Broke: Daruk calls Link ‘Little Guy’ because he’s a Hylian and therefore smaller than him.
Woke: Daruk calls Link ‘Little Guy’ because Link is so objectively short even for a Hylian that even Daruk has noticed

ok i need to get this off my chest abt totk's dungeon soundtracks this isnt necessarily a criticism but just a... idk man its confusing hang on
ok. totk's dungeon themes. theyre good im not going to lie they arent my favorite of the series but totk did deliver some good dungeon themes. what i'm confused about is the choice to use the champion's and divine beast's leitmotifs in the dungeons, like using daruks theme and bits of rudania's theme for the fire temple. that's the first that comes to mind cuz thats the one i like best but i think it was especially noticeable to me for the wind temple, the water temple's theme has some similar instrumentation and some very similar sounding phrases and when i see comments or people talking abt the dungeon themes it is very common to see people talk about the champion and divine beast leitmotifs being used.
and like. fine it sounds nice there is an emotional connection there if you have played botw but like. why are their fucking leitmotifs in totk's dungeon themes???
if you give a character or something a leitmotif, then that little string of notes represents that character or location or concept. usage of that leitmotif is therefore intrinsically tied to that character or whatever. this worked out with zelda's theme throughout the series, esp in totk when it's given the instrumentation of the dragon's themes, so that musical phrase at that moment basically says 'zelda, but a dragon' and like. yknow. leitmotif that literally represents something.
i believe the wind temple's theme incorporates some of rito villages theme, and in turn rito village having the same melody as dragon roost island makes sense, that's effectively a motif meant to represent the rito, like the reoccurring zora's domain and goron city motifs throughout the series, or hyrule castle. when characters have themes in past zelda games that play at different times, it means something about the character being referenced. midna's lament using midna's theme to show that this scene is about midna, she is in danger. fi's different themes playing when she is the center of attention or her leitmotif referenced in botw/totk when she literally makes subtle cameos. linebeck's theme only every plays in scenes where he has some sort of big moment or in the final boss theme because it's only fair that the final boss theme include the motif that represents him because he is the final boss. groose's theme shows up various times in his little scenes (and i believe there might be hints of it in later imprisoned themes?? i'd have to check but it would make sense since he's helping)
so... if you reuse a leitmotif that is tied to something, then reasonably that means that the context in which it's being reused is somehow related to or concerning what that leitmotif represents.
but... daruk's theme and some bits reminiscent of rudania's theme play in the fire temple's theme. reasonably, i would hear this and be like, ah, so this has something to do with daruk, or the divine beast? the usage of his character leitmotif suggests that he is related to this somehow. thats... usually the point of using a character leitmotif like was done in the fire temple's theme!
and yet the champions and divine beasts are not so much as referenced in totk's stories, and you can't even try to the point of their themes being used due to the new sages being relatives, because tulin is not related to revali- he doesn't even get the great eagle bow until after the dungeon, and still no reference to revali is made when he gets it.
so then... why are we referencing botw's champions if they do not matter? why not use the sage's leitmotifs in the dungeon themes instead? the dungeons are much more related to the new sages, and it would allow players to become more familiar to that leitmotif, and would further tie the experience to that dungeon with its related sage, instead of tying it to dead characters that mean jack shit to the story of totk.
it's just really weird that they use motifs from the champions and divine beasts, since that won't click for people who didn't play botw, and it just calls back to stuff not important to totk anyways. the divine beasts have literally no relation to the dungeons, the champions are barely even relevant to the world in totk. i get that the leitmotifs were used as like... maybe some sort of extra pre-existing racial connection motifs, but... use the sage's themes? don't use leitmotifs that have absolutely nothing to do with this game or it's story? sure it sounds nice but the meaning behind those leitmotifs make no actual sense in this new context, unless you're trying to suggest that they actually have a different meaning than being the motifs of the characters and locations that were originally what they were used for.

i love that the memories in BOTW and scenes in Age Of Calamity show Link doing dares and committing to random challenges people tell him to do (him eating the rock meat(?) from Daruk as an example.)
it actually justifies why Link is doing all of these random side quests for people otw to defeat Ganon.
like yes i need to kill the reincarnation of evil that my princess is holding at bay, but first i gotta catch ten chickens for this guy cause he asked me to.

No matter what anyone says I refuse to ever beleive that either Mipha or Revali from Botw/AoC were adults.
Have you seen how small they both were?
