While gathering ideas for an AU where Renji became Aizens lieutenant instead of Momo, I was more taken with the idea of Byakuya and Momo as a duo than anything else lol

Kenpachi's Place

On the subject of "what people call each other" more generally, my favorite Bleach topic, Aizen is also kind of weird about Zaraki. He refers to Renji leaving the 5th for the 11th as Renji being "taken away to Kenpachi's place." Was he. Was he kidnapped. Is Kenpachi's Place a trafficking front.

Referring to Zaraki by title is a Choice, for sure. I don't know if anyone else does that (besides Ichigo), but I can think of many who do not, would never.

Referring to the 11th as "Kenpachi's Place" also feels like a Choice. It makes me think about Renji's question to Ichigo when they first meet:

His meaning of is speech bubble is, "Which [number] Division are you affiliated with?" but the pronunciation is just "Where are you affiliated?" So there's already a sense, I guess, that the geographic question of "where" implies your divisional affiliation, and that divisions are thought of as places. Makes sense, given that all the divisions are meaningful geographic spreads in the Seireitei.

Is it still weird that it's "Kenpachi's Place" and not just idk, "the 11th Division"? I mean, I think it is, but it does speak to the unique tradition of leadership succession the 11th's got going on, and how intense the cult of personality is in the 11th, as a division whose nature is extremely tied to the nature of whoever its leader happens to be.

Aizen also never actually refers to the 11th as the 11th, so in order to make that connection we'd have to remember Zaraki's name and number from when he showed up at Byakuya's Place. Why wouldn’t he? Idk but I enjoy it as character info. (NB: Byakuya is perfectly happy to refer to Tousen purely by number, as "9th Captain" and not by any name at all, so there's a lot of different conventions out and about across the various captains.)

Self-care for the Soul: Hinamori's Edition

(Or, my 2am rambles on Hinamori that briefly touch on nonviolence while I lightly express some fandom guilt ft. one mention of Frankenstein and some Tobiume hc 🫠 Thank you @bleachbleachbleach for your encouraging words on this post! <33)

TL;DR: Much of Hinamori’s external life has been chosen for her. She thrives at exercising a form of internal non-violence of the spirit, where despite the lack of tools (as a Rukongai ghost) and later in spite of the master’s tools (the Seireitei), she asserts her power through choice - choosing to love, defend, create - through which she fights back against the institution that created and enabled the violence inflicted upon her. This is in her nature, always has been since she befriended Hitsugaya to rescuing Hisagi.

Sometimes I feel like such a fake Hinamori fan because I worry that my interpretations discredit her character, which isn't what I want at all! With regards to Aizen and forgiveness, I get a sense that the popular belief is that it is in Hinamori's nature or best interest to come to reject everything about their relationship, that she would even hate him, want to enact some form of violence on him. And that's all fine! I mean, anything is believable if you come at characterization from the lens of “what would make a character do XYZ?"….but I just can't help but feel like this is us (or at least me) moving on without her - which is how Hinamori canonically felt post-Winter War (and I would go so far as to say she's been feeling like this for a long time, since before leaving for the academy).

Like, would it help Hinamori to hate everything about him? To reject all of him? What is she, someone who deeply values her relationships and what she gets from them as much as she gives, choosing to leave behind by doing so? So much of her (external) life happens to her: she has to enter the academy because her powers awakened, she was pre-selected to join the 5th division for a plan that started decades before her and would be put into motion a few decades later, and of course both stabbings.

Given this, I think Hinamori is someone who appreciates making a choice of what she's given, often internal, often against the status quo, and gains exactly what she needs. She chooses to befriend Hitsugaya despite the village's rejection of him (and finds herself a lifetime partner); she stays behind to give Hitsugaya a proper goodbye even though it'll make her late to the academy on her first day (to keep Rukongai close which feels especially important given Seireitei wants to neglect, forget what's outside their walls); she chooses to save Hisagi against his orders (and years later she can look back and know she's brave); she chooses to defend Renji despite Byakuya's authority and Kira's acquiescence (and realizes that to stand up for what she believes in she may be the only one in the room left). And if she chooses to hold close the fond memories she created with Aizen and the lessons she learned from him, she'll know that under all his power laid her power too.

These choices she made are all born from her internal character and I think that's something she tries to hold onto (even when it feels like everyone is moving on without her, that the narrative is moving on without her, that fandom sometimes moves on without her).

And it's not because of the naivety or delusion that's so often attributed to her. It's this instinct to create, to save, to love, despite the lack of tools (and then in spite of the tools). I don't think it's far-fetched to believe that she, an artist who spends her free time reading (about history and fantasy, about the past and the future) would try to create what she needs, imperfect as it is. Hinamori has always been a "be the change you want to see" type of person.

Unlike Hisagi who fears his power in his own hands, Hinamori fears her power in the hands of others. In a way, it's a rejection of the Seireitei. In a way, it's a rejection of the institution that created and enabled the violence inflicted upon her.

(Another reason why I feel like a fake Hinamori fan is because I don't think she needs bankai to tie up her arc or to prove/reclaim her power. Like I mentioned above, I think Hinamori does a pretty solid job of reclaiming her power outside of Seireitei's tools. Bankai feels almost like a resignation to me. It's hard to explain without needing 2000+ words and referencing Frankenstein, the internal/spiritual nature of nonviolence of a solider, and elaborating on Hisagi and Kaname because these two are very much part of the same conversation.

But anyways! My Tobiume hc plays into all of this. It's pretty much the same as the rest of the fandom's - some iteration of a phoenix + forest (I love the seagull cry when Tobiume releases and this imagery of being rooted deep in the earth with an expansive sky to soar above this middle space where the man-made sits), but I hc that she's never really been able to see Tobiume. That Tobiume always wants to keep just out of sight, perched high in the trees or a shadow over the sun to keep her wondering because Hinamori is an artist (who once had no brushes), a life-long learner (who once had no books), and I think it’d be neat if her inner world was something she created out of imagination and hunger for somewhere beyond her body and something beyond the constraints of their society. once again piggybacking off this post; it's wild that fter all that shit I had to comb thru, this is basically the full extent of women as background and barely-characters in Bleach. I put all the actual named characters up top, and bundled the ones that actually come back after an extended period of time, and don't just exist exclusively in the confines of a single scene/chapter.

