh at his words. "So touchy with everything, Omi. You really hate me that much?"
It's a joke. Don't take it to heart.
"Yes," He answers with no hesitation, face devoid of any emotion. He finally looks up and its as if those beautiful cloudy blue eyes could stare through you. "Yes, I do."
It's not true.
You've observed Ominis enough to know what he's thinking.
As much as others regarded him as an intimidating figure, he quite wears his heart on his sleeve. You know when he's angry, when he's joking, being sarcastic, sad, or whatever version of Ominis you're facing for the day. You didn't spend 8 years of your life loving him just for you to not recognize every detail on his face.
You've known him well enough to recognize patterns on his behavior, subtle differences to his emotions, and his current mood of the day. If anything, you're well versed in Ominis's body language, that you've grown well accustomed to how you act around him based on it.
That's why besides you're being hit with two realities, instead of one.
You've watched them from across the hall, chatting up a storm as the three of them were huddled in the corner. You've long since opted to observing them rather than being in the group itself, and ever since then, you've begin noticing things you weren't supposed to.
"What's got you looking so focused there?" Imelda's voice reaches your senses as a figure settles beside you. You give her a glance before looking back at the trio. She hums, following your line of sight. "Looking at your asshole of a lover boy again?"
"Don't I ever?" You sarcastically remark, laughing slightly. Imelda looks at you with a slight raise of her eyebrow.
"Wow," She nods. "That's improvement. You don't make sarcastic remarks when I point out your obsession with white boy over there."
You glance at her, heaving a breath as you contemplated letting Imelda know of your thoughts as of late. You suppose that she's the only person who has been real with you since the start. Everything's been a blur since your visit with Ominis to your manor. You've been trying your hardest to appear normal but things had just gone way off. You've started to distance yourself as well, only responding when asked or talked to—which most of the case is Nora's doing. Though, with Sebastian's constant needs for adventure and Nora's inquisitive nature, she had also lost the attention towards your interaction with the group.
With Ominis, you knew well enough that wherever Nora and Sebastian went, he went to as well. You've seen the three of them flee the Great Hall, not minding your lack of presence to the group. 4 years as a group of friends and 8 years with Ominis, and they haven't had a single thought about you that passed through their minds.
You suppose you should've gotten used to their exclusion to your presence. You're partly aware that this is due to the engagement between you and Ominis, how much he despises the centuries-old tradition of marrying those of the same stature as he is. How much he detests the forced nature of your relationship. You wished you had the power to null it, to start over, and meet him under different circumstances. To dream of a reality where he actually finds love in you, and wishes for a future with you in it.
But alas, life is hard for someone like you. To hold so much authority within your fingertips but be shackled by tradition and generational trauma. You've long accepted your demise.
"Ominis likes Nora." The words slips out of your mouth with ease. Like what you just said was something out of the news. Imelda chokes at what she hears. You look at her with concern.
"E-excuse me?"
"Ominis likes Nora." You repeat calmly. Imelda sweatdrops, moving to stand in front of you as she analyzed your facial expression.
"You're saying that like it's the weather—are you okay?" She asks, worried.
You shrug, eyes looking down at your twiddling thumbs. "It's inevitable. Everyone knows about it, no?"
Imelda pauses, face cringing as she places her hands on her hips. You chuckle at the silent admission. "I'm always a bit too late."
"Look, Y/N," She sighs, taking a step forward as she places a hand on your arm. "Ominis was doomed to be your fiance from the start. He's an asshole and just overall rude! You've got nothing much to lose anyway!"
Your tongue darts out to lick your bottom lip before pulling between your teeth. "I do. That's not how it works, Imelda."
You glance up at her, finally meeting her concerned eyes. She lets out a breath at your forlorn expression.
"I always knew Ominis didn't like what we had. I've spent most of my childhood years with him to not know the familiarity of his disdain." You reply. You recall the times you've received cold and indifferent actions from him. "He's made himself clear. I was always the one who wanted more."
"Y/N," Imelda sighs.
"I don't think Ominis ever considered me to be someone dear to him," You whispered. "I had always been something he easily cast aside. A nuisance—I've seen the way he whispers to Sebastian whenever I've said something they considered out of line. I was never something he deemed important."
Imelda is silent. You heave a sigh.
"He's happy now." You mutter. "Nora's everything I'm not, and even if I wanted to hate her, despise her—she's so pure and likeable that it's so unfair. Why is it so unfair?"
You feel tears well in your eyes. Imelda's breath hitches at the sight. She looks around, trying to see if anyone was watching. She then hears the familiar voices of the three. Soon enough she sees them walking over to pass by their area. Imelda did what she could only think of.
She pulls her off her robe before throwing it over your head, shielding you from their stares. She pulls you in her arms as the three near towards you. You couldn't see a thing but you could hear them.
"... Imelda?" Sebastian's voice comes out as confused, probably because of her hooded figure. "What's up?"
"Hey!" Imelda smiles, hands making gentle pats to your back. "Friend's not feeling well. Hope you don't mind."
There's pause of silence before Ominis responds. You feel your heart speed up. "Ah, hope they'll feel better."
"They hear that quite well!" Imelda responds with enthusiasm. You slump against her hold, feeling lethargic from thinking.
"Alright, we'll get going." Sebastian waves before the two follow them off. Just as the three of them began to make their way down the hall, you hear Nora suddenly backtrack.
"Ah, by the way, if you do see Y/N around, tell her that Professor Weasley's asking for her?" Nora says. Your body freezes and its as if Imelda had felt it as she had pulled you closer.
"S-sure." Imelda responds. The three of them began to go on their way, chatting and laughing as they disappear down the hall.
Imelda finally pulls her robe off you, eyes filled with concern. "Y/N ..."
"They knew I wasn't around," You mumble, breath trembling, and eyes devoid of emotion. "They knew. He knew."
Imelda raises a hand to fix your hair before smiling. "There's nothing much I can say that will be of help, but I do hope that you'll take care of yourself—Of what you'll do from here on out."
You pause at her words before nodding silently.
The realization settles in and its heartbreaking and grueling. However, despite that, things haven't been much clearer than before. You'll set things right. For him. For yourself.
Because love is your greatest weakness, no? Your greatest threat. Love for him, and love for your family.
Whichever will prevail?
A/N: before yall ask, yes this will have a part 2 ... i just really wanted to finish this and it went beyond what ive planned. stay tuned mwehe!!! this will not have a happy ending btw. the title daffodil's camellia is in reference to their meaning in love. daffodil can mean new beginnings but it can also mean unrequited love, camellia means romantic love or devotion. just wanted to let yall know that!