The only blood relatives of Mipha we see, Sidon and Dorophan - are fucking enormous as adults. Even the regular sized Zora are considerably taller than Mipha as adults.
Even disregarding the fledgling markings theory stuff with Revali - dude is tiny compared to the other Rito. No other Rito (other than the actual children) is as short as him, in the past or in present.
Yeah, perhaps they were both just short - but it seems significantly more believable to me to conclude that they were teenagers.
Zelda turned 17 the day the Calamity started. She had been 16 up until then. We don't know Links age - but he's shorter than her, by all accounts he could well be 15/16.
This is, at it's core, a game for kids. Like any kids media, the hero's are usually....well, kids. It helps the young target players feel empowered, like they could also be a hero.
Looking at it from an adult perspective, of course you're like surely not - surely they wouldn't send four children off to war?
I firmly beleive that Link, Mipha and Revali are all around 15-17 (or race equivalent - since Zora seem to age slower than everyone else).
I mean, in Botw you get Fyson who is played off as being a teenager/young adult Rito who's mom wants him to take over the family buisiness, who hasn't even 'left the nest' at the beginning of Totk - and even he looks significantly older and taller than Revali.
Miphas diary talks about her starting to look up to Link as he grew older - which personally to me suggests the age he's at, he's outgrowing her physically - her own equivalent age could well be a young teenager and she's watching a boy who she met as a child now almost mature into a young man. It would explain her father's immediate hesitation to let her pilot a divine beast in the first place.
I know it's because Urbosa and Daruk were leaders and Mipha and Revali technically weren't - but we know Zelda asked Dorophan's permission for Mipha to pilot the Divine Beast, and it was mentioned in Revali's diary that she spoke to the Village Elder before asking him. Sounds an awful lot like asking a parents permission because they're too young to decide for themselves, if you ask me.
They're teenagers. Youngsters. Little guys, even, your honour. I am convinced of this fact.

Chapter 2: Campfire cuddles
Link ran fast through the grass with the others chasing behind us. He had shifted me so he could carry me with both his arms, sheathing his sword on his back. With a grunt, he jumped down from a ledge and continued to jog.
“Link! Wait up!”
“You can't have her!” he yelled back.
I looked up at him in shock, not having heard his voice before. The woman he was shouting out said he only speaks around people he trusts. Does that mean that he thinks I'm his friend? Do I have friends? I could feel my ears flick up and down in excitement and I puffed my cheeks out trying to stop them. Link just poked one of my cheeks as he stopped behind a rock, panting.
“You should put me down, catch your breath!”
He just grunted and placed me down, still holding me close. The others ran past the rock he had hunkered behind as I pried myself from his arms. His eyes narrowed as he reached out to grab me again and I pushed his arm down with a smile.
“Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere! Get some rest, I'll go get your friends.”
His eyes widened as I stood up fully and stepped on top of the rock. I could hear him start to speak but stop himself as he looked up at me from where he had crouched down. My skirt of leaves gathered by the Koroks was slightly messed up from his grabbing so I re-adjusted them before jumping to grab their attention. The blonde woman ran over quickly and grabbed my hands.
“Are you ok? It's starting to get dark we should set up a camp before heading back to Hyrule Castle tomorrow. We can use this as an opportunity to get to know you better!”
She smiled at me and pulled me towards the others as they began to set up tents that they must have been carrying with them. Her grip on my hand was just as tight as Link’s as if she was scared id leave. Link grumbled under his breath as he set up a campfire. It wasn't long until they were done and sat around the campfire.
The women went around the fire introducing everyone. I could only smile to myself as everyone began talking. Friends, I have friends that look like me now. Zelda just showed me the strange device she had, showing me the “camera” on it. Eventually, everyone went silent as I fiddled with the device, looking through the various places captured within.
“So, Y/N, if it isn't rude to ask, what are you?” Daruk asked.
I raised a brow at his question before the fish woman beside him spoke up.
“We know that the Koroks said you were a forest spirit, but you look rather similar to Hylians, like Link and Zelda. We're just a tad confused about if you're a type of forest spirit or a Hylain raised by forest spirits.”
“Oh, it isn't rude don't worry. I'm... Not sure. I've never left the forest before now, Hestu usually told me stories of their travels but I've never left myself.”
“Oh, you poor thing! We must take you around Hyrule and show you how wonderful everything is!” Zelda exclaimed, hugging me tightly.
“Dont bother, Rito village will be so impressive she’ll never want to leave!” Revali spoke confidently.
I just smiled and laughed. Daruk soon began laughing as well.
