I think it's time to make a growth stage for my wild kratts fanmade species..the Sickle-horned Equdore, YAHOOOO
Sickle-horns are pretty fast growers (if that's even a word), this is mostly because of competition, bigger and or older males get more females, though giving birth to males are pretty uncommon, so they must grow in able to procreate and make more babes..baba..LMAO
Newborn calves are lighter and have spots along their back and forehead for camoflauge, they start walking after 5 hours post birth.
Newborns male and females pretty much look similar, only teenage and adult years is where their sexual dymorphism is visible.
Tumblr media
Females usually grow bigger than the males during their immature stage (around 4-7 years old in species' years) but as they get older, female Sickle-horns will grow slower as the males will start growing rapidly due to puberty.
At 5 weeks, they will grow their horns, the process is...uncomfortable at best, a bit painful but not so much. It's like a mosquito bite.
Tumblr media
After 8-9 months, they will eventually lose their spots since they are old enough to find food along will their mothers, they will stop drinking mother's milk after this stage.
Tumblr media
Teenage years, this is where they start growing faster, they start to grow their beards, and their horns will shape into the iconic sickle-like horns slowly. The leg fur will start growing too, and will start developing their striped patterns.
Tumblr media
You may be wondering, what's with the white dot near the eyes? Well, when they're around 1 year old, Sickle-horns are old enough to hunt on their own, since they are omnivores. It is speculated that the white dot is mimicing the Sickle-horns eyes, the reason why is to trick their prey by thinking it is not hunting or they are not looking at them, even though they are looking at them straight, their pupils dialate when hunting.
Another speculation is not just for hunting, eyes are the culnerable part of the body, being unable to see after getting into a fightor attacked will turn them vulnerable, much like orcas, the attacker or predatore will be tricked into attacking the "eye" of the Sickle-horn, but once they fail, the Sickle-horn will attack them back flawlessly
Finally, the adult stage, male Sickle-horns will start growing very slowly at 2-3 years, and will usually stay 9-10 feet and the females will stay around 7-8 feet tall. At this age they will find females and create a pack or a group and be the alpha of the group, taking care of the cows (no idea what do you call a female antelope species...BAHAHAA) and protect them.
Tumblr media
Another info: the male Sickle-horns are not the "king" of their group, they don't get away with their actions. if the alpha starts misbehaving or attack the calves (mostly male calves) the females will have every right to put him at his place to do his job as the provider and protecter, if he doesn't learn his lesson, the females WILL kick out the male by either attacking him or intimidate, and no longer be the alpha until the male will find another group of females.
Sickle-horned Equdores live around 4-10 years in the wild, mostly killed by being hunted or the males die from a fight with another male, in captivity, they live around more than 15 years. Sickle-horns don't exactly die of old age, and they will keep growing, just very slowly.
In 1996, two people found a male Sickle-horned Equdore who's around 30 years old,he was the oldest Male Sickle-horn that lived in the wild. unfortunately, those two people were poachers and killed the oldest known male. Good news those two went in jail for hunting down an endangered species, sentenced 30 years in jail. But.....since i'm making this in 2025, those two poachers will be free in like..10 months, AKA 2026..sigh (me sighing in disbelief as if this is real life), but they were like 40 at the time, so they're too old to do shit if they were to be released anyway
Tumblr media
No one has female Sickle-horns older than the lumberjack (the 30 year old male Equdore, no idea why they named the guy lumberjack but it's probably because of the beefy build this guy had and called him that because of the stereotype of lumberjacks being buff as hell, full grown beard and all). the oldest was 28 years old found in 2010, and this female is kept inside a captivity after an injury in the hind leg of her in 2016, fortunately she's alive today, in the world of wild kratts that is...

15 Facts About E. Jean Carroll’s Allegations Against Trump the Media Don’t Want You to Know
Tumblr media
1.  Bergdorf Goodman has no surveillance video of the alleged incident.
2.  There are zero witnesses to the alleged sexual attack.
3.  Carroll first came forward — conveniently — with the allegations while promoting her book What Do We Need Men For? in 2019, which featured a list of “The Most Hideous Men of My Life.”
4.  Carroll was unable to remember when this alleged attack even occurred. She told her lawyer in 2023, “This question, the when, the when, the date, has been something I’ve [been] constantly trying to pin down.” She has jumped years — originally beginning with 1994, then moving to 1995, and even floating to 1996. She cannot remember the season in which the alleged attack occurred either.
