i literally hate how in leading up to her death both of claudia’s loved ones were taken away from her one after the other leaving her so utterly alone in her final moments. and through it all how she, the knight, was righteous and brave and strong and unapologetic. her enormous love for them. the perfect vampire. how she was still putting them above herself and how much clarity she had. still being louis’ voice of reason despite the distance recently wedged between them their splintered relationship and despite his callous hurtful actions. and then having him physically ripped away from her both unable to do anything but wildly grasp for each other... the rawness of her pain… no closure about any of it or the new things revealed about her turning no time to process any of it. how unfair. and then encouraging madeleine to join the coven… and madeleine choosing her… but crumbling to dust in claudia’s arms when she was in a protective stance trying to shield madeleine as much as she could. she had to feel that horrible painful loss for both of them in those final moments. THAT loneliness. on stage for all to see contrasting it with everything lestat said making it fall so fucking flat. and when finally succumbing to the sun on the literal brink of death so incredibly helpless she turns back around desperately to see the father who didn’t defend her once who she hates more than anyone in the world out of whatever form of love she still feels for him for some inkling of comfort pleading out of hopelessness and she sees him just watch her burn. abandoned for the last time