“You say that but the hot springs have a great power! I never want to leave them when I go!” He laughed.
The others began laughing as well, and I felt Link’s hand grab one of my fingers. I looked over at him and he rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand. His eyes never left our stare until he faltered and glared at Zelda who was still hugging me. A strange feeling of dread settled in as the others grew silent and looked around. I was unsure what had alarmed them but I felt the wariness that sat heavy among the group. A strange red slip of paper landed on my lap and just stared at it, confused. It felt like someone was breathing against my neck.
“Hm, intresting, so the Princess has recruited another. I wonder what’s so special about her? What do you say, do we tell Astor?”
“She doesn’t appear to be a threat Master, but he will be angry if we don’t notify him.”
“True, let’s go.”
The slip of paper disappeared along with the voices. I looked around in shock as the others seemed to relax, had they not heard those voices?
“We should get some rest, goodnight!” Zelda said, crawling into her tent.
One by one they disappeared into their tents and I sat on the grass watching the stars. I didn’t wish to intrude on their sleep, that would be so rude. Link shuffled out of his tent and motioned for me to join him. I shook my head, his tent look so small, there would be no space between us. He just sighed and sat beside me, pulling my head to his chest while rubbing my back.
“Link? What are you-“
“Shh, sleep. I’ll keep watch.”
I went to speak again but something about his warm chest and scent lulled me to sleep faster than I had ever experienced before. It was like I was being hypnotised.

What do you think are the SDJ boys and Bo's phobia(s) (could be irrational)? Like monophobia(fear of being alone).
The SDJ BOYS (plus Bo) and their phobias
Hmmm, ngl, this was a toughy
Jack:For Jack, I believe it'd be Monophobia or Athazagoraphobia, which is the fear of being forgotten. He would hate to have his sunshine forget about him and move on to someone new
Bo: Aquaphobia. Can't convince me otherwise. I mean, think about what if water got onto the tamogatchi and short fried it, supposedly "killing him"? Or it could be that he just hates water cause if he did something stupid, you'd spray with a spray bottle. Or Astrophobia, which is a fear of storms. It's pretty obvious why this makes sense cause dogs are normally afraid of loud crashes of thunder. Or fireworks.
Nick:ngl I can't think of sht for this guy, so I'm gonna take a wild assumption and say Anthropophobia, which is the fear of being rejected. I'm not sure why. I just took a guess and winged it :')
Shaun:Similar to Nick, but instead of anthrophobia, I would probably say cynophobia, fear of dogs. I mean, he has Moonpie and I have a headcanon he was scared of dogs as a kid(similar to Daruk from Botw) and scared a dog will hurt moonpie.
Ian:Athazagoraphobia. Can't tell me otherwise and can't convince me. This mf would hate for you to leave him. It's like in the actual game, he wants to make it right but boi he fuked up >:/
Taylor: yall already know damn well it's Coulrophobia which is the fear of clowns. Do I even gotta explain? It's actually been stated in the game that he despises clowns.
Elias:I'd say either Pistanthrophobia, which is being scared of getting hurt by someone in a romantic relationship, of Proditiophobia, fear of betrayal. Poor guy got murdered by the so called love of his life. Of course he'd be scared.
I did my best doing this so I hope you liked it :>

i know i said i wouldnt be ranting about totk anymore, but i realized i didnt really count the sage dungeons as story (dont ask me why) so i thought im gonna write a better summarized version of my opinion about totk (i have around 60% of the game, all lightroots, not yet all shrines (missing like .. 20 or so, know the reward), not all krogs (dont know the reward), not all mayoi (half know the reward?) )
(in no particular order)
good stuff (in my opinion)
the. MUSIC! god the music is good, it was good in botw too but now with much more different bosses it really is probably one of my fav soundtracks of all time (most fav are all three phases of the end fight, the pre-fight to that, the build up one before all of those, Frosgeira (wind tempel boss) the glorious mASTER KOGA and more tbh)
the build up and end boss fight(s) are fantastic, i dont think im ever not gonna have my heart racing when approaching it (despite now skipping almost the entire way bc i set a teleport thing right before it) just bc the build up is so well made and the music(again) is such a banger and the fight(s) itself is so fun too, tbh i keep wanting to play it just bc its so fun
i LOVE how many themes play into the music (endfight alone had so many layers, fav probably is ganondorfs classic theme and calamity ganons both in the same piece among much more, and daruks theme in the fire temple)
(edit) YOU. CAN. TOUCH. DA. DRAGONS!!!!
ganondorf
ganondorfs design (x3)
ganondorfs weapon designs
ganondorfs voice (japanese)
everyone elses voice (japanese)
all voices (german)
thE YIGA!!! i love everythign about them and am so happy they got to be more than just some mini mission
(edit) also the fact that they get zonau tech to work without any special ghost powers is so ????
