It was late and your brothers were out of the bunker trying to get a lead on the case. You stayed back, feeling really off. You couldn’t quite put your finger on what was wrong because you were pretty sure everything was wrong. You were overwhelmed and feeling every single negative emotion at once. You started to think about everyone you’ve ever lost and started to grieve those lost connections. This is always how it went for you. You’d feel one singular sad emotion and then all of them would come crashing down on top of you. You had to get your mind off of it.

You glanced at the table and saw the whiskey your brothers would occasionally throw back. You had never drank before, but it was like something was pulling you in the direction of it. Sure you were underage and your brothers would be upset, but the pros were seeming to out way the cons as you opened the bottle.

You grabbed a glass and tilted the whiskey down as you watched the liquor flow out. You poured until nothing came out of it anymore. “Oops,” you mumbled now looking at the empty whiskey bottle. You had poured all of the remaining liquor into your class, but you didn’t care. You needed to get rid of these emotions and this was the only way to do it. You brought the glass up to your lips and took a swig. You gagged as it burned your mouth and stung your throat as you swallowed it. You looked back at the drink with disgust before putting it back to your lips and chugging it. You slammed the glass down onto the table and looked around. You decided to turn on some music and by the time you heard Kenny Rogers glorious voice you were hammered.

You were dancing around the room with the remote in your hand as you sang in a deep voice trying to match his pitch. As your brothers walked through the door you spun around to the face them, music still blasting through the bunker. Your eyes lit up and you pointed both fingers up at them continuing to sing,

You belted in a deep voice still pointing at them. Sam stood laughing at you and Dean joined in on singing with you for the next part.

You both sang and you went to fake run. As you did, you slipped and landed flat on the floor. You burst out laughing thinking it was the funniest thing ever. As Dean walked towards you, Sam’s eyes landed on the empty glass of whiskey that had no lid on it anymore. He squinted his eyes and looked back at you, “are you drunk?” He asked already knowing the answer. Dean snapped his eyes over to Sam and then snapped them back to you. You were still on the floor laughing and singing along to the song before Dean pulled you up. He held his grip firm on you as you answered, “Uhhh I don’t know I’ve never been drunk before so how am I supposed to know if I’m drunk if I’ve never actually been drunk like what does drunk even feel like and how are you supposed to know if you are if you’ve never actually felt it before?” You asked rambling on. “I can smell it all over her Sam, she’s drunk.” Dean sighed angrily looking over at what you drank. His heart sank. He knew how much liquor was left and he especially knew that you drank too much for your small body. He pulled you over to the empty glass and looked worried. “Did you take this neat?” Dean asked in disbelief, letting you go. “I don’t even know what that means,” you slurred, stumbling at the loss of stability Dean provided for you. “Wow, wow, hey,” Dean said reaching out to steady, “did you did you mix this with anything?” He asked looking concerned. You giggled, “No silly! I just poured a glass n drank it durrrr.” You said giving Dean a bitch face as you pushed away from him. “Well actually I chugged it because it burnedddddd!” You exclaimed matter of factly, making a gross face. Sam pinched the bridge of his nose while Dean was frozen in place. “You chug- you chugged whiskey?!??” Dean shouted. “Yeah but it’s okay because I feel so good now De, I was so sad before, but now I’m okay!” You said stumbling backwards away from Dean. Both of your brothers faces immediately softened. Sam reached out to steady you. “Hey bug, how long ago did you do this?” He asked softly knowing it was more important to take care of you than to yell at you at this point. “Likeeee 10 minutes before I saw a moose and squirrel walk through the front door!” You exclaimed, giggling. “That’s you if you didn’t know.” You said looking between both of your brothers. Sam and Dean glanced at each other feeling a little relived to know you hadn’t been like this long and there was a better chance of getting the contents of the alcohol out before it reached your blood stream. You were faltering the fine line between alcohol poisoning with how much you drank and both of your brothers knew that. “Watch this!” You exclaimed ready to climb on top of the table and jump off. “Uhhhh yeah no,” Sam said stopping you halfway and dragging you back down. You looked at him before stomping, “Mooses never wanna have fun!”You said. He picked you up and slugged you over his shoulder. “Oh we are goin on an adventure wahooooo,” You slurred feeling on top of the world. Sam started walking to the bathroom and Dean followed behind. “Wow De!” You squealed. “‘mm like taller than you.” You said straightening your body out on Sam’s shoulder trying to get even taller. He shook his head, sighing. Sam put you down and you took in your new surroundings. The bathroom! Okay you could find a way to have fun in here too.