5.  The Donna Karan blazer dress she claims to have worn during the alleged incident was not even available at the time of her claims. Trump Attorney Boris Epshteyn told reporters, “She said, ‘This is the dress I wore in 1994.’ They went back, they checked. The dress wasn’t even made in 1994.”
“And that’s why the date’s moved around. This is the 80s. Is it the 90s? Is it the 2000s? President Trump has consistently stated that he was falsely accused, and he has the right to defend himself,” he added.
6.  She never came forward with these allegations over the years despite constantly being open about sexuality, posting things that were very sexual in nature on social media — many of which Trump has shared. They include remarks such as “How do you know your ‘unwanted sexual advance’ is unwanted, until you advance it?” and “Sex Tip I Learned From My Dog: When in heat, chase the male until he collapses with exhaustion … then jump him!”
7.  She said she was never raped, telling the New York Times’ podcast, The Daily,“Every woman gets to choose her word. Every woman gets to choose how she describes it. This is my way of saying it. This is my word. My word is ‘fight.’ My word is not the ‘victim’ word. I have not — I have not been raped,” she continued. “I have — something has not been done to me. I fought. That’s the thing.”
8.  She named her cat “Vagina.” “Her dog, or her cat, was named ‘Vagina.’ The judge wouldn’t allow us to put that in — all of these things — but with her, they could put in anything: Access Hollywood,” Trump told CNN.
9.  Joe Tacopina, an attorney for Trump, pointed out in May 2023 that Carroll’s entire story has incredible similarities to a 2012 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In that episode, titled “Theatre and Tricks,” an individual talks about a rape fantasy in Bergdorf Goodman — the same department store where Carroll claims the incident took place.
10.  Speaking of shows, Carroll loved Trump’s show The Apprentice.
“I was a big fan of the show. Very impressed by it,” Carroll said on the witness stand, adding that she “had never seen such a witty competition on TV, and it was about something worthwhile, competing.”
11.  Carroll made a joke associating sex with Bergdorf Goodman in a November 1993 edition of Elle, which was before the alleged Trump attack took place. As Breitbart News detailed:
Carroll was responding to a letter from a female reader concerned that she was having trouble achieving orgasm through sexual intercourse alone while the reader said that she could climax through foreplay. “Is there any way I could learn to reach orgasm through sex?” asked the reader in the November 1993 edition. “Maybe books I could read?” Carroll replied with the following advice (emphasis added): Dear Snowed Under: Stop flagellating yourself. Gadzooks! At least you have orgasms. And if that isn’t spontaneous sex I don’t know what is. Most women (about 70 percent) experience difficulties climaxing through intercourse alone. So you’re perfectly normal. Begin by reading For Yourself by Dr. Lonnie Barbach. She’ll give you excellent instructions on how to have an orgasm during intercourse. Then after 313 queenhell love-wiggles, move on to Gretta Garbo’s favorite love position – the top. (In erotic scenes, Garbo is always above the man. So are Sharon Stone, Bette Midler and Katherine Hepburn). Indeed, this location works better for women than the fourth floor of Bergdorf’s.
12.  Carroll is financially backed by anti-Trump Democrat megadonor Reid Hoffman, who has openly admitted to visiting convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private island.
13.  Democrat party activists back her as well, as Breitbart News detailed:
Indeed, one of Carroll’s attorneys is Roberta Kaplan — a Democrat Party activist who led the group Time’s Up. She left the activist group after it was revealed she was aiding former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in attempting to discredit the Democrat’s accusers. It served as a great irony as Time’s Up seeks to defend women from what it claims is discrimination and harassment. This fact has led to mounting speculation that Kaplan only gets involved in cases that she views as politically expedient. Further, Federal District Judge Lewis Kaplan is overseeing the process and has connections to Carroll’s other attorney, Shawn Crowley. She was actually a law clerk for Judge Kaplan, and he officiated her wedding. That aside, Trump has denied knowing the left-wing activist as the only evidence of any contact is a single picture with Carroll greeting Trump and his ex-wife Ivana at an event greeting line over 35 years ago. Carroll has yet to provide solid evidence of this alleged encounter and will not use the dress that she claims had DNA on it from this alleged incident. Even Trump publicly said the dress should be part of the case. Further, there are no eyewitnesses of this alleged incident, which supposedly occurred at the popular New York City department store.
14.  The lawsuit was only able to proceed after Democrats created the Adult Survivors Act in 2022. She conveniently pursued this suit in November following the law going into effect, which allowed her to avoid the statute of limitations for this case.