(edit) koga can summon and use zonau tech unlimited?? hes so cool
NO stealth mission!! (as far as im aware)
bosses are very different from each other
main dungeons are not too short and not too long and mostly fun (mostly bc i personally didnt like the gerudo one), i love that you can still somewhat cheese them and do them your way
sages felt like they got a bit more involved
(edit) you gotta do more stuff before getting to the actual dungeons and i really like that, feels less like a fetch quest but that you are actually helping
(edit) each sage is actually there in the dungeon and is required for it, which is great!
each settlement saw a much bigger danger/change (tho that has more impact if you have played botw) and its problems felt much more real
shrines are well varied tho i think overall a little easy (only got stuck on two so far and later solved them easily bc when i first started them i was tired and exhausted, no brain left lol)
NPCs felt less flat + more bigger sidequests that felt like they had more impact
cool new monsters + designs
the underground was pretty appropiately creepy
the sages abilities are neat
you can refight bosses!!
stable points system is a neat way to encourage you using them
weapon fusing is neat
(edit) the forest of the krogs being corrupted like that is both creepy and a neat nod to oot
(edit) the vai gerudo outfit being gone!! (one) evil has been defeated
(edit) the health bar going so far off the middle in ganondorfs second phase is honestly just funny hnjdfdjk unfortunate that you only need the master sword and with a few perfect dodges his health melts like butter in the summer
(edit) the music when dragondorf transforms sounds so sad .. its probably meant as a oh no world is actually ending sad but i like to think of it as a oh god what did he do to himself sad
the scene where rauru seals ganondorf kinda fruity
(graphic, animations and the overall world is still fantastic)
bad stuff (in my opinion)
everything zonau they feel forced into every bit of the world and its history (i know them being somewhat alien is intentional but not like that) it feels crammed into places they werent before and shouldnt be and it makes it all feel very artificial
the glyphs/dragon tears/memories really ruined alot for me, while it gave you insight as to what happened, it felt like it showed you too much and too little at the same time and i think it would have worked better if it was all in text for once if even at all, so the past stil stayed a mystery and youd be left wondering
timetravel .. really wasnt necessary and felt more like an excuse to get rid of zelda + make her the poor little sacrificial girl again + and to make her turning into a dragon as tragic as possible, like nothing but a stepping stone to the big reveal tm
shiekah tech being not just fully irrelevant but practically erased, wiped off the world (i know about the literally last guardian parts in hateno, it feels more like an oversight tbh, purah technically using it ... tho i dont think she ever calls it that, the purah pad is jsut the sheikah stone but worse), there being no good explanation, no remains, nothing as to why it would suddendly stop working and why even the titans and ESPEICALLY the shrine of life would be destroyed, if anything why wouldnt you enshrine it as a memento to history it was such a focus in botw and so well integrated into the world that it being fully gone, not even old overgrown, or visibly reused to build homes etc., or remains of how they built the og shrines in the underground feels like a HUGE missed opportunity (seriously it would have been so easy to make the ancient shiekah base their tech on old zonau tech, without stealign the gocus but buildign a connection)
all of the continuity problems, totk feels like botw didnt happen and the excuse of 'they didnt want to confuse new players' doesnt make a lick of sense in my eyes bc; its supposed to be a sequel, if you want it to be a standalone game then dont call it a sequel- if you start to play a game with the sequel instead of the first part its your own damn fault if you get confused; if anything, it would have been a good opportuntiy to make people interested in botw so theyd buy and play that one too
ganondorfs character is very flat, you basically get to know nothing about him (yuno even calls that out midgame but its never elaborated upon nhgfrdfhkk)
the zonau and their kingdom of hyrule is presented as this so perfectly good thing to such a degree it turns creepy, the end cutscene with mineru going poof was kinda uncomfy to watch tbh
the reward for all shrines being essentially a reveal as to who the hero in the tapestry was and it being, of course, some weird half zonau is the lamest answer to a mystery i didnt want an anwser too, it doesnt feel like it came naturally either (again my point of the zonau being forced into everything)
the shrines (zonau) feel so much more unnatural than the shiekah shrines, alien in a bad way and not in a good way + really are like a bad reskin of them, their sudden appearance and use is so much less logical
