My personal ramblings re: the suit scene in the season premiere of 9-1-1 OG:

I’m seeing a lot of conversation over Eddie having a panic attack because ‘Ana was called mom’ and ‘he realizes that he doesn’t want her to be called that’, but personally, I think he had the initial panic attack because he was thinking of Shannon in the back of his mind, and how, like he said at the pool table, the last time that Christopher was in a suit was at Shannon’s funeral.  

I’m definitely pro-Buddie, but I don’t think Eddie was thinking in that moment that he didn’t want Ana to be called mom (not complaining about that interpretation in fics though!).

And when Ana says, ‘I’m a friend’, I think she was saying that she was a friend to Christopher, and not his mom.  Not that she is Eddie’s friend.

What was more telling was Eddie refusing to admit that meeting the family was a big deal IMO.

sorry for all the posts but i cannot stop thinking about this. they’re out on a call during the blackout and just had a successful rescue and heard from pepa that she and christopher are okay so they’re in good spirits and there’s this brief moment of calm where it’s just the two of them and they look up and there’s the milky way. and they alternate between looking at each other and looking at the sky and it’s such a tender and peaceful moment in the midst of the chaos. and they don’t say anything but they sway a little closer together so that their shoulders are touching until bobby calls them back to the truck

buck asking taylor to move in with him because his fear of abandonment has gotten so profound between maddie and chim still being gone and now eddie leaving and everyone else having their own families and he can't stop thinking about red and the bombing and the lawsuit and how fragile everything is (everything that's not already shattered) and jesus i can't do this i am physically ill