what descendants 4 would have been if i was given free reign
okay so idek if there’s a descendants community on here but i just have to get my ideas out SOMEWHERE bc the wonderland stuff had so much potential but disney just went such a bizarre direction with d4. like what even was that time travel plot. this was partly inspired by dylanisintrouble’s incorrect assumption in his reaction vid that it would be abt a group of wonderland kids bc that’s exactly what should have happened!! let me elaborate
fun fact this was written while i was getting torn to shreds on tiktok for my descendants song rankings but ANYWAYS
i’m keeping it realistic to what disney could have done, as in no cameos of the og cast that isn’t already in the movie. ofc in a perfect world we’d get more with those characters, but after cameron’s passing i’m respecting their wishes to not be in more descendants movies without him.
things i’m keeping the same:
the cast is p much the same except characters i have to cut since i’m scrapping the time travel aspect. cinderella and charming were basically the best parts of that movie to me bc i love their original cinderella so yeah we are ABSOLUTELY keeping that. and the cast is v talented they just got an ass script not their fault
red & chloe are still two of the main characters but i’m adding a third too (we’ll get there) and they’re basically unchanged personality/backstory wise
the whole beginning up through red’s song is basically unchanged. uma’s still in charge and invites wonderland kids to auradon prep, except in this case it’s more than just the one
the queen of hearts/cinderella backstory is somewhat the same; they were friends in school and then there was a prank that caused the queen of hearts to become the tyrant we now know. we get this knowledge through further exposition in love ain’t it
okay and that’s literally it LMAOO let’s get into the characters now
the main three
so as i mentioned two of the main characters are still red and chloe basically unchanged from d4. so the third mc is, and i feel genius for this…. bridget!! but an oc version, not as the young queen of hearts. hear me out. pretty much everyone seems to agree young bridget was such a fun character and loves her, myself included, so i had to find a way to make her an mc. in my plot, she’s red’s sister! either twin sister or irish twins idrk either works, but i will be calling them the twins in this post. she’d realistically have a different name but in order to not cause confusion i’m going to keep calling her bridget in this post. she has the same personality and appearance as the movie, except she also has a bit of blind loyalty towards her mom, unlike red. she’s a sweetheart and hates the idea of hurting people, but she’ll do basically anything outside of that for her mother. she also has such an intense need to be liked that she’ll sometimes do things against her morals or ignore red flags — as seen with her mom. she and red do love each other but there’s still a lot of disconnect in their relationship because of their different dynamics with the queen of hearts and how different they are.
the other wonderland kids
so just like the og descendants movie, i would have it be four kids. obviously the two girls would be the twins, and then i would also add the mad hatter’s son and alice’s son. i would keep the mad hatter’s son kinda similar to the one we see in the movie, except he’s red’s age and more eccentric. i’m keeping his name maddox as well but we’d have to recast since the actor is a bit too old. he and red are still good friends and he tries to have her back and keep her out of danger like in the movie. unlike in the movie though maddox is a lot more fun and unique. he’s still more grounded than his father, but he was boring af in the movie for the mad hatter’s kid so he’d be more vibrant in my version. he’s the comic relief. i named alice’s son alex and he’s kind of what you’d expect — very curious and eccentric but still kind and smart. ppl get annoyed with him because he’s always asking loads of questions. he’s close with bridget.
the side characters
okay so admittedly this is probably where i put in the least thought lmao i don’t really have parentage/names for anyone here. but i want there to be a relevant vk kid who’s kind to the wonderland squad just to remind fans that the vks are still here and not all bad. but they would befriend maddox and alex in particular and it could be a fun little c plot. and then on the flip side the “villain” character is actually the kid of hero characters. it’d have to be someone more unpopular of course, maybe like a side character or something. but this character pretends to be friends with the wonderland kids, specifically bridget, but is only doing it to make fun of them with her friends. but these characters would expand on the original movies concept that you aren’t your parents yk.
the parents
i wouldn’t really change the parents much if at all! the casting is great but they’d be seen a little bit less in their adult forms & we wouldn’t see their young self at all. as for the mad hatter and alice, idk if we’d even see them but if we do it’s a very brief cameo like in the first descendants.
okay actual plot time!! lmao
so like i said the first part of the movie up to red’s song is basically going to be unchanged. uma decides to invite the wonderland kids to auradon prep, specifically selecting the twins, maddox, and alex to be the first four to be invited. the first song is unchanged it’s still red. maddox still ends up saving red’s ass but the scene is more comedic relief than anything with maddox’s changed character. we then get a bridget introduction with a brief interlude of life is sweeter (the full song would be later in the movie but i don’t want too many full songs clumped at once) that shows the differences between the two sisters. we would then cut to auradon to meet chloe, and that sequence is basically the same too.
the queen of hearts enters in the next scene, announcing the invitations to the twins. we also get a similar scene as in the actual movie of the queen trying to get red to decide on a punishment for the guard and refusing to kill him. she then tries the same with bridget, who also wants to save the man’s life, but tries to appease her mother by kind of talking in circles about why him being alive is somehow worse punishment. she begs her mom to let her to something else to make her happy but she doesn’t want to hurt someone. this is clearly a recurring pattern with the twins and their mom. the queen is disappointed in both girls and expresses this, but it clearly bothers bridget more outwardly than red.
we’d then cut into the love ain’t it song just for exposition purposes. in this version it would be a cut between the queen warning the twins about auradon and cinderella explaining some of the wonderland lore to chloe after getting news of the wonderland kids attending auradon. so they’re not at the school yet, meaning chloe hasn’t met red or anything. lyric changes would be necessary but the purpose is the same. the song establishes that the queen and cinderella used to be best friends as two outcasts at the school, but at a school dance a cruel prank got pulled on the queen, causing her to drop out and leave to wonderland. the queen didn’t used to be some sweet innocent like we saw in the movie, but she was less jaded according to cinderella.
the scene then cuts to a new day when the queen of hearts has decided to let the twins attend auradon. they have to leave right away. she’s come up with a grand plan on using her girls as spies to get information on auardon so she can plan a takeover. she doesn’t follow them to the school or try to take over immediately bc in what world would one person be able to solo an entire school of powerful magic users. i get she’s unhinged but no. bridget is immediately willing, relieved to have a task from her mother that doesn’t result in her having to directly hurt someone, while red clearly is uncomfortable with the idea but doesn’t say anything to her mom. the queen leaves to go fetch maddox and alex to allow them to attend auradon as well to cover for the twins. the idea is that while bridget and red are snooping around, maddox and alex will be actually innocent to cover it up. but the queen insists they can’t know of the plan. red and bridget have an argument about spying, red saying they shouldn’t enable her but bridget arguing that the queen is their mom. it’s clear bridget is kind of in denial that she’d still be contributing harm even if she’s not being directly violent. it establishes that bridget is a genuinely good person in most ways but is way too loyal to her mother and makes excuses she shouldn’t for her.
the twins fight gets interrupted by them having to leave to auradon so it’s left unresolved. the four wonderland kids go to auradon alone, like in the first descendants movie. they have a similarly awkward meeting with the other students, but instead of being seen as evil/scary, the students seem to think they’re bizarre. alex is asking 101 questions without taking a breath, maddox is trying to make jokes/observations but is just sounding kind of out of his mind, and bridget is so overexcited it makes people uneasy. red originally seems like the most normal, so chloe approaches her trying to befriend her. red shoots that down immediately, and the girls have an instant distaste for each other. instead of people being scared of the wonderland kids, people just think they’re weird/outcasts.
there’s scenes that establish that bridget is giving the queen of hearts actual helpful information to help a potential takeover — including very useful information about the museum when they take a class trip there. red, on the other hand, is instead giving her mother vague/partially true information with some flat out lies sprinkled in. she doesn’t want to cause her mother to flip out again, but she doesn’t want to help her either. with her experience rebelling against her mom, she’s able to not get caught in her actions. red and bridget argue about the spying throughout the movie.
despite their awkward first meeting, red and chloe keep getting paired up for things and continue to get on each other’s nerves. chloe also begins to get suspicious that red is planning something with her mother after hearing stories from cinderella. there’s probably a song here about their arguing. chloe thinks bridget is sweet and doesn’t suspect her, but continues to question red’s motives which is beyond infuriating for her since bridget’s the one actually spying. but she can’t say that and expose her sister because despite their disagreements they still have love for each other. perfect start for a rivals to frenemies to lovers arc if you ask me 👀 if we’re being real disney would tell me to go fuck myself with that but i said it’s MYYY descendants 4 so there is a lot of clear romantic tension here. small moments like red getting distracted mid insult by how pretty chloe looks that day or chloe complimenting red’s outfit without thinking. just little things to establish attraction but they still dislike each other on principle.
unlike red, the other wonderland kids are starting to find some friends at auradon despite seeming so odd on first meeting. red and bridget are naturally suspicious at first that people’s motives aren’t genuine after their mother’s story. bridget is actually the one that caved first though, as she is desperate for real friends and wants to fit in. maddox and alex bond with one of the vk’s who is also a bit of an outcast and that’s a c plot of the movie but i don’t have many concrete ideas for them since i’m focusing on the 3 girls mostly. but just know that’s happening! lol. eventually bridget gets paired up with a character well call “the bully” for a class assignment (as chloe and red are somehow paired up — again). bridget goes out of her way to be nice to this girl but isn’t getting anything in return. at the end of the class, there’s a scene of the bully talking with one of her friends and complaining about bridget. the friend suggests that the bully pretend to be bridget’s friend since it’s funny to make fun of her. the bully ends up inviting bridget to eat lunch with her friend group, and they pretend to like her just to laugh at her. bridget doesn’t pick up on this though. red tries to warn bridget against them, but bridget thinks she’s just being paranoid/jealous and ignores her. she has such a deep need to be liked that she ignores the red flags. this is also when bridget starts to question following her mother’s orders, but doesn’t tell red.
red is starting to feel like an outcast even among the wonderland kids with the others making friends. there’s a scene where maddox forgets about plans they had because his was with his new vk friend and they have a little spat over it. they end up making up within a few scenes though and maddox encourages red to try hanging out with him, alex, and their new friend. despite this she refuses to cave and let other people into her circle. oddly enough the person she probably talks to the most during this time is chloe.
the bully ends up learning about the prank that was pulled on the queen of hearts by overhearing the fairy godmother talking about it with another teacher. the other teacher is questioning putting on castlecoming out of concern it will be seen as an act of aggression to her daughters. but the fairy godmother insists on it continuing. the bully ends up devising a plan to make bridget castlecoming queen (or maybe a different title since there’s an actual queen lol but same idea) and turn her into a gross beast in front of everyone. it’s the same prank that happened to bridget’s mom.
as bridget believes she’s making genuine friends, she starts to consider how her actions will actually affect them. shes been feeling guilty the whole time but there’s a ballad here where it all comes to a head and she admits that even if she’s not the one swinging the sword, by spying she’s still putting the sword in her mother’s hands. she stops spying for her mom and starts ignoring her letters. she doesn’t have experience rebelling like red, so she doesn’t think to do what her sister does to avoid suspicion. it’s a moment of character growth. bridget tells red that she’s stopped spying, and red expresses how proud she is and they make up.
so in this movie, we actually get to SEE castlecoming bc why the fuck wouldn’t we!!!! we see all the characters in their outfits getting excited — even red is a bit giddy due to maddox joking with her and hyping her up. in the bathroom at the dance, chloe overhears the bully talking about her plan to prank bridget just like her mom was pranked all those years ago. she tries to warn bridget, but she runs into red instead. she tells red what she heard and the girls reluctantly team up to stop the prank. red gets maddox’s help too, but alex is with bridget all night and they aren’t able to tell him either. they keep either losing bridget in the crowd or being blocked by the bully’s friends. at one point red gets up to her sister and tries to pull her away to talk. bridget wants to go with her sister, but has to leave before red can explain everything because she got called up on stage as part of castlecoming court. red tries to run after her but gets blocked by the bully’s friends. she gets into an altercation with them, but maddox jumps in and the two of them together manage to win.
everything comes to a head when bridget is on stage being crowned castlecoming queen. the sad part is most people voted for her in earnest because she’s a sweet girl, but they ended up leading to her being humiliated on accident. red and chloe both corner the bully who has a spell book. maddox is trying to keep the bully’s friends distracted. unfortunately, chloe and red are just a second too late and the bully casts the spell before they can intervene. the bully then drops the book and manages to escape before anyone else sees it was them since everyone is watching the prank play out. it’s a carrie type moment but without all the murder obviously lmao. more just like vibes idk if that makes sense. as people are looking around to see who did it, someone locates the spell book right by red and chloe’s feet. as the fairy godmother hastily tries to undo the spell, someone yells out that it was chloe and red that did it. the girls start to panic and accuse the bully, but it’s too late because the evidence points to them. the bully of course jumps on this and goes to console bridget while declaring how evil red must be to betray her sister like this, and how hypocritical chloe is by pretending to be so high and mighty. maddox tries to defend them but it’s no use. in her anguish, bridget believes the bully. the movie ends with everyone in chaos and the sisters truly divided.
maybe there’d be a scene of the queen of hearts crashing castlecoming and seeing what went down but idk i kind of want the prank to be the climax of the movie yk. her shenanigans would come at a different time
in my head i also have the sequel for this written out LMAOO. that movie it would be about red and chloe trying to clear their names and catch the bully, while also trying to figure out how to stop bridget from helping her mother attack auradon (bc bridget would def align with her mom again after what happened). not that anyone is gonna read this mess of a post but i might write up the sequel anyways bc this was sooo much fun lmao

