The star OC, Gabriel, isn't mine, but he belongs to an old friend, the same old friend who collabed with me on A Triangle in the Stars, which this story is a companion to. :3

Not sure if this is open to reblog for anyone so I hope this is alright, but here are some of my darlings👉👈 Unfortunately I didn't draw that much this year because I was awfully busy with university projects and later on my internship, plus I did struggle with art block at times, but I have a few pictures that I really love!

I still really like this drawing of Selina and Heinz I did back in April, especially because Selina turned out so good here (like, she actually looks how I perceive myself). Idk I feel like I never nailed her look like this in any of my drawings afterwards😭 I hope I can get there again because I feel like I improved on other aspects of my art though!

Another drawing I really like is this of Davy and Selena, I like the calm vibes of the scene and how the expressions came out here, it feels so emotional and loving💕 Also given it was my first time drawing Davy he turned out surprisingly decent I think.

These two are probably my favourites out of them <3 As I didn't draw that much, the following ones are pretty much ... all other selfship drawings I did the past year xD But I'm glad that almost all of my mains got some attention💕 (except for the Horned King😭 I've only had him as an f/o for about two months though, I really hope I can finally learn how to draw him soon!)

You were sure that you missed your chance, and it was too late as you ran through the airport, hoping Hector hadn’t boarded yet. You sprinted all the way to the gate you knew he was supposed to be at, but it was empty. You looked out the large windows and saw the plane that Hector was on running full speed down the runway, and you knew you missed your chance. It was too late.

“There's a million words I could have said,” You whispered to yourself, but you hoped somehow, someway, that Hector could hear it. “You might still be mine.”

It was a bad fight before this match. Well, even before the match! The team decided to fly out to Italy a couple of days before so they could have a little fun in Milan. He was complaining about his knee being sore, but he still wanted to go out with the boys. You advised, as a physical therapist in training, for him to take it easy for a couple of days and rest his leg. That way, his knee would be well-rested and ready for the match.

He had a major case of FOMO (fear of missing out), and it all spiraled out of control. He said some things he didn’t mean, you said some things you didn’t mean, and in the end, he stormed out of your shared apartment to stay with Marc for the night. You called him the following morning, only to be met with his voicemail. 

You waited a while to give him space before calling him again that night. All you received back was a text saying, “I’m going.” There was nothing you could do, you thought. You begged Marc for the flight details because you wanted to apologize. If Hector wasn’t going to answer the phone, you would try to catch him before he left.

Well, you didn’t. That much was obvious as you watched the flight he was on take off into the sky. You could break down in the middle of the airport, but you swallowed your tears, planning to hold them until you at least got to your car. 

You turned around, and there he was. He was looking down as you ran into his chest as you let your tears flow, not caring where you were anymore. Hector stepped back at the impact, but he quickly wrapped his arms around you tightly as he cried into your shoulder.

“I’m so sorry,” He started, but you pulled back, shaking your head.

“No, I’m sorry,” You countered, reaching up to cup his face in your hand. “I try to look out for you, but I need to remember you are a grown adult, and you know your limits more. I was wrong to ever doubt it, and I couldn’t live with myself if I let you slip away. You’re the one I need, and if I forget to tell you, you're all I think about. With a million words that I should have said, I wish I could tell you always.”
