8th Undertale Anniversary

8 years of undertale. Lordy. This fandom has endured so much. And this year has not exactly been the best for me. But as my mom and gf has said, I’ve endured and stayed strong. So here is to another year of telling wholesome (but kinda dark) stories with these characters I cherish with all my damn heart. Much love and bless to all of you. Stay determined and let your souls shine brightly like stars! ^^ Never forget everyone! You are the colors in the darkness. Always cherish those around you. i love hearing about you and your wife it gives me so much warmth and hope - if your comfortable, do you have a first meeting or first date story? totally ok if you'd not share! i hope you and your wife have a wonderful anniversary, 11 years is quite a feat!

oh ho ho you've unlocked my special interest. i love talking about our first meeting/date.

we actually "met" on tumblr! we both signed up for this penpal blog where you got matched with someone who had similar interests as you. i verified with my wife this morning and we both said we liked cats-i'm assuming that's what they matched us over. i dropped a joke in her inbox that went unanswered for days despite her reblogging and posting and was like welp, that was a good shot, champ, but you messed it up. no friends for you.

now, this was in the days when tumblr's inbox system (which limited you to 10 asks a day) ate every other message. so it's not that she didn't think it was funny, she just didn't get it. i found this out when i dropped the same joke a second time in her inbox and lo and behold! she thought it was funny. (i have recycled this joke many times over the year and always get an eye roll. like, babe. it's a classic. it's the thundapants joke!)

she did not think it was funny when i told her i was a transplant living in the the armpit of massachusetts because-lo and behold a second time-that's where she grew up and was also still living! it was an auspicious start for me, truly. we figured out that we had a bunch of things in common-i did my student teaching at her high school when she was a senior there, i was a substitute teacher for her little sister's 8th grade class, we missed each other in college by a couple of classes, my roommate and best friend worked at the PT office my wife frequented. we kind of went around each other for a while before we finally landed in the same place.

it took me a month and a half of my best jokes to convince her to go on a date with me because, as she said, she was super nervous. i was like, you have not truly met me yet because i am the stupidest person on earth and not worthy of nervousness. but she finally said yes! and we went out to a local chinese restaurant for crab rangoons. it shared a parking lot with the diner i worked at so i ate there all the time and the people there were so surprised i was (a) sitting down to eat and (b) eating with somebody!

(thus began our tradition of ending up on someone else's first date. the couple behind us was clearly meeting for the first time. he was telling her his credit score and that she could order whatever she wanted off the menu, no worries because he could pay for it. we cringed each time he opened his mouth but it was kind of perfect in a way because it gave us something to whisper about. we have since ended up on way too many first dates to count. it is kind of just a thing that happens to us, no matter where we go.)

our date was really, really good. we had talked A LOT via tumblr inbox (messages didn't exist yet) and the conversation just kind of picked up in person. so much so that 4 hours went by and they were putting up the chairs. and then we talked for a while in the parking lot too until my roommate hit me with the "are you alive or did she murder you and dump your body somewhere?" text. i left her on read and kept talking until the restaurant locked up and all the people went home. i just didn't want to leave. i felt like i knew my wife already, you know? like things just clicked. she was funny and intelligent and she listened when i went on the first of many, many tangents. her patience for me is unmatched and started out that way.

we spent the rest of the summer we lived there spending as much time as we could together. i distinctly remember doing short order cook shifts at the diner i worked at and then rolling up to her house to pick her up and drive around. we had to drive with the windows down because my clothes just effused grease from the fryers. we watched so many movies at my apartment-which is hilarious because about a year into our relationship she informed she was NOT a movie person, she just wanted to spend time together. we have watched maybe ten movies together since that first year.

then i got a full-time job on the other side of the mountain, we moved, bought a house, got married, and the rest is history. but we get crab rangoons on every anniversary and do a lame-o instagram post about each other and i continue to be the stupidest person in the room, just very stupid over her.

2) Does PokéAni XY&Z count? What counts as TSME?