It's Not Me, It's My Basement
Explained
⚠️ WARNING ⚠️
This Post Contains Soilers Following the First Paragraph.
Proceed with Caution.
That's right! It's Halloween time, my favorite holiday ever, and I'm back at it again with the semi-extensive theory posts. This time I'm tackling something in one of my favorite genre of media -- Horror RPG Maker Games.
Last night I experienced an adorable, eerie little game called It's Not Me, It's My Basement.
Developed by arcadekitten, the incredibly short-&-sweet story follows a non-binary child named Embry G. Oliver who is hiding a horrible monster in their basement. Although they didn't see it for themselves, they believe that the monster ate their parents, and Embry now feeds it whatever they can so that it doesn't attempt to eat them too. Unfortunately, as the story progresses it appears that the more the monster eats, the stronger and hungrier it becomes...
The story then begins to reach its climax when Embry visits the market to find a traveling doctor in town. Since Embry has been telling the villagers that their parents are bedridden sick, they're forced to meet Dr. D. Light (who is acutely of his punny name) and take him back home. Dr. D. is incredibly kind and helpful, even capable of making Embry trust him enough to open the basement door. However, in an attempt to stop him from descending the stairs to meet the monster, Embry accidentally pushes the Dr to his death. Truly tragic ...
Throughout the entire short story, the monster is never truly seen. However, it does demonstrate its ability to mimic voices and presumably shapeshift, all the while acting mercilessly manipulative. By the ending, that took me entirely by surprise, Embry has a nightmare where they confront the demon and get consumed by it, only to wake up and brazenly descend the basement for real.
And that's it
That's where it ends.
Boom, roll credits.
Now, my intense OCD ass simply can't cope with an ending so sudden and inexplicable, even if it was written incredibly well. In fact, the entire story was cryptic and felt immensely symbolic, steeped so heavily in allusions to depression and guilt that you could serve it at tea-time. So of course, I began to research popular opinions and theorize about what all of it really meant.
Now, the most popular theories (and almost exclusively) are either:
1) Everything is exactly as it's spelled out for you. A monster ate Embry's parents, it can shapeshift and manipulate, and Embry finally gains the courage to confront it instead of running away.
2) Embry actually has a Split Personality, or psychotic alter-ego, which murdered their parents and now the Main Personality of Embry is living with guilt that they don't entirely understand.
3) Something bad happened to Embry's parents that, as a child, Embry cannot understand and the entire story of the game is Embry suffering from traumatic hallucinations.
Obviously, these all have some pretty big flaws. The first theory is simple enough, but relatively uninspired, and feels rather like an insult to the thought put into the nuances of the story. Not to mention, Embry, their parents, and even Dr. D. Light cameo in other arcadekitten games that canonically take place afterwards.
Which farther disproves the second theory, since the characters are all clearly alive and well. Not to mention, as someone with a lot of experience in the field of child trauma and psychological issues, the story really gives no hints whatsoever to Embry potentially having a split personality. Nor does it hint at any potential triggers that would cause them to kill their parents.
And the third theory is the best yet, but still leaves some holes.
So, after careful consideration, I offer you my inspired theory: The Coma Dream.
Perhaps they were in an accident with their parents, like a car crash (or in this world, carriage crash). They were sent into a coma and assumed their parents died based on the sounds they'd heard, since while in a coma they couldn't remember the details of what happened.
Being a child, Embry would have related the sounds they heard during the accident to some sort of monster. Especially if they were asleep when the accident occured.
Within the mysterious subconscious of a coma they could have fabricated a story based on their fears about what really happened and what life would be like without their parents. The heavy theme of guilt and mistakes would even be Embry's immature mind trying to cope with what happened, and feeling like they had done something wrong since they couldn't really understand it all.
Kids have a tendency to blame themselves for things that weren't their fault, simply because they don't understand the situation.
Then of course, facing those fears in the basement is what allows them to wake up.
This even potentially explains Dr. D. Light. Considering Embry's mother was a nurse, as revealed in her cameo in Crowscare, the Dr could be her boss or the family's personal doctor. Someone Embry trusted and liked.
Although Embry acted like they'd only just met the Dr, it isn't unheard of to not entirely recognize (or only subconsciously recognize) someone typically familiar in a dream.
And have you ever had a really intense nightmare where things start to get better, and you think something good might happen and help you, but then your fear and anxiety of something bad ruining it actually causes that to happen in the dream?
Because I have and that would explain why Dr. D was so reassuring only for Embry to panic and push him down the stairs. The more they worried about D getting hurt, the more they thought about what bad could happen, and suddenly those thoughts came to fruition.
Following this theory, after facing the monster in the basement, Embry may have either unlocked their memory about what happened -- a painful, terrifying memory that they were trying to hide -- or perhaps they merely finally gained the courage to wake up from their coma. Either way, when they wake up their parents and Dr. D would be safe and sound, and they could all live together happily again.
Of course, this is only a theory, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
If you're interested in playing the game, you can download it here:

