Other Timelines Series... Spacetime Sally's Beautiful Tomorrow, a 1950s Atompunk style...

...which is very close to the 60s/70s New Wave sci-fi style normally seen, but with, ya' know, a 50s flair. Oh, and to answer that one person (the Ask button is over in the side links, now, btw), the title is NOT based on the John Woo movie, since that's called 'A Better Tomorrow', rather, it's based on the song, "There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow... Shining at the end of every day..." by Rex Allen (you can check it out here). The title is in reference to how everything in the future of the 1950s was supposed to be nuclear-powered and awesome, like in Fallout, but I think we can see how it turned out by just looking around.

I was going to wait until I had full body references for them but I'm kinda impatient which means you get to see my designs for the crew from Stanisław Lem's "Eden" early.

I could yap about my design choices for a few paragraphs but I think I'll save that for the proper lineup. For now let's just say that I may have used a different, more recognisable group of 6 characters as an inspiration for their designs... and in 2 cases where that wasn't enough, I reused designs of my old characters.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers will be released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on June 25 via Kino Lorber. The 1956 sci-fi horror classic is based on Jack Finney's novel, The Body Snatchers.

Don Siegel (Dirty Harry, Escape from Alcatraz) directs from a script by Daniel Mainwaring (Out of the Past). Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter star with Larry Gates, King Donovan, Carolyn Jones, Jean Willes, and Ralph Dumke.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers has been newly restored in 4K in two aspect ratios - 2.00:1 and 1.85:1 - with Dolby Vision. It features reversible artwork. Special features are listed below.

Watched The Day the Earth stood still(1951), and yeah. This man watched it religiously as a child.

I may also be drawing connections that aren’t there but there’s some little things I can notice. Quirks, morality. Potentially just brain rot effecting how I see other movies but considering his literal connection to it- at least with a quote.

It’s also a fantastic movie in its own right, I really love thoughtful movies and metaphor and - people need to stop looking down at old movies because costumes are silly by todays standard.