In row 3, 5th-6th from the left, is the girl Orihime mugge for her shihakusho disguise during the original ss infiltration(which we later learn was in 12th division when her and Uryuu's cover is blown), and then a girl who showed up in the TYBW arc operating equipment during the second Quincy invasion

In the last row there, 2nd-3rd from the left, is the woman who served tea to Kaien and Ukitake, and then the girl Rangiku borrowed an identical serving tray from to throw at Isshin; are they the same girl like 100 years apart still stuck serving drinks??? Who can say...

super awkward that the entire 4th row are girls who show up to like, kinda fawn over more central characters?

The two barely visible girls blush and say hi to Renji on his way to visiting' Rukia's jail cell.

The one girl blushes and says hi to lt.Aizen.

The three girls in the helljaws oneshot are giggling about Atau playing with animals.

Funny enough 5th row, 4th from the left, is actually the one person not swooning over Unohana in the scene she's in, while the 3 guys she's with are.

When I was reading Bleach for the second time, I was surprised by how many characters in the Soul Society weren't actually souls from the living world, but were, like, born there and how this has been going on long enough to essentially form an aristocracy.

I had a specifically worded question about it for you, but it's completely gone now.

How's Renji and his snake-baboon? Personally, I think the swords and by extension Bankai should be able to talk smack more often and was disappointed that animal themed ones didn't become more of a thing.

To answer how I'm handling the "who is born in soul society and who just re-incarnates there?"

If you're a soul that died in particularly charged circumstances, Died particularly young, needed to be escorted by a Shinigami, had to be de-hollowfied or otherwise have wildly unfinished business from your previous life, you're more likely to be reincarnated with at least some of your previous identity. 50/50 chance you'll remember ANYTHING about your previous life though.

If you're a soul that lived a long or particularly fulfilling life, managed to get to the afterlife yourself, were a baby that dies before you were a year old and didn't have a fully developed memory, or are generally chill about the whole "being dead" thing, you're more likely to be reincarnated as a baby birthed in the afterlife, with no recollection of your previous life.

WHO is reborn, who is reincarnated, who goes to soul society and who goes to Hell is not actually Known by Soul Society- the sorting of the Dead is actually the provenance of the Demons of Hell, who have a running metric on every soul in the living and spirit worlds so the second you're dead they've got you sorted.

The Shinigami HAVE been able to make educated guesses about at least some of the metric by keeping extensive notes on the souls they help move on- Who linger and why, who turns into a hollow and why, who goes to Hell and Why etc. but the exact metrics and mechanisms used to assign people's place in the afterlife is a mystery- which is why Soul Society doesn't runite people in the afterlife and has such trouble keeping track of people in the Rukongai- they literally have no input or knowledge of who goes where, when or why.

As for Zabimaru: They (plural- the monkey and the snake) are doing well, though they were more than a little alarmed when Renji was suddenly transferred to the 11th division* after his time in the 5th and found out that, unlike literally every other person** they've met, Zaraki can just passively see and interact with Zanpaktou Spirits***.

*There is extensive chicanery afoot regarding Renji's career in the Gotei-13 **Note: a broader category than just "Human" ***He can't really harm them in spirit form, but he can talk with and generally annoy the shit out of them. This is Extremely Weird, but he's an Extremly Weird case.

Hilariously, Zabimaru gets along GREAT with Senbonsakura, it's just kind of a shame their humans are so bad at playing together.

Yeah, you had a crush on him the moment you saw him. But when he opened his mouth it was a different story. He was always so stern and mean, particularly with you. And you had no idea why.

That was the only reason Renji got promoted to lieutenant instead of you. Because you and your captain didn't see eye to eye. You know he values you as a squad member, but his passive aggressive behaviours have been getting the best of you. You were perfectly capable and even mastered bankai before your red haired superior.

But your overconfident demeanor left you in second place.

"You're too cocky. And loud."

He added, dismissing you without a second chance.

And since then you have been training with something to prove. It's not as if you're desperate. Just determined.

The opportunity to become lieutenant meant a lot to you, and if that black haired noble pain in the ass was going to deny you so easily, you were going to put up a fight.

Until he requested for your transfer.

"Squad eleven will suit you fine."

Your jaw hit the floor. You know what he's trying to do instantly. With Yachiru already holding the lieutenant's position, and the 3rd and 5th seats already filled by Ikkaku and Yumichika... Ugh! You would be left low in the division and all of your work would've been for nothing.

So, one evening, after working up a little liquid courage in your squad barracks with Renji spurring you on (because he was also wasted) you headed to Byakuya's office.

You tapped at the shoji doors and slid them open, finding him surprisingly, in a similar state to you.

What the fuck. Was all that could really pass your mind as you stepped into his private office where he slumped over his desk. A large bottle of sake was open and when you picked it up you found it was completely drained. The small cup by his hand still had a few drops left so you picked it up and sipped the rest, savouring the exquisite taste. You could never get your hands on sake like this. You placed the cup back down and noticed the pinkish hue in his cheeks, and the way his eyes rested closed.

He was completely passed out.

So you took this opportunity to use his bottle of ink and the calligraphy brush resting in his fingers to forge your way out of your transfer. You took a fresh piece of parchment and studied his writing carefully, emulating his formal tone;

"Upon further consideration,

[name] shall remain in the sixth division."

You were about to seal the letter with his stamp, but when you were rummaging through his drawer you suddenly felt a cool grip on your wrist.

"What are you doing."

It was barely slurred, his voice deep with sleep as he regained consciousness. You had caught your captain at a bad time and he wasn't afraid to show you, pinning your wrist to the desk and ripping the paper from you.

It's only now that you realise what a mistake you have made.

Your hand reaches for your Zanpakutō on instinct but he disarms you...

With a smile.

He lets go of your wrist and sinks back on his chair, the hostile air clearing as quickly as it arrived.

You butt heads a lot, sure. But now, you admit, seeing him like this... is making you soft.

"I couldn't have you in my division any longer."

When you question him, in his drunken state, he starts to explain himself.

"With you and Renji..." he turns his head away, almost hiding his face in his palm, "I couldn't watch anymore."

What.

You can't speak.

What is he saying.

"I couldn't watch because... I'm jealous."

"U-uh- Captain- Renji and I- we're..."

"I know you're fucking."

The word sounds so crass, coming from his thin lips that utter only the most elegant language.

"Christ! Captain... We're friends!" You yell with a tone so shrill you're bound to wake the whole seireitei.

You backtrack and realise what he said.

Your brain catches up and it dawns on you that the high and mighty Captain Kuchiki of the sixth division is jealous. Of his subordinate, no less. And his relationship with... you.

"Friends? Oh."

