how.....about.........another villain au buuuuuuuuut ! only one of them is a villain whilst the other is like their accountant/realtor/dry cleaner/insert other person they as a villain would have a pretty solid relationship with. [this feels like nothing but also I think you can just spin gold from air]
(5 things about an au game)
okay okay okay okay SO
taako is a villain, a really snazzy Presentation Matters villain, and he really wants to step it up and his tailor just quit (which has nothing to do with Taako's High Standards or the "events" he's wearing these outfits to for sure) so he seeks out someone who fucking Gets It and finds kravitz, who used to do costuming for movies and isn't getting jobs bc those fuckers only use greenscreens now did you know that costumers are generally unionized but many special effects artists are not isn't that fascinating actually! anyway
they meet and taako's being like coy about what he needs these sick outfits for and krav is like. let me be clear im so indifferent about what it is you're doing as long as you aren't like, throwing kittens in rivers and torturing postal workers or smth. and taako's like of course not darling im destroying debt offices and making fools of officers of the law and krav is like tight what's our color scheme i brought my watercolor pencils. how much blood is there going to be, like a general estimate
and they get more familiar as krav makes these INCREDIBLE villain outfits and they flirt and talk and talk and talk (taako voice: so i obviously took the gold, i mean the corpse wasn't using it and it practically had my name on it and really i can put it back into the economy, it's not a big deal-- kravitz, with pins in his mouth: mhmm) and it isn't like Kravitz isn't at least Looking At Him a little. he's a handsome guy. it's facts
and then one day some Dark Hero or fuckin, whatever, is like I'm Going To Stop This Scourge Once and For All and is like, who is near and dear to this asshole that we can Take. and it's kravitz oh no!!! how could this happen!!!! someone alert the plot guards and taako stages this huge rescue, has to call in some allies he would usually pretend aren't allies, and they charge in to find taako's normal ass tailor he super doesn't have a crush on...having taken out these so-called heroes with his super powers. and he's just like. what. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT. YOU HAD POWERS THIS WHOLE TIME" i can play the piano too did you ask me about that? not everyone has to make these skills their careers taako-
and theyre like. let's forget the pretenses and go out for a nice dinner and you can tell me all about the piano thing. and if they end up making out while hiding from the cops so be it

“I wonder why we couldn’t have met a few years earlier.” Akira remembers, those words so clearly. They had been Akechi’s wish standing there, facing the Phantom Thieves, his plans in ruins, soul rent, desires so torn he’d manifested two personas all on his own, with no help from anyone.
The stars press into his palm, sharp enough to leave indents prickled across his skin. Two years. He’d wished to arrive two years earlier. Not a day. What good does a day make when Akechi has already spent so many years alone?
~
Goro peers around a corner of one of Mementos’ seemingly endless corridors, searching for any roaming Shadows. All that meets his eyes is the dim, red and black tinged walls of Mementos. He hasn’t gone too deep, the stupid door at the bottom of this current area has yet to open up for him, despite the frequency of his interviews and TV spots increasing. Just one more thing to add to his ever full to-do list.
He pushes off the wall and rounds the corner, moving faster now as he continues his search, and is relatively certain he won’t have any unannounced enemies surprising him. He hates that he has to travel these maze like hallways on foot, but he tried bringing his bike down once, and even after he’d gotten over feeling stupid over how ridiculous it looked to be riding a bike while dressed like a villain from a children’s television series it had been inconvenient to say the least. Constantly bumping on tracks and over rubble, he’d had to push the stupid thing more than use it. So he returned to walking.
It takes more time to search Mementos on foot, and eats up almost the entirety of a day whenever Shido sends him into the depths after a target. Even with the help of his Nav and Loki’s directions. But at this point, it’s a feeling he’s used to having. He’s stopped hating it, and instead uses the time to hone his own skills, it never hurts to get a little stronger and gain more experience, even against weak Shadows.
No Shadows appear for him to practice on as he finds the platform leading him a little deeper into this section, so he takes the escalator. This one, unlike others, actually works, and so he has a moment of rest before he has to push forward with his own momentum again.
As he steps off the escalator, he can't help but wonder again at Mementos. The Metaverse as a whole has never ceased to fascinate Goro. Palaces and Mementos itself are all slivers of humanity, granting him the ability to see inside hearts and minds in a way that so much of the population could never even imagine.
