Lightcannon week Day 7: Cooking:
She can do it so controlled, A reaction that you could never make, Too wild and too free, To ever bake,
But her experimental genius, Incorporates your own brand, And in these you can finally, Help her and lend a hand,
Together you make something beautiful, And something you know will be great, Now all you have to do is the hardest, And endure this hours long wait.

Writing advice for new writers
Some things that I wished I had been told when I started writing <3
1. Read, read, read:
Immerse yourself in the works of established authors across various genres. Reading not only exposes you to different writing styles and techniques but also helps you understand the fundamentals of storytelling. It broadens your vocabulary, sparks your imagination, and inspires your own writing.
2. Write regularly:
Make writing a habit. Set aside dedicated time each day or week to write, even if it's just for a short period. Consistency is key to improving your skills and developing your unique voice. Practice, experiment, and don't be afraid to make mistakes ā it's all part of the learning process.
3. Embrace the editing process:
Writing is rewriting. Understand that your first draft is just the beginning. Editing and revising are crucial steps that transform your work into its best version. Be open to constructive feedback, whether from friends, writing groups, or professionals. Embrace the opportunity to refine your ideas, strengthen your prose, and polish your storytelling.
4. Find your writing environment:
Discover the environment in which you feel most comfortable and creative. Experiment with different settings, and create a space that inspires and motivates you to write. Surround yourself with objects, images, or music that enhance your creativity.
5. Explore different genres and styles:
Don't limit yourself to a single genre or writing style. Experiment with different forms of writing ā from short stories to poetry, fiction to non-fiction. Trying new genres and styles challenges you as a writer, expands your skills. I also find this really helpful If I feel stuck in a project. Whenever I feel really stuck, I like to open a new document, or even get a pen and some paper and just write something completely different. It might just be a silly little poem, or maybe Iāll just write down what Iāve been doing that day. Just something to get out of my head, and then I can get back to my project with a clearer mind.
6. Write what you love:
Write about topics that genuinely interest and excite you. When you're passionate about your subject matter, your enthusiasm will shine through in your writing. Whether it's fantasy, romance, history, or science fiction, let your love for the topic fuel your creativity and captivate your readers.
7. Trust your voice:
Each writer has a unique voice, perspective, and story to tell. Embrace your individuality and trust your instincts. Don't compare yourself to others or try to imitate someone else's style. Your voice is what sets you apart and makes your writing authentic.
8. Enjoy the process:
Above all, enjoy the process of writing. Writing is a creative outlet, a form of self-expression, and a journey of self-discovery. Embrace the ups and downs, the challenges and triumphs, and savor the joy of bringing your ideas to life through words.
And most importantly of all: Remember, every writer starts somewhere, and like any other craft, it takes time, practice and dedication. Happy writing yāall! <3

āāāā STURNIOLO ROMANCE TROPE DUMP PT. 1 ĖĖĖ
synopsis this is honestly just a few cute romance ideas that i've thought of and would love to see implemented into some sturniolo fics :> these are completely free for taking just provide credit if you happen to get inspired! <3
001. 7 days | pathetic!chris sturniolo x brat!reader | the pursuit trope |
all chris wants is 7 days to prove to you that he can be the man for you. and if that means spending all the money on his card or embarrassing himself in the process, he'll gladly do whatever it takes to get you to fall in love with him.
002. unfortunate events | matt sturniolo x reader | soulmate trope |
you and matt can't seem to stay away from each other. always bumping into each other in the most unfortunate ways. accidentally spilling coffee on you before a job interview, him nearly running over you on one of your morning jogs, getting trapped in an elevator together, crashing into each other while riding bikes,, you think this is all just unlucky coincidences but what if he's actually seeking you out with the worst approach?
003. he's all that | outcast!chris sturniolo x popular!reader | makeover magic trope |
your biggest challenge yet relied in the form of chris sturniolo. obnoxious, loud, and a bit gross, he was everything you found icky about boys despite dating the biggest asshole on campus. with prom only being a few weeks away, will you be able to transform him into everyone's dream guy while simultaneously falling in love, or will you fail?
