The Winner's Curse.
The Winner’s Curse.
It must not be at all cost, no, it’s very wrong, competition is good, it rewards the best, but not when it comes with a curse. Before bidding in a competitive environment, do a thorough independent analysis, use the inference of the analysis to guide your decisions throughout the process, avoid a pyrrhic victory. Sometimes, it’s better to work away with nothing but at the same time without…

I love you, I think you're wonderful, and I'm so so happy you're part of APV. Atti and Lily are my loves. -Nai
Nai, my favourite kitten, you have no idea how happy you have made me. And that’s just how you are, you bring a smile to people’s faces just by being your sweet and caring self. I’m so happy you’re my friend, and I know I can always come to you when I need someone to talk to about the good or bad things in my life. Sis sounds perfect. I adore you.

"1978. The beginning of the First Wizarding War. It has come on quickly and those involved are fighting between madness and sanity as they are forced into battle, never to return whole again.
We are a mature Harry Potter roleplay with an emphasis on psychological horror. We are not for the faint of heart."
Hello, everyone! If you are interested in writing and in the Marauders Era of the Harry Potter story, we would love to welcome you into A Pyrrhic Victory. At APV, the writers delve into the darker side of the story, focusing on the war-torn people fighting back against the Dark Lord when he rose the first time around. Whether you give a voice to a Death Eater, a member of the Order of the Phoenix, an Auror, a supporter of either side, a tremulously neutral party, or one of the newly-introduced old blood, the Knights of Walpurgis, the unexpected should be expected. Personally, I have met some of the greatest writers and people here that I have ever known. They make you care for the characters you want to hate and show that those you adore aren't so perfect all the way through. They challenge you and test the bounds of your writing with characters that tear apart the status quo, and I couldn't have asked for a better exercise of my ability or better people to write with. Come along and join Rabastan Lestrange and I at A Pyrrhic Victory?

Faith. He probably shouldn't have been surprised that she would be the reason because well, wasn't she always the reason? Reason he tried. Reason he made an ass out of himself. Reason he realised there was more to a relationship that just post-game sex. Reason he found out why people found it so hard to let someone they loved go – why they found it so hard to say they loved them in the first place. She changed his life. She changed him and no matter what happened between them he would always care about her. He would always try to protect her. If there was something he could do then he had to do it. There were no questions or pauses or doubts – he had to. Only in this case there were a million questions, pauses and doubts. Let's just clear one thing up right now: Danny doesn't give a crap about the supernatural. He really doesn't. He never wanted anything to do with it, acknowledge it or even hear about it. He was human just like everybody else. His mom never lied to him per say about the world they should have been a part of but she made it crystal clear that he was to have no part in it. She wouldn't lose him too. Another thing you should know is that Danny loves his mom. It's always been the two of them against everything. She was his mom, his dad, all the family he could ever need. He never cared about not having a dad because he had her. How could you ask for anything more? That in mind you can maybe understand the tightening Danny could feel in his chest as he knocked on his mom's bedroom door. You can maybe understand how sick he felt in his stomach. How he wished more than anything in this world that he wouldn't be the one to put that hurt look on her face but... he had to.
“Mom?”

I was getting worried because I was three days in to my off-week for the pill and still no crimson tide, so I put on my lightest-colored pair of underwear to try to tempt it out and it worked. Suck it, bitch!