The rules are lax. The XY&Z season of PokéAni definitely counts, as TSME characters played a very important role in it. So does the World Championships in Journeys, since Alan appeared in it. As a basic principle, so long as it involves a character that appeared in Act I-IV of TSME, it counts as TSME. So yes, you can absolutely create a fanwork about Daigo/Steven exploring Hoenn with Shouta/Sawyer, or Pachira/Malva dating Carnet/Diantha if your heart desires. You can also create fanworks with TSME characters and characters they never interacted with in canon!

3) Other rules

This blog will have ship art and will accept any ship. Do not harrass people over ships. Racy pieces or pieces with content warnings will be accepted on the blog and tagged with a "n/sfw" tag and "cw" tag. For viewers who do not want to risk seeing any such pieces, you can block these 2 tags. ANNIVERSARY CHANGES OVERVIEW AND HOW TO MAKE THEM

Hey everyone!

With all of the anniversary posts out, we wanted to compile all of the information in one place and also explain how to claim everything on Monday, July 8th when it all goes into effect! So before we explain anything, here is the full list of posts:

Out of these seven things, the three we want to focus on more for this post are the ABILITY LIMITATION CHANGES, LUMINOUS STATUS, and the WEAPON UNLOCK CHANGES. These are all things we have left (largely) in the hands of you guys to be done, but in terms of process we're going to have to ask for a little bit of work on your end before you can do so. More below the cut!

POSTING YOUR CHANGES

Basically, when you make these changes to your stats page, we ask that you first reread the relevant posts and make a post including the following information, tagged with "#isola anniversary changes" on (not before) July 8th!:

A record of which limitations you are removing from your unlocked powers according the ABILITY LIMITATION CHANGES post. Remember to contact the Galaxy blog if your character has limitations that don't fall under the examples, if your character's starting ability is overpowered, or if you're unsure about how this works.

A record of your character's starting power and the limitations you're removing according to the LUMINOUS STATUS post. Again, please contact the Galaxy blog if your starting ability would be too overpowered uncapped, or if you've used unlocks in the past on your starting ability so you can exchange that unlock for something else.

Which weapons you'll be unlocking according to the WEAPON UNLOCK CHANGES post. Remember that you'll need to contact the Galaxy blog to exchange any weapons you've used unlocks for in the past if you didn't claim one as a rank up unlock!

You can find an example post here! While you don't need to format it the exact same way, make sure to include all of that information! We're asking everyone to make these posts so that we have a quick way to check what everyone is being changed so that we can make sure it's being done correctly.

HOW TO MAKE EXCHANGES

In the case that you need to make exchanges in the Galaxy blog, please make sure you include all of the information below. Keep in mind we have records of every unlock given out, so make sure your information is accurate!

Which unlocks you are exchanging.

How you received those unlocks (rank up, event reward, shop purchase, etc).

Under what policy change you're eligible for the exchange.

What you would like to exchange that unlock for (which power, Stars, if you want to pass that unlock to a different character, etc).

If you would like to give the unlock to another character, please remember that a single character can only receive two unlocks from outside sources total! You can send multiple exchanges in the same ask, but please do not send your free unlock request from day 7 in the same ask.

THE BIG FIND 2023: Day 10

The Big Find is a 10-day long Drarry fic-finding marathon to celebrate the blog’s anniversary. Below is the Day 10 compilation of lost fics, both old and new, that we’ve been unable to find. Our aim is to get as much attention to these lost fics as possible, to help people finally find their missing fics! Anyone can participate by reblogging, reading through each list, providing additional fic details, and informing us the title, author, or link of a fic, and their respective number in the comment section. Happy finding!

10.1 Draco is good and a spy for the light side, I’m not sure if it’s established relationship but he does date harry and one day he found out how lucius basically shame and insult (kinda slutshame) him in the paper, and he kinda has a panic attack and if I’m not mistaken the Weasleys really take care of him. In the end he is pregnant, I’m not sure but I think the title is something like 0.0005 in millions but I can find it.