004. kiss me already! | student council!matt sturniolo x cheerleader!reader | grump x sunshine trope |
you, the pretty, popular, cheerleader suddenly interested in himāthe nerdy, uptight, student council president? matt doesn't understand your sudden obsession with him, and frankly isn't very fond of it. yet, his constant disdain for you doesn't stop you from asking him out on dates and flirting with him, will his insecurities stop him from pursuing you, or will he finally fall into your charms?
005. love letter | jock!chris sturniolo x nerd!reader | secret admirer trope |
chris has a hard time expressing his feelings verbally, so he resorts to writing poetry. the depth of his work only increasing when he finds a muse. you're quiet, shy, always having your nose in a book, and completely in tune to your own world. nothing like him, yet he wants you so badly. afraid of his friends making fun of him, he decides to keep his poetry a secret, and his identity hidden from the heartfelt letters he leaves in your locker.
006. glass onion | matt sturniolo x reader | forced proximity trope |
the two of you, complete strangers to each other, decide to bind together after a series of tragic murders occur at the fancy resort you're both staying at. the killer is still at large, and could possibly be the man you're partnering up with...
007. secret potion | gryffindor!chris sturniolo x hufflepuff!reader | hogwarts au |
on the cusp of losing the girl he's hopelessly in love with, chris creates a love potion to lure you back into his arms.
008. somebody else | townie!matt x rich!reader | forbidden love trope |
his parents hate yours, and your parents hate his. growing up with a high profile lifestyle and always being in the public eye for one thing or the other, your parents had laid out very strict ground rules for you to follow. the main one being stay away from the sturniolo's. but you were never one to follow rules.
009. p power | playboy!chris sturniolo x playgirl!reader | enemies to lovers + fake dating trope |
chris has to convince his parents he's officially settled down to avoid being forced into a marriage with a woman he doesn't want. to keep playing the field and get his parents off of his case, he decides to make up a fake girlfriend. and who better to use as a scapegoat than one of his old hookups?
010. mine all mine | nerd!matt sturniolo x nerd!reader | friends to lovers trope |
it's obvious to anyone with two eyes that you and matt have feelings for each other, you're both just too shy to take it a step further. with the help from his friends, will he finally confess his feelings to you before it's too late, or will another guy swoop in and take you?

Welcome to 118 Daily Drabble
118 Prompts; 118 Words; 100 Days
Starting November 27th, around 1:00pm EST, a one word prompt will be posted to this blog for 100 consecutive days ending on March 6th. Anyone who wants to can use the word to write a 9-1-1 drabble that equals exactly 118 words. This is a real drabble challenge.
General Rules:
Drabbles must be 118 words exactly. (Since different word counters sometimes give different results, we are using AO3 as a standard.)
The word of the day must be included in your drabble. However, the words themselves do not need to be exact. For example, if the word is zip, it could be used as zip, zipping, zipper, zipped, and unzip.Ā The words may also have double meanings and can be used either way. For example, complex can mean both difficult or can mean a group of similar buildings. Both would be accepted.
There are 18 words that can be used as replacement words throughout. For example, say the word of the day is goal but you canāt think of anything, you can use one of the 18 replacement words instead.
If you arenāt a writer or are inspired to create something for a prompt that isnāt writing, please feel free! As long as the creation incorporates the prompt, it is allowed. (Other creations could be art, poetry, podfic, etc.)Ā
Content Rules:Ā
Drabbles must use characters from 9-1-1 on ABC. (You can write for 911LS if youād like, but only drabbles from 9-1-1 on ABC will be reblogged and/or accepted as part of the collection.)
There are no content restrictions. As long as your fic is tagged appropriately, you can write whatever you want. (This includes ratings, warnings, ships, etc. We are not here to police writing, only to encourage it.)Ā
Crossovers and original characters are accepted as long as the main focus is on 9-1-1 on ABC.