Your thoughts were interrupted by Sam speaking. “You’ve gotta throw up sweetheart,” he said sympathetically. “What n-no!” You slurred, trying to get your legs that felt like jello to move. Dean quickly stepped in front of you, leaving you to sluggishly ram into his chest. You looked up at him, “you drank way too much it’s either you throw up right now or we take you to the hospital.” He said. You whimpered looking away from him and looking to Sam. “I’m sorry bug, he’s right.” He said softly guiding you to the toilet. You were already feeling nauseous and biting back puking everywhere, but when you kneeled down to the toilet nothing came up. You sat there for a few minutes waiting for the feeling to come back, but you were starting to feel really out of it like you might black out at any second. Dean noticed you slightly swaying and grabbed you. “Alright kid alright,” he said as he rearranged himself to be behind you. You whimpered. “I know, I know hang in there.” He said as he shoved his two fingers down your throat. You immediately started throwing up. “Atta girl” He said patting your back as Sam held your hair away from your face. They both hated seeing you like this and were extremely worried for your physical and mental state. They knew there was a bigger picture to the scene in front of them and they barely scratched the top of the surface. This wasn’t like you to get drunk, hell this wasn’t like you to even drink. Sam transferred your hair to one hand as he reached for a wash cloth. He handed it to Dean and he wiped your mouth. Sam let go of your hair and left the bathroom to get you water. You were exhausted and leaned back into Dean. “You’re alright kiddo,” he sighed, holding her. “Are you disappointed in me, De?”You asked softly. He brushed your hair off your sweating forehead before replying, “why did you do it kiddo?” He asked. “Everyone’s dead,” you whimpered. Dean squeezed his eyes shut and clenched his jaw before you bursted out into tears. “Everyone’s dead!” You sobbed. “Shhh shh I know, I know and I’m so sorry kiddo.” Dean said holding your weak body up. “I’m so sorry that you have to experience all of this grief and all of this loss.” He finished, feeling terrible and knowing you’ve already been through too much in your short life.

Sam came back into the bathroom telling Dean to take you to bed. He picked you up and took you to your room where Sam had Advil, water and a pedialyte waiting for you on your nightstand. “Hey bug, I need you to definitely drink the pedialyte before going to bed and there’s also some water if you need it. The Advil is for tomorrow because you’re definitely going to need it in the morning.” He said knowing the horrible hangover that he knew was awaiting you. You nodded and whispered thank you. “We will get you the help you need, love you kid,” Dean said as he gave your leg a pat. “Thank you, love you both.” You said as they walked out leaving a tiny lamp on and the door open so they could easily check on you through out the night.

we get more of an expanded idea too via xzs post of the activity for the release. it mentioned a description. you can substitute the we to us if that reads better to you:

Ony strolled across campus thinking about his interaction with you. He knew he brought this upon himself by hooking up with Annie. He saw Annie walking across the courtyard heading to class. He ran up to her to ask her a simple question.

"Yo Annie wait up real quick!" Ony yelled. Annie stopped and turned to Ony and rolled her eyes. "How can I help you Ony. I have to get to class" "Yah yah whatev Imma be quick. Why did you come over to my place that day really."

Annie rolled her eyes and said "Oh you mean *giggles* Ony Ony Ony anyway. Im sure the question you wanna ask is why I told you about Y/N and that guy from her class. Honestly, it did look that way and Y/N was being vague about him when I asked. But then I realised she wasn't interested in him. Here's a fun fact to why I did it Y/N knew I was interested in you when we all met first week of Uni but she went out with you anyway so I dubbed her. Yah yah I'm wrong but *shrugs* Oh well. Anyway bye" Ony stood there in shock. All these years he didn't know Annie was being shady with you. He saw the signs but you and everyone said that's just how Annie behaves. Ony turns around and practicvally walk right into Mikasa who looks furious.

Ony immediately thought "Damn Kasa looks pissed tf off" Mikasa looked right passed Ony to Annie's back strolling gleefully to her class. "Ony tell me what I heard come out of Annie's mouth isn't real. cause if it is. I swear.." Mikasa pulled out her phone and called Eren to meet her on the other side of the courtyard. Ony wasn't in the mood for confrontation or drama, he wanted to go home, chill maybe go to Armin's party later to clear his head. Eren came over with the quickness with Connie in tow.

Mikasa started going off telling Connie and Eren about what she overheard from Ony's and Annie's conversation. "Ony, is what Mikasa saying the truth cause this changes the whole thing up." Eren said looking between Mikasa and Ony. Ony stared back at Eren then at Connie and Mikasa "It does but it doesn't I still cheated on Y/N regardless. It's..Anyway guys I gotta go home."

"To smoke weed and cry again." Connie blurted out. Ony stared at Connie and was ready to square up but then he knew Connie was just telling it to him straight, disrespectful but he knew connie was a real one especially to him. "Nah. I'm going to the mall to get a new fit. You guys know Armin parties are insane." "Oh, so you coming then" Eren said with a smirk. Ony laughed and walked off yelling "Like imma miss it."

Ony finally got home from the mall. He finally got his hands on the Spiderverse Jordan 1's he's been wanting. He got a Represent T shirt and a True Religion Jeans paired with His watch and chain and bracelet. He didn't know if you were gonna show or ot but he decided to not let it bother him too much. He sat out on his balcony and rolled up a blunt and scrolled through his IG. He saw the usual IG baddies in his DMs tryna move to him. He wasn't interested in dating anyone. He scrolled through his Spotify and pulled up Asap Rocky's -I Smoked Away My Brain  and got ready for Armin's party.

