Turns out the best part of being an artist is just slowly realizing that everyone is beautiful, actually. Beauty standards literally no longer apply because the beauty is in the creation, in the humanity. Angles and curves and unique little quirks that make individuals stand out from one another are what bring the process to life in the first place. The more you draw, especially from live models, the more you pick up on a million little things you would've never considered beforehand. I love the small triangle of muscle that appears when someone scrunches up their brow. Thighs are much thicker than you'd imagine, on every person of every age group and there's no scenario where that's a bad thing. It's just a thing. Sometimes you can see the spots where the sacrum and pelvis meet through the skin, forming two small divots in the lower back. The Dimples of Venus, they call them.

There's never been a single moment in my history as an artist where I've wished that a model had a softer nose or fewer stomach rolls or less prominent aging lines because this is what makes art interesting and meaningful. Humanity survives, if not thrives, in the billions of people who will never look like anyone on television.

And it seeps into the way you interact with the world. You joke with your friends as you map out their features in your mind and think 'god, this is what it looks like to be loved.' You look into your mother's hooded eyes and wonder if yours hold that much kindness or warmth. Even aging is a bit less scary when those lines and spots feel like reminders of a life lived, planes for the world to map out on its own.

gale is drunk by the time the countdown nears the time to kiss, but not drunk enough to keep him from your lips. he tastes of beer as he kisses you, hard, before pulling away to cheer in the new year.

finnick is decked out in glitter and those silly glasses with the year on it, and as the countdown proceeds, he is jumping up and down in excitement, pulling you closer with each number, giggling as he finally connects your lips.

coriolanus isn’t one for holidays, honestly, but he would indulge in champagne with you and let you sit on his lap during the countdown, holding your waist and smirking as you lean in for a kiss as the clock strikes midnight. “happy new year,” he mutters against your lips before playfully nipping your bottom lip.

you come home from work to see aaron and your 4 year old daughter having a tea party :')

you step inside your house, shrugging off your coat and toeing off your shoes. your immediately hit with your little girls infectious giggles and your husbands low voice. without even knowing what's going on in the playroom, you huff out a laugh to yourself as you make your way through the living room and down the hall to where your family is. you lean against the door frame watching their shenanigans.

aaron his basically crouched down on a toddler sized pink chair with an equally as small toddler table in between the two. he has a pink and purple tiara sitting on top of his head and your daughter has somehow wrangled a pink tutu around his waist. she is opposite him, sitting comfortably in a chair fit for her size.

"is this how i drink it?" aaron asks the little girl, holding his tea cup upside down trying to sip from the solid bottom of the cup. she is absolutely in fits over this gig. "no daddy!" she tells him through gasps of laughter. "like this!" she holds her cup right side up and takes a sip of imaginary tea - with her pink out, of course - to show him how its supposed to be held.

"oh, right, how silly of me." he turns the cup over. "so like this?" he asks, but this time he has the handle to his lips and his big fingers holding the cup by its side. the little girl erupts into breathless laughter again, nearly falling out of her chair.

"daddy!" she yells incredulously, trying to be stern through her laughter. she gets up and walks over to him and takes the cup out of his hand, turning it around the right way and puts it back into his hands. "like this!"

"okay, thank you so much for showing me how to hold it correctly." he smiles, taking a sip of air.

"you're very welcome." the little girl says back, both of them using their serious voices.

"should we be using fancy british voices for our fancy tea party?" he asks her using a vaguely bad british accent.

she tries to answer him back, copying the way he sounds but she can't and it makes her fall into a fit of giggles all over again.

"i can't do it!" she yells in hysterics.

"well why not!" aaron asks her, still using the accent.

"because i'm four!"

"oh well goodness me!" aaron says back in mock surprise. "this whole time i thought you were an old lady."

the little girl's mouth drops. "I'M NOT OLD! I'M 4!"

"4 could be considered old to some people." he tells her, back in his normal voice, and very seriously.

"who?!"

"2 year olds, probably."

"DADDY!" the little girl shrieks, her fits of giggles once again taking over her body.

"what...is going on in here!" you finally announce your presence and both of them look over at you startled - giving the same expression which makes you laugh out loud.

"mommy!" your daughter yells, flying off the chair and into your open arms.

she nods her head furiously and then leaves your arms to clamor into aaron's lap. you laugh again and follow her, leaning over to kiss your husband on the lips and then take a seat in the extra chair next to him.

New year, new sona

Finally got around to making a new sona for myself :3

I've been wanting to make a new internet sona all of 2024 and haven't gotten around to it until 2025, and as much as I love the electro-swing silly guy bugs bunny vibes of Luni-Q, I felt as I got older these past years they don't quite fit me anymore (I'm still keeping the bunny vibes tho lol)

ANYWAY LET'S FUCKING GO MONSTER TIME BABEYYY

putting some minor notes design notes here since i was lazy to fill out an entire ref lol (minor warnings for body horror descriptions)

big guy is 8 feet tall!

they're kinda a spin of a volpertinger, a horned rabbit with wings! even though the wings aren't in the main ref, they can sprout some on their back from their back markings (and the horns being more goat/sheep hybrid as opposed to a deer, and peacock like feathers)

going on the parasite theme! those red tendrils are actually a symbiote god separate from the creature :3 while the main body is the volpertinger itself, inside is just a bunch of red tendrils stuffing it like spaghetti. Basically it's Venom rules, where they can extend out of the host's body to grab things, and forming hands and wings.

Given from the name you're probably wondering if this is inspired from the Bloodborne boss. Yes. I love her and she's my gender mom