He finally shuts up and you place a kiss to his cheek, fully understanding what's going on here. He was too arrogant just to ask, so he had to take things too far and send you away, before he even understood the situation.

His cheeks light up with a deeper blush and he rubs his temples slowly.

"Get out of my office."

"Yes captain."

A few days later you discover that your transfer was cancelled.

Reasons

Momo and Rukia enrolled at the same time. Momo got into advanced and Rukia into normal classes.(Rukia and Renji enrolled together but Renji and Momo were in the same class.

In chapter -16(bonus Toshiro backstory chapter) we find out Rangiku found Toshiro when Momo started or was about to start her 5th year.

Supposedly Toshiro managed to get into school that year. He would start his first, while Momo, Renji, Rukia and Kira start their 5th.(the Academy usually takes 6 years to finish). Toshiro graduated after 1, year, so he became a Shinigami 1 year earlier than the rest. Well almost.

After Rukia's adoption she was immediately taken out of school and put in 13th Division. We don't know when that happened, so this is the first variable.

Let's say it was in her 6th year, a few months after Toshiro's graduation.

In SS Arc we found out that it has been 40 years since her adoption. Ergo, it would be 40 years since Toshiro became a Shinigami. Ichigo was 15 in the arc add 3 or 4 years for his conception, this is the second variable. So 19. And 40-19= 21.

If Rukia got adopted in her first year and Toshiro only enrolled in Momo's 6th year. That would mean that by SS, Toshiro would have been a Shinigami for 35 years. Ichigo is 15 add 6 years for conception 21. And 35 - 21=14

Have no clue if this is correct or if the math checks out. So help.

It's been so long since you have been in Seireitei. So long you forgot how the houses were, the people's faces, names, but one thing you never really forgot - your captain Byakuya.

He came out as a cold person, he was caring in his own weird way. That is the reason why whenever someone made a specific type of tea, you felt yourself being pulled back again to the 6th division.

You disliked remembering something so bitter sweet. A person you loved dearly but not was nothing but a memory.

Today, of all days you saw him again, while fighting the Espadas. But there was no time to relive the old days, you both had a lot of rough fights ahead and tried to stay alive while Aizen obliterated everything.

During the battle you could feel his gaze on you back from time to time. You too, stared at his back.

You both were badly hurt, on different sides of the battlefield. You smiled to yourself:

Y/N: So… when I see you must be like this hm?

No one could hear you. Your consciousness slowly faded away. When you woke up again your injures were healed and you were back to Urahara's shop. You knew all of you had no choice but go to Seireitei and see the head captain.

For some reason you felt at peace with whatever decision he took - to kill you or not.

But not everyone had such peace. Some of the Ryoka were pacing, seeing impending doom. Shinji was ridiculously calm despite the sadness written on his face.

You guys discussed it over and over again the past years about it, about the day to face the head captain and here it was, just a few hours away.

Finally the summon came, you all headed to Seireitei. As soon as you arrived there a painful nostalgic feeling came to you, of days you could sleep under a tree, you could walk around proudly, days when you had a squad, a captain.

During your walk to the meeting room, you could see some squad members around and no familiar faces around. That was upsetting. The murmurs and whispers were getting slowly louder, you hear faintly in the distance someone calling after a captain.

You couldn't tell who the voice belonged to, you sighed and turned the way you heard it. It was a man's voice. When your eyes scanned through the few shinigamis standing, you saw Byakuya. Huffing a bit, his eyes were dead set on you and you were sure he wasn't very happy to see you again.

The voice kept ringing from behind him and you saw a red head man, you recalled he was called Renji. His voice quieted down when he followed Byakuya's gaze. He asked something and Byakuya gave a dry short answer.

You didn't have time to linger there, you had to walk to where you were being summoned.

You were standing before the head captain with a mix of serious and anxious expressions. When he declared his decision to bring you all back to be Shinigamis again you felt the floor melt away.

The head captain had a place for all of you and for now, you would be in the 5th squad along with Shinji.

Happy? Excited? Surprised? You didn't know. You never thought you would be back.

In a couple of hours the official announcement was made, with everyone present. There was so much to do, to review, to take care of and yet it all felt so… usual. You remembered your duties as a vice captain.

As you all started to go to your respective squads you heard your name being called by a familiar voice:

Byakuya: Y/N?

You stopped on your tracks, a small smile appeared on your face, not a happy one, no, it was a sad smile. Your name being called caused Shinji to stop as well a bit more ahead of you.

He saw your expression and motioned to you to go ahead and talk to Byakuya. You felt your ears burn a bit. You spun on your heels:

Y/N: Hi

Despite his silence you could see his expression change slightly, he went from his usual poker face to a surprised face to a soft one.

You smiled at him. Byakuya finally broke the silence after a shaky sigh:

Byakuya: I see… I see you are back and alive.

Y/N: Yeah… just on a neighboring squad though.

You giggled. His eyes were dead set on yours, he gave a few steps closer to you:

Byakuya: It's good to have you back.

Y/N: Good to be back, captain.

He flinched at your words:

Byakuya:... I am not your captain anymore.

Y/N: Ah… yeah, but -

He came slightly closer again. He was an arm reach from you. You t-shirt your gaze to your feet:

Y/N: I am sorry. I… I have so much to explain I guess…

Byakuya: That, you do.

You sighed and closed your eyes. Suddenly you heard a voice, the same voice from before calling a captain. Oh Renji was looking for Byakuya. You opened your eyes to see his hand close to your face, but he never reached.

Upon hearing Renji he dropped his hand again and turned around. You fixed your posture just in time to see the man huffing and puffing, trying to catch his breath.

Byakuya glanced at you again:

Byakuya: Y/N, I will be waiting for… you.

You didn't have the chance to say anything. He was gone before you knew it, so you, as well, turned on your heel again and headed back to the 5th squad.

Did you go to see Byakuya right away? No. You knew it would be awkward. So you were procrastinating, you were both busy so it's ok right? Well, Shinji kept nagging you to just go.

Take off the band aid, explain to the man what he wants and deserves to know. After much insistence, you walked to the 6th squad.

The pathway was so familiar to you, it felt like you never left. As you walked by you heard some whispers here and there: " it's them! It's them!" .

Soon enough you reached Byakuya's favourite room for tea. Same decoration as always, same place, same colors, same everything.

He was sitting on the same side he always did. He didn't even look away from his tea to talk to you:

Byakuya: Y/N…. Take a seat.

You took a deep breath and did as you were told. He didn't say anything, he simply heard you talk from beginning to end.

He only made questions at the end. Questions about how you lived after leaving Seireitei, about your powers, about the others and some more.