Ony rolled up to Armin's party 11:30pm, blunt hanging out his mouth as usual. He was greeted by upper classman Hange, Levi, Zeke and others. He grabbed himself a shot of wreys and nephews and took it down in one go. He walked around looking for Eren or Armin to let them know he's here.

He found Mikasa, Sasha, Pieck, Eren, Connie and Jean chilling up near the makeshift DJ booth where Armin is shouting and acting a fool as usual. As he walks closer. His eyes connect with you. You were there with them laughing decked out in a short black dress paired with a pair of red heels.

Your eyes connected with Ony somehow you were both matching in some odd way, both wearing red. You were here to chill, turn up hang with friends and not beef with Ony. You did the mature thing and greeted him. Everyone around you looked a bit shook. You disregarded their reactions and took the blunt hanging from Ony's mouth and took a toke and handed it back to him.

He just stood there staring at you then he smirked. Annie walked into the fold and wrapped her hand around Ony's waist. You were seeing red. Before Ony rolled up Mikasa told you that Annie isn't to be trusted and she a messy ass hoe. You watched Ony glare down at Annie mouthing "WTF are you on". Your mind was running wild. Why is Annie all up on Ony like that? Are they fuckin'. You glanced at Mikasa who was already making her way over to Annie. Eren tried to pull her back, but she pulled away.

"Annie, really. You really trying to move to Ony after you fucked Y/N over." Mikasa was all up in Annie's face pointing her manicured nail at her temple. Before things escalated, Ony sighed and walked off knowing he didn't want to get mixed up in anymore drama.

Pickles the Drummer

Pickles has a pretty sizable repertoire of instrument proficiency — bass, guitar, keys… a brief stint with an alto sax, as a bit… and currently, drums. He’s got a soft spot in his heart for all of it, each instrument representing a specific era of his life, but he’s found himself enjoying the drums the most. It’s strong, supportive — every song needs a beat! It takes a specific personality to play drums well, and it’s one that he both embodies within himself, and covets when in others.

This is all to say — he finds it very hot that you play drums.

And as a man who appreciates a nice set of legs, he very much likes the effects drumming has on your calves. Your calves might be sore after a long practice session, but that’s nothing compared to the bites he’ll leave later in the night.

Despite being in Dethklok, he doesn’t really get to talk guitar often — Toki, Murderface, and Pickles can play, sure, but the former two don’t give a fuck about technique, and Pickles just doesn’t care about it enough to chat about it outside of the studio.

He loves hearing about all of the little musical decisions you’ve contributed to in each song — don’t think he didn’t catch the time signature change there. Just a single bar, why? Or this section here, that was a reprise of the first song in the album — how are they connected? He catches all the little details, and he wants to know all about them. In this same vein, he’s also great to bounce ideas off of when you’re in a rut… but be careful! His ideas are damn-good, and at this rate, he might just need a spot in the writer’s credits.

It’s very fun to just sit down and jam with him, passing the melody back and forth as your improvised tune grows. He calls it practice — and in a sense, it is — but really, he just likes playing with you.

He pushes to have your tours alternate with Dethklok’s so he can be at all of your shows, and vice versa — you have his full attention during your solos, and he’s not above slapping the boys to get them to shuts up so he can hear you in all of your glory.

He’s pretty stationary on stage — such is the downside of working with a bunch of uncoordinated dumbasses. (He is not exempt from this.) But if you have the agility and focus to bounce around on stage while playing? Oh, he didn’t think he could fall in love any further. He didn’t think he was capable of being starstruck, but you’ve proven him wrong tenfold. He’ll happily brave a couple thousand rabid fans for the pit experience — sorry to all the people stuck behind his towering self, but being backstage is nothing compared to barrier. The flashing lights, choking fog and towering flames only make you look more beautiful than ever, and he can’t help but reach out to you when you waggle your fingers at the crowd.

Personally offended if you don’t throw him at least one pick on tour. He does not care that he is 1.) Dating you, and 2.) Has limitless access to your stash. It’s the principle.

Finally, someone else who appreciates a good bass line. A band is nothing without the bass, especially metal, and it’s nice to talk to someone else who understands that. Especially after being AJFA’d out off all their most recent albums.

Playing bass is a very thankless job — you have to support the entire band, giving them structure and direction without any of the thanks that the rhythm guitar or the drums get. The most, and I mean the most that he gets, is a solo at the end of the show. Which is fun, but you know… it’s very much a job that you take because you love the big picture, not the details.

