Day 516 - 519 (1 year, 152 - 155 days)

Heya! How are we doing today? Just a quick update since the next quest released today. ^^

So the teens actually gotta clear out trials. They are obviously not prepared and very silly about it, much to the Guide's dismay. X]

Genuinely love the cape the guide has. It looks so fluffy. Makes me wish I had a season pass but oh well.

The next quest actually takes place in the river area inside the forest. One of the spirit masks leads to a small circle to sit in, which will turn it night time. This also leads to a small social gathering area again which only surrounds the mask. The quest is actually a timed event that everyone takes part in at the same time.

Also you get a new outfit and mask for the time being. Looks stylish. ^^

The quest itself plays similar to the AURORA questline. The mask has an area around it which you have to stay in. But additionally you also have the task of picking up junk that lies around, while traversing the river area and trying to stay close to the mask. Cleanup duty for the kids. X]

It does fit the game's environmental message though. Perfect with Days of Nature.

The area does also get a few additional assets to get over the giant gaps, without having to fly. Turns the area a bit into a jump and run section. Hope future quests get something like this. ^^

After the quest is done you return to the guide and add a bit to the memorial. Wonder how it will look at the end. Next quest is in two weeks though.

After that the guide offers you a mask for purchase as well. It's based on this quest's spirit mask. The spirit mask made sheep noises during the quest so I guess this is supossed to be a sheep or goat.

Actually the wiki says it's a Serow. It's an animal similar to a goat. Huh, this game really teaches you about new animals all the time.

Anyway the mask is very stylish! I like the dark and bright blue contrast. I still prefer the more simple masks but these definitely are something I keep in mind. ^^

And that has been it for today. Love the season so far. Hope the future quests are great as well. I will see you then. :D

not to be controversial bc I know this is like…not in line with shifting opinions on fanfic comment culture but if there’s a glaring typo in my work I will NOT be offended by pointing it out. if ao3 fucks up the formatting…I will also not be offended by having this pointed out…

‘looking forward to the next update’ and ‘I hope you update soon!’ are different vibes than a demand, and should be read in good faith because a reader is finding their way to tell you how much they love it. I will not be mad at this.

‘I don’t usually like this ship but this fic made me feel something’ is also incredibly high praise. I’m not going to get mad at this.

even ‘I love this fic but I’m curious about why you made [x] choice’ is just another way a reader is engaging in and putting thought into your work.

I just feel like a lot of authors take any comment that’s not perfectly articulated glowing praise in the exact manner they’re hoping to receive it in bad faith.

fic engagement has been dropping across the board over the last several years, and yes it’s frustrating but it isn’t as though I can’t see how it happens. comment anxiety can be a real thing. the last thing anyone wants to do is offend an author they love, and that means sometimes people default to silence.

idk where I’m going with this I guess aside from saying unless a comment is outright attacking me I’m never going to get mad at it, and I think a lot of authors should feel the same way. ESPECIALLY TYPOS PLZ GOD POINT OUT MY TYPOS.

Day 972 - 978 (2 years, 242 - 248 days)

Heyo! Hope you had a good start into the week! So a bunch of new things to talk about.

First furniture!

A repeat of stuff I already have. At least my wallet is save for once.

Then we got a new event going on! The Tournament of Triumph! Completely new to the game.

Once you enter the coliseum you get assigned a team and are able to participate in friendly competition.

I got the green team. Let's go Team Wasteland! ^^

The games are a lot of fun and I like that we get more minigames in the game.

The tickets look like medals this time. How you gather medals is also special. You can get two tickets near the scoreboard and then every time you participate in a minigame you get one more. Through minigames you can get up to 25 for the next ten days.

After that the counter resets and you can get another 25. Way more flexible in how you can collect them. ^^

The minigames are also a lot of fun! One is a game where you have to collect the most light in the archive area of the vault.

The other one is a race through the river area in the forest.

And then the next season quest.

Finally getting to clean up the place! Burning off the webs off tables and the stage off dark plants.

Also opening the skylight and getting to learn the full song! Makes the area feel a lot more alive...

I would say if not completing the quest causes the area to crash the game. Typical Sky. --

Oh well, still a ton of stuff today! ^^
