Alright, but if y'all have watched Firebird, please don't come at me, ik I'm pinning all the blame on Roman and ik I'm wrong but fuck if I don't want to blame someone, I don't even know what to say, him marrying, him denying, him saying "Welcome Home" And then asking him to "act" When louisa comes, fuck fuck it's all so wrong, why society is so fucked up, I'm so frustrated
#Fuckers can't keep their nose out of other peoples business#Think they're paragon of virtue#A man would be cheating on his wife#A wife would be cheating on her husband#And yet they both would think a person who loves another is wrong#Their love is unpure#Why bitch?#Why only their love is unpure#See your own damn self#And just leave others alone#I hate this society#I hate “log kya kahenge” “What would people say”#Like fuck you and your people#And I'm sorry for ranting like this#But before watching this movie#I saw a tweet of two women cricketers marrying#And some of my countrymen are so fucked up they were saying all the bad things#Like please if you can't say anything good don't say anything at all#Please#Live and let live#But no we won't#my life is disaster in making at this point#and yet here i am#it's me hi i'm the problem it's me#c'est la vie#Sorry for ranting#And thank yoh if you're reading#lgbtqia#Firebird#Movies

I understand why everyones so mad about five x lila (i dont like it either) BUT i do think the setup of it (lost in time with no one else to rely on, protecting eachother, ect) would probably make five fall in love with just about anyone. Just like, this is kind of what he always imagined having with deloras. So i dont fully agree with the wide consensus that its out of character for him to fuck his brothers wife (in this specific scenario)
That being said, he absolutely wouldnt give up on his family over it.
#not defending the lila side of the ship#obviously its fucking weird to cheat on your husband w his brother stuck in the body of a teenager#its also fucked that they never mention he MURDERED HER PARENTS#the umbrella academy#tua#tua finale#tua five#lila pitts#five hargreeves#i just think specifically stuck in isolation/time w anyone would yeah probably make five kinda fall for them#man he spent so much time alone all he ever wanted was another person#again not enough to give up on his family#note: i havent watched the last episode yet but ive seen spoilers maybe its worse there#oh yeah im not justifying the writing#it was undeniably a bad choice to do this plotline#i just think under these very specific circumstances five might fuck his brothers wife#no reason to create those circumstances in the first place but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#why youd choose to do this in the last season of a show ill never know

Alec Hardy: has a traumatic experience in a body of water
Also Alec Hardy: rents a house literally on the water.
#alec hardy#broadchurch#david tennant#it does also lead to my favorite scene in season 2#bumper cars hardy#olivia colman#is a treasure#poor man#a breeze would blow him over#a man so full of love#remind me to write a meta about how all of Hardy’s actions are based on love#or the lack thereof#covering for his cheating wife who royally fucked up like so bad#I’m not kidding what Tess did is bad cop 101#it’s American cop level bad#why does he cover for a woman whose actively cheating on him while he’s trying to solve a big cas?#case#because he doesn’t want his daughter to find out that her mother is like that#he has every reason to hate her and because he loves his daughter he takes the blame and becomes the worst cop in Britain and being a cop#is central to his identity#in a lot of ways it’s a show about imbalances of power#sorry this as supposed to be a shit post#uncle Alec

I'm not sure how to put this exactly, but. In some episodes, we really get to see Stan show some qualities, we get to see why Dorothy still had some good times with him, and that makes the whole 38-year-marriage-turned-bitter-divorce worse to me. Because it means he had it in him to be a good person and a good husband all that time and he just didn't choose to be.
#once again thinking about dorothy's marriage. it truly is my roman empire#this thought was sparked by watching s4e10: stan takes a wife#and he is genuinely not that bad in that episode! he's cheap and wears a girdle#but he's also supportive of dorothy. sweet. he helps her get much needed information on sophia. (though he did get her favorite food wrong)#and his fiancée seems to genuinely love him so he can't be that bad to her#but then this is the same man that made 38 years of dorothy's life horrible#cheated on her all throughout their marriage#insults her often and happily#left her for a young girl without even having the decency to tell her in person#and it's just. if he was horrid all the time it would be one thing#but *some* times he actually behaves like a decent person. so he knows how to do it!#he just doesn't think it was worth it to be that person for dorothy#and that feels so much worse to me#anyway. kudos to blanche and rose for stopping dorothy from making the biggest mistake of her life in the most hilarious possible way#they were a pleasure to watch#(this is also why the s6 plot where dorothy almost marries him again was always so strange to me?? like. i don't think they'd let her)#(or they'd at least try to convince her otherwise)#the golden girls