It, more than anything, illustrates to Goro just how broken the world is. Each Shadow he’s come up against, especially the ones Shido sends him after: they’re all twisted. Looking at them, he knows he can close his heart to lives ruined, and even ended, just looking at the state of Mementos, and of Palace ruler’s and their eternal greed. These people are marked for destruction, no matter what Goro does or does not do to them.
Even the few he meets who are relatively pure of heart have no chance. The overwhelming cruelty of this world will snuff them out sooner or later. Goro is simply doing them a favor, saving them from the ruin to come.
As if they knew he was thinking about them, a Shadow appears in Goro’s vision, the creature lunging at him, its many faces and hulking black, almost amorphous mass, diving at him with a roar.
Goro’s reflexes are too quick even with the Shadow’s surprise giving it some level of advantage. He dances back, gun already in his hand. The recoil of a laser pistol is nothing like that of a real one, but he still braces for it as he fires off one, two, and a third shot. Each meets its mark, the first in the shadow’s shoulder, sending it stumbling back, the second and third in its head, driving cleanly through and turning it into nothing more than black fog before it can even morph into whatever true form it has.
‘Even so’, He huffs to himself. This is trivial, wasting time and energy on these pathetic weaklings. He’s already spent hours combing floors of Mementos for his target, and frankly he’s ready to go home.
This is not the worst of the missions Shido has sent him on, but Goro does not relish the thought of the chaos that will unfold as a result of the engineer’s temporary madness. He can easily picture the disaster that will unfold, and has no desire to dwell on it. A small, very quiet, part of himself he’s never able to totally silence flinches back at the idea of how many people will end up hurt or dead when the train inevitably derails.
Before, he’d been putting individual people out of commission, creating situations where they’d either embarrass themselves or do something so outrageous they’d lose whatever authority they had. All tiny baby steps that ensured Shido would slowly, and gradually, rise to power. Now that an election was nearing Goro was no longer being asked to make tiny ripples.
His grip on his gun tightens as if that would stop the slight tremble that’s been running through his hand for months now. It is all worth it. It will all be worth it. He is sure of that. He must be.
“It will be.” Loki’s words purr, a promise that he is not in this alone.
And with that, he turns his mind back on the task at hand: finding the engineer.
The MetaNav on his phone still says he is close. Takashi is hiding somewhere in this block, and Goro is more than ready to find him. Still, he finds Takashi’s location here to be strange. When he had first checked the MetaNav upon arriving in Mementos, the location it indicated had been higher. At some point, the Shadow decided to move further down.
That simply doesn’t happen. Shadows don’t move, not when Goro has a lock on them. It is concerning, but not enough to make him stop and call the whole mission. He is not allowed to cancel a mission over something so trivial, as Shido would surely say. Besides, this is his only opportunity to stage an accident that not only creates issues with transportation, but also impacts the two targets Shido ultimately promised Ooe he’d ‘take care of’.
He needs to find him fast, he decides and turns down another corner. A Shadow stands guard, back to him, pushing Goro to duck out of sight. He crouches behind a fallen beam, tracking its movement.
He packed enough supplies for a quick Mementos trip, not a long one. Extended fighting like this is starting to wear down even his own reserves, high as they are after so much training. At least he won’t have to go to school tomorrow, they simply accept his excuses in a way that should make him concerned about the state of the school system, but instead allow him to sleep off an exhausting trip like this.
A quiet sigh escapes his lips as he tiptoes his way around the Shadow, and further into the passage. If he had his way, Shido wouldn’t ask these types of menial missions from him. There are far easier ways to deal with the two political rivals, they simply aren’t as untraceable as the Metaverse is. Shido has grown too comfortable with calling on Goro these days, increasing the number of times he sends Goro into the Metaverse with a shocking frequency.
It’s just another reason to hate him really. The fool believes that he can get away with anything at this point when that is categorically incorrect. It has forced Goro to work harder as a detective in throwing competent police off Shido’s trail, and it still won’t be enough. He knows it’s only a matter of time before someone not in the politician’s pocket, most likely Sae-san, finds a real clue to dig her teeth into.
