Jo Lupo vs. Samantha "Sam" Carter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember: don't vote on "who would win in a fight", but on "who, when given a task that fits her skillset and talents, would do that task better: more comprehensively, faster, with more pizzazz, with less collateral, etc."
Endorsements! "What is she good at?"
Jo Lupo, A Town Called EUReKA: She's a former United States Special Forces soldier, deputy Sheriff (should've really been Sheriff if it wasn't for sexism) and later head of security of GD, she's badass and intelligent!
Samantha "Sam" Carter, Stargate: Theoretical Astrophysicist - she's the reason the Stargate works. She's also (by the end of SG1) a Lt Colonel in the Air Force (think that's the rank. She's not a full Colonel but Teal'c calls her Colonel Carter and that's good enough for me). She can shoot straight and well, saved the SGC from Hathor's weird rohypnol breath in season 1, knows a whole bunch of science stuff, helped the Asgard beat up the Replicators and just generally was awesome.

"Was it Fargo or Zane?"
"Neither."
"Taggart?"
"Nope. It was Allison."

Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’ll call out your name, but you won’t call back.”
Thermometer1 | Delirium | “They don’t care about you.”
— Jo, look at the coffee. — I don't care about… — It's frozen solid. Zane! — Zane!
Like, reblog or comment if you save, please.
1 – my train of thought was thermometer → temperature → hypothermia

Still stuck on my Prank Day on SNW’s Enterprise idea, so bear with me rambling a little bit about it.
Basically it’s the idea that the crew celebrates an annual prank day. Considering how much Pike likes to tell jokes and make his crew feel overall happy (and how much he enjoyed to do his pirate impression), I feel like that’s something he would do, giving his crew an outlet to have fun with “harmless pranks”.
If you've ever seen the Eureka episode "In Too Deep” then you know what I’m talking about, but for those you don’t know, have some gifs for illustration...
Tumblr media
The more I think about it, the storylines of the episode would actually fit for SNW.
Ortegas would be the champion of pranks, because naturally she would have the best ideas with Christine being her loyal sidekick (Erica might have swaped all of Pike’s cooking spices/ingrediences once which resulted in a very awkward and bad tasting captain’s dinner and her getting banned from helping in the kitchen).
La’an would definitely run around like Jo, trying to keep the pranks under control and try to shut them down which would not stop the crew from having more fun of course.
Tumblr media
Spock would be just utterly confused at first at the logic of it all until Erica and Christine persuade him to help play a prank on La'an as a way for him indulge more in human side / humor ... and because he'd be like the only one not afraid to play a prank on La’an. Him changing her uniform into a sexy skintight leather outfit (or a certain princess dress) would be pretty fun!
Tumblr media
And if you wonder what Pike and Una would be doing while the ship is going crazy with pranks...
Jack and Allison’s plotline in the episode about them almost dying by getting caught in an experiment (not prank) gone wrong and them deciding to get married with their seemingly last breaths because they didn’t want to die not married to each other, gives all the Pikeuna feels imo!!!
Tumblr media
In conclusion, I miss Eureka so much and just want SNW to remake this episode!

Eureka Fanfic, Anyone?
Soo... My new favorite people on the internet, @ourunsungheroes42344, and @sarabahama have informed me of the current state of the Eureka fandom. And I - being the autistic writer mess I am - decided I was going to try to bring the fandom some good fics.
I've been scouring the internet and I have decided to do some Jo/Zane, as it is severly lacking. Whether my writing for Eureka will be like MHA (multiple fics) or TG:M (one flipping fic), who knows?
So, my question for you all is this: should I fast forward days, months, or years?

Ok but I had no idea the star of the biggest tv hijack in history was based on a Matt Frewer character?!

the Eureka Christmas episode "Do You See What I See" feels like (if you're willing to grant it any-sufficiently-advanced-technology-is-indistinguishable-from-magic because that's how the false reality was created or w/e) a Christmas-y precursor to (and perhaps it inspired) the The Librarians episode "The Librarians And The Fables Of Doom". It's not just got the broad-strokes like a little girl and magic (loosely in Eureka's case) book transforming the people of her small town into archetypal characters thematically representative of them in ways that kinda lead to some introspection on the heroes' parts but it's even got specifics the same like the ensemble's Tough Action Girl becoming a princess and them all getting "upgrades" for the final fight to get a fighting chance against an enemy the book also conjured up (with Eureka it was the "style" taking a turn for the Saturday-Morning-Cartoon anime and with The Librarians Cassandra's magical potential got woken up, Eve became a ninja princess and Stone became a robot huntsman)