back in botw i was doubtful of if the shiekah tech wasnt going to far too modern tech and cause it all to feel like a bad mix of modern tech and medival fantasy, but they balanced it perfectly (tho the eponator zero was very much the limit imo) but the zonau tech .... oversteps that line i think, it really does feel, more than anything else, that it was just bc they wanted the stuff to be in there bc it might be fun to play around with, im not against that kind of stuff mind you im all for fun, but it feels a little like they thought of a box with endless stuff to play with first and a zelda game second (if you get what i mean)
quite a few quests or things in the game seem like they are more and then end in a dead end (the worst of all is impa saying she wants to go research what could help zelda turn back, and i was excited and convinced that shed give me a quest to find some mcguffin that would do that after i beat ganon but there wasnt anything you could actually do; less bad one but disappointing nonetheless the dongos were mentioned and treated like this big awesome thing from alot of NPCs all around the map and then when you find them they are bascially just gem vending maschines)
the way zelda turns back and link gets his arm back is incredibly unsatisfying, none of them even have something like a scar, or mark from it all, zelda spent thousands of years as a dragon (a transformation that was said to cost your soul but i guess that wasnt true) and link had his arm bascially eaten by miasma and he gets it back like it was never lost, zelda returns all intact as if nothing happened, getting blasted by some magic tm by two ghosts that were supposed to be long gone is the solution to all problems!!
(edit) link losing an arm wouldnt just be super intersting but also lend itself well to lead up into the next game where his prothesis is the focus and source of abilities
(edit) zelda got done so dirty, instead of her actual interests and character to shine she just gets shoved into yet another crisis surrounded by strangers in a world that looks like hers but isnt, and all she does is beg the ancient sages to swear to help link and sacrifice herself again (can you call that fridging? bc she sure feels like she got fridged) i like zelda and i dont like how much i didnt care about her and tbh im angry at the game for that
(edit) both link and zelda not even slightly changing in the years btween botw and totk kinda boring, like a haircut can only do so much
(edit) sonia really is the wife that dies to make husband sad thing isnt she? i get that gan had to get his hands on an enigma stone but i feel like there had been better ways to do that, the fact that she dies that easily is almost funny honestly, why does ganondorf even have weapons when he can just one punch people to death (tho i find it funny to imagine he can literally just kill people in one punch but hes too prideful to do it most of the time so he always uses weapons to look more cool)
(edit) so many new characters that you barely get to see or interact with, i really ... couldnt get myself to care much
(edit) zonau tech being so irrelevant to the games story while its also the focus is .. weird, its really just play doh for the players and nothing else honestly
(edit) monsters mining sonanium feels strange bc ... they dont do anything with it? the best thing i can think of is that they were told to do that so link cant .. upgrade his battery thignies? but then again you could just destroy the mines and remaining constructs to stop it .... also you really dont need anything zonau tech related to beat gan?
(edit) ganondorf beign so utterly uninterested in their tech is weird considering how he dealt with shiekah tech (and we KNOW it can get corrupted) he should be a tech nerd tbh
my twitch VoD of the first time beating the game getting muted at the credits despite me talking over it
nitpicks (in my opninion)
(edit) ganondorf should have a bit more of a boar inspired design, as treat, i think
(edit) the enigma stone wandering back to ganondorfs forehead even after transforming is? weird? i guess an excuse for da epic last stabby but still? (how cool would it have been to have to plunge into his mouth and break it there or something)
(edit) the underground gets a lil old after a while, the fact that its pretty much the same everywhere aside from some .. very strange flowing magma is a lil boring
(edit) ganondorf could have gone way more crazy with abilities and all that, imagine hed spwan multiple miasma arms on himself when you get him to a certain level of health
(edit) i miss unique weapons, there arent even normal axes around anymore, everything is about fusing really, i miss the cool shiekah tech weapons
(edit) the forest of the krogs being largely irrelevant is kinda weird
(edit) mineru being the sage of spirit still is kinda meh, the robot is neat but i thought tauro or purah would be the surprise sage tbh
(edit) the bosses were a little easy (i did boldo gohma rather early and did it without even getting hit)
you cant talk to koga normally :(
you cant find koga again after the last fight :(
you cant refight him (to my knowledge) :(
i find it very strange that yuno seemingly lost daruk shield, despite him having inhereted it in botw
the sage powers are not .. very great integrated, while its fun to haven them run around and help you fight, to actually use their powers you have to chase after them, something that in the heat of a battle is very annoying to do, constantly activating the wrong on or them losing their charge up when they get knocked over is like trying to herd a wild pack of geese while a three headed dragon is shotting laserbeams at you