My dears, it seems that you might be having quite a mixed bag of dreams and nightmares lately. Either that or you haven’t been feeling well-rested. The "Ghoulcy" Songs of Fallout (1/4)

AKA The Three Times Ghoulcy was Obvious in the Song Choice + The One Time it Wasn't. (To me at least)

I am surprised to find on every watch through a fun little tidbit of meaning I hadn’t caught before. It came to my attention that the song choices are always *very* deliberate. Which led me to another new Ghoulcy discovery.

However, as per my usual, this rant of mine got away from me and I’ve decided to divide it up by song. This is part 1 of 4 that I will be releasing sequentially over the next couple days.

Ready to go on this wild little ride with me? Well, saddle up, because here we go!

Now at first glance this first song doesn't scream “Ghoulcy” but every time I started to remove it from the selections it just didn’t sit right because it’s so irrevocably connected in setting the tone for the next two songs which most definitely have Ghoulcy written all over them (for better or for worse). So without further ado:

“A Man that’s Sad and Lonely”

“We’ll make a film about a man that’s sad and lonely

And all I gotta do is act naturally”

This was such a perfect song choice for Cooper Howard’s journey to becoming the Ghoul, I’m sure we all can recognize that.

But why place this song here? And what is the connection to Ghoulcy? In the flashback, Barb and Cooper are still together and he is still blissfully ignorant. 

Well, let’s remember what triggers the flashback: the Ghoul and Lucy are traveling through the wastes together when he sees the Vault Boy (representing him, the fool) and he blows its head clean off. 

In the following memory sequence, things appear benign enough in the moment. Except now looking back, he’s reminded to what extent he was played a fool by Barb. He knows she eventually betrays his trust in ways that would end with him heartbroken and divorced. 

Well, I hope you come to see me in the movie Then I know that you will plainly see The biggest fool that's ever hit the big time And all I gotta do is act naturally.

In this clip she literally cues her coworkers to lie to her husband over something that was, in the grand scheme of things, largely inconsequential. I don’t think she needed to lie about this and yet…she does. Those little things are often the ones that cut deepest. Sure, originally she thought her secrecy was protecting him (and Janey) for “the greater good” but I think this is a subtle yet telling example of how that devolved, ending their relationship and leading him to become “a man that’s sad and lonely”. 

Well all this is obvious enough and has been noted before. But I believe Lucy with her vault suit and vault ideals are definitely opening these old wounds. She’s the (unwitting) catalyst, prying him back open, causing him to remember and deal with his past. And right now she’s just salt in those wounds. 

Given Lucy’s interactions with the Ghoul are what pulled the trigger on this, in my eyes this marks the start of “Ghoulcy”. After all, what’s a song without its intro? 

It’s also important to note that in *all* of the songs I’m listing– without exception–the respective application is always referencing the ghoul’s perspective. This will be significant later on.

today on grailfinders we’re makinig Kyokutei Bakin, whom I swear we did already but clearly not! like, I have their character sheet already to go, and I swear I remember writing this already, but that’s not gonna stop me from doing it again!

bakin’s a Creation Bard to make a big ol’ doggo (or several smaller ones), as well as a bit of a Paladin for the v fance glowy sword attacks in her final ascension.

bakin (bacon to her friends) was a human, but now she has that dog in her, so she’s a Kalashtar bc that dog has that god in it. that gives her +2 charisma n +1 constitution, plus a dual mind for advantage on all wisdom saves! if thats not enough u can set up a mind link with another creature, letting you two speak telepathically for an hour, but only to one creature at a time, this isn’t four swords adventure.

you’re severed from dreams too, so you have to sleep but you’re immune to magical stuff that messes with dreams. which is like, one spell. idk why they needed to make this a whole thing.

also ur a guild artisan, which is pretty obvious. that gives you proficiency with insight and persuasion!

ability scores!

charisma is your highest score. it’s how good you write, how strong your dogs are, and your connection to godliness. after that is dexterity! you aren’t super muscley, so I assume you’re using lighter weapons. I mean ur literally using light weapons eventually but u know what I mean. after that is constitution. you gotta be able to make those all-nighters if you want your stuff written on time, duh. after that is strength bc we can’t let it get too low if we wanna multiclass, so your intelligence and wisdom aren’t that great. writing conventions several centuries ago probably weren’t that great, and you did kinda become evil for a bit in your intro event.

class levels

1. bard 1: first level bards get all sorts of skills, like performance, arcana, and nature! you’re a writer, a god, and a dog. makes sense. also you’re good with Dexterity and Charisma saves.

you also get bardic inspiration which you can throw out to people as a bonus action, adding a d6 to one of their attack rolls or skill checks. you can do this Charisma Modifier times per day.

but you also get spells! you can cast ‘em using your charisma, and you get all sorts. message for the chaldea-standard commlink, vicious mockery, charm person, and heroism are all alterations you can make to friends or enemies by using their true names, weakening their saves, making them friendly, or making them braver, respectively.

2. bard 2: at second level you get another true name nonsense spell, command. they’re only one-word commands, but at least now your dogs will know how to sit, stay, shake, etc.

you’re also a Jack of All Trades now, adding half your proficiency bonus to any skill check you’re not proficient in. you also get a song of rest for like an extra d6 of healing during short rests, but don’t expect that to scale well.