10.2 The only thing I remember is that Harry is meeting Seamus and Dean with Draco at a diner maybe? Seamus tries to steal food from Harry’s plate and Draco tells him not to do it. Because Harry almost freaked out back in school when Patil tried to do it also. I think it was Lavender who picked some food and Harry’s magic reacted by freezing?/lowered the temp of the Great Hall.

10.3 ao3, chaptered, maybe 8th year but in hogwarts as students. draco stopping himself from completely falling for harry or something, they once went to a club and harry danced (i think it was a lap dance?) in front of draco and their friends. I remember draco taking harry back to his dorm and him leaving a sobering potion for harry to take the next morning because harry was completely drunk that night. I also remember harry regretting what he did the next day. I vaguely remember them both outside a club or pub, draco telling harry to stop what he was asking for because harry has an idea that draco wanted him too and ron saw them both, i don’t know if they kissed or something but harry was drunk. I also remember harry and ginny being close friends and ginny putting on some eyeliner on harry. I also remember ginny dressing up harry and trying things on him or something. and i think at the first scene harry wore these jeans that made his arse looks so good.

10.4 It was before sixth year and before sirius died - maybe end of fourth year or fifth year hols? - and the trio were at grimmauld when narcissa and draco arrive there. apparently narcissa fled from lucius because of voldy and sought refuge at the Black home, not knowing it was the Order’s hq. Eventually the Order lets them stay there, and neither draco nor narcissa go back as a spy.

10.5 looking for a fic that was a one shot. It takes place during sixth year and Draco is having a rough time trying to rebuild the cabinet, but Harry comes up to him because he looks stressed and offers to sleep with him, saying something like “you’d be less of a git if you got laid” (smut ensues but I can’t remember if it was rated M or E). They go to the room of requirement but I know at the end they have a conversation where Harry offers Draco to switch sides.

10.6 completed fic where Harry and Draco work for the ministry (Aurors, I think). Draco is team leader or something like that and pushes the aurors to look for Greyback. Harry thinks he is paranoid to still search for him. But they end up hunting Greyback because Draco’s hunch was right. Draco and Harry always bicker and fight publicly with each other with a lot of inuendo involved. Once they fight in front of the ministry elevators about hunting for Greyback and Harry accuses him of having a relationship with Greyback or something like that. Because of these fights Rita Skeeter that snuck into the ministry as a beetle publishes an article that says the two of them are a couple in secret. So Kingsley (I think) hires another very young reporter (I think Luna’s cousin) to shadow the investigation team to prove otherwise (it doesn’t go as planned). Harry and Draco end up in a lot of compromising situations. Talking about chaining one another or falling and landing on each other when the reporter just enters the room. I think Ron is Harry’s auror partner and there are at least two other members of the team - I think both are OCs. And there was at least one at least in one interrogation with Veritaserum. Unfortunately I don’t know anymore when or where I read the fanfic

10.7 looking for a fic that I read on ao3 but I can only remember a small detail, so no worries if it’s too vague to find it. What I remember is that draco sends molly a gift basket for killing bellatrix and ginny accepts his relationship with Harry because she really liked some of the gifts in the basket.

10.8 Draco is trying to build up a career post war and Harry and he become some sort of reluctant acquaintances. I don’t remember much but there might be some lines which go somewhat like this - “he is my house. I will have to burn everything he touches”. The story is from Draco’s POV

10.9 one of them or both are Aurors and Draco is pretty posh and rich. Somehow Harry has to go after him to Italy or some other beautiful country and he tries to court Draco. I don’t remember if a Auror case is a major point or not.

10.10 looking for a fic that was young Harry and he ran away from the Dursleys early. He does go to Hogwarts but after forwarding his letters to other people like the royal family and hiding from Snape. Gets sorted into Slytherin, good at stealing, even stole McGonagall when she was a cat before she could change back.