You answered them as clearly as you could, your gaze was fixed on the cup of tea in front of you. You were pretty sure this chat took more than one hour and you were worried about your duties - you both wasted too much time - but somehow it didn't feel as bad as it should.

Byakuya sighed. It was silent between you two. You risked looking at him, he had closed his eyes and furrowed.

Byakuya: Y/N, why… why didn't you tell me?

Y/N: Well, I- how could I? Who would believe me?

Byakuya: I could have… I would have helped.

Y/N: I… it wasn't that simple, you know?

Byakuya: Do you not trust me?

Those words fell like daggers on you, his eyes were now you again. Sadness and a hint of frustration were reflected on them:

Y/N: No! That's not… I just… I didn't want to cause trouble for you.

Byakuya: … it's my duty as a captain to watch over you.

Y/N: And my duty as a Vice Captain to protect you.

You both fell into silence again. He sighed. Someone was calling for him outside the room, while you were excusing yourself Byakuya said:

Byakuya: Y/N, don't you dare disappear again. Am I clear?

You smiled warmly and replied with a cheerful " OK!" And left. Byakuya also had a little smile on his face. As you walked back you heard the same whispers again, but you guessed that would be your normal now.

The only thing you didn't know was that the rumors were about you being the predecessor of Renji. Somehow they caught wind of it.

From time to time Renji would come to you for advice to deal with Byakuya. Rukia came around often happily calling you by a nickname - like she used to.

Those little things didn't go unnoticed by Byakuya. He smiled to himself softly when he saw getting along with Renji and more importantly Rukia.

Rukia, as well, noticed how her brother seemed a bit more… happy? He didn't frown when you came to visit.

She noticed something more was there, but neither ever said anything. Well, not you or Byakuya, but Shinji was another story. He bugged you non stop to say what was on your head all this time:

Shinji: Y/N, you're finally here. Just go and talk. Did you sigh here and there all the time?

Your ears burned at the mention of your heart break and lovesickness.

But now wasn't a good time. A lot was happening and little did you know, the time to say what you so wanted would come during the Quincy attack.

When you saw Byakuya torn apart, you kneeled near him and said everything you ever wished for. He probably didn't hear you, right?

You promised yourself to be honest with him and you for once. When he woke up again, when he looked at you again.

It didn't go as smoothly as you wanted. As soon as he woke up, you threw yourself at him and words came out only choked tears and sobs. But, hey, what matters is that it got through, right?

You've always been my go-to for all things Bleach lore and world-building! Do you think Shinigami all sleep in futons or beds? Or maybe it varies from character to character? We've seen the 4th division with beds in their wards, but I think every other character has slept in futons.

Haha, thank you! We do love a furniture deep-dive here, and people's headcanon speculations about shinigami life even more.

I started a list of any time we'd ever seen a character in some kind of bed (futon or frame), but it mostly just ended up being a long list of "_______ at the 4th," lol, so we'll see all those aside (almost all those aside). But canonically, there is a mixture! We see:

The incredible, isolating vastness of the room, and the way the shadow cuts across the space. ToT <33333 It also reminds me of a really excellent meta piece done by afinepiece, where she analyzed the panels from Byakuya's story about Hisana and pointed out sections where the panel visuals might suggest Byakuya's memory/headspace more than physical reality. Her journal is deactivated but I know the reblog is on B3 somewhere! I'm inclined to go with that reading here, even though I also feel like the room probably just *looked like this* because every room in Soul Society is like this. (Maybe it's also for airflow, given her illness seemed partially respiratory and possibly contagious? ngl I'm basing this off that one anime elaboration scene and my co-blogger's post about Circus Hisana and Elephant TB).

In my mind Byakuya's convalescent setup was the same as Hisana's (is this the sad Seireitei equivalent of couples' outfits) but I was wrong:

This is probably not the only room in this house and they could put *anything* in those cabinets, but their sheer number and the style of the room suggests that this converts to a futon-filled bedroom, regardless of what might exist in other parts of the house.

Is this at the 6th? Is this at the 4th? I always assumed the 6th, though obviously the 4th was involved. Idk, Byakuya left him on the ground. Maybe if you don't pick up your invalids the 4th just stashes them in their jail.

These examples are pretty skewed in favor of futons, but if we think about this collection of characters, there is an overrepresentation of people who trend more traditional in terms of aesthetic, so they might not meaningfully represent the whole. Also, half the list is the same family.

We've seen a number of different offices and meeting rooms for each division, as well as some private residences, which have been a mix of Western and traditional styles in terms of the building itself and the furniture within it. Most of the offices seem to have Western furniture (or at least, the 10th, 6th, and 3rd), whereas Byakuya and Aizen, at least, seem to prefer the traditional at home.

Though, I don't know what this big-ass room is, but given its size and feeling of formal reception, this may well be the 5th's office?

NB 2: The 2nd also has traditional receiving rooms (used by both Yoruichi and Soi Fon, wherever the division between Shihouin and the 2nd is. But I assume Soi Fon's office is not the Shihouin Family Receiving room).

My feeling is that the differences are more regional/Division-based than personal preference-based, and *when*/by whom this design language was established depends on how much time and money the people in charge want to devote to furniture.

But that doesn't necessarily mean each Division is uniform, since we can see Isane and Hanatarou, both seated officers of the 4th, have different-style rooms! Maybe this is an effect of the 4th being an early bed adopter for their general professional purposes. Unohana is 100% a futon lady. I feel like Isane just accepted whatever was originally in the room, and that if there were no bed at all in the room she would sleep on the floor before asking to remodel. Does that mean a previous 4th VC wanted to modernize the VC quarters?

Was that previous 4th VC the original bedframe proselytizer, and got permission from Unohana to do up their quarters like a model home that gave examples of both types of room? Do Isane and Unohana live in an IKEA showroom?

What are the benefits of futons?

the room can be multi-use, a general common room by day and sleeping dorm by night

don't have to make a bunch of bedframes

Given what a big deal everyone makes out of transporting goods from the Living World, I feel like they probably make all their furniture and don't import particleboard from Nitori, so this would be expensive! Plus, given the amount of building reconstruction that needs to happen, I feel like there's probably a fairly small quota of wood released to civilians and/or divisions for non-essential use.

What are the benefits of bedframes?

Yeah, you'd have to make the bedframes and have a whole separate common room, but having beds implies you've probably done away with the tatami in the room, since you're not really supposed to put heavy furniture on the mats. And I don't think in a barrack with heavy use you'd be able to rely on shinigami simply "being careful." Same logic as college dorms and their "IKEA, but completely indestructible" furniture.