3. Bard 3: at level three, you graduate from the College of Creation, adding a Mote of Potential to your inspirations. if your friend uses their die on a check, they can roll two and pick the better. if they use it to attack, they deal that much damage to nearby creatures as well. if they use it on a save, they get temporary HP too!

but even better, you can now perform a Performance of Creation, letting you make a medium or smaller object of your choosing once a day. look, when you have eight of them dog treats get expensive.

speaking of, you can cast Animal Messenger now, turning one animal… into a messenger. I know, it was impossible to tell from the title.

oh right, third level bards also get Expertise in two skills, doubling your proficiency in Performance and Nature.

4. Bard 4: at fourth level use your first Ability Score Improvement to round out your Charisma and bump up your Strength so we can multiclass later. you can also cast Friends now for more true name shenanigans, or cast Locate Object to.. you get the idea. but at least now you can track down your puppies.

5. Bard 5: fifth level’s the best level for bard, giving you a bigger inspiration die, as well as making you a Font of Inspiration so your inspiration recharges on short rests instead of long ones.

finally, you get the spiciest true-name shenanigan of all, Bestow Curse. it can do literally anything as long as it’s bad for the target and your DM says it vibes with the spell slot you spent.

6. Bard 6: at sixth level you can use countercharm, but that’s bad. Animating Performance is good though, letting you turn any object you see into a dancing object. this way you can write up a dog statue, then make it an actual dog. we’ll get a much less jank dog to ride later, but speed beats ease of use today.

you also get a little Lesser Restoration in your life, because Bakin is yet another servant with debuff immunity tacked onto a skill.

7. Paladin 1: at first level, paladins can use Divine Sense to sense good and evil things like, say, mystical beads of purity or whatever the hell you put on those collars. you can also Lay on Hands to restore HP equal to five times your paladin level, or you can use five points of healing to cure a disease or poison.

8. Paladin 2: second level paladins get first level spells! you still use charisma to cast, but now you can prepare new spells every time you rest. your spell slots are also a bit weird now, check your phb for all of that.

with the new spell list, you can use all sorts of spells for those eight benevolences, like Bless for extra HP, Divine Favor for more damage, Shield of Faith for stronger AC, or Protection from Evil and Good to prevent possessions and the like.

or you can use your spell slots on Divine Smites, adding 2d8 radiant damage for first level spells, plus an extra die of damage for every level above that, up to a max of 5d8.

and of course you get a Fighting Style. as a Blessed Warrior, you can use Word of Radiance to write so good it hurts people or Guidance to help yourself (the old guy) around the house.

9. Bard 7: seventh level bards get fourth level spells, like Freedom of Movement. gods go where they want, dogs go where they want, so a doggod’s gotta be free to do whatever, right?

10. Bard 8: max out your Charisma, and get Charm Monster to charm that monstrous dog. we’re almost at the non-jank dogs I promise.

11. Bard 9: ninth level bard, fifth level spells. Skill Empowerment lets you give expertise to someone who’s merely proficient in a skill. writing tips from a famous author can usually be pretty enlightening.

also song of rest is better but I doubt 1d8’s changing any fights by now.

12. Bard 10: tenth level bards get d10s for inspiration, as well as another round of Expertise in Insight and Arcana. you also get to cast True Strike, a sure sign I was running out of cantrips to pick back whenever I made this build.

more importantly, you learn some Magical Secrets this level, letting you pick up spells from any spell list! grab Flock of Familiars for all those small dogs you need, as well as Find Steed for the big’un. it’s a shame the dogs showed up this late in the build, but when have dogs ever come in when you called for them?

13. Bard 11: we called the paladin spells eight benevolences, but we only really got four. well, I think your new spell Heroes’ Feast more than makes up the difference. everyone who sits down to eat get extra HP, advantage on wisdom saves, become immune to poison and fright, and get cured of all diseases and poisons affecting them. officially it’s food, but you could always reflavor it into a book club.

14. Bard 12: now that we finally have a mount, we can get Mounted Combatant. with this, you get advantage on attacking anything smaller than your mount, you can take hits for your good boy when he gets targeted, and he has evasion while you ride him, so aoe attacks won’t him hurt nearly as much. you’re still out of luck though.

15. Bard 13: song of rest’s better again but fuck that, you can cast Mordenkainen’s Sword. it can’t use smites, but it does 3d10 damage every swing and you don’t even have to touch it to kill people with it, it’s so sick.

16. Bard 14: with our last college bonus Creative Crescendo, you can create multiple objects at once, up to five at a time. only one of those items can be bigger than small sized, but that still means you can make collars for more than half your dog swarm at a time now.

you also get another round of magical secrets- Tasha’s Otherworldly Guise lets you go full-goddess, a feat few can ever manage, and Locate Creature lets you track dogs directly, even if their chip’s been stolen.