some widlife just disappearing all of the sudden is very strange (like the rhino in hebra)
some new houses or settlements would have been cool, that the material things at the sides of roads are really only for you to play around with and not to build anything that lasts
you cant fight ganondorf (non dragon, even the dragon is locked to that evening sky) in the sunlight, night or rain, i would have loved to fight him at various times of day
their refusal to show any kind of blood is honestly turnign serious scenes into very awkward ones, sonia just getting punched and she dies with not even like, losing some spit from the force or something, or the fact when you defeat ganondorfs second phase he acts mortally wounded but doesnt even look scratched is just :/
amiibo stuff while neat being included its really mostly just bloating your inventory, if i wanted 5 vaguely different link outfits then i would have gotten the amiibo for it
why hide the -now-totally-not-phantom-ganon-armor- behind such a long questline and then .. have that NOT be upgradable
they put in a house building thingy and then not let you have a roof or a tree or something :(
at some point stable points jsut get you more and more of those free staying over night tickets that i maybe used .. once at the very start and now its just accumulating in my inventory
only one new horse coat pattern :(
satori now only being a thingy that shows you caves is kinda boring, i loved the mystery around it in botw (additionally, that it shows you caves you have completed already kinda sucks)
the end of the shrines isnt that cool anymore, speaking to a mummified monk that gives you essentially his last remains of life energy is so much cooler than a statue of the oh so awesome god king and his wife
the many references and reuse of old names is neat but together with timetravel etc. it easily leads to confusing and fighting among fans for who is more 'right' and its just .. tiring
(edit) considering how much of the advertising was about the sky islands i wished there were more and bigger ones, the underground (that was a little one sided after a while, it all looking the same rly) could have been alot smaller if the sky was bigger instead
(edit) i wished there was more of a sense of .. lost life in the ruins you find, from all races, the ancient ruins are jsut some bridged and ceremonial stuff and i wished there were more like .. houses, like people actually lived there and it not being all around beign a platform for you
(edit) the fact that the half zonau hero exists mean either rauru and sonia had kids but those were clearly not important enough to ever show nor mention, or there were other mixing of them before they all mysteriously died out the fact that the ancient hero was half zonau means their genes survided till then but somehow it never came up? the tapestry still exists and impa and purah say like its a well known fact that the hero looked like that (not at all close to any modern species) when you talk to them while wearing it (the fact that the hero armor thingy is very reminiscemt of ganondorf is like some backtreading bc we were theorizing about the hero having been ganondorf once and they wanted to stop that .. but the more funny thing is the HC of its a descdendet of rauru and ganondorf nhjdfknhdgkfnhkfd) (edit to add to the HC; the game being a big battle about child support is funnier than it should be idk if nintendo knew what they were doing adding details like that)
all in all it just feels like missed opportunities, lost potential, and more a game build around some game mechanics they really wanted to get into than telling a neat story, espeically so bc they called it a sequel, most of my complaints wouldnt be there if it was some alternate thing instead
i probably forgot stuff but if i think of more i will add them later with a little note that it was added in an edit (sidenote, i find it funny how much more nuance that whole conflict would get if rauru and ganondorf were bitter exes bfdrjfbdfndk)

BOTW Link’s age: debunk attempt
So far, only Zelda is confirmed to be 17. This is noted by Zelda who visits the Spring of Wisdom on her 17th birthday, when she’s allowed to go up there. It’s an assumption Link is the same age, not canon. If he’s able to accompany her, he can be older.
NOTE: wikis can be editted by anyone without evidence. Teachers advise against using wikis for research papers for its lack of credibility. So I won’t be taking the loz wiki saying he’s 17 into consideration as there’s nothing concrete to confirm that.
1) Creating a Champion suggests he could be an adult. This is a book researched in accordance with the botw dev team for a more informed approach rather than word of mouth. Below are page snippets from pg 107 & 377.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2) Drinking Age: Noble Pursuit
Japan’s drinking age remains at 20. It’s likely Nintendo follows their own country’s law in regards to drinking. Link could be considered an adult unable to drink yet.
3) Link says I’m over 100, not 117.
Tumblr media
Also Link is a short king, most likely mistaken to be much younger and not taken seriously by other npcs.