So if you decide in the long-term that you don't want to do tatami maintenance/replacement and want wood furniture on wood floors, maybe the bed route is for you! ("You" here meaning "your division"!) At which point it'd be a matter of:

caring enough to do a cost/benefit analysis about this

whether or not you want to preserve the traditional aesthetic

whether you have the initial capital to invest in making the change

Some additional thoughts:

We know that at least a portion of the 2nd has heated floors, as financed by Oomaeda. I'm not a heated floors aficionado--though I stayed at an AirBnb once with a heated driveway--NUTS) but I feel like that would...not work with tatami? That over time the heat would dry them out too much and make them brittle? So maybe the 2nd has beds.

Despite the fact that the 10th office changes out their couch out a few times during the canon timeline, I feel like there's a 0% chance Hitsugaya has considered a bedding/architecture overhaul during his tenure at the 10th. He's spent the last 15 years developing a real filing system and an actual budget procedure. He didn't come in with extra money to put towards beds and the 46 doesn't generally approve that kind of line item. That's more of a "gift fund" expense.

Shinji is trying to get a Pod Hotel proposal approved, on the grounds that the idea would benefit more than just the 5th. They could implement it in the Tsumesho (Gotei WeWork)! And provide them in strategic outposts across Rukongai!

During what decade was the 11th briefly "HAMMOCK DIVISION" because it seemed like the cheapest, most low-maintenance option?

Another incident regarding Ink's greatsword; Wyvern and his shinegnans. And this time...the Wyvern has a bone to pick with Soul Reapers.

After the mission at the mall, Ink went on another with Taz and Jujutsu High students. Another adventure. However...this time...they ended up in Soul Society. How did this turn out?!

------ Wednesday Morning -----

Gojo recivces a word from an ally in Karakura Town, Tokyo, Japan. His students; Megumi, Yuji, Nobara, Taz, and Kisho went on a mission together with Ink to exorcise a cursed spirit on a farm. Though...Gojo sees her as a potential student.

However, there is no word. What did he receive from Megumi that they encounter a hollow and no word after that. He is worried about his students, yes. But he knows they can take care of themselves. He has faith in them. Then he receives a phone call from Ichigo Kurosaki that his students are in Soul Society of all places!

Gojo had to blow a whistle because that's impressive. No human went to the Soul Society. Jujtusu Sorcerers never went to the Society Soul for 1,000 years.

In a way, he's glad that his students are safe. However..he has no idea how much trouble his students are in when he comes to meet with the Soul Reaper and a man in hats and cogs named Kisuke Urahara who has a connection to the Soul Society.

"Yo! Ichigo! What's up? Sorry I was late."

"Gojo!" Ichigo said. "Thank god you're here."

"And you must be Kisuke Urahara. The one who gave Daichi...or rather Kisho a sword." Gojo smiles.

"The one and only!" Urahara laughs. The men both laughed making Ichigo sweatdropped. "Hey! Focus! We got a bigger problem! Your students are in the Soul Society and the captains are pissed!"

"Captains?" Gojo muses.

"Pissed?" Kisuke Urahara muses.

"What do you mean?" Gojo muses.

"Well........" And thus...Urahara sets up a communication snail. A two-way radio between the world of the living and the Soul Society. Soon, Ichigo got his friends from Soul Society on the line.

------ Minutes later ------

"Ichigo! What's going on? Did something happened?" It's Shinji Hirako, a captain of the 5th Division.

"Their teacher has arrived. Gojo Saturo." Ichigo said.

"Gojo Saturo?" Shinji Hirako; captain of the 5th division and a visored. Oh! I heard of you! Well...the Gojo Clan to be precise. You're pretty famed for the six eyes." Shinji Hirako muses.

"That I am!" Gojo said proudly.

" And you must be the one responsible for these monstrosities, aren't you?" Shinji Hirako asked so nicley, it doesn't sound nice. Ichigo and Urhaara blinked. Monstrotiries?!

"It depends on what monstrosities you talking about". Gojo said.

"YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WE MEAN!" Renji yelled, making Ichigo wince, "The entire Seireitei is in panic mode because of your students!" He yelled, freaking Ichigo out.

"Huh? What do you mean!?" Gojo said as if he is playing dumb, making Renji more upset.

"ALL SIX OF THEM! DO WE HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT?! YOUR STUDENTS!" It's Renji said.

"Easy Abarai...." Shinji said.

"Welll~sure! I can't believe the Soul Reapers will have trouble dealing with my students." Gojo chuckled making Ichigo sweatdropped.

"I almost forgot how insufferable you Gojos are," Shinji sneered.

"Oh! You can't even imagine! I couldn't believe a group of Jujutsu Sorcerers....children no less caused a huge commotion in the Soul Society of! Please do tell!" Gojo said.

"Where do I even begin...." Shinji sighed.

"Captain Shinji! Let me give my account on that matter, please." Said Rukia, "I will tell him about this brown-haired girl carrying a hammer and nails! She hurt most of our friends. She's a witch! She uses a voodoo and she frightens our allies. I was the one to deal with her!" Rukia yelled.

"Ah That must be Nobara Kugisaki." Gojo hums.

"After she defeated a few of them, she took away Shihakushō  from them and left them in the cold!!" Rukia cried.

"Wait...wait...wait...she took their clothes?!" Ichigo said.

"YES! And not because she wants to blend in like Inoue and Uryuu did! No! She wants to see if she can find the right size and add to her wardrobe because she finds it so stylish!!" Rukia yelled as she couldn't believe this.

"Sounds like you really hit it off!" Gojo laughed.

"And there's a kid with some red parrot and made everyone listens to him!" Renji adds, "Like he's telling stories and calling himself Daichi Pheon-X or whatever his name, and they are so distracted they can't get the others because they are running around the place."

"Stories? Wait...they listened?" Gojo said. Kisho Hisimato aka his alter ego; Daichi Pheon-X.

"Well...it's really hard to get someone when they have THEIR OWN THEME SONG PLAYING!" Renji yelled, holding his way.

"Wait what???" Ichigo said. Daichi Pheon-X has a theme song?

"Oh wow. He has a theme song?" Gojo commented, impressed.

"I tried to get some sleep and I tried to confiscate the radio but I can't find it anywhere on this guy!" Renji yelled. "WHAT THE HELL?!"

"Did you try looking at the bird?! Just squeeze the bird a little and he will stop." Gojo advised.