Mild Hexenzirkel Lore Dump/Random Things I’ve noticed in The Mage’s Tea Party vid
So as we all have seen, there is this pretty pretty little image of 8 witches that appear at the start of the video
At first I was going to try to match up each Cameo with a known member, but there really is not enough to go on. Especially considering both Alice and Andersdotter appear to use the Bottom Left Cameo on their teacup and ink bottle respectively.
I could just not be seeing it correctly because they are very small, but it definitely looks like it’s the woman holding her book in both of them, not the two different emblems of witches with books.
Literally no idea what this could mean but now i’m very confused about the point of the 8 emblems at all.😭
NOW TO THE FUN PART
Each member that spoke seemed to have a special little flash of art during Alice’s last little speech.
I’ve included them in the order they appear as she’s speaking. I’m assuming they match up with each member in the order they started speaking in the video. Meaning the first represents Alice, the second represents I. Ivonova N., the third is Rhinedottir, fourth is Andersdottor, and the final one is Barbeloth.
Each painting has a witch motif somewhere, EXCEPT Andersdottor. Keep this in mind
Alice’s is interesting because she is HATLESS, unlike the other witches shown in these paintings. She appears to be gazing at something descending on Teyvat with a giant stack of papers beside her. Maybe she witnessed the Twin’s fall to Teyvat while she up late working on an early edition of the Teyvat travel guide?? who knows.
I. Ivonova N.’s seems straight forward until you realize there is a second witch in the background. This second witch is drawn with a different outline which leads me to believe she could be an illusion of some kind. Maybe the real Ivonova is projecting a fake Ivonova to see if her love will come back?? maybe to see if there’s an assassin after her? again, who knows!
Now Rhinedottir’s had me thinking THOUGHTS. Is Rhinedottir the witch flying by in the background? or the little girl with fierce braids?? I have no idea what kind of conclusions to draw from this.
ANDERSDOTTOR… I spent a good 10 minutes trying to find the witch and I simply cannot. Maybe Andersdottor was the only member who genuinely had no magical or elemental abilities or proficiencies. Maybe she was just a simple mortal, who’s allegorical retellings of the world led to her being invited into the Hexenzirkel. We do know she’s one of the only canonically DEAD members. Her painting shows the main characters from The Boar Princess.
and finally, Barbeloth. Not much to say, big hat, clearly astrological. Mona’s master blah blah. Clearly some of these were more fun than others
Anywho, i’ve been watching Genshin Lore videos all day and not a single Hexenzirkel video mentioned these really cool paintings included at the end and their clear connection to the stories of these witches!!! I hope someone sees this and starts thinking big thoughts with me!!

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 4 is shaping up to be the show’s most nostalgic season yet, and PEOPLE has the exclusive First Look at the stars in character, including Joshua Bassett (Ricky), Sofia Wylie (Gina), Julia Lester (Ashlyn), Dara Reneé (Kourtney), Frankie Rodriguez (Carlos), Joe Serafini (Seb), Liamani Segura (Emmy) and more.
Following a transformative summer away at camp, the new season follows the East High students as they enter their senior year — and it doesn’t take long before the drama picks up, both on and off stage. As the students prepare to put on a stage production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year, their plans are quickly derailed when it’s announced that Disney is making the long-awaited High School Musical 4: The Reunion movie at their high school, and they'll all be playing featured extras.
When PEOPLE visited the HSMTMTS set last year, many of the stars teased that this season feels like a “full-circle” moment as many OG High School Musical stars make cameos, including Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed and Kaycee Stroh.
“We've been manifesting it since day one and here we are four seasons later and we finally get to be with the OG Wildcat Group,” explains Lester, 23. “They embody the OG Wildcat spirit, we embody this new Wildcat spirit, and two groups blended together has been so wonderful.”
Bassett, 22, adds that it was especially moving to witness the OG HSM cast’s emotional response to returning to East High nearly 15 years after the final film wrapped. “It was really special to share that,” he says. “It was truly a beautiful thing and beyond what we were hoping for to have so many original people back.”
This season will also feature two new recurring cast members who stir things up for the East High students.
Descendants: The Rise of Red’s Kylie Cantrall plays social media star Dani, who sounds like an HSMTMTS take on Ashley Tisdale's Sharpay. “She likes the spotlight and when she wants something, she goes and gets it, even if it means stepping on people's toes a little bit,” teases Cantrall, 17.
Meanwhile, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. star Matthew Sato joins the cast as a sitcom actor named Mack, who he says “develops a really interesting relationship” with Gina as the season progresses.
Naturally, this season will feature countless nods to the original HSM franchise with the music, storylines and even costumes. “It is so meta,” showrunner Tim Federle says of season 4. “It's like Inception with jazz hands at this point. I think there are Easter eggs in every episode.”
The major storylines in this season also draw inspiration from the third High School Musical movie, as many of the characters go on journeys of self-discovery in their final year at East High.
“We chose High School Musical 3 because they're literally graduating,” Federle says of the significance behind the students’ musical for this year. “Troy and Gabriela have these stories about being potentially pulled apart by circumstance and by growing up and that's exactly what Ricky and Gina are going through,” he adds of Bassett and Sofia Wylie’s characters, who share a passionate kiss at the end of season 3.
As for that season 3 cliffhanger, Bassett teases that fans will continue to see the “aftermath” of that relationship in the upcoming season. “They're both really nervous about getting it right,” he says of Ricky and Gina. “It’s fun to see [them] in this light and actually see them in a healthy relationship because I think both of them have had pretty not great relationships.”
Relationship drama and big decisions are key themes in season 4 as the characters prepare to graduate high school. “Kourtney is going through these massive decisions about wanting it all as a college student,” teases Federle, 43. “Ashlyn goes on a journey where she discovers her own queerdom in the series.”
“Those are all things we're able to address in a way that I think celebrates the original franchise but puts a stamp on it in our own way,” Federle adds.
As for what Federle hopes the show’s final stamp will be? The importance of community. “In the streaming era, there's something real about the phrase ‘It's now or never,’” he explains. “[To] still be on the air after four seasons is a blessing alone.”
“I hope what people take away [from the series] is that in a mean, mean world, it's really important to find your people who have your back,” he adds. “The world is mean enough, and there are certain pockets of the world that you can find your people and soar and not apologize for who you are.”
He continues, “That goes for our audience, and that goes for these characters and ultimately, it goes for the real-life cast, hoping from me that they carry this with them for the rest of their lives. That they had a place to go that was safe and where they were celebrated for all of their colors.”
“This was my first TV show,” he adds. “And what I promised Disney was that if they let me hire real theater kids, they wouldn't let me down. I'm so proud of them because when the world beats them up, they still show up for me and for each other.”