17. Bard 15: fifteenth level bards have d12s for inspiration, and you can Teleport now to finally move on to the next island. yes, we’ve been stuck on the first part of your even for fifteen levels- I’m sure that would be boring in D&D, but that’s another reason to be happy things don’t translate 1 to 1 when swapping games.

18. Bard 16: use our last ASI to bump up your Dexterity for better AC and more accurate sword swings. when you’re not using a magic sword, anyway.

19. Bard 17: yeah song of rest but also ninth level spell slots! with Foresight, we get the ultimate benevolence- whoever you hit with this spell can’t be surprised and gets advantage on all attacks, checks, and saves, plus attacking creatures always have disadvantage for up to eight hours. always go full godmode, it’s awesome.

20. Bard 18: our last level of bard grants even more Magical Secrets. Geas uses someone’s true name to force them to act according to your will, or at least avoid something you tell them not to do. Blade of Disaster is an even cooler magical sword to do your noble phantasm justice. it deals 4d12 damage a hit, crits three times as often with super damaging crits, and it makes two attacks a turn. it slices, dices, and even juliennes fries.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

Bards and paladins are both great at supporting allies- sticking the two together rarely goes wrong in that regard. add in the fact we have some of the strongest buffs in the game, and any party would be happy to have you.

Like all bards, Bakin’s got sick skills, with ways to improve them even further if needed. you’ll excel at just about anything you want to do outside of combat.

with a 3d printer at your command, plus all sorts of mind-controlled and created minions, you’ll have no shortage of ways to tackle whatever problems you face in your adventures. yeah, the bard encourages you to play creatively, go figure.

Cons:

at lot of your buffs, as well as your puppy horde, require concentration to work. not only does this limit the amount of power you can wield at any one point, but your constitution isn’t great either, so there’s a decent chance you might cast a spell just to waste it the next time you get slapped.

mounts and minions aren’t good in direct fights, so you kind of have to play creatively to get use out of them. thank goodness you have all that magical sword stuff for head-on combat, right?

oh yeah your combat stats suck. your strongest non-magical attack has a +3 to hit, and you don’t really have the HP or AC to get into melee range all that often unless you want to get split into eight pieces too. you can pump out serious damage with mordenkainen’s sword, blade of disaster, and your smites, but it’s a high-risk, high-reward kind of fighting.

Remus sang into the microphone, strumming his guitar. The other marauders watched him play, as this was the new song Remus wanted to present to them. Immediately, Sirius knew who it was about. You.

You were in a relationship with a very toxic man. He was controlling and easily jealous. He didn’t like that you were friends with the Marauders and was threatened by how Remus felt about you. Although you denied your boyfriend’s accusations because you were oblivious.

Remus finished the song and the other marauders seemed to enjoy it. Sirius liked it too but pulled Remus aside.

This frustrated Remus, he finally got his feelings out on paper and Sirius was warning him about repercussions. “It’s fine, Padfoot. Okay?” He said it more like a statement than a question.

With that, you boyfriend punched Remus in the face, knocking him to the ground.

Stepping outside for a cigarette yourself, you witnessed the entire encounter. You rushed over to Remus and went to his aid.

“Oh my god! Remus are you alright?” You asked, cupping his cheek. You turned to your boyfriend, “What the hell is wrong with you?” You asked angrily.

Disclaimer: this review is from a shipper's perspective and it's objective is to rebut a few misconceptions about 7.

When I first heard the song was gonna be titled seven, I rolled my eyes- like how many times are these boys going to pander to Army with the whole 0T7 agenda right? Here they with yet another song about how much they love eachother like come on! I love BTS, I do but- I mean yall had the tattoos and the cute meet ups, and heart wrenching sappy goodbyes- isn't that enough why yall gotta make yet another song about your bond and friendship WHYYYYYY yall don't have nothing else to talk about? I thought season two was yall on tour grown grown shit- how is this growth if you singing bout the same thing over and over- right? BOY WAS I WRONG ABOUT THAT!

It's a good thing I didn't come out here to rant about that cos that would have been the biggest embarrassment of my life and I would be eating my words right about now while penning several apology letters to Jungkook- anonymously.

Seven thus, to me, is surprisingly good. Not at all what I had thought the song would be about so when I tell yall I was screaming up and down in my living room surprised and amazed clapping and cheering on as if this was the best thing I ever heard- yall wouldn't even understand.

It is why the first thing I love about the song is the title and how creative it is in as much as it doubles as a play on the word and teases out his connection to Bangtan- say whatever you want but I think that was hella genius and creative and reflects Jungkook's personality for someone who has always been creative in this way from his use of color contrasts in his GCFs to tell a story right down to choosing ABCD as his IG handle.

The MV had Jungkook written all over it- playful, goofy fun yet delightfully hot- it's the memes for me.

It was nice to see him be himself in a music video- nothing felt forced and contrived to me nor seemed out of character and that's what gave the song the flair I think it has. Jungkook pulled this off smoothly.