Hearing this fact, Renji stands up and goes over, "Alright, bet!" Renji seems to be moving as if he got off the desk or something, "HEY! YOU FLYING KARAAGE! GET OVER HERE!" Renji yelled, and Daichi was yelling at him. There is a song playing in the background. A theme song indeed.

"Hey, let go of Eito!" Daichi yelled and Eito lets out a noise, "BAWK!"

The music stops. Renji came back as he lets out a sigh of relief.

"Finally... I get some sleep after 2 nights!!" Renji sighed with relief.

"And this other girl! One of our captains found her, and we chased her down. We lost her because he put Sajin Komaura under a spell!" Shinji sighed.

"A spell?!" Ichigo said.

"I can't describe it. His lieutenant said something about the captain feeling weak after his ears were scratched." Like being petted? " Then we found her and she is apparently sleepwalking." Rukia said. "

"Sleepwalking?" Ichigo blinked.

"Yeah! We thought it's going to be easy catch! But no! She walked into a wall and all of a sudden, her personality flipped a complete 180. She summoned these shadows, monsters! Those monsters beat the crap out of other squads! Oh! Did I even mention a rat on top of her head talking to us?!" Shinji said.

"Not a rat. It's a quoll." Gojo said.

"We don't care what it is!" Renji said.

"Okay and what happened!" To Ichigo, Gojo looks so invested in the trouble that his students caused.

"She beat up several of our soul repears and straight up bullying them up. By having them run errands." Renji said. "Soi-Fon had to come in and even she give her trouble. The girl was worn out so she fell asleep."

"Hehehe! That's Kinie Ger." At least Taz is right.

"And.......that kid with the urchin haircut came with the entire zoo of animals! A freaking circus!" Shinji said.

"Megumi Fushigoro." Gojo said.

"And he beat some of the squads and had them piled up to build a body wall! It took some of us to be really careful, taking our guys out of there before we tried catching him. And he messed with the Jigokuchō!" Rukia explained.

"The black butterfly that goes around and sends out orders around Seireitei?!" Ichigo asked.

"YES! AND HE MESSED WITH THEM AND MAKE US RUNNING AROUND STUPID!" Renj yelled. "My captain finally finds him and knocks him out!"

"AND! For some reason...the pink-haired kid is freaking strong. He beat up everyone up and is so freaking hard to catch. None of Soi-Fon's squad can catch up. He broke down walls and Lituentant Hisagi had a hard dealing with him. We had Captain Kensei to subdue him after defeating several seats!!" Shinji stated.

"Guy is freaking strong!" Ikkau Madarame said from the background.

"Not only that...he gives me that feeling of a familiar cursed spirit from the Henian Era. The King of Curses. Is he a descendent?" Shinji scowls. However...Shinji didn't expect the next words coming from Gojo's words.

"Oh no! he ate one of his finger and he got reincarnated," Gojo said it like it's another Tuesday. That didn't bode well for them.

"HUH?!" The Soul Reapers said.

"HE ATE THE WHAT?!" Renji wants to throw a chair.

"YOU JUJUTSU SORCERERS HAVE ONE JOB! ONE JOB!! HOW DID THIS HAPPENED?! YOU SAID YOU CAN HANDLE IT!!" Shinji Hirako yelled angrily.

"Things happen over several centuries!" Gojo cackled.

"You Gojos...." Shinji twitched an eye. "Your clan...always love to annoy Soul Reapers, don't you?"

"What can I tell you?! It's a tradition!" Gojo laughed.

"Wait...Shinji. You said six. You told us five people so far." Ichigo said, trying to get back on track...

"Oh you mean the girl with a demon sword. Yeah... don't get me started on that girl with that demon sword of hers!" Shinji groaned.

"Wait..demon sword?" Ichigo blinked and looked over to Gojo. "Hey! What the heck is he talking about?"

"Oh! I think he's talking about Ink."

"Who?'

"You know the one who beat that corrupt pro-hero!" Gojo smiled.

"Ah! Van Ink The Dragon, right! I followed the news!" Urhaara said as he waved a fan. "A nice girl!"

"Shit, really? She's there?! Why is she there?"

"She was visiting Taz. Taz is part of her family."

"Oh...okay!" Getting back on track, Ichigo asks, "What did she do?!" Ichigo asked.

"It's not what she did. It's what her sword did. Her demon sword made a huge mess!" Shinji groaned.

"Wait what?" Ichigo blinked.

"We confiscate it after apprehending her and for some reason, it broke out of the lab and went around, destroying shit!" Renji shouted.

"You took the sword away from her???" Gojo asked surprised.

"Uh...yes. Are we not supposed to do that???" Rukia asked.

"Well...no...you see. She can just call upon her sword and the sword comes to her-"

"CALL IT?!" Renji shouted.

"As in.....she summons it to her side?" Shnji said. " "If that's true, that sword could of make a straight line for her. I wonder why it was speeding around the Seireitei, was it trying to find her?"

"Is it like a zanpukto?" Ichigo said. Everyone is quiet.

"We are trying to figure it out! So I was hoping the teacher explain that to us." Shinji asked. "That sword made a huge mess. He destroyed some buildings, hurt most of our Soul Reapers, and terrorized the Seireitei .

"OH! I have a good guess." Gojo said happily.

"Really? What's that?" Rukia asked.

"That's because that sword has a mind of its own. Sometimes, Wyvern, the greatsword, is a fickle thing and sometimes doesn't listen to its owner..."

"Wait what?" Ichigo said as the other line is slience.

"Though...sometimes the sword knocks out the wielder.'" Gojo said cheerfully. Ichigo can imagine the reaction from his allies and friends when they hear that as there is silence on the other lie.

"THE HELL?! You're telling me that sword caused a lot of DAMAGE, beat up Soul Reapers from our squads, destroyed several buildings, gave our the seats and lieutenants trouble, and fought three of our captains! It has a mind of its own and doesn't listen to its master?! What kind of sword is this? You're making it sound like the sword can do whatever it wants and its master doesn't know it." Renji asked, flabbergasted.

"Exactly! It doesn't like anyone taking it away from the owner. And you said you took the sword away from Ink to a lab. I bet it gets really mad after being touching so it took out on you guys! I guess that's what happened?" Gojo said cheerfully.

"Are you serious???" Shinji asked.

" WHAT THE F*CK?! What the hell is wrong with your students?!" Renji said.

"Wait...wait...wait. A sword fought some seated officers, lieutenants and captains?!" Ichigo said. "Just a sword????"