15.  Carroll once said, “Most people think of rape as sexy.”
Donald Trump Jr. also retweeted a list of facts about Carroll, urging others to take a look:
- She couldn't recall the date, month, season, or year the incident happened -
She never told anyone about it, despite being publicly obsessed with her own sexuality -
The dress she claims to have been wearing didn't exist at the time -
Her description of the dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman was inaccurate, making her sequence of events impossible -
Her lawsuit was bankrolled by Jeffrey Epstein pal and Democrat (and Nikki Haley) mega-donor Reid Hoffman -
Democrats created a law (The Adult Survivors Act in 2022) to enable her lawsuit to proceed - Her accusation is the exact plotline of an episode of Law & Order (one of her "favorite shows") -
Trump's Apprentice was also one of her favorite shows -
She has a history of falsely accusing men of r*pe, including Les Moonves - She told Anderson Cooper, "most people think of r*pe as being sexy. Think of the fantasies." -
She made a career promoting promiscuity, even writing glowingly of sexual assault and naming her cat Vagina
We owe Stalin and Hitler a huge apology. We are ever so bad as they ever were. This isn't Justice. Its punishment for for disobeying the deep state elites.

Random Thought: Why does all "90's Anime style" fanart just look like Sailor Moon?
Okay, obviously not all fanart looks like it. But if you were to type in "90s anime style" here on Tumblr or DeviantArt at the time of this post, it at least seems to be the majority stand-in for 90s anime aesthetic, right? Especially in the characters' eyes.
Don't me wrong, this is not a knock against Sailor Moon. It is a great anime, and the collective character designs by Kazuko Tadano, Ikuko Ito, and Mari Tominaga among other staff are iconic. So iconic that Tadano was brought back as the character designer for the latest Sailor Moon movies. That is quite the staying power.
But let's be fair, there are plenty of 90s anime out there that can also be used as inspiration. So, here are the names of 11 character designers alongside some gifs of shows/projects they worked on in that role. Some you may not know but you've seen their work, and others you probably know for their distinct art style or association with a franchise.
Things worth noting: First, the years listed here with some anime may reflect when the artists' work started airing, rather than when the anime itself actually started. Some folks listed here enter their projects mid-production in other roles, while others are in the role from the start. Second, each entry will list 1 or 2 projects aired/released during the 90s, but it will be noted if the artist's role continues beyond that with certain franchises. Lastly, these artists are listed in no particular order, so no "top 11" hierarchy. With that said, here's our examples:
Hisashi Eguchi (Roujin Z[1991], Sonic the Hedgehog CD [1993])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru(Dragon Ball franchise (Z [1993-96], GT [1996], Daima [2024]), Digimon franchise [1999-2002, 2019-2023])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Kumiko Takahashi (Cardcaptor Sakura [1998-2000], Birdy The Mighty[1996])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Trigun[1998], Slayers franchise[1995-97])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Atsuko Nakajima (Ranma 1/2[1989-1992], You're Under Arrest[1996])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Sayuri Ichiishi (Pokémon[Pokémon design: 1996-present, human character design: 1996-2017])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. Atsuko Ishida (Magic Knight Rayearth[1994-1995])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. Masaya Onishi (Yu Yu Hakusho[1993-1994])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. Toshihiro Kawamoto(Cowboy Bebop[1998-1999], Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team[1996])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. Hiroshi Osaka(Gundam franchise[Mobile Suit Victory Gundam: 1993-1994, Mobile Fighter G-Gundam:1994-1995])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
11. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto(Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water[1990-1991], Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise[1995-1997, 2007-2021])
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Might've leaned a bit more on the Shonen side of things than Shojo, but I hope you can see my point😅. There are tons of 90s anime out there with their own unique feel and aesthetic. These are only 11 names that I found.
For anyone drawing 90s anime style fanart, I hope this has given you some inspiration, and I encourage anyone reading this to look up your favourite anime on Anime News Network's encyclopedia and see who's responsible for helping bring your favorite characters to life on screen and what other shows they've worked on.

9 Queer Movies from the 1990s You May Not Have Heard Of
It's New Years, which means it's time for lists. And while everyone else is doing 'top X of 2023,' I've decided to list 9 queer movies from the 1990s. Why? Because I wanna. Plus, in discussions of representation, I often see folks talk about it with a heavy focus on mainstream 'Hollywood' produced movies, which leads folks to talk as though progress has been linear. As if, in the past there was no/'bad' queer representation and now there is 'good' representation. But of course it's not that simple. Plenty of amazing queer movies were produced in the past decades...they were just indie movies and thus difficult to find in a world prior to Netflix and Mubi and whatnot. But now we have streaming services, so allow me to share some of my favorites from the before times (specifically the 1990s).