An angsty short lil thing that's basically an origin story to Rogh's final hunt... With a little cameo appearance by the adorable Kya, brainchild of @moonah-rose
(TW: Pregnancy Anger, Hormones, Aggression, Low patience with children, Incestuous relationship mentioned (I'm so sorry but that's just the canon, I'm sorry🫥 confirmed in s2Xe4 and s3Xe5)
Everything anyone did irked her, every small mistake, every laugh, every question and every tiny whistle which left the tribe members' nostrils when they breathed in.
Riva sat, sharpening her spear inside the safety of the cave, her jaw set and her brow heavy. The elders had advised her not to join with any hunts recently, given that she was, at her 15th time now, with child. What her future descendants would someday call the 'third trimester'.
Her deer skin dress now needed new attachments and extra straps in order for it to be wrapped around her, her stomach adding many many inches to her waist. She would've done it herself, crafting was one of her many talents, but her cousin had opted to do it for her, pushing her by the shoulder back into the shade of the cave and telling her to drink plenty of the saved up river water they kept in a hollowed out tree stump they uprooted months back.
The flint barely seemed to cooperate as she sliced at it with a rock, trying her hardest to sharpen it to a point, the tip of the flint just seemed to ricochet off and skip across the rocky cave floor. It was her fourth attempt today at doing something she was usually great at, but it just refused to work.
With a grunt of annoyance, she hurled the flint into the fire pit at her side. Moments afterward, she grew frustrated with gripping onto the stick as well, she snarled and snapped it over her knee in a fury.
"Moonah will bless you, child"
The voice cave from the mouth of the cave. The wise elder of the tribe stood, shielding Riva from the barbaric summer sun, her elderly and grizzled face held no emotion but stoic. Riva's hostile demeanor changed once she laid eyes on the old woman; her mere presence was enough to cool her boiling blood for a moment, making her remember that the wise elder was a woman who deserved respect for her many years of outliving many of the tribe members.
"Seem that nothing easy today..." Riva commented, settling herself back down onto the rock where she'd spent the entire day so far. The elder woman approached, her spear, though it could also he called a staff, clumped onto the ground in time with each step she took. Her wrinkled hand pointed toward Riva's face.
"Moonah give us many blessing. But also many challenge. Challenge are hunt, cold, other tribe, no food. But blessing are river, cave, tribe, life. But blessing are only for short time" The elder spoke, merely over a whisper, her eyes fixed on Riva's. Her hand moved from Riva's face, down toward her pregnant belly, where she risked a caress with her bony knuckles.
"But baby is gift. And gift last for life. Cherish when Moonah gives you gift..."
As soon as the elder wise woman appeared, she vanished, back outside into the sunlight without another word.
Riva, strained and got to her knees, scooping a hollowed out tool into the river and bringing up water. Her mate, and brother, was somewhere nearby, she could hear him. His laugh was unmistakable, the same grumbling, drawn out chortle she'd been used to since they were children. She drew in a slow breath and fixed her eyes on the rippling water in the river.
She could hear many more bursts of laughter, from her sons and daughters. She'd be lying if she said they brought her joy today; nothing brought her joy today. They grew closer, the gleeful squeals and giggles made the hairs on her arms rise and buzz with annoyance.
A cold shock splashed across the back of her hair, which caused her to drop the wooden tool into the river. With a yelp of frustration and discomfort, she spun on her knees, grinding them painfully into the gravel and pebbles beneath them.
One of her young sons, Pek, stood giggling and pointing his fingers at her, his freckled cheeks and toothy grin, identical to his Fada's, beaming in the sun.
"Now Mama wet from water!" He barked happily, clapping his hands over his head and patting at his hair.
Riva, quicker than she would've thought possible in her condition, rose to her feet and pointed her stone cold finger in Pek's face.
"Water for drink, not play!"
The youth's face fell in confusion and disappointment. His arms lowered back to his sides and he stepped back slightly, frightened by his mother's tone.
"Now look what done. Tool gone down river, now cannot get new water. Silly boy!" She spat, angrily flourishing her hand downriver toward the now very far away wooden tool that later humans would call a 'ladle'.
"Big sorry, Mama..." Pek said meekly, his grubby hand coming up to scratch at his chest. Riva's heated rant didn't end there. She bent down, her face mere inches from the boy's.
"You want go play? Go play with Fada! He big idiot, he played all life. Fada more boy than man!"
"Ey? What shout for?" A voice approached, a familiar voice. An all too familiar voice. The voice of her brother, Rogh. Her blood started to bubble again at the mere sound of his voice, she hadn't a clue why. Maybe because he always sounded so chipper, even in bad times? Maybe because he got to have fun and she didn't because of the new baby, still yet to be born? Maybe because he was the one who put the baby there in the first place?
She turned her attention from Pek to Rogh, now stood behind the timid boy, fluffing his wild hair and patting his shoulder.
"Son make me loose tool in river, now cannot bring new water to cave without dropping between finger! Son just like you, big idiot!" Riva spat, starting off back towards the cave, brushing past her wide eyed and confused brother and young son who now looked on the edge of tears.
Riva huffed as she set herself back down onto her rock, she itched sharply at the wet patch at the back of her head. She'd kill for a palm full of puddle water right about now, but she couldn't because of the baby still inside her. The elders always warned mothers that drinking puddle water while with child will cause the baby to be born with three eyes and no feet.
"Can make new tool, you know. I make it first time, can make again.." It was Rogh. He must've followed her. She disregarded him with a sneer.
"'Make'...Bet you trade for with dried Mammoth tongue..."
Rogh sounded almost insulted as he wandered closer.
"Did make! Took day and half but me got there" He crouched down in front of her, looking up at her face, but she refused to make eye contact with him.
Her face remained stoic and as rough as the discarded flint from earlier. She had nothing to say to him, that's how she wanted it to stay until the dark cloud left from over her head.
"Come. Let Rogh see Riva smile. Riva smile always make Rogh smile" Rogh purred, his index finger curling and reaching up towards her chin; he knew that's where she had always been ticklish, but she wasn't in the mood for his games.
Rogh's voice pitched up, and a crooked and dumb grin spread across his face. His wiggling finger began to get dangerously close to her skin.
"Ohh, come on. Rogh can see Riva lip curl up, she gonna give Rogh a smile? She gonna give Ro-"
Her face dropped downward and her teeth snapped shut with a threatening crunch. If that had landed, it would've taken his finger clean off, but Rogh was swift, pulling his hand away before any blood was shed.
Riva seethed, her chest heaving from rapid and enraged breaths.
"Ey! Rogh only play with Riva. Riva know Rogh no serious" Rogh defended, stroking his knuckles up and down the front of his furs, his eyes imploring her to calm down.
"Rogh NEVER serious! Rogh ONLY play! Big idiot!" Riva growled, her fists clenched and her white knuckles cracked.
"Sons need learn how to fight with spear, you no teach! Daughters need learn to fish and make furs, you NO teach! Too busy with play! That why our Mother and cousins die, you tired from play and fall asleep on job!" She rose from her rock and lurched toward her brother, who rose his hands in defense and began to back away.
"But- Rogh want help. Rogh will help if Riva ask. R-Rogh just want make Riva happy-" He stuttered, his brow arching in pain and concern. Riva's stone finger prodded painfully against Rogh's chest over and over.
"Big screw up! Big idiot! What wrong with you, always smile with big stupid face! You want be useful, stay out of face and go!" Riva angrily grabbed a club from the cave wall and shoved it into his chest, caring very little if it bruised. She turned away from him and headed back to her rock at the back of the cave.
Rogh lingered in the mouth of the cave for a moment, he sounded as though he wanted to say something to her. But no words left him. Riva watched with icy eyes as Rogh's shadow moved away from her feet and out of sight. She risked a look over her shoulder, her gruff demeanor still in place just in case he still waited for further instructions.
He was gone.
Riva's eyes lingered on the entrance to the cave for a long time; had she gone too far with him? He WAS her brother, after all. It hurt her head to think, to remember the genuine concern and fear in her brother's eyes. In her son Pek's eyes. She'd made a terrible mistake. A huge mistake.
Before Riva knew it, she was reduced to a shattered shell of the rough and ragged woman she'd been for weeks now, and she lie curled up, cradled by the warmth of the dying cave fire, hot tears streaming from her eyes.
"Mama? Where Fada?. He been gone for big long time". A small voice echoed in her ears, followed by a series of pokes to her shoulder as she returned from the pleasant land of slumber. It was her eldest, her daughter, Pin, just nine winters old.
"Moonah be here soon. Fada say he come back before Moonah. But he still not back. He say he go on hunt with Bakk and Shom. He look big sad when he go, gave us big kiss on heads"
Riva groaned and sat up, leaning back on her hands and looking toward the cave mouth. Dusk. That WAS unlike Rogh, and especially Shom.
"Fada look- big sad?" Riva couldn't hide the shame in her voice.
"Ey! Fada look like.. "Another tiny child, adorned in fox pelts, lowered her face to the ground and puckered out her bottom lip, an over the top portrayal of sadness.
"... Where he go?" Riva sat up even more, ignoring the discomfort in her bulbous stomach.
The fox pelted girl of 5 summers, looked up at her and spoke again.
"Dunno. But he take smashy club. Say he make Mama happy when he come back"
Riva's heart tugged with guilt and sadness as thunder began to roll in the distance.