Drabbles can be posted to the 118 Daily Drabble AO3 Collection here or using the tag #118dailydrabble.
FAQ:
Do the drabbles have to be 118 words?Ā
Yes! Thatās the fun and challenge of the event. (To be honest, I will not be checking every single word count for the drabblesā¦ but I trust everyone not to lie to me. Please donāt lie to me, Iām fragile.)Ā
Do I have to write every single day if I choose to participate?
Absolutely not! You can choose to write as little as 1 prompt or all 118, thatās totally up to you!Ā
Do I have to post my drabbles on AO3?Ā
Nope! There will be a collection for them, but you can also just post to Tumblr/X/Bluesky/Internet-Place if you prefer. This event will only have a Tumblr in terms of reblogging content but feel free to use the tag #118dailydrabble on other platforms.
Can I make a chaptered fic on AO3 for this event?
Absolutely. If you choose to do a chaptered fic, each drabble must be its own chapter, though.
What are the extra 18 words?
1. Dosed 2. Broken 3. Rage 4. Malfunction 5. Fallout 6. Fools 7. Powerless 8. Jinx 9. Survivors 10. Panic 11. Cursed 12. Recovery 13. Capsized 14. Buzzkill 15. Masks 16. Confessions 17. Hotshots 18. Wannabes
Have more questions? Feel free to send an ask here!

10 underrated tips to become a better writer
hello hello, it's me again!
today i want to share some tips to improve your writing!
1. write in a different style
sometimes it's important to step out of our comfort zone, especially when it comes to writing. the next time you sit down to write for a bit, try to do something different from usual... try poetry if you always write prose; try fantasy if your thing is mystery; try adventure if you only write romance. it's up to you, just do it! who knows if you discover a new passion while trying this exercise...
2. write from a different point of view
i know it can be tempting to always write from a certain point of view, or to always use the same narrator voice, but (like on the first topic) sometimes change is needed to improve. you'll see things from another perspective, and maybe you can have a brilliant idea!
3. write with music
this one is one of my favorites! i love music, my spotify is full of playlists, one for each mood. try to create different playlists for your stories, and pick songs that motivate you, or that make you feel like you're one of the characters of your novel. this will not only give you a boost to write but also make you feel inspired.
4. set a timer
i always do this! it's a life changer. i started doing the pomodoro method to study and realized how effective it is. it's the same when it comes to writing: set about thirty minutes to write (it's up to you, depending on for how long you can be productive) and ten to fifteen minutes to relax. you'll see how much more work you can do with this method!
5. use prompts
you know how much i love prompts! i think they're so useful and help us so much to become more creative. they are a great way to step out of our comfort zone and develop someone else's idea in a span of a few minutes or hours.
oh, and if you're feeling adventurous, try this month's writing challenge!
6. write in a different place
guys! change your writing environment sometimes, especially when you're feeling overwhelmed or drained. i know it can be tempting to always sit on your sofa / bed / favorite chair, but sometimes we get so accustomed to the same place, that our creativity slows down, as well as our motivation. try to go outside to a park or a cafƩ, it can be so fun and you'll feel like the main character. or maybe, if you don't want to be in public, try another room in your house! just make sure you feel comfortable and don't have distractions around you.
7. change your writing support
do you always write on your computer? try to disconnect for a while, grab a pen and a paper, and let your imagination flow. it can be so freeing to write by hand sometimes, especially when you're plotting a novel! how cool it is to draw a scheme to connect all the characters and locations, and to doodle...!
8. find a writing buddy
personally, i don't have one, but i know it can be such a fun way to keep you motivated and to keep yourself (and the other person) accountable. it's great to have someone to share your ideas with, to give and receive feedback, and to lift you up to write when you don't like doing so.