Without further ado....here is an alphabetical list of queer movies from the 90s you may not have heard of (especially if you're under 30).
--
Tumblr media
Beautiful Thing (1996) (dir. Hettie Macdonald)
Before there was Heartstopper, there was Beautiful Thing. It's a story about two gay teens, one sporty and one very much not sporty...and about how they deal with pressure to come out and pressure to hide who they are. It's a very sweet coming of age story, really. However, unlike Heartstopper, in Beautiful Thing the economic class of the protagonists plays an important role in the story (the characters all live on a counsel estate in London). The characters stories are nearly as much about them being working class as it is about the two main character being gay. It's one of the first movies I ever saw about gay teens, and I loved it. I still get a wistful smile every time I hear Mama Cass Elliot's "Make Your Own Kind of Music." (cw for parental abuse)
--
Tumblr media
Edward II (1991) (dir. Derek Jarman)
The real Edward II was King of England for 20 years in the 14th century. At the end of the 16th century, Christopher Marlowe wrote a play about Edward's reign and eventual downfall. In 1991, Derek Jarman streamlined Marlowe's play and brought all the homosexual subtext between Edward and Gaveston way out front. In the film, Edward II is in prison and reflects on the events which have led him to that point. The trouble begins when Edward takes the throne and brings his exiled lover, Gaveston, back to England. All around them the rest of the aristocracy (including Edward's wife) conspire to bring Gaveston down. The movie itself is anachronistic (set in 1991), with minimal sets and costume, and staged a lot like a play. A lot of the dialogue is right out of Marlowe's play, though there are some changes to the story (notably at the end). It's honestly my favorite Derek Jarman movie, and frankly one of my favorite movies, full stop. (cw for blood, animal corpses, violent death)
--
Tumblr media
Fire (1996) (dir. Deepa Mehta)
Fire is the first film in the Elements Trilogy written and directed by Deepa Mehta. Each film in the trilogy is about different characters in India, with the connection between the three being thematic rather than plot or character. Fire is about two Indian women, Radha and Sita, who form a bond through their struggles living within a traditional "joint-family" (i.e. a family where all extended family live together and all money and resources are shared). The women in this family have very little agency and this film explores how the two main characters navigate through it. The men in this film are also repressed by the social structure in which they live, and this film spends some time looking at that as well. It's a film about queer desire between women living under patriarchy. (All the movies on this list are available on streaming services in the US, except Fire. However, I was able to find it uploaded to a random YouTube channel) (cw for someone catching on fire, brief domestic violence (a slap), and non-consensual kissing)
--
Tumblr media
Happy Together (1997) (dir. Wong Kar-wai)
In Happy Together, two men from Hong Kong travel to Argentina and eventually get stuck there when they run out of money and are unable to return home. The relationship between these two men is very tumultuous, with a lot of arguing and breaking up and getting back together. It's one of the first movies I saw in which queer folks have, just, regular ol' relationship drama - exasperated by the regular ol' struggles of life. (i cant remember if there are any content warnings i should put here; it's been a few years since i've seen it)
--
Tumblr media
Lilies (1996) (dir. John Greyson)
Lilies is a Canadian film in which a prisoner requests a bishop come to the prison to hear the prisoner's last confession. It quickly becomes clear, however, that the prisoners have something else in mind when they begin staging a play. It turns out the bishop and prisoner knew each other as teens, and the play is about the events in their lives that led up to the prisoner being put on trial. So you end up with a play-within-a-play (or rather a play-within-a-movie). The film weaves between the production staged in the prison and the memory of the events in a really fluid way. All the prisoners portray their characters in the 'memory' sections, which lends itself to some really great moments in the prison sections. And at the heart of this memory/story is a queer love story. (cw for parental abuse, murder, fire, and suicide)
--
Tumblr media
The Living End (1992) (dir. Gregg Araki)
This is a film about two young gay men who are diagnosed HIV positive. Unlike more mainstream films about HIV that came before (and after), The Living End wears its anger and pain on its sleeve. The entire world is entirely fucked up, and so these two men turn to a nihilistic outlook. The acting is just okay and some of the dialog is a bit ridiculous...but what draws me to rewatch this movie is the way that it conveys the emotion of the time. It's a ball of rage manifest on film. (cw for attempted suicide, rape, murder)