Ok just because brain is buzzing - some more info regarding the Locked Tomb campaign I was gonna run that I posted the sheets for over hereee: https://www.tumblr.com/greyborn2/718444295287390208/custom-character-sheet-thingy-i-made-for-a-locked All the stuff under the cut because it be LONGGGG
-Was gonna be set in the 91st century of the first myriad. So during Nonius' time. Had planned for him to make a small cameo at some point. -Basic setup for it was that the Emperor and his Lyctors had 'gone silent' for a hundred to two hundred years. A blink of time for them (and besides, they were busy fighting resurrection beasts and dealing with losing a few of them) but enough time for things to slowly start descending into a shitshow in Dominicus. The houses wernt at open war, but tensions were super high and basically it was a case of nearly every house or powerful adept making a play for declaring themselves the stewards of Dominicus in the Emperor's absence. Political intrigue, infighting, a war of polite words, intrigue and assassinations. Big regency drama vibes. -Player characters were the Crown Princess of Ida, played by the player who had never read locked tomb but INSTANTLY grok'd third house when I described them and, with no input from me, straight up made a hellish combo of Corona and Ianthe; The Mistress Templara of the Eighth House; The lady of the Fifth house; aaaaaand a traumatized sixteen year old war veteran from the Fourth who went to war and got his leg blown off and narrowly escaped with his life. -Eventual plan was that at some point near the end G1dion would show back up to see Dominicus like that 'everything on fire and chaos' gif from Community. Like full on "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON THE EMPEROR UNDYING LEAVES YOU ALONE FOR TWO CENTURIES AND THIS HAPPENS?!?!" and at some point he and Nonius would fight (and fuck. Lets be honest) in the background. Probably just an event the players would hear about in passing but a lil' nod to the fact that Nonius and G1dion crossed blades. -Mechanically a lot of the system was a stripped back version of v5 WoD/Storyteller system with a bigger focus on narrative > strict mechanics because I just prefer systems to work like that. Less strict "Ah yes, I have this specific power" and more... flexible magic within the three disciplines of necromancy and the three-tier system I wrote within each one. Hard to quickly summarize but ye. -As mentioned in other post, was gonna make a map of Dominicus for it! If you've seen the maps of the Sol system for 40k where they are all sorta gothic and fantasy-y despite being star maps was gonna go for that vibe. Might come back to it at some point as an art project. -Ended up making the executive decision that '''powder''' as an off hand is a single shot duelling pistol. Big regency vibes, again. -Was playing around with the idea of making the Eighth player's cav into the BBEG. TL;DR is that she (Gris Ochtu, the Cav) had previously been cav to another necro. At some point her and her old necromancer had gotten into a life or death situation, her necromancer tried to syphon her to death, and Gris found a way of basically 'grabbing on' to the syphon tether, pulled her necromancer down to the river in a bout of panic and flight/fight and drowned her necromancer to death in said River. The whole event left her with a talent for basically shrugging off necromantic theorems directly cast against her, unraveling theorems that got close to her, and 'swallowing' up other peoples souls (or, well, it was gonna be a power she unlocked later in campaign as she became more of a threat and revealed herself as the traitor), casting them into the River, and then letting revenants take over their bodies. Anyways, she was reassigned after giving a false report that her necro had 'died trying to save her' and was biding her time/playing along before at some point she'd fucking crack and go Wake against the Empire while all the political stuff was also happening. Add a threat beyond politicking. Was an idea I was -toying- with, anyways. Also she was a silver haired milf with hardcore battle scarring because, well, ofcourse.
#tlt#the locked tomb#sorry again to any of my followers with zero interest in tlt#this is just the tangent of the night apparently

-An ultra doting papa, huh?
-Awww
-Ah, milf!
-What a wonderful week you're having, Mashiro!
-Anyways, Baby Time.
-Poor thing really misses her parents.
-Vidya chat!
-"Who the fuck are you?"
-Descendant of Skyland!
-Yoyo! The scholar!
-Rather convnenient.
-Shiny rocks!
-Shiny energy rocks!
-We have those too, but uh... well, they're a bit more dangerous. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be used though, I can tell you that much.
-That ain't no hill, Granny Goodness!
-Out we go.
-Borb.
-Borb.
-Off we goooooo!

-Konnichiwaaa~!
-Good morning, king and queen!

-Holy shit, she learned her hiragana table in like a week.

-Breakfast time~!

-Princess~!
-Take an Ellee for your secret hiding.
-B i r d
-"Fate's working its gears once more."
-Passionate about helping the youth of today. Respect that.
-Youuu don't know.
-When I grow up, I'm gonna smoke Fortnite and play weed all day. ...is what I probably would do if I could even do either of those things.
-Kabachonk.
-An ancient trap.
-Truffle hunter.
-Honestly that was very clever of you Kabaton, very clever thinking.
-Purple Bebop is lightyears ahead of you!
-Mushroom time!
-Hot damn! Kicks!
-Too big for school.
-Not to big to spread spores though~!
-Ozone Baby detects your hidden resolve.
-"Give up, losers! I've got your Cure and her means of fighting!"
-Oh GOD why do they have to make noise
-Fly high!
-It's Cure Time.
-"Why the side character!?"
-Kabaton's honestly a pretty great villain for a show like this.
-He's not smart in a traditional sense, but the way he uses the Ranborgs so far has been effective.
-"SHADDUP! ...anyways, Mashiron, remember my backstory."
-That teenage angst set right in.
-"Kindness! An unbeatable power!"
-PreCure~!
-It's Hero Time!

-It's Hero Time! Part 2!
-It's a good thing these transformations are so gorgeous.
-No interfering! The lady grants her favor!
-Hirogaru... Sky Punch!
-Hope we get to see Prism's finisher soon.
-Oh, okay! Hirogaru... Prism Shot!
-Mashiron's all tired!
-Sora...
-"You're good enough to be my friend, aren't you?"
-Cure Prism! Alright!
-Alright, what's next episode?
-Ah yep, Sora trying to do all the work. A pretty standard early episode plot for any cartoon, sooooo-
-Guess we'll wait till next time~!

EXCLUSIVE: Travis Kelce‘s foray into Hollywood continues with his first major acting job: a role in Ryan Murphy‘s high-profile new FX horror series Grotesquerie. According to sources, the NFL star — and global celebrity due to his relationship with Taylor Swift — has been cast opposite Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville in the upcoming series, which has just started production. Reps for FX, Murphy and producing studio 20th Television declined comment.
As is the case with all Murphy projects, details about Grotesquerie are scarce, with no cast members beyond Nash-Betts, Vance and Manville confirmed for the drama, slated for a fall premiere.
The series debut is expected to coincide with the next football season, which will see Kelce return to the Kansas City Chiefs coming off the tight end and team’s third Super Bowl win in five years.
Grotesquerie is a follow-up to Kelce’s acting debut as host of Saturday Night Live in March 2023. He also made a cameo alongside Swift on the NBC late-night sketch comedy series this past fall.
With his name gaining global recognition via his high-profile relationship with Swift, Kelce has been in demand. He has been open about his lofty Hollywood ambitions and has been branching out since signing with CAA last year.
Having previously dipped his toes in unscripted TV with his reality dating series Catching Kelce, which ran for one season in 2016, he recently signed on as host of Amazon’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? game show.
Known for his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother and former NFL center Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce also recently made his debut as an executive producer on the indie film My Dead Friend Zoe, which premiered at SXSW. He is set to produce an upcoming documentary on artist Jean-Michel Basquiat titled King Pleasure.
Murphy is known for helping talent cross over to acting. Several years ago, he gave Lady Gaga her first major role on American Horror Story: Hotel. She went on to star in A Star Is Born, earning an Oscar acting nomination for her performance.
Like Kelce, Gaga also had hosted SNL before getting a shot by Murphy.
Grotesquerie, which Murphy is doing with frequent collaborators Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, released an all-text teaser in February. It included audio of Nash-Betts character, in which she says, “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness.”

