Buck as a character is still exploring his sexuality and figuring out his feelings- yes the firehouse gym scene was ??? BUT

There are still six more episodes of this season and another one to come.

As we’ve seen with their past relationships, things CHANGE, so for now, let’s enjoy a canonically bi Buck and not hate the writers OR the cast for giving us what we’ve been waiting for!

Hate on them for giving him a male love interest that’s not who you want and that’s just against everything fans have been waiting for

No writer hate!!

No cast hate!! ESPECIALLY not Lou Ferringno Jr!

The characters are fake they can not hear you stop hating on them for their relationships

LEAVE THE WRITERS ALONE they’ve had it for four episodes so far and given us more than fox ever did

S7E3 : I love the fact that House canonically ships polyamory

S7E4 : I really relate to the not understanding or accepting irrational social norms, like come on 3/4 of the stuff we do is solely based on traditions, which are inherently based on nothing factual (and they're also most of the time based on religion which in and of itself is based on nothing factual), and ignorance/stereotypes which again are inherently based on nothing factual

Rick is SO stubborn. For a while, he was in "fuck shit up just to keep his family down" mode. Now, he's down to "do shady things but don't tell Morty because he'll endanger himself." He needs to reach the final step, which is, you know...don't put himself and Morty in that position to begin with. I guess he's forgotten how to live without a threat always hanging over his head.

Okay, yeah, I'm late to the party.

But episode 4 is not about Buck wanting Tommy's attention. The gym scene?.. The basketball scene? Even the direction of every scene in this episode - camera's on Buck and Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.

The dialogue?

"He has it circled."

So now that Eddie has another buddy, it's suddenly a problem.

"How'd you talk him into this? He always says no to me."

Interesting choice of words.

"So I'm your basketball beard."

Very interesting.

How would anyone believe this is about Tommy?

I'm just now watching episode 4, and avoiding all spoilers.

But Buck. Baby.

You know what I can’t get over? The episode were buck was trying to get Ts attention - it reminds me so much of that scene in 2x01 where buck and Eddie are in the gym and buck is trying to get eddies attention. Yes it’s passive aggressive but it’s giving that same sense of look at me - or maybe I’m just nuts lol

I think the parallels were deliberate. so I can completely understand why you are hung up on them!

The whole episode, s7e4, in my opinion is about Buck processing his feelings - and he has a lot of them. I think he is trying to get Eddie's attention back on him frequently in the episode and certainly in the gym scenes at the firehouse (Tommy isn't even there, so who else could he be trying to earn attention from other than Eddie?).

However, I think Buck is also drawn to Tommy and wants to get to know him, which we see in the opening scene when Buck seeks Tommy out and asks him about flying.

I think that episode is a good example for how two things can be true at once: Buck can be attracted to Tommy, that new fizzy-new-crush feeling, and he can also be deeply connected to his friendship with Eddie that might be more than friendship (though I am pretty sure Buck doesn't see it that way right now).

If the show didn't want these two truths to co-exist, I think they would have shot that episode, and frankly most of this season, quite differently.