His acting was spot on- I loved the female character in there (in spite of yall saying they didn't gat chemistry) that's just because she's my type so thank you for that Jungkook. Mean cold emotionally unavailable, physically intimidating- yea no, I'm in love with her not gonna lie🤧

And I don't know what it is but she reminds me of Park Jimin too. And I sorta kinda like Jimin soo🥴

Either way, she invokes the same feelings I get when I look at Park Jimin- strong alpha female😌 may be it's because they both give off masc/fem androgyny energy and I like that shit- eat it up nom

And I know alot of people aren't too enthused by the plot of the MV- a young man hopelessly in love with their partner to the point of clinginess and obsession- look, may be if I were looking at this concept from an outside in perspective I would find issues there with that narrative too but as some one who has been following these men almost through out their music career and have had the privilege of consuming content beyond the music they do- I kinda find it hilarious 😂

Hilarious because it's everything fans, and BTS accuse Kook of- it's giving me war flashbacks to the perila leaf conversation they had, to all the times he and Jimin have been caught sneaking into each other's hotel rooms because CLINGY, to Jimin complaining he comes into his room at 1am just to sit on the bed and do nothing, to all the theories about Kook being the clingy one in Jikook- hate to say I told ya😆

It's almost as if he's saying we'll folks yall are not wrong I kinda is clingy and I'm not ashamed🤣🤣🤣🤣

He's a hopeless romantic and he hasn't made that a secret at all. To me, what this is is he's owning the narrative- that is if this was a conscious decision and artistic choice by him.

I had to look up the director of the MV and this is the first time in my life I've genuinely cared about the director behind any project for that matter cos how much of a coincidence is this to cast characters who complement each other so well and craft a narrative which is not a narrative at all!

Their website says they blend "youth and pop culture with high concept storytelling." Well they pulled that off. The plot is simple and easy to follow and reflects pop culture. I wouldn't say this is exactly ground breaking though, because it's been done over and over again- but I think Jungkook rejuvenated the concept by adding his own take and personality to it. It was done well and I must give him high praise for this.

If you are a fan of pop culture and pop music this is consumable as fuck. The song is really catchy. And that's just the thing, there is a market for this genre of music whether you like it or not and he doesn't have to cater to everyone's taste all at once. However to me, this is a step in the right direction for his career especially if he is to position himself as a global artist.

People may know BTS but not everyone knows Jeon Jungkook and this right here is him carving a niche out for himself. He is not trying to ride on the success of BTS. He is not trying to be the solo version of BTS. He is trying to be JEON JUNGKOOK.

His music is gonna play in every teens living room, every adults bedroom, in the club on the streets- he's reaching places even BTS struggled to reach and that's the power of his brand.

He's making waves and he's only just begun. And it's about damn time too!

I don't have much to say about Latto other than give that bae some grammy just for the titties😩 the explicit version of the song makes so much sense why she was so freakylicious up on a BTS song😭😭😭😭

First I was like gurl what? Slurp what??? Then I heard the fucking you right version- I said carry on. My mistake chilee. Jungkook ma n*ga you wild.

It's refreshing to see him step into his power and own his image and his brand and control the narratives- if not capitalize on them.

Overall I think this was a great pop song and Jungkook carried it so well. He's gonna go places. It's high from here and nothing less.

While on the subject, let me address some of the remarks people have been making about the song. To anyone complaining this is yet another pop song- with all due respect, he is not Beethoven he is not an Opera singer he is a freakn pop artist 😩

If yall are tired of pop music just say so and go but don't come for a pop artist doing what a pop artist is supposed to do- and don't let a lie slip out of your mouth it's a great pop song that bops. Seven freakn days a week.

No other kpop artist have come this close to breaking into a western market much less come this close to dominating it. And to some of us, this has always been the dream. I have spent so many sleepless nights meditating and praying for BTS particularly Jikook to gain a strong foothold in the western music market, beyond Korea and Asia and when finally they are making attempts and moves towards that goal yall want to tear him down- fuck yall opps HE IS FREE BITCH.

At this point I really don't care whether people like the song or not because we have moved past that stage where their in their progress in their career was contingent on people liking their shit. How are you gonna like a song if you've never even heard it? Now more than ever, what's important is reaching as many listeners as possible and to that end I think they are all on a right truck.

Jungkook is out to make a name for himself and solidify himself as one of the top pop artist in the world and I don't think his language or country should hold him back- asking him to stick to Korean songs is holding him back from his full potential. Faulting him for for branching out and reaching for the stars is equally holding him back and putting him in a box- well burn that box would you.

I really hope seven is the first of many English pop songs he will make because we want to see more of him, all of him and especially what he can contribute to the genre he dabbles in. His best is yet to come.

And for those complaining seven is nothing new- understand IT IS NEW FOR JUNGKOOK. It is new for many of us who are seeing him do this for the FIRST TIME AS A SOLO ARTIST.

