Modern Al.Haitham Verse time!
- College student at his last year, enrolled in the linguistic course; has a terrific GPA of 7.0 and is in the top 1-5% student list to be awarded a summa cum laude for his graduation. A young prodigy that never burns out thanks to his endless curiosity, and known to calmly debate with professors and students alike until they’re worn down and re-evaluating their lives.
- He is, essentially, settled for life with the inheritance of both his parents and grandmother. He bought a rather large flat and lives comfortably in the mess of books that he has. He, obviously, shares it with @vohunara :3
- He has a part-time job as a pet groomer. It’s because he doesn’t like people, and he has the front desk assistant take appointments in his name for that reason. He has unwillingly turned famous because his calm vibe also calms whatever animal he comes in contact with as he washes, brushes and grooms their fur and cuts their nails. His stoic demeanor completely relaxes cats and dogs alike, and he speaks to them calmly and gently until the end of their session. There are pics on him on the internet that shows him taking a nap with a gigantic Tibetan Mastiff proudly guarding him as if he was it’s most treasured possession, and he just rolls with it.
- He moves from home to wherever he needs to go with a little beat up Vespa scooter he named yaataayaat (meaning transportation) and shortened to yaat.

How To Convert Percentage To GPA?
Are you pursuing education abroad? The WorldGrad empathises with the daunting task of collecting documents, scrutinising applications, and converting percentage to GPA, which is crucial for international universities. A mistake in this process could adversely affect your chances of admission.
Indian universities grade students using a percentage system, a grading system, or a combination of both. When applying to international universities, GPA conversion is often required. Indian universities use a 10-point GPA scale, while US-based universities use a 4-point scale.
Foreign universities typically accept the 4-point GPA scale. To convert your grades, you must adhere to your university's GPA conversion method, which may require various documents such as explanations of your country's and university's grading systems. Different universities may have different requirements.
Indian Grading System
Indian educational institutions use percentages and grades to evaluate academic performance, with various grading methods like 10-point or 7-point scales and letter grades. Students are ranked based on percentages.
The following is the ranking of the students when it comes to percentage:
60% — 100% / First Division
50% — 59.99% / Second Division
30% — 49.99% / Third Division
0–29.99% / Fail
What is a good GPA?
GPA stands for Grade Point Average, which is calculated by dividing a student's average marks by credit hours. The required GPA can vary based on the university. For top-reputed universities, a GPA of over 3.5 is usually necessary, while second-tier universities may accept a GPA of 3.0-3.5. A GPA above 3.0 is generally acceptable for most universities. Additionally, a high GPA is essential for financial aid, scholarships, and college admissions abroad, along with good IELTS/TOEFL scores, GMAT scores, awards, and certificates.
Percentage to GPA calculator
You can divide your percentage by 100 and multiplying it by 4 will give your GPA scores. For instance, What is a 70% to GPA? If you use the technique of dividing by 100 and multiplying by 4, you will get a GPA of 2.8.
This table will help you calculate your GPA easily:
Percentage to a 10-point GPA
Many countries, like India, adopt a 10-point grading system for assessing their students. The commonly practised approach to convert a percentage into a 10-point grade is by dividing it with 9.5.
Calculate GPA from a percentage?
To calculate your score on a 10-point scale, here is the formula:
GPA= Final percentage/9.5
For example, the GPA on a 10-point scale for 80% will be 80/9.5, that is 8.4.
10- POINT GPA / DETAILS
10 / Outstanding
9.0–9.99 / Excellent
8.0–8.99 / Very good
7.0–7.99 / Good
6.0–6.99 / Above average
5.0–5.99 / Average
4.0–4.99 / Pass
0–3.99 / Fail
Indian students planning to study overseas in countries such as Australia, the US, Canada, Europe, or the UK must deal with GPA conversion. Thankfully, numerous universities and admission committees have a good understanding of the Indian grading system, and students can seek clarification on grade through email. Additionally, various agencies and websites offer accurate grade conversion for a fee.
Don't be afraid about college applications. Plan ahead, select the universities based on your academic profile, and increase your chances of getting into your dream university while saving time and money.

i hate how much attention my mom gives to my brother compared to me :( this sounds so childish but it's always been like this. in general i work pretty hard and try to do well, get good grades etc and it seems like he doesn't even try and he's going nowhere and gets so much attention for it. 'oh he needs help oh he needs the attention' well i would like a little bit of acknowledgement too !! i'll hear my mom on the phone with my brother sounding super animated and interested but then when i wanna talk to her about my recent good grades or my plans for next semester she's like tired and disinterested like she just doesnt care :(
#instead i will tell you guys#honours track for law is a no go!! so now my second choice is governance and global affairs#my gpa needs to be 7.0 (i realize thats prob a weird number for americans and maybe others but here our gpas are on a scale of 1 to 10)#right now my gpa is a 6.8#i'm gonna study hard but not overdo it since i want to be able to do this track slightly naturally iykwim#and not like be working myself to the bone like see if i got my gpa to 7.0 by working way too hard#then the honour's track prob wont be a sustainable option so i wanna try my best but not go crazy#if i don't get accepted then there's still other options too so !! no biggie#in that case i can just do more extracurricular courses but there's other honours options too that aren't a full 3 year programme#those r a little easier to get into so i'll look into that if this doesnt work out#but this track is good for if you want a government job which sounds cool to me !! so i hope i get in !!#rant over

I've been following you for a while, and seeing you do exactly what I dream of doing had been truly inspirational! I'm starting honours in August at UofSyd (mid-semester) (and I'll certainly be doing prep before then) and I wanted to ask, when you applied for Oxford masters do you think your honours grades were more influential than your bachelors? I have a decent BA GPA but I was hoping to make up for it during honours, as the thesis is as big as masters, but I'm not sure if that will work 😅
Hello! 🌹 I’m pleased to say that you’re in the exact same position I was in when applying for masters programs! I had a good GPA from my BA, but when I applied for postgrad it was my honours grades that made me eligible. I managed to swing a 7.0 GPA across my thesis and both semesters of coursework (in the Queensland system that’s the equivalent of high distinctions or above 80%). My undergrad performance wasn't as strong, but when you go into your honours program you're essentially starting with a clean slate and whatever grade you end up with from your coursework and diss will be independent from your undergrad. So if you finish with above 80% in that year you will graduate with a first, even if you averaged lower in your undergrad -- provided NSW grades the same as QLD, which is my impression. Best of luck!! 🌹🌹