--
Tumblr media
Love is the Devil (1998) (dir. John Maybury)
One of the problems with the average biopic is that it attempts to portray a person's entire life in a single movie. Thankfully, Love is the Devil doesn't have that problem; it focuses on only 8 years of Francis Bacon's life - the time he spent with a man named George Dyer. By this point, Bacon was already an extremely famous artist (and, at least in the film, a bit of an asshole). Bacon meets Dyer as Dyer attempts to burgle Bacon's studio - and thus begins an extremely dysfunctional love affair. If you want to see Derek Jacobi and Daniel Craig portray this dysfunctional relationship, then this is the movie for you. Also, if you want to see a biopic that lets the subject of the film be portrayed as a shitty person, this is a film for you. (cw for bdsm, drug use, untreated mental illness, and suicide)
--
Tumblr media
Orlando (1992) (dir. Sally Potter)
From right out the gate, Orlando announces its queer themes by having Quentin Crisp portray Queen Elizabeth I, and Tilda Swinton portray Orlando (a man). From the first scenes it becomes clear that gender is going to be a main theme in the movie. Orlando is a young man who will never grow old and never die. He begins life in the 1500s, during Queen Elizabeth's reign, and we see him (and later, her) throughout the centuries between then and 'present' day (1992). The film is broken into thematic chunks (poetry, politics, society, etc). In each of these chunks we see Orlando's life as it reflects the social norms of the time (especially gender norms).
--
Tumblr media
Swoon (1992) (dir. Tom Kalin)
Like Rope (1948) and Compulsion (1959), Swoon is a film about the Leopold and Loeb murder. Unlike the earlier films, Swoon makes the gay relationship between Leopold and Loeb explicit. Their relationship in the film is fairly uneven, with Loeb being characterized as more of an explicit manipulator. Leopold, on the other hand, is driven more by wanting to please Leob. Complicating this dynamic is the way that Leopold is the one more interested in their sexual relationship. Is Loeb exchanging sex for help with his criminal activities? Or is Leopold committing crimes in order to elicit sex from Loeb? Or both...something a bit more complicated than either/or? The film, especially the latter half, eschews and lampoons the sensationalism of the reporting of the crime from the time. (cw for murder, blood (in black and white), and animal corpses)
--
Honorable mention goes to more well-known movies I didn't put on this list, such as: But I'm a Cheerleader, Velvet Goldmine, Bound, Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Birdcage, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, My Own Private Idaho, Bent...there are actually a whole lot of queer movies from the 1990s, now that I think about it.

One day summarised in the Harrington/Hargrove household, May 28th 1996
5AM:
Billy has woken up for good and is feeding the dog, despite instruction from Steve not to that early in the morning. Steve is heavily asleep still, with hair in his mouth. And snoring.
6AM:
Steve is still very much asleep. Billy takes the dog on its first walk of the day.
6:30AM:
Steve is now awake and is loudly complaining about grey hairs in front of the bathroom mirror. Billy is making them both breakfast (eggs on toast) and is playing music that Steve hates. The dog is sitting on a pile of coats in the middle of the hallway.
7AM:
Steve reminds Billy that they do not have time for “passionate morning sex” because they both have chores to do.
7:30AM:
Billy rebels from doing the laundry by hiding in the closet. He throws a pillow at Steve for making a closeted joke.
8AM:
Hour long hair routines for both of them.
9:15AM:
It’s Steve’s turn to walk the dog. Billy takes advantage of the alone time to watch reality tv he’d never admit to watching around anyone else.
11:25AM:
Heather and Robin visit. Steve gets dared to see if he still fits into his Scoops uniform, 11 years later. He very much does.
12:45PM:
Steve has a light lunch. Billy goes to a consultation about a new tattoo (a shared one with Steve.)
2:20PM:
Billy has a panic attack which he doesn’t know the reason for. Steve holds him for some time while he calms down.
4PM:
The third dog walk of the day. Billy stalls them for 10 minutes because he finds a tree that looks like a penis.
6PM:
Steve manages to completely spill the dinner he was making. They get takeout instead.
7PM:
They shower together (not like that) and Billy tries to give Steve a porn moustache with bubbles. Despite Billy’s insistence, Steve knows he couldn’t pull it off.