His English keeps improving with each new song, his delivery gets better and better- yall just leave him alone please and thank you.

My final thoughts, as the main vocalist of BTS HE SURELY LIVED UP TO HIS REPUTATION WITH SEVEN. HIS PERFORMANCE WAS AMAZING, COSTUME LOOKED GREAT, SET WAS FANTASTIC AND HIS VOCALS WAS FLAWLESS.

If this is the start we are off to a good start.

The MV to me gave him opportunity to showcase more of his goofy personality, to show people he really doesn't take himself too seriously and has a great sense of humor.

As a performer he nailed his role. Definitely understood the assignment. And it's a good thing they casted a strong female lead cos them damsels in distress be getting on my nerves.

Do we need more of this? Yes AND YESS AND HELL YES!!!!

Between Jimin's Angel and this, you guys have no idea how excited I am for their journey. I want to see more collabs, I want to see them take more risks and build their individual brands.

Jungkook should definitely consider acting. A cameo in a popular American series wouldn't hurt his career.

to those of us who are back at work, here is a treat for you. well aside from that gorgeous video posted by ybo official for us. let us take a moment to appreciate his team because they have leveled up in terms of editing and posting. a lot of fans gave them so much grief for the past year but they got better!

let’s start with the BGMs used, which caught the interest of some fans. i really do believe that the music in his videos don’t necessarily mean anything, i would believe more of a connection can be seen in wyb’s qq music account. lol. especially with douyin, cause the team would most likely look up the popular audio BGMs. as for the one posted on Weibo, they used the reprise version of odesza’s line of sight. It’s so beautiful. It somehow fits the vibe of the scenery, the melancholy and hope. Then you have WYB’s face that made it 1000000x better.

the message of the song is in line with yibo’s too!

the next one on douyin, is from the drama MY DEMON which is really popular right now. so in true douyin fashion, you gotta use something trending as BGM. and the tune somehow first the dramatic vibe of the video too so it’s a win/win.

there are other things noticed like that grafitti with i love you on it. and that floating thing with the number 5 and green light. i guess sometimes we think that the stuff in the background don’t matter but sometimes it’s intentional.

this editing similarity between xzs and ybo. a long running cpn in this fandom. i know for a fact that xzs does their own editing and gg usually gives his ideas. they don’t outsource it to anyone else. so i can’t give the explanation that they hire the same editing team. tho this kind of effect is not exclusive to either of them. so is ybo team taking lessons form xzs? 🤔 either way, i’m lovin the upgrade and cinematic quality of yibo’s videos lately. it fits the actor yibo brand perfectly.

This song is very inanimate insanity coded, and by that I mean MePhone specifically. (Of course, it's a song about Taco and I'm Making it about MePhone, that's what I do.)

Healing is a process, Mepad knows that well, and seeing everything that's happened is probably why MePad quit. Besides the terrible work conditions he's put through, MePad just can't stand everyone being dragged through the mud. Taco was so right, the game's getting really serious and it's taking a toll on everyone (including MePhone, which MePad definitely got front-row seats too). I feel even more justified in saying it after looking at the resignation scene again. MePad is thoroughly done with MePhone's shit, and for good reason. He hints at it actually happening with the "'First without' you have no idea", being connected to him not having an assistant for more than half of s3, and the "for half a day the world actually felt peaceful" referring to the s3 finale. Or at least that's all I'm assuming. But to them, it's only been a couple hours..?

I'mm soooo fuckin' lost, but my theory is that he either alt-reality'd that season or time travelled, or something. That's just not makin' sense, especially with this happening tho

I just can't think of any other way that this would make sense and be canonical other than MePhone himself went into an alternate timeline to do s3. That does give me fic ideas though...

Anyways... Connecting it back to MePad and everything though, I find it both funny and saddening to see that he's gone back to s2 persona (when thinking about it in terms of my theory). It's so obvious that it's a front, from the turn of his heel to change topics away from his "vacation" with the pained "BUUUTTT ANYWAY", to the short pause before going "WELL!" after MePad's resignation, to the "And if you're ready to talk" thing being shot with his cover-up is another-

You don't need me to tell you it's a front, everyone and their mama knows, but I'll continue to do so 'cause I physically have to, or else I'll explode. You can tell it really tears him up from how MePhone reacted when he first saw MePad.

LOOK AT THE SHOCK ON HIS PIXELY FACE!! He probably thought MePad fully abandoned him or something before his "vacation" and this was whiplash that it wasn't THEN MePad ACTUALLY left?!? Of course it's gotta hurt, but s2 means he's got the host role to fill, and that means being a snarky sack of shit (I say that with love, of course).

That also paired with the look of guilt… shame in this scene…. AGH

She's so right here by the way, the years he spent on iii for "something new" shows that he's not trying to move away. Sure it got him to come back to s2 in the first place, but now that he's here, what did he actually learn? Actions speak louder than words, and so far, he's been just the same s2 asshole host we remember. Though you know what could change all that..?