‘Soon.’ He grits his teeth on the thought. Soon it will all be over. Shido’s ruin will be complete, and Goro will stand above him as he watches his pathetic excuse of a father rot in his own hubris and poor decisions and know that the architect of his ruin is the son whose mother he spurned all those years ago.
A quick look at his Nav tells him that the engineer is finally coming close, he has another floor maybe before he finds him. Goro hurries his steps. He’s still too far for Goro’s tastes.
He makes too much noise as he rushes, footsteps loud even to his ears as his boots hit the ground, clinking sometimes against a rail or sending a piece of debris skittering. It does not garner much attention, any Shadows capable of catching up with him are easily taken out with a precise shot or two from his gun.
It’s this rushing that makes him miss any other signs of someone being there with him. It’s not until a voice rings out that he catches on. The sound is so unexpected it causes him to make a rookie mistake that, any other time, would end up with him in serious danger. He freezes in place.
They shout again, “Just die already!”
The voice is human, that’s clear enough. Shadows don’t speak with him frequently, and most have this tenor to their voices that rings oddly to Goro’s ears. It’s something he’s picked up on gradually as he’s explored the Metaverse. This voice does not hold that same off note.
The shout is also full of panic and desperation. It’s followed up by an equally human cry of pain before, “Shit, I forgot that won’t work.”
That is enough to free Goro’s legs from the glue holding them in place. He bolts forward, spinning around a corner to get a full view of the events taking place. A figure stands facing off against a slime, hands gripping so tightly around a pipe even Goro can pick up on the whiteness of the knuckles.
With a cry, the figure lets the pipe swing in a high arc at the slime. It slams into the thing’s gelatinous body and sticks with a wet sound. He tugs at it once, groaning with effort as it refuses to budge.
“Really?!” The boy’s frustration is followed by an, “Oop!” As he jumps back, away from the slime’s lunging mouth, open wide to reveal teeth sharper than they have any right to be in something that is essentially a pile of molding jello.
The boy has no chance of surviving this fight. Without a Persona, and severely lacking brains, he’s going to get himself killed. Goro is sure of it. Honestly, who decides to face off against such a monster instead of running? At least he hadn’t tried to shoot it. He’s sure to be mincemeat in moments if Goro doesn’t step in.
Of course, the easiest option Goro has before him is to let this person die here and be done with whatever complications are sure to arise from meeting another real human in Mementos. However, Goro has never run into anyone else alive in Mementos before, and so he allows his curiosity to get the better of his common sense.
“Persona!” Goro hurls a wave of pure damage at the slime, dissolving it in an instant. As it vanishes, the pipe clatters to the floor, ringing out as it hits one of the tracks, the metallic noise echoing in the chamber.
A mop of curls turns on him, black hair the most striking feature Goro can see in this boy. The curls drape over his face like a curtain, obscuring eyes that are further hidden behind huge glasses, glinting even now in the distorted light of Mementos. The boy’s fighting stance instantly loosens, and he straightens, shoulders rolling back as a wide grin pulls across his face. He looks half a second away from throwing himself at Goro for an embrace.
Goro resists the urge to step back, away from the impending hug. The boy’s grin is infectious, relief palpable at seeing Goro. Instead of mirroring the look back at him, he lets his eyebrows knit together, a frown showing clearly on his face, “What on earth were you thinking, taking on a slime with that?” He motions down to the rusty pipe, now tipped slightly over the rail it landed against.
His critique does nothing to hinder the other boy’s smile, as he shrugs, “I wasn’t exactly asking to find myself face to face with evil jello. It was pick up the first thing I could find, or become a snack.”
Goro snorts at that. “Apt, but foolish. You should have run.”
Bafflement at the situation before him takes over his thoughts as he examines him. Who is this boy? How has he made it so deep into Mementos alive and without a Persona? What is he even doing here?
“Thank you for the rescue, by the way.” The other boy says, shifting his weight from leg to leg, adrenaline clearly still pumping, “I’m Akiria Kurusu.”
“Goro Akechi.” Goro replies.
Kurusu thrusts a hand towards Goro before wincing. The hand pulls back to clutch at his side, as he curls in on himself.
“You’re hurt.”
Goro is already reaching into his pocket for his last healing item, a bead he’s tucked away just in case things went really truely pear shaped. It’s overkill to use it on what are most likely bruised ribs, but he also refuses to risk ignoring a worse injury and having Kurusu pass out on him.