"Yes! That sword is going on a rampage, destroying Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi's lab. Tore through our barracks! Knock out many of our squads! Me, Madrame, Yumichika, Kira, and Hisagi had a hard time to stop the damn thing. But we can't and all of us got hit in the shins! IN THE SHINS! IT REALLY HURTS!" Renji shouted.

"So you got your asses kicked?" Ichigo asked.

"NO! WE WERE EXHAUSTED!" Renji said this in order to save face.

"Then Captain Toshiro Histguaya intervenes," Shinji interjected.

"Okay that's good-"

"And the ice doesn't work on it. He trapped it in ice and still broke out of it! Nothing can hold it down and it was chasing him around all over the place! It didn't stop until it knockled him out of the sky.. "

"Wait...chasing! You mean Toshiro was running from a sword?!" Ichigo asked if his hearing is working right.

"I WASN'T RUNNING!!!" Toshiro is on the line, quickly retorting. "I made a tactical retreat! It was miscalucation!" Toshiro corrects him.

"Sounds like running.." Gojo snickered. He can heard some people in the background. The children.

"Oh god! Ink, your sword beat up a little kid!!!" Nobara yelled in the background.

"Damn. That's brutal. Even kids don't get a pass, do they?" Yuji added.

Ink gasped, "I'm so sorry, little guy! Are you okay-"

"SILENCE! I AM NOT A CHILD AND I AM NOT LITTLE!" Toshiro said angrily comically, his face flushed red while his lieutenant was snickering. Ink murmured a sorry. Shinji sighs and resumes his account,

"It didn't stop there it took some of Captain Shunsui Kyōraku's sake."

"Sake?" Ichigo questioned.

"Shunsui Kyoraku keeps saying that it was drinking it?" Rukia said.

"How does A SWORD drink sake?!" Ichigo said. "Don't ask me! I don't know how that makes sense either. Also! I got hit in the gut and it still continues! I tried to grab hold of it but that thing smacked me on the head! Oh, and it knocked out 2nd division Lituentant Ōmaeda on its way...by the way." Shinji gave his account.

"Ah shit...." Ichigo said while Gojo is so entertained by this.

"And then Captain Kenpachi found it and fought it!" Shinji added.

"Hold on...Kenpachi fought a freaking sword?!" Ichigo is flabbergasted as he had his hand on the top of head, as he can't believe this! How did that turned out?!

"Yes! And they kept going at it and we can't break them up, making a huge bigger mess! It went on for three hours until the sword fell to the ground and Kenpachi won as he had it in his hand. Saying something about the sword going to sleep or somethin. Now he wants to fight the owner!!" Renji yelled.

"Oh my god." Ichigo said, facepalming. If a sword gives that much trouble, he wonders how strong this Ink girl is!

"And now they are complaining, Ichigo!!" Rukia cried.

"Complaining?" Ichigo questioned. "About what???" About getting locked up or the mess they made?

Oh no...it's something completely unexpected.

"J- J-Just...listen to this shit, Kurosaki!!" Renji tells him as he turns his communicator into speaker mode. "Hey, you brats! Your sensei is on the other line!"

The voices of his students are heard.

"Hey Gojo-sensei! Sukuna says this is like heaven but there is no party, no food buffet, no music, and no games. No drinks! No refills! Heck! There are no fluffy clouds to jump on and everyone is grumpy here!! What kind of heaven is this?!" Ink complained. Gojo hearing this seems amused.

"Yeah it sucks major balls!" Yuji said in the background.

"There is no shopping here! Everything is the same! It's like we walked into a prison! I had to borrow their clothes to see if I can make them fashionable!" Nobara yelled.

"It's like a maze." Megumi commented. "There are no directions on where to go so we have to break down walls."

"It's easy to get lost but Sajin Komaura is really nice!" Taz said.

"What kinda scam you guys running here?!" Daichi yelled while Eito squawked in agreement. Ichigo would have sworn Renji popped a vein and his eye twitched at the audacity of these kids.

"You. Damn. Punks! You're in Seireitei!! Who the hell do you think you are?!!! What the hell is wrong with you Jujutsu Sorcerers?! DO YOU EVEN KNOW THE MESS YOU MADE?!" Renji yelled comically making Gojo snickering. He is worried about his students but it sounds like they're fine.

"Seireitei!?! What's that?! It sounds like a hotel resort!" Ink said. "Heck! Where are the hot springs?"

"Yeah! There are no spas or salons!" Nobara said.

"No swimming pools or lazy river!" Yuji yelled.

"No music, no clubs?!" Daichi shouted.

"Do you guys even HAVE hot springs!?" Yuji yelled.

"Are you guys serious right now?!" Rukia bawked.

"YEAH! " Yuji, Nobara, Ink, and Daichi exclaimed in unison while Taz stayed quiet and Megumi sighed rubbing his temples as he is so done with this shit....

"You...little shits!" He hissed, "Do we look like we have ONSENS around here?!" Renji retorted, looking at the Jujutsu sorcerers in disbelief! What is wrong with them?!

"There was two..." Megumi points out as Taz nods, "Uh-huh!" Making Renji and Rukia groan.

"You got to be kidding me..." Ichigo said hearing this..what the hell did he get himself into???

"Also Gojo-sensei! These Shinigami guys said that they're death gods and all but they worried about being killed and they can get sick?! What's up with that?! Megumi said they're Soul Reapers! They're already dead, right?! It doesn't make sense!"

"They're a race of souls, Ink. They're technically spirits like youkai." Gojo smiled, answering her.

"A race?" Ink questions, "What are they, spirit elves?!"

"WE'RE NOT ELVES!" They shouted. "AND WE'RE NOT YOKAI!"

"You're the ones saying you live a long time!" Ink retorted.

Urhara had to admit. This Ink is pretty funny while Ichigo just stared in disbelief. What the hell is he listening to?! This is straight-up stupid at this point. Why was he called here? Oh right. He is here to inform Gojo and have them pick to them up from the Soul Society or rather Ichigo has to pick them up. He thought it was serious but this sounds like a bunch of delinquents got caught by cops and they are complaining to immature parents like Gojo for example. Speaking of Gojo is snickering, finding this whole situation funny!

"HA! That's What you Soul Reapers get for underestimating Jujustu sorcery and making light of us!!" It's Sukuna said, startling everyone. The Jujutsu Sorcers were in their cells along with Ink and Taz.

"SHUT UP! YOU FREAKING FOUR EYES!" Renji said.

"MAKE ME PINEAPPLE! MAKE MY DAY!" Sukuna laughed.