8PM:
Billy finally gets his passionate sex and then they watch half an hour of Heathers for Steve.
9:30PM:
They are both asleep because they are mentally 80.

Helena Bertinelli/Huntress Reading List/Completionist Guide
Tumblr media
Helena Bertinelli is the Huntress of Prime Earth. She has existed as a character since 1989, and has appeared in her own series as well as multiple other series throughout the years. Most well known for being a Bird of Prey, she has a long history that tends to be hard to track. Instead of hunting down all of the issues, this guide has every one of her appearances in the attempt to follow her chronologically, but where her movements couldn’t be followed the natural passing of time was used to follow the story.
This is both a reading list and a completionist guide. This means there will be times when the issue only has a cameo of Helena. For a casual reader this list may be a little much. If that is the case click [here] for a shorter list that can get you started on Helena.
Moving onto Content Warnings.
There will be mentions and depictions of Sexual Assault of Adults and Minors, Slavery, PTSD, and Murder. These are some of the big Content Warnings. That being said let’s get started.

To the Helena Bertinelli fans I hope you enjoy!
@inkareds I finished the complete guide if you want to check it out.
If I made any mistakes or forgot something leave a comment, or send me a message. I tried to include everything, but I could have messed up. I will also try to update this as new Huntress stuff comes out, so the list may grow.

The Year In Doom & Gloom
Doom & Gloom From The Tomb celebrated its 15th anniversary this year, which is crazy. But what can I say, I keep finding cool live tapes and keep feeling compelled to share them with you ... whoever you are! A lot of this website is just me talking to myself, hashing and rehashing and re-re-hashing various obsessions, getting impossibly niche about some of my favorite artists, trying to shine a light into the darkest corners of music history. But that makes it sound like it's a serious endeavor. Mostly, it's fun. I hope it's fun for you too. So, if you need to catch up, here's a tip-of-the-iceberg rundown of what we checked out over the last 12 months ... as always, thank a taper!

“The makers of puberty blocking drugs such as Lupron and Supprelin warn that possible side effects include emotional instability, mood changes, aggression, nervousness, anxiety, agitation, confusion, delusions, insomnia, and depression, adding that you should "monitor for development or worsening of psychiatric symptoms during treatment."(12) Depression is considered a common side effect of puberty blockers, and according to drug manufacturers, "may be severe."(13)
Girls who take GnRHa experience a significant increase in behavioral and emotional problems and are more likely to self-harm.(14)
According to the largest gender clinic in the UK, after a year of being on puberty blockers, there was a significant increase in young women who agreed with the statement "I deliberately try to hurt or kill myself."(15) It should be noted, however, that there was no control group in this study, and so one cannot infer causation. What's clear, though, is that the drug was hardly curing the psychological distress of the children who took it. Rather, they expressed greater dissatisfaction with their bodies after being on the drug.(16) In the words of a team of researchers who promote the treatment, "It is therefore unlikely that GnRHa treatment will result in significant reduction in body dissatisfaction.’(17)
Understanding the role of hormones in brain functioning helps to explain why the drugs could have a negative emotional impact.
Puberty blocking drugs shut down the production of estrogen and progesterone. However, researchers believe that estrogen can have a protective effect against mental illnesses such as depression, acting as "nature's psychoprotectant."(18) Dr. Karen Berman, a senior investigator for the National Institutes of Mental Health, studied the effect of Lupron on the female brain. After injecting women with the drug, she scanned their brains with a PET scan and found that the activity in the frontal lobes of their brains had slowed to a near stop.(19) This leads to dulled or inappropriate emotions, lack of motivation, impulsiveness, and altered mental states such as delirium, disorientation, and confusion.(20) Studies also showed that puberty blockers cause memory problems and stunt brain development, which is the last thing a young person needs when making life-changing decisions about his or her future.(21) Therefore, those who argue that the outcomes of puberty blockers are uncertain are guilty of what some psychologists call "HARKing:" hypothesizing after the results are known.”

Tumblr media
A Year of Massive Shifts, Political Unrest, and Technological Revolution
The astrology of late 2024 through 2025 is nothing short of seismic. This period will usher in a new era of war and rebellion (Saturn in Aries), AI revolutions (Pluto in Aquarius), economic instability (Jupiter in Cancer), and radical change (Uranus in Gemini).
If you’ve been waiting for a time of collective upheaval, historical transitions, and power shifts, this is it.
This year is an echo of past revolutions, wars, and financial crashes—but how we handle it will define the future.