9. write yourself a letter
trust me, it's amazing. it can be to your present self, past, or future, it's up to you. tell yourself what your writing goals are, what you are writing, how you see yourself in the future, what you're satisfied with your writing style, etc. just let it flow and re-read it whenever you feel unmotivated.
10. write with a sense of humor
i know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it can be so fun sometimes. try something less serious when you don't feel like writing. try to come up with a joke mid-dialogue, write a fun scene or re-write a serious scene in a less serious way. this exercise can be great to see things from another perspective, to try a different style, or to lift up your mood.
i hope this was useful! have a nice day!

7. Rain
He loved the witch once
But she left him in the rain.
Dreams are not enough.
I decided to take part in the Sandman Inktober event, but I will use the prompts to write a Haiku (mostly in terms of meter) every day. The idea is to add daily so I end up with a 31 (self-)reblog chain for the whole month.
I would love to draw, but I feel I would put too much pressure on myself because it takes me a lot longer than writing (and I have hang-ups). But I will give you some older art with my first Haiku (two versions existed of this one, but the other was a bit gory/potentially triggering in more than one way, and I mostly painted over it)ā¦
1. Dream
Dream weaves silent tales,
Endless stories, worlds untold,
But at night they speak.

āFandom is a Potluck Dinnerā¦ youāre invited!ā
Hello friends, itās that time of year again!
Grab a plate, pull up a chair, and consider yourself enthusiastically invited toĀ StarTrekPotluck2024!
The challenge is to create a piece of fanwork that is food or drink themed, and based within the realms of the Star Trek universe.
If youāre interested in joining in, hereās what you need to know:
What do I do?
Pick a type of food or drink,Ā a meal time or a place where nourishment is served/prepared,Ā then create a fanwork around that place/event/object.
It can be any type of fanwork, for example: fanfic, gifs, fanvid, fanart, poetry, podfic... The only constraints are that it needs to be set within Star Trek universe (any series), and it must include the theme of food/drink.
When do I do it?
Choose a publishing date between 1st August and 14th August. We will fill up each slot, and if more people want to join in the fun, we will open double bookings. That way, we can enjoy some delicious fanworks every day!
(If you want to know which dates are still open, you can check the calendar in the blog header, or you can refer to our most recent sign-up round up.)
How do I do it?
1. Pick a Star Trek fandom, or a mash-up of Trek fandoms. (Please do not submit crossovers with non-Star-Trek fandoms.)
2. Send an Ask to this blog with your chosen date, the Star Trek fandom(s) youāve picked, and the type of fanwork youāll be creating.
3. Message this blog for any questions / changes etc, your hostsĀ @regionalpancakeĀ andĀ @procrastinatorprojectĀ will be happy to help :)
4. Post your delicious fanwork on your chosen date.
5. Message this blog with the details of where your fanwork is posted, and tag your post with #startrekpotluck2024
6. If posting on AO3, add your fanwork to theĀ StarTrekPotluck2024 Collection.
7. Follow this blog for updates!

Tips for creative writers:
1. Read widely: Read books, articles, and poetry across different genres and styles. This exposure to diverse writing will expand your vocabulary, inspire new ideas, and help you develop your own unique voice.
2. Write regularly: Establish a writing routine and stick to it. Set aside dedicated time each day or week to write, even if it's just for a short period. Regular practice is key to honing your skills and maintaining creative momentum.
3. Embrace creativity exercises: Engage in writing exercises or prompts to stimulate your imagination. Explore free writing, brainstorming, or visual prompts to spark new ideas and challenge your creative boundaries.
4. Edit and revise: Don't be afraid to revise your work. Editing is a crucial part of the writing process, allowing you to refine your ideas, improve clarity, and enhance the overall quality of your writing. Embrace feedback and be open to making changes.
5. Develop unique characters: Create well-rounded and believable characters by giving them depth, flaws, and distinctive voices. Explore their motivations, desires, and conflicts to make them relatable and engaging for readers.