Day 39- Film: Has Anybody Seen My Gal?
Release date: June 25th, 1952.
Studio: Universal
Genre: Comedy
Director: Douglas Sirk
Producer: Ted Richmond
Actors: Piper Laurie, Rock Hudson, Charles Coburn, Gigi Perreau, Lynn Bari
Plot Summary: In 1920’s New York, a hypochondriac millionaire thinks he is about to die with no heirs. Remembering the lovely woman from his youth who refused his proposal, he becomes convinced she is what spurred him on to financial riches. What if he left his fortune to her family? He locates her descendants and decides to check them out incognito, hoping to discover that he can trust them with the money.
My Rating (out of five stars): **½
I’ll admit I was disappointed with this movie. It looked kind of cute and colorful and fun. Well, it was colorful. It was also a bit overly cute and a bit under the bar of fun.
The Good:
The color was gorgeous Technicolor in all its glory.
Rock Hudson. He was really charming and charismatic, and his acting wasn’t stiff at all. I can see why he was just on the edge of becoming a huge star.
The little daughter Roberta, played by Gigi Perreau. She was so natural for a child actor, I even paused the movie to look her up. By the end of the movie, however, her character was pretty grating.
Another James Dean blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo! He played a guy at the soda fountain asking for a ridiculously complicated drink. He had literally one line. But this is the third time of the project so far he’s had that.
The cuteness of the time period, the clothing, etc. Part of it was good fun, but...
The Bad:
The way the film was trying so hard to be overly nostalgic, constantly hitting us over the head with the fact that it was the 1920s. Remember prohibition? Scoff-laws? Speakeasies? Old time soda shops? Cloche hats? The Charleston? They even showed you how to do it, in case you forgot. Can you believe steak was 35 cents a pound? And eggs were 33 cents? If you compare it to Singin’ in the Rain, which also took place in the 1920s, you can really see the difference. Singin’ definitely had reminders of the time period, but the plot always took precedence. It never stood still for nostalgia p*rn.
The way the plot went off the rails for the last hour. Forty-minutes in, daughter Millie gets engaged to Hudson, and the family anonymously receives the fortune. And there’s almost an hour left! Everything kind of fell apart from there. The plot just wasn’t structured well at all.
I didn’t really like Charles Coburn’s millionaire character. I can’t put my finger on exactly why, but I was really sick of him by the end of the movie.
The other characters were not really fleshed out enough for me to feel really invested in them. Piper Laurie was given top billing as Millie, but I couldn’t really tell you anything about her except that fact that she was of marrying age.
I hated the mom character. She was part of why everything suddenly went off the rails. Her personality after she acquired the wealth changed so fast it was totally unrealistic. The family mongrel? Get rid of him! We need French Poodles now! Sell the family business! We can't be working plebs anymore! Etc.
The ending. It was also not very satisfying, not very realistic, and it left some significant strings flapping around. (Like flappers? Sorry, couldn’t resist a really bad groaner.)

I've been keeping up with your submas wanted AU and I absolutely adore it. Just read about the villains and my after thought was, "Man, even fricken Melli would be super disappointed in his descendents because for all he was as a nuisance, he would be appalled by what Belladonna was doing." Like yes, he's not the most popular character in PLA for obvious reasons, but Ingo and Akari would know that Melli would never approve of Sneasler's eggs being stolen and handled so poorly (since there's that cracked egg incident). He had a backwards way of showing it, but Melli took his Warden duties seriously because he wanted to help Adaman. Overconfident and haughty, but a good person at the end of the day. Ingo is probably disappointed for his fellow Warden, but hey, at least there's Mint! They have a chance to right their grandmother's wrongdoings
Thank you so much!! 💖
And I know, Belladonna is terrible! But I promise Mint is actually a good person deep down like Melli, just is currently under the thumb of their wicked grandma and genuinely believes her lies.
Also, there is a point where Ingo looks Mint right in the eye and point blank tells them that he knows they can be better then this. That they are better then this.
This caused Mint to rethink their life choices and decides they’re done with their grandmothers lies.
To make it more Believable/give her more credibility, she did in fact organize an actual break into her lab. She paid off one of the shady organizations she use to work with to bust in, rough up some innocent employees, and then ‘steal’ some empty pokeballs from the most highly secured floor of the lab.
She’s a Melli descendent, she’s gotta go all in on the dramatics.
I’ve also been debating if I want to add a third descendent for Melli for the fic, this one actually being a canon character who vaguely looks like him and does also have a flamboyant personality.
Hall Matron Argenta of the Frontier Brains.
She would be Belladonna’s beloved niece. Argenta would have no idea of what her aunt is actually doing so she’d trust her and would rally support for the research lab early on. And because she’s so highly respected as one of the Frontier Brains her support gives them that much more credibility to the public.
Later, when her Aunts faculty show their true colors she starts stepping back and disassociating with the lab. She ends up having to make an announcement to the public that she’s just as shocked as they are about this behavior and disregard for the fragile pokemon life of an egg.
Her role wouldn’t be very big at all, more of a cameo then any thing. Just someone who relation adds respectability to the researchers.

TW: Derealization (and flashing imagery if you plan to watch the VOD)
- Karl returns to the Inbetween, where a book from :] welcomes him back and tells him not to stray from the path again.

- He returns to the surface and :] tells him his mind seems to be playing a trick on him.
- A book in the room Karl first came to the Inbetween in tells him not to be silly and to not trust the illusions, that they are a result of his mind deteriorating
- An all-caps book tells him to get the portal, but a glitch effect sends him back to the starting room, where a book tells him that the writer knows best for Karl, to not let these illusions dictate his view of the Inbetween.
- Karl goes through the halls and sees the other Karls running around. There’s a glitch effect that changes the lighting. At the birch tree is a book telling him that these other Karls have stayed in the Inbetween too long and lost themselves, doomed to wander forever. He has to go to the portal.
- A glitch effect sends him to a dark room, where the book tells him not to go to the portal, telling him “We” will come and make sure he doesn’t
- Text pops up on the screen
“Follow the torches”
- Karl starts running along a path of torches
“It can’t follow you through the portal” “You’ll be home soon” “Keep going!” “Hurry!” “For your friends”
[There’s some writing in Standard Galactic that flashes]
“Protect your stories”
- Karl makes it to the portal. A book from :] tells him he might not ever remember his friends if he goes in, that the Inbetween is better.
- Karl runs though the portal and comes out on the Other Side, a new castle, wearing black clothes.
- A book welcomes him home.
---
- Ranboo does a chill stream and talks to Tubbo, Karl, Foolish and Dream
- They talk about all sorts of stuff, but late into the stream, they discuss a lot about the lore process especially! Here are a few details
- Dream talks about how he wants to do an edited Dream lore video at some point
- The first Dream-Ranboo Panic Room stream was improv-ed on the fly with Ranboo messaging Dream to join his stream and giving him basic instructions to follow
- Dream talks about how the lore at this point is in a building/character progression stage. Eventually, all these different plot lines will start colliding. Right now, everything is still building up as everyone works on their plots. There will be a point eventually that triggers a cascade of other events, and what exactly that trigger point is may be unexpected...
- A lot of the lore is improv or very quickly-planned, so plans are flexible and can change depending on how plot points go, with other things planned long-term
- There are a lot of red herrings! Things set up in lore where predictions and theories can use details to point to a theory that seems like it has to be this specific thing, those same details could also point to something else...
- Dream made a huge effort to stare at Ranboo a ton during the Finale, and Ranboo stared back on purpose
- Dream was watching Ranboo’s stream and noticed that Ranboo was picking up blocks as a character thing and thought it was really cool, so he coded it so that Ranboo could pick up grass blocks (but he messaged Ranboo to be responsible with it after the spawner thing)
- They talk a bit about DreamXD becoming a thing, and Dream talks about how he logged on as DreamXD the first time for a short cameo during the Dreamon Hunter bit to be the demon
- They continue chatting for a bit more about the lore process
---
Upcoming events remain the same.