It's so wild to me how much hate poly gets but traditional mono culture is having "I'm ending my 22 year relationship because you were flirting with another woman." and "I'm had multiple sexual partners, and have been in multiple committed romantic relationships" as core identities And then instead of evaluating the culture around your relationships and your assumed expectations, you just blame the other gender!
#Not that long ago I had to block one of my long term mutuals because she was actively cheating on her partner#and then getting mad this married man wasn't going to leave his wife for her and would rant about shit like#how men are all cheating horrible liars#and it's... its just exhausting man

The bingo card has me thinking about shipping with Henry. The few relationships he has before marriage (and possibly including his marriage, depending on portrayal) are all fine: mostly healthy, relatively normal, don't work out for fairly typical reasons. But most of all, they involve very likeminded people. Introverted, mostly playing it safe, etc. But the predominant thing that can drive him fucking wild is someone outside of that scope. I listed "thrilling" on the bingo, and that's sort of what I was getting at. Attractive person + thrill = a very infatuated Henry. Combine this with the person being a man—Henry doesn't (by default) explore his sexuality until after his marriage (either post-divorce or uh. before that.)—and you get an even more head-over-heels Henry. Henry isn't a huge risktaker (minus some exceptions regarding business), so somebody who is and encourages that within Henry can really light a fire under him. Volatile, quick-burning, passionate relationships (particularly if they're both sexual and romantic) can bring out an entirely different side of him. He is absolutely capable of getting into toxic dynamics—mutually, for the most part—and will not complain. Obviously a lot of this makes it really obvious why he's so prone to getting involved with William—he fits right into Henry's definition of "thrilling," no matter how reluctant he'd be to actual say that out loud. While we're at it (happy sinday lmao), this more than slightly extends to sex. This man has had nothing but vanilla sex prior to marriage and (again, by default) only explored beyond that some in his marriage. Anybody who is willing to explore his masochistic side and really explore kink can drive him up the wall.
#˖ ♡ 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝒹𝒸𝒶𝓃𝑜𝓃. » a simple engineer ( henry emily )#sinday#suggestive#when the headcanon tag is even funnier than usual#anyway this is like his uh. you know. rebelling against the narrative given to him????#something something subconsciously sick of being 'the good one' & 'reasonable' but you're not into the stuff most ppl do to rebel#so you fuck and fall in love with your serial killer business partner/best friend#<- or somebody near or equally as bad LMAO#early on when i fiiiiiiirst added him i was like 'idk if henry would cheat on his wife'#BUT this is absolutely the scenario where he would#if an attractive vaguely dangerous man hits on him?? fidelity? never heard of it sorry#cheating mention tw

“Edward would cheat on his wife” would EZIO cheat on HIS wife?! Would ARNO??!!
I know the game’s promos push this sort of “womaniser” vibe on him and while he probably had plenty of one night stands, he is the type to cry after and think about wifey.
#sex is fun and hes a pirate#but the only guy with pussy subscription here is ezio#and he still would never cheat on his wife#NONE of the main assassin's would#nor shay nor haytham#you can try to change my mind but#n oo o#assassin's creed#edward kenway#ezio auditore#for arno i dont even have to say much#look at him. look at that pathetic man

i think that not enough ppl theorizing abt characters n lore for media like stardew valley ask themselves "would this be interesting writing if it were true"
#.txt#stardew valley#like 'ohhhh wouldnt it be wild if EMILY was the wizards kid??'#no it wouldnt. it would be bad writing w no set up n doesnt feel satisfying#im a 'caroline is the wizards kid' truther bc its the most interesting n satisfying option#especially if u think of it as like... caroline n pierres situation being the opposite of the wizard n his ex wifes#pierre who is a deeply insecure man who cant comprehend why caroline would willingly have his child#or that his child would be as smart and great as abigail#believes that caroline cheated with a better man and abigail is not his. their relationship has issues n hes suspected it for a long time#whereas the wizards fling came out of nowhere in a seemingly very happy relationship that the witch never saw coming#do you understand. i am unwell