10.11 Fred and George send Harry an early birthday present, which is a truth or dare game, which is still in beta testing. The Gryffindors decide to play it. People are in the common room, and slowly they start joining the game. Dean teases Harry that his “type” is tall, blonde, and sarcastic. This happens before Draco joins the game. Eventually the Slytherins also join (they’re the last to join lol) and in this, I guess the game decides to give truth or dare based on your magic or sth, and if you don’t do it, you’re eliminated or sth. And Harry gets some dare to do with Draco obviously ( I think he has to kiss him?) and he does, and the end. Eighth year, hogwarts common room, one shot. Not more than 10k words.

10.12 draco is sentenced as probation to muggle world and works in a bakery then turned into deterioration. Bill helps him and then he returns to hogwarts as professor for potions

10.13 i only remember a specific moment. it’s mpreg and narcissa and harry are with draco while hes in labor and draco asks narcissa if he hurt her coming out, and narcissa said yes and he wasn’t helpful like harry was. and narcissa asks to keep the baby placenta

10.14 i cant remember if it was on ao3 or wattpad. it was titled “home” and the first sentence was something like: “the first time the stranger appeared at the top of the street, thunder rolled and lightning crashed.” the plot: harry disappeared after the final battle, and draco finds him in a muggle village. draco updates harry on the magical world, and romione. harry’s been in love with draco so he sends a letter and draco comes and kisses harry.

This month is the annual Battle of the Eagle and Lion! Signups will open on March 8th and close at 11:59PM EST on March 15th. The tournament will begin at noon EST on March 17th. More information will be provided when signups go live.

Our TOA lore encyclopedia is finally underway! Please give a huge thank you to Kusa, Tsu, and Ren for volunteering to help out with this project. We hope to have something to give the community by August of this year.

With the regularity that kiss memes make their rounds in TOA, we'd like to remind you all to make it clear whether or not you treat the responses as canon to TOA or not.

Additionally, we made this general reminder in the server a few weeks ago: please be considerate when making gender identity or sexuality jokes about other muses that are currently being written by someone else, as these categories both fall into the realm of headcanons and thus could be viewed as imposing your headcanons on someone else. In most cases, you can find a character's gender identity and sexuality in information posts on their blog, but if you're still unsure, it's best practice to ask the mun directly if they're okay with such jokes or comments. Communication is key, especially in RP!

Our feedback form for the month of March is available here! We are so grateful to the number of people who left feedback about Epiphany last month. Around half of all event participants let us know how they felt about the event, which will help us continue to improve future events. Leaving feedback also helps the mod team understand what you want out of your experience in TOA. 10th Anniversary

(i just wrote this off the cuff in the official discord so i'm pasting most of it here <3) it's the 10th anniversary of superyogs. started on june 8th 2014 cuz my wife asked me to, otherwise i was probably on the brink of just dropping art altogether. i met some amazing people through the comic and experienced some really special moments too. i thank everyone who helped superyogs grow into what it did, especially anyone who joined the discord, engaged in this little community and contributed to who i am and where my art is today.

and adding this here to the blog, but special thanks to anyone who made fanart or fanfic or was a part of this silly twitter shenanigans that i just couldn't help but join in with Steve?. i cherish these pieces and moments always.

A3! 8th Anniversary Event - Le Cadeau's Blessings: Bless your ending CAST B Translations Masterpost

In-game summary:

After making it through the qualifying round of the Fleur Award, MANKAI Company receives a letter from a certain place… The Veludo Theater Library. The decision to open this theater museum to exhibit scripts and footage was finalized thanks to the buzz surrounding the Awards. When the Director and Tsuzuru attend the museum’s preview, they are asked to donate scripts of both the old and new generations of MANKAI Company and to participate in the opening event, both of which they readily accept. While looking for material at the Veludo Library, Tsuzuru talks with a librarian who helps him find both the inspiration and the hints he needs to write a story. The new double cast challenge, “Le Cadeau’s Blessing” is set in a training school for librarians… and is a story that has two endings; a “Happy Ending” and a “Bad Ending”. With Tsuzuru’s feelings put into their scripts, the two unusually divided teams set out to complete their stories…