4) Urbosa’s Diary page
Tumblr media
This entry doesn’t suggest they’re the exact same age. It can be said for both teens and young adults. Older gen like Urbosa and Daruk (Urbosa was Zelda’s mum’s friend) would say this to anyone younger than them.
Conclusion: If you see him as 17, you do you! Based on the info above, it’s valid to consider him an adult. As of Tears of The Kingdom, he definitely is one!

I love the Champions headcanons <333 do you have any more...? :O
Champion Headcanons P. 5
Featuring the post-Calamity Champions
When Teba first met Riju he was like "This is a child. Like an actual child. Why is a child piloting a Divine Beast?"
On that note, Teba often complained about being the oldest among the champions until Sidon mentioned he was technically over 100 years old.
Urbosa tried to teach young Sidon swear words, by Sidon is physically incapable of cursing
Teba had an emo phase as a teenager and no one will let him forget it, especially not Riju.
Zelda cannot fall asleep unless the conditions are absolutely perfect, but Link literally just passes out anywhere.
Riju is the epitome of Gen Z humor.
Yunobo likes fluffy romance novels and cries every time.
Link's pretty short so whenever he can't see anything he stands of Daruk's shoulders.
Revali used to brag about having the best aim until he got into a shooting competition with Mipha and she absolutely smoked him.
Robbie and Purrah have an extensive secret handshake that takes about 5-10 minutes to do. The more annoyed people act, the longer they take.
Daruk pats people on the back to congratulate them but most of the time ends up knocking them over.
Zelda hand sewed all the champion garmets.
Sidon will take and all opportunities to hug someone and no you can't stop him.
Mipha will literally cry if she is shown the tiniest bit of affection from an animal.
Link has absolutely no sense of self preservation and will gladly jump off a cliff for 5 rupees. Honestly, he's probably do it for free.
Revali uses fancy dramatic words but most of the time he doesn't even know what they mean.

I got a maybe a little angsty, maybe a little funny question - when was the last time each of the boys cried? Shed tears over stubbed toes do count
Time - He shed silent, frustrated tears after sending the boys away in Termina and resigning himself to what he thought was his inescapable lot in life.
Twilight - Cried a LOT after the accident when Champion woke up, then after every encounter with Champion until they started to build bridges toward understanding one another.
Wild - He would weaponize crocodile tears when he felt badly about doing something, not because he gave false apologies and wanted things to blow over, but because he likes to get back to normal with his friends as quickly as possible. Life is short and all.
Champion - After waking back up, upon realizing that Daruk didn’t make it, then again when Twilight was taken into custody by Dark.
Warriors - He cried the day he decided to throw in the towel and leave the Royal Guard, knowing it would cause his family to disown him. But Warriors needed to follow his own conscience.
Sky - Is more of a cry-laugher. Show that boy a stupid short video or a good compilation and he’ll laugh until he can’t breathe and tears are streaming down his face.
Legend - After that first Solstice at the townhouse. Because Time couldn’t leave well enough alone, and he had to go and be thoughtful, and well. That’s a really tough time of year for Legend.
Hyrule - After the events of HSH1, when he pulled Legend out the smokers entrance to the hospital for a moment of privacy. By that point in the story, he had become much more attached to Legend than he let on.
Wind - He still gets a little hot-faced and teary during frustrating moments while streaming. The Links of Time’s bloodline are known for being an emotional bunch.
Four - This would be character spoilers. I guess the LAST time Four cried was as he was fighting for his life immediately before Shadow took enough pity on him to take him in temporarily.
Dark - Have you ever had the top of your foot tattooed? It fucking sucks.
Shadow - That’s classified.

Link walked up the staircase to Mipha's statue at Ploymous Mountain. His short fur was grey and his red, long hair flowed in the wind.
He stared at Mipha's statue. "Well, Mipha, you wouldn't believe what's happened today. I got my reward for completing all of King Rarau's shrines. It turned me into a Zonai," Link chuckled a bit, "I wonder what your reaction would've been to see me like this. Same with Daruk and Urbosa. I feel like Revali wouldn't care too much."
The statue of Mipha shined in the moonlight. Link just stared, wondering about the life he could've had. "I don't really remember what my feelings for you were, Mipha. But according to Sidon and your father, you were in love with me, I mean, the Zora Armor is proof of that. Still... I wonder if we'd be engaged, like Sidon and Yona. I wonder if Hyrule would've looked better than it does now... I'm grateful for the people I got to meet in this century. I'm grateful that Zelda trusts me still.