6. Show, don't tell: Instead of telling readers what is happening or how characters feel, strive to show it through vivid descriptions, sensory details, and compelling dialogue. Engage the readers' senses and immerse them in your storytelling.
7. Pay attention to pacing: Balance the pace of your writing to maintain reader engagement. Mix moments of tension and action with quieter, reflective scenes. Vary sentence length and structure to create rhythm and keep the narrative flowing.
8. Create compelling dialogue: Craft dialogue that is realistic, purposeful, and reveals character traits. Use dialogue to advance the plot, reveal conflicts, and deepen relationships between characters.
9. Embrace constructive feedback: Seek feedback from trusted peers, writing groups, or mentors. Constructive criticism can help you identify blind spots, refine your writing, and grow as a writer.
10. Stay inspired and curious: Maintain a sense of curiosity about the world around you. Seek inspiration from art, music, nature, and everyday experiences. Keep a journal to capture ideas, observations, and inspiration that may fuel your writing.
Happy writing!

Welcome to 118 Daily Drabble
118 Prompts; 118 Words; 100 Days
Starting TOMORROW, November 27th, around 1:00pm EST, a one word prompt will be posted to this blog for 100 consecutive days with the final prompt posting on March 6th, 2025 (8B premiere day.)
If the word of the day isn't inspiring you, you can use one of the 18 replacement words instead.
Are you going to post the words at the same time everyday?
Yes! Barring any Tumblr errors, the word will be posted to this blog everyday at 1:00pm.
Where can I find past words?
You can find them here!
What are the extra 18 words?
1. Dosed 2. Broken 3. Rage 4. Malfunction 5. Fallout 6. Fools 7. Powerless 8. Jinx 9. Survivors 10. Panic 11. Cursed 12. Recovery 13. Capsized 14. Buzzkill 15. Masks 16. Confessions 17. Hotshots 18. Wannabes
Have more questions? Feel free to send an ask here!

Made a tier list about cat!chief in your fic
Been playing ptn for a while and I don't know much of these characters so I based them on vibes and appearance feel free to change it
If your wondering why wolverine is on top its because I hc during the incident cat!chief has some beef with Pippy as for tetra and princilla probably because they are the Fox and Rabbit idk just te vibes
Anyway have a Good day :DD
Ooh, this is good! I imagine this is how cat!Chief will separate Sinners by their likeability after Nightingale calms her down and can't return to human because the neutralizer is unavailable. Bet the Sinners will try to get cat!Chief to like them, but she's just too fickle and unpredictable to figure out and please.
I made an extensive tier list based on yours and explained why I categorize a specific Sinner in a tier. This only covers globally released Sinners up to Bianca. You can see it below.
Will straight out murder you in your sleep / Will sacrifice you to the gods
Peggy - noisy as fuck #1
Joan - noisy as fuck #2
Dr. Iron - smells like a hospital; doctors/veterinarians and cats often don't mix well.
Chameleon - tried to hypnotize cat!Chief once and ended immediately on the hit list.
Dudu - noisy as fuck #3
Echo - noisy as fuck #4
Shawn - I don't think any explanation is needed on this one.
Raven - terrible poetry and can be classified as 'Wants you out of her territory' because of her ink ravens.
Wants you out of her territory
Wolverine - Pippy
Chelsea - Sitri is seen as an intruder, and gemstones don't make good cat toys. Boxes make better beds than expensive plush ones, sorry.
Serpent - snakes
Doesn't want you near 24/7
Lisa - it's actually the other way around; Lisa doesn't want to be involved.
Kelvin - I'm sorry, Kelvin, but your powers do not agree with cat!Chief.
Gekkabijin
Demolia - the smell from scavenging does not sit well with cat!Chief's sensitive nose, is only tolerable if she approaches after a bath.
Flora - smells like smoke.
Victoria
Cassia - cat!Chief isn't a fan of her perfumes
Stargazer
Enfer
Oak Casket
Cabernet - close to joining the 'Will straight out murder you in your sleep / Will sacrifice you to the gods' squad.
