Buck as a character is still exploring his sexuality and figuring out his feelings- yes the firehouse gym scene was ??? BUT

There are still six more episodes of this season and another one to come.

As we’ve seen with their past relationships, things CHANGE, so for now, let’s enjoy a canonically bi Buck and not hate the writers OR the cast for giving us what we’ve been waiting for!

Hate on them for giving him a male love interest that’s not who you want and that’s just against everything fans have been waiting for

The characters are fake they can not hear you stop hating on them for their relationships

I'm just now watching episode 4, and avoiding all spoilers.

You know what I can’t get over? The episode were buck was trying to get Ts attention - it reminds me so much of that scene in 2x01 where buck and Eddie are in the gym and buck is trying to get eddies attention. Yes it’s passive aggressive but it’s giving that same sense of look at me - or maybe I’m just nuts lol

I think the parallels were deliberate. so I can completely understand why you are hung up on them!

The whole episode, s7e4, in my opinion is about Buck processing his feelings - and he has a lot of them. I think he is trying to get Eddie's attention back on him frequently in the episode and certainly in the gym scenes at the firehouse (Tommy isn't even there, so who else could he be trying to earn attention from other than Eddie?).

However, I think Buck is also drawn to Tommy and wants to get to know him, which we see in the opening scene when Buck seeks Tommy out and asks him about flying.

I think that episode is a good example for how two things can be true at once: Buck can be attracted to Tommy, that new fizzy-new-crush feeling, and he can also be deeply connected to his friendship with Eddie that might be more than friendship (though I am pretty sure Buck doesn't see it that way right now).

If the show didn't want these two truths to co-exist, I think they would have shot that episode, and frankly most of this season, quite differently.

Bestie you're soooo uninvested in your boy best friend. Only trying to get Tommy's attention here. You know what they say, fastest way to a man's heart is by flexing at his new friend who happens to be the father of your child. I can see how much you only have eyes for Tommy and feel super normal about Eddie.

y'all, before s7e4 I was actively watching three shows + 911, two of which were on going the other of which was a rewatch, I was also averaging two books a week - but then s7e4 happened and its all i can think about, I'VE REWATCHED IT SIX TIMES!!!

So anyway I apologize to my mutuals and followers for suddenly transforming into a 911 only page without warning - but I quite literally have 911 brainrot.

Maybe I'm gullible but s7e4 had me fully convinced my Hulu had glitched and showed me an episode of The Bachelor for like 2 minutes.

It was probably because the website I used to watch Criminal Minds on routinely glitched and showed me the South Korean version instead but still.

I don't know enough about timeslots & who airs what to know if that was actually the intention and I've never actually seen an episode of The Bachelor to know how realistic the 911 portrayal is, but that was a wild choice if so.