Even MORE Descendants...
I really miss having time to play The Sims. I'm *dying* to be able to create Auradon with the new Create-A-World mod I've been seeing. Which has had me daydreaming about how I'm going to fit the VKs into all my Disney Sims.
I've been toying with the idea of making Audrey the granddaughter of Aurora and Phillip, instead of their daughter. Their child can marry either Tiana's kid or Naveen's little brother, that way I can stay accurate to the original *and* Audrey can still be black (actress Sarah Jeffrey is biracial and identifies as black).
Which brings me to this:
Uhh, that's Princess Aurora in the back, between Queen Leah and Princess Audrey. In fact, a lot of the classic Princesses and Princes have cameos during Ben's coronation (if I remember right, you can also spot Cinderella and Henry Charming, Tiana and Naveen, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Rapunzel and Eugene).
They did overall suuuuch a great job with casting to match the Descendants actors. So why didn't they just make this bit background part match Audrey and Queen Leah? Why couldn't Aurora be black in these movies? Was some Disney executive scared we wouldn't recognize Sleeping Beauty if she wasn't white, in a series that overall did an amazing job adding diversity to the Disney Princess world? I don't get it.
And then there's Jay. I was too busy making jokes about Jafar not being his dad to comment that... Jafar can't be his dad.
I mean, I guess he could. My Aladdin/Jafar's sister joke-theory doesn't hold water though. Actor Booboo Stewart is half Eastern Asian, but he's also part white and Blackfoot. He's not Middle-Eastern at all.
On that note though: I don't think Carlos is supposed to be half Jewish, but Cameron Boyce was in real life. I kinda assume Carlos's dad is Jasper or something.
So Jay's mom could be Eastern Asian or Native American (fun fact I learned: Sarah Jeffrey is also part Native Canadian) and Jafar is still his dad. But the only Disney villains I can think of that fit are Shan Yu and the Huns? So I'm going to tweak my old idea a bit. Maybe Jafar *is* still Jay's uncle, but Jay has no idea. His real parents are Jafar's sister Nasira and Shan Yu. In Genghis Khan fashion, Shan Yu had a crapload of kids on the Isle. Nasira doesn't want to raise a kid, and Jafar needs a Street Rat to help him steal/scavenge stuff for his shop (which is actually a front for him to find another genie or non-evil magic artifact). So Jafar raises his nephew, and Jay never learns the truth. Thoughts?
Apparently CJ Hook *does* have a cameo in the movies, btw! She was confirmed on Twitter to be a part of Uma's crew in the 2nd movie (tweeted by the author of one of the books). I don't have the picture, but there's a blonde girl that Harry taunts towards the end of the "What's My Name" number, and she was confirmed to be CJ!
I think that's her on top of the table, to the left.
I've read a lot of discussions why Iago is sent to the Isle (in the books, apparently) despite going good after the first Aladdin movie. Instead of Descendants ignoring all sequels though... Maybe Beast was just a major hard-ass? Fits his character. Despite anything Iago did after, he still had to pay for his crimes on the Isle of the Lost. I dunno, it works for me...
By this logic, Kronk would have to go there too.
How does the afterlife work in Auradon? Who runs the Underworld since Hades was stripped of his god-hood? If someone is forgotten in Santa Cecilia (I think that's the name of the town in Coco), do they get sent to the Underworld after the leave the Coco afterlife? Mulan has ancestor ghosts: does religion play a part in what happens to you in the afterlife? Does that mean Judge Frollo was tortured by Chernabog and his demons (Fantasia) between his death and resurrection? Is Chernabog sent to the Isle too? Whose magic was so powerful that they were able to strip gods of all their god-ness? Were the Olympians cool with this? Since Jafar's third wish made him a genie instead of a god, that means genies are the most powerful beings. Not sure where I'm going with that last one...
What religion are the priests shown in Arendelle, Corona, and Prince Eric's kingdom? I'm way too involved in worldbuilding my Sims Auradon...

Lola Bunny Tier List
This is my rankings of the different versions of Lola Bunny. The versions I chose to rank are Space Jam, the DC comics, Tweety's Highflying Adventure, Baby Looney Tunes, Dating Do's and Don'ts, Loonatics Unleashed (Yes, I am aware it's not actually Lola but it's still a variation of her), The Looney Tunes Show, Rabbits Run, New Looney Tunes (Formally known as Wabbit), and Space Jam: A New Legacy.
1.DC Comics- This version of Lola is absolutely the most PERFECT version of Lola that there is. She's smart, strong, competent, independent, and feisty but is able to get into wacky situations like a traditional Looney Tune. She's a pizza delivery girl for mythical creatures, ancient spirits, and deities, which is awesome and has a lot of comedic potential that they take full advantage of. She shows that she can hold her own as a Looney Tune without having to rely on the other Looney Tunes to make her story work. She's sassy, witty, hot-headed, vindictive, resourceful, clever, can take a beating, and is just everything you want in a great female Looney Tune and a great Looney Tune in general. I'd love to see animated shorts based on the comics.
2.Space Jam: A New Legacy- I was very skeptical about this when I learned that out of nowhere at the last minute they replaced Kath Soucie with Zendaya, who is a TERRIBLE actress in my opinion. However, Zendaya did surprise me by actually giving a good performance, for once. She wasn't monotoned, wooden, or stale but full of energy, genuine emotion, and showing personality. This version of Lola takes full advantage of Lola by fleshing her out more and making her more important to the plot than she was in the original Space Jam. She's really awesome and a lot like her DC comic book version. The only thing holding her back is that Zendaya voices her. I'm sorry but the fact that Kath Soucie was going to voice her but they just out of nowhere screwed her over in favor of a big named (And OVERRATED) celebrity really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
3.New Looney Tune- This is pretty much just like her DC comic book version where she is smart, competent, strong, and independent but is able to be in wacky situations. The episode Lola Rider is amazing and shows her full potential being shown. Kath Soucie even returned to voice her, showing off her versatility. The art style is terrible but this is a very faithful and well-done version of Lola. However, she's not higher because of two things. The first being she's only in three episodes, one of which is only for one minute. In her third and final appearance, she acts like a major fangirl that is kind of clueless, which seems out of character. However, I chalk that up to Lola just being such a big sports fan that when she's near someone she's a big fan of, she loses her senses in excitement.
4.Loonatics Unleashed- An underrated and overly hated show that is a lot of fun. Lola's descendant, Lexi Bunny, is the best part of the show because of her strong, smart, fun, sassy, and badass personality. Her personality is fleshed out and despite being the only girl never feels like she's just there to be the token chick but rather an essential member of the team. She's even second in command to Ace, Bugs Bunny's descendant. I really love her sass and how she carries herself in all situations whether mellow or dangerous. I find her interactions with Daffy Duck's descendant, Danger Duck. They have very much a sibling relationship where she never misses an opportunity to call him out on his crap, not to mention put him in his place when he does something to make her upset. I feel like this is what Lola and Daffy's interactions would be like, which I wish we would see more of with the actual Lola and Daffy.
5.Space Jam- The original Lola Bunny, who is awesome. I love her catchphrase, "Don't ever call me doll" and I wish that it would've stayed her catchphrase in later versions of Lola. She's smart, strong, feisty, has great expressions, is self-reliant, and never lets people underestimate her simply for being an attractive female. She's a wonderful character but she isn't very well written. She has less than 4 minutes of screen time in the whole movie, speaking and non-speaking. That makes her not as fleshed out as she could've been. They should've given her more to do and more of a role in the film. Not to mention make her a bit more looney like she would be in the comics. I feel like they should've modeled her personality a little bit more like Babs Bunny from Tiny Toon Adventures (Yes, Babs Bunny actually came before Lola).
6.Baby Looney Tunes- The same Lola we know and love but as a baby. She's still smart, strong, stands up for herself, is creative, feisty, caring, and maintains her amazing athletic skills. She's great but her being a baby does limit her.
7.Tweety's Highflying Adventure- This is just a cameo with her as a weather girl. She's cool and all but there's not much to judge because of how it's less than a minute.
8.Rabbits Run- This version of Lola is VERY different from the Lola that is normally shown in media. She's more of an airhead because of how she's based on The Looney Tunes Show version of Lola. So I should really hate this version but she was actually okay. She wasn't a brainless, man-obsessed, dumb blonde stereotype and actually had some independence and goals that didn't revolve around a man or just change out of nowhere. On her own, she's an entertaining character but she's still just NOT Lola.
9.Dating Do's and Don'ts- This version has no lines other than giggling like a dumb teenage valley girl stereotype. This really isn't anything like Lola and is just so out of character.
10.The Looney Tunes Show- I absolutely DESPISE this version of Lola. They took an already established character that was smart, competent, independent, self-reliant, and strong and turned her into the polar opposite of who she was. They made her a scatterbrained, man-obsessed, dumb blonde stereotype that never shuts up. This is bad fanfic levels of terrible character writing. The creators of the show actually said they never saw Space Jam or anything else Lola appeared in, which just shows how terribly written this character is. I respect people's opinions but saying this version of Lola is the best is just really insulting to the character, to women, and to quality writing. Just let this version DIE and never be allowed to see the light of day EVER again.