"Prostitution is the world's oldest profession..." and "The "i" in lie" are great songs because they both talk about the same thing -- selling yourself out in the music industry-- from two different viewpoints
#essentially what i mean is that gabe is getting PAID to sell himself out by the very people that hate him for selling himself out#while patrick is cheating on the music he wants to make with the music that he knows will do well commercially#<- which btw is not what soul punk is. and honestly soul punk is the OPPOSITE of selling out#which i could make a whole post on but to sum it up soul punk is exactly what it sounds like. its full of soul and is a kind-off fuck you to#people who think pop music is easy to make/only needs a computer to do and not require an ACTUAL human to make the music itself#but in the i in lie patrick tells the story of a man cheating on his wife even though he KNOWS ITS WRONG AND FEELS GUILTY OVER IT#he knows selling himself out to the music industry is wrong. he doesnt like doing it and would much rather be making music he wants to make#but he keeps selling himself out because its the money and fame of it all. '...in the silent aftermath/butterflies subsiding but they can#never look back'#he keeps selling himself out to this industry because it feels good but only for a short while#and so he lies to fans and to himself that he wants this.#but for gabe he understands that the music industry is well an industry#and so to stay on the top you have do 'dirty' things#and that thing will be selling out#and he doesnt think its bad! he thinks its a revolution actually!#he thinks its the only way to 'humor the fools' who could be the people that consume the music (not the fans)#he literally states he doesnt care what people think of him for selling himself out and that the ones that are hating ARE THE ONES THAT ARE#PAYING FOR HIM TO SELL OUT#just. ugh. these two songs are doing something to me today

'this is a goddamn bitch of an unsatisfactory situation' sounds like the kind of exaggerated, colorful complaint that I associate with like, modern-day internet humor, but when hear see it in context it's completely different. jack's voice is breaking, he's holding back tears. the pain in his delivery of that line is starkly audible. this is at the end of nearly two decades of seeing ennis only a few times a year, and just hearing that ennis has to cancel their next meeting. he's at the end of his rope, and he's ready to break down. as much attention as "I wish I knew how to quit you" got, I think this is the line that stays with me for the sheer emotion in its delivery
#I wish I knew how to quit you is legendary for good reason tho#and the fact that jack is cheating on his wife with another woman means he's TRYING to quit ennis right?#on some level he just wants to be happy with a conventional lifestyle with a woman#but it's not working for him. that's not who he actually wants and he can't change that no matter how hard he tries#it's sad! it's really sad!#and ennis is obviously afraid of being outed and terrified of dying the way the old man did when he was young like he's obviously#traumatized too. and sure maybe he could have left his family after the divorce and moved to texas#but wouldn't that miss the point? homophobia ruins people's lives#jack is angry that ennis refuses to move#but it's not ennis's fault he may be murdered if people suspected and he's not wrong to be concerned about that#it's a commentary on a wider social issue that ALSO leads to that rage in him that brings him to violence#they could have said more about income inequality and poverty too but that's not the focus of the film#even tho imo it's a really big part of the story and the things that factor into ennis's situation#if he was independently wealthy he'd have more freedom#furthermore if they were women their movements and lives would be far more tightly restricted#bbmtn lb

What is going onnnn
#logged onto fb today as you do when you enjoy wasting your time#and uh. my brother changed his profile picture. and my other brother LIKED IT#THESE MEN DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER. the first brother; i have known he existed my entire life#he is my dad’s son from his second marriage. i am from his fourth. which is fine#the second brother; i found out he existed in july#dna website told me he was my uncle but i was like ‘that literally cannot physically be possible’#my dad’s parents were well into their fifties in 1966 and my mom’s parents would not have had a son in 1966 and adopted him out#like what would have been the point. my uncle was already born then and my mom was born a year later#if they’d had a child between those two they simply would’ve kept him#also i looked up this man and was like ‘he looks exactly like my dad in the face’ so that was when i was like. i think i know what happened#here. i think my dad aged 23 cheated on his second wife and did not know that this fling produced a child#so yeah i’ve communicated with my second brother. but i guess he decided to go looking for further answers and added my first brother#which i completely understand because i am a useless person tbh. i’m bad at communicating and i don’t have a lot of information for anybody#like my first brother had our dad for 39 years. i had him for 11. i also don’t have the easiest time talking about him because it was a#traumatic loss for me. so.#like i said i don’t know what they’re talking about if anything. i don’t know if my first brother even knows who this man is. he accepted#the friend request? but that doesn’t mean a lot. maybe they found each other on a different dna site#that would be really funny actually#i hope they’re getting along. i mean they probably are. they’re the same age and actually have some similar interests weirdly#i mean one is into heavy metal and the other is into historical reenactments but they both like dogs and fantasy novels#my dad’s dna must have so much fucking information in it. it was literally like ‘okay all of this man’s descendants are going to be 6’+#even the women; with dark hair; dark eyes; round faces; and they are going to spend all their downtime reading books and drinking tea#and have an inexplicable knack for training dogs’#it’s WEIRD. it’s so fucking weird that he had four kids and the two he didn’t even raise STILL fit into this mould#personal