"I WILL KICK YOUR ASS!" Renji threatened.

"Ha! You can't even take care of a measly sword! What makes you think you can take me on?! Keep dreaming, Shinigami!" Sukuna said. Oh great...now the King of Curses is starting fights.

"Stop fighting!" Megumi said. "Sukuna...you shouldn't convince Ink to call out her sword and now look!"

"Yeah...it was your idea that it might work if it got us out," Yuji said.

"Ha! That's what they get! They think they're better than us because they're Shinigami! I had the dragon brat to call out the sword to see if we can escape but this is way better than I expected! SERVES THEM RIGHT! " Sukuna is laughing.

"Wow...I didn't know the King of Curses would be the King of Petty." Nobara commented as Sukuna is still laughing evilly, making Renji twitch an eye.

"STOP LAUGHING!" Renji yelled. "AND YOU TWO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!" Pointing at Ink and Sukuna. Yeah, they're in trouble. Sukuna could care less but Ink doesn't want to hurt people by accidentally.

"We just wanted to get out. I didn't know Wyvern would do all that. I am really sorry about that!" Ink admitted honestly.

"What kind of sword goes around, destroys things, DRANK SAKE, beats up our Soul Reapers, and does all that?!" Rukia cried.

"Wait...Wyvern is drinking alcohol?!" Ink said making Sukuna laugh even harder to which Yuji covered his mouth. "Uh! I mean...sorry, sorry?!" Ink said.

"ICHIGO! COME GET THEM!" Renji yelled while Shinji said.

"Shit....this is going to be a pain in the ass!" Ichigo groaned while Gojo and Urahara are laughing.

------ Siertire, Soul Soicey ------

"If you ask me...this is way entertaining....then I thought. I never I get to see the King of Curses again after many years. A sword took my sake, that's the story I won't get tired of." Shunsui chuckled.

"Someone has to pay for this! It's going to take time to clean this up." Toshiro huffed.

"Hm." Byauka sips his tea.

Ink speaks up "I can pay for the damages!!" She said from her cell. Most of the Soul Repears look at her.

"And how are you supposed to do that?" Shinji questioned.

"I don't know...what do you guys take in currency?" Ink asked. "Cash? Gold coins? Uh....do you guys take souls?"

Nobara had to snort.

"We are not Hollows!" Toshiro is offended making a face.

"To answer your question, we don't use yen. We use Kan. it's the currency in the Soul Society." Shinji informs her. "Not that...you have any." He crossed his arms.

"Oh then! We can change the yen into kan! You guys have a currency exchange?" Yuji said. "Right?"

Soul Reapers sweatdropped.

"Yuji...I don't think these guys even have a currency exchange." Megumi sighed.

"Oh! Then I can call Vanity!" Ink smiled.

"Who?" Yuji said.

"Vanity can help, Ink?" Taz said.

"My dad. But he's in the demon world!" Ink looks towards the Soul Reapers who are now widening their eyes at her, "You guys can get to the demon world? Since you're Soul Reapers right? He probably has some money to pay for the damages."

The words....demon world make the Shinigami freeze. "Your dad..." Renji said.

"Is a..." Toshiro trails.

" a devil?" Shinji finished.

"Yep!" Ink smiles.

This got Sukuna laughing. Shunsui almost spills his drink as if it's the most amusing thing he heard all day! Byauka twitched a brow in annoyance.

"I mean! Vanity is a good guy and he might understand. I can talk to him." Ink said.

"We're....fine..." Shinjki said.

"Hey! I have a question! What happened to Wyvern?" Gojo asked from the other line.

Good question. That is what everyone wants to know. Kenpachi has it right?

"Just....you know where's Kenpachi?! He has the sword, right? Get him in here!" And few minutes pass, Kenpachi came over.

"Ha! The hell you calling me for?" Kenpachi said, annoyed.

"Where's the sword, Kenpachi?" Shinji asked.

"Sword? Ah...you mean that demon sword that belongs to the kid? By the way, where is she? I gotta fight her." Kenpachi said, grinning menacingly. The Jujutsu Socerers saw Kenpachi and with one look, they went hell no. Sukuna had to whistle...yeah..this guy is insanely strong. Ink would be screwed if she fought that guy.

"It's nice knowing you, Ink." Nobara pats her on the shoulder.

"Yeah! We had a good run!" Yuji laughed.

"We will remember you!" Daichi laughed.

"Indeed. You will be remembered!" Sukuna pitches in.

"HUH?!" Ink looks at them.

"You guys..." Megumi sighed as Taz sweatdropped while Kinie is snickering.

"Forget that! Where's the sword?!" Shinji asked, now frustrated.

"Right, right, right. Didn't you guys have it?" Kenpachi asked.

A record scratched. Or rather one of the stings on a biwa has broken..

"Wait what?" Shinji said as silence filled the room.

"What?" Toshiro said now upset.

"I came back from training and the sword was gone." Kenpachi yawned. "Thought you guys took it."

At this point, Seireitei is going into another lockdown.

"Someone call Ichigo Kurosaki and that damn Gojo!" Shinji said. "SOMEONE CALL THEM!"

Ink raised her hand and says, "I call Wyvern and-" "NO!" Soul Reapers told her. Hours later, Ichigo came over and picked them, and well...he must say...Ink's greatsword Wyvern reminds him of his own zanpukuto.

In the world of the living, Gojo is laughing his ass off when hearing this. "Wow! I wish I should of been there! I never thought you guys gave Soul Repears so much trouble. This is something I gotta brag about to the principal."

The kids will admit...it's a crazy adventure and one to remember for all time.

AIMI MORI- - CONNECTED WITH REB'S BRIDGE TO THE SOUL KING LORE, The bridge before Avira [Reb hasn't posted the lore on this yet (i think)] - Division 7, 5th seat - She was the bridge to the soul king for quite a while until she vanished on a mission she had been given. - Was INCREDIBLY close to finding the Wandenreich's location (hiding within the soul society), but she was ultimately killed before she could figure it out and tell Yamamoto. - Her Zanpakuto was called Nobara (Wild Rose) - Super mom, slayer of hollows and baker of cookies. She was a very frequent visitor to the Rukongai district to visit the kids and join their games whether it be the big bad or as the damsel in distress for them to save. - Renji's mother, she did have to leave him in the Rukongai district in order to keep him safe should he inherit her title of the bridge (and she was so relieved to know that wasn't the case in the end due to Avira.) - She ended up sacrificing herself to give the bridge title to someone else (that being Avira, unbeknownst to her- as the role of the bridge is given at random)