It's been years, yet I'm still blaming myself for not saving Hyrule over a century ago."
Link waited a moment, sighed, pulled out the Purah Pad, and teleported to Lookout Landing. As he teleported away he said, "Wish me luck on defeating the Demon King."
Mipha's Statue glimmered in the moonlight.

Wait, people are hating on Yunobo? Why? He’s the best??
Also a couple of people said they say his weapon in the trailer so they think he’s in the game but for whatever reason he’s not being shown. I hope that’s the case. I love my Rock Son.
I promise you if Yunobo wasn't a goron I think people would've hate him less but thats just me
ALSO YEA Daruk's Boulder Breaker appears in like two frames. and also he possibly appears from afar in a few frames where Link has the Goron armor. I can't rlly confirm its him cause the pics look super blurry and there's a lot going on in such a short span

Day 52: Pants, or No Pants?
I glide back down to the Stable in the dawn light and spot Addison. I build him truly the worst contraption to support his sign - but it works!
Regan of the Zonai Survey Team says the stable girl left when they all took their clothes off. I'm not surprised. Bissi flatly refuses to undress - I don't blame her.
Penn is here, investigating all this. He says a couple of the naked men went to investigate a monster den - and haven't come back. I don't like the sound of that…
The stablewoman Gaile is hanging out with the dogs until the guys put their clothes back on. She says if I befriend the dogs they might lead me to treasure. Fun.
There's a smoke signal beyond her. But there's only a dog there? I wonder if I feed it…
Tumblr media
It's only as the dog leads me into the nearby cave that I notice Domidak and Prissen. Ah, some of Misko's treasure is here. But they can't find it because the cave is completely full of treasure chests. The dog leads me right to the true treasure chest, and the ember trousers.
Domidak looks hopefully for more treasure, but only finds a bottle with a message in that he has no interest in.
I read it when they've gone. It's from Misko. The ember trousers are but one of their hidden treasures - this, I knew. They point me to another - the Fierce Deity Sword. If I return wearing the clothing of the Fierce Deity, I will be rewarded. I need three keys. One beneath the bedchamber of Akkala's red-crowned citadel, one in the skull's left eye, one in an old stump on Hyrule Field.
Well. The middle one sounds easy, the other two less so. I'll see what I can do on my travels.
But what's in all these other chests? Single rupees. No wonder Domidak and Prissen lost interest. The cave is great for catching lizards, though.
Outside, Dom and Priss are discussing where to go next. They've got old manuscripts, riddles that Misko wrote. I pay him 100 rupees for each of them.
They all begin the same way:
"I discovered the green clothes of a man who admitted fairies and have hidden them away. Solve my riddle to find them anew."
The twins: "In West Necluda stand twins poised to duel. Each contains a cavern that faces the other. Show the little twin's sign to the big twin to open the door to my treasure."
Could that be the Dueling Peaks?
The pirate cavern: "A forgotten pirate cavern lurks at the foot of Cape Cales overlooking the Necluda Sea. The short shrill song of wind through lips will open the way to my treasure."
Eight heroines: "Statues of the eight heroines reside in the desert. Enter the valley carved into Hemaar's Descent and shine the light of day upon the towering eighth. The path to the treasure will open before you.
Interesting. Misko certainly travelled far and wide.
I should go and look for those two guys who went looking for monsters in their underpants though.
I grab Peaches from Ozunda at the stable, and head out. He wants a photo of Daruk's statue to hang in the stable - noted.
Tumblr media
I don't have to go far up the road to find two naked guys trying to pluck up the idiocy to approach monsters with no clothes on. Drant and Sango. They tell me of Zelda's supposed advice. I volunteer to deal with the monsters - but these idiots are men of their word, so I need to match their feat of going in with no gear…
Tumblr media
This is so stupid. We're just idiots throwing rocks at each other.
It takes me well into the evening to defeat the monsters. It's not being in my underpants that's the problem - it's losing my weapons and materials!
I was minded to ignore the korok on the way back down to the stable - but then I see a steering stick and think it might be fun. And it is!
Tumblr media
I build a small craft and pilot our way across the hot springs, even grabbing some luminous stones on the way back. Then I whistle for Peaches, and head for the stable.
The men are all clustered around Penn, with a new researcher - Lecia. She says Zelda actually said: "So, prepare your mind and body, and then explore all other paths!"
Tumblr media
Bougan tries to make everyone feel better about it - but they all put their clothes back on pretty quick.