Etti - her idea of 'playtime' isn't feline-friendly
Shalom - poor Shalom, even Rahu is more liked than you; does not stop her from trying and taking pictures of cat!Chief
Lady Pearl
Bianca - considered a nuisance by cat!Chief, she's this close to joining the 'Will straight out murder you in your sleep / Will sacrifice you to the gods'.
Aggressively bites
Tetra
Pricilla
Mess - only if she annoys cat!Chief, which is often.
McQueen - gets chomped on the moment cat!Chief hears her voice
Corso - For the last time, Corso, you don't challenge a cat to a fight!
Uni
Zoya - thinks it's amusing; gets climbed on a lot because of her height; her head scratches are giving her way to 'Will tolerate you (within limits)'.
Langley - no one bosses a cat; they make the not-so-evil boss and her cat duo work, close to joining 'Will tolerate you (within limits)'.
Bullies you for fun / Messes with your stuff
EMP
Levy - needs to rethink bringing in expensive stuff inside the bureau; cat claws are pretty sharp
Nino - her streams always get interrupted by cat!Chief taking over her keyboard or chewing on the computer cables
Eureka - cats and potentially dangerous inventions don't mix well
Summer - the frustrating combination of Nino and Eureka
Bai Yi
Coquelic - her flower beds were ruined, her clothes shredded to pieces, etc.; might as well be allergic to cats at this point
Donald - see that luscious blond hair, now it's a mess; surprisingly good with cats, close to earning his way to 'Likes you'.
Vanilla - same as Eureka
Eugene - gets bullied on day one, and continues to get bullied afterward
Will tolerate you (within limits)
Pepper
Macchiato - good with cats, might join the 'Likes you' squad soon.
Wendy - murder buddy #1, they surprisingly vibe together
Roulecca - don't let them team up during a gamble/bet
Mr. Fox
Luvia Ray
Ariel - would have joined the 'Likes you' team if she hadn't accidentally stepped on cat!Chief's tail many times.
Anne - only if she's not in the medical ward with cat!Chief
Kawa-Kawa
Letta - nap buddy #1
Christina - if she's not investigating who stole someone's food (cat!Chief is the culprit, btw)
Golan
Eirene - chess games go wrong
Demon
Deren
Du Ruo - only if the incense doesn't smell strong
Likes you
K.K. - cat butler #1
Che - nap buddy #2
Sumire - gives excellent head scratches #1
Cinnabar - cat butler #2
Lynn - the only one who cat!Chief approached first
Garofano
Matilda - one of the few that do not bother cat!Chief, gives excellent head scratches #2
NOX - cat butler #3
Hamel
Dreya - they vibe together when stargazing
Rahu - surprisingly more liked than Shalom
Eleven - nap buddy #3, her voice is soothing for cat!Chief
Angell
Wynn
Likes you because you're a heater / you always have food
Labyrinth - cat butler #4, heater #1
Pacassi - heater #2
Ninety-Nine - heater #3, food buddy #1
Ignis - heater #4, food buddy #2
Thistle - tries to be subtle when giving food
Adela
Yao - first falls under the 'Food' tier and later becomes heater #5
Faye - bribes with food, gets an increase of visitors in the Supply Office and revenues in exchange; catnip dealer
Sees you as one of her kittens / kids
Hella - gets scolded often #1
Oliver
Horo - gets scolded often #2, play buddy #1
Hecate
Dolly - play buddy #2
Crache - murder buddy #2
OwO - gets scolded often #3, play buddy #3
Eve - best lap pillow
Yanyan - play buddy #4
Bites, scratches, and cuddles affectionately / Loves you / Will listen to you
Nightingale - the only person who can make cat!Chief listen...but that does not mean she will obey
Food
Lamia
Mantis
Ducks - nearly got eaten on day one, now terrified of cat!Chief
Scared shitless of you
No fear. Cat!Chief's a hellspawn.