He holds the small object out to the other boy, “Take this, it should help.”
Kurusu’s eyes widen at the glittering pearl in Goro’s palm before he reaches out to take it, held gingerly between two fingers.
“This is–” he doesn’t finish, instead choosing to pop it in his mouth. A look of surprise crosses his features after a moment as gray eyes flick over to Goro, “Thank you–that's like magic.” he says, voice a little raspy.
Goro waves off the thanks, “You’ll need to be careful, it was my last one. Any further injuries will stick.”
Kurusu frowns at that, “I’m unclear on how a piece of candy healed me up, but are you sure you should have used it on me?”
“It’s not candy.” Goro starts to explain before deciding against it. If he’s to explain the Metaverse, he will not be starting with how cognition can make simple things like bandaids and energy drinks heal and restore actual injuries, “Just don’t make a habit of running at Shadows ill prepared.”
The other boy seems to take that into consideration, before, “You seem to have a grasp on what’s happening here, especially considering…” He waves a hand at Goro’s outfit.
Goro’s never really felt self conscious about his Metaverse uniform, granted to him when he and Loki formed their contract. The outfit had always felt fitting with its color palette, and his need to be stealthy. When faced with a normal person? He’s finding himself reconsidering the look. It isn’t really the most welcoming of outfits to be sure, especially since he needs this boy to trust him.
“It is a very long story.” Goro sighs, “Perhaps made shorter if I know your end of it first?”
Kurusu nods at his answer, “Fair. I’m new to the city, and was trying to find my way home. I thought my navigation app was taking me in the right direction, and I even found the train station, but…” he shrugs, “Somehow I ended up here. No real buses or humans in sight. And when the monsters started appearing, half of me thought I was dreaming.”
“And the other half?” Goro asks, somewhat amused.
“Drugs.” Kurusu answers flatly, before his eyes widen behind his glasses. Both his hands fly up in his defense,  “Not that I’m on drugs on purpose or anything! But, you know, the dangers of the big city, and all those things moms warn kids about.”
“That is ludicrous.” Goro bites back a laugh, “No one would waste drugs like that.”
The boy gives him another shrug. “Sure but what other sane answer could I have?”
It is a fair rebuttal. Goro remembers how confused he’d been the first time he’d stumbled into the Metaverse, his phone activating all on its own to drag him into a warped landscape he’d later learn was the Palace of one of his foster parents. Until he’d come into contact with Shido and his team of researchers, Goro had taught himself everything he could about the Metaverse through trial and error.
There had been many, many, errors.
“You are taking all of this remarkably well,” he can’t help the suspicion that colors his tone. He’s too thrown off by this whole encounter to mask his emotions as well as he might any other day.
It is all too strange. He’s never met another Persona user. Not that Kurusu is one, but his being here seems to spell out that possibility quite clearly. Shido’s researchers have spent years trying to get someone else to develop one, but without their own access to the MetaNav, and thus entrance to the Metaverse, they’ve had little luck. He’s never told them he could pull someone in with him, and frankly, he never will. He’d learned that little trick through sheer dumb luck, and the person he’d pulled in with him had agreed it was better to keep that aspect a secret for the time being.
He understands his rarity is what makes him valuable to Shido, and he refuses to give the man any opportunities to get rid of him the same way he does any other useless tool in his life.
“Externally, sure. Inside? I’m two seconds away from a breakdown. Truth be told, the whole ‘drugs’ theory was doing a lot of legwork for my sanity.”
Goro found that easy to believe. A thought hits him then, and his eyes narrow, curiosity taking hold, “You were using a navigation app when you found yourself here, correct? Might I see your phone?”
“Uh, sure?”
He takes the phone more eagerly than he might normally, heart picking up at the thought of what might be waiting for him there. The phone in question is a nice model, not the newest but in good condition. Kurusu had unlocked it before handing it over, so Goro is greeted with a view of his apps right away.
Ever the snoop, he takes a good, if quick, look around the phone, noting a few apps and a contact list that is abysmally empty of names beyond the most standard of: Home, Mom, Dad, Sojiro, and School. Is this boy’s life so empty of people that he has so few people in his life? Goro can’t help but think of his own phone, its contents similarly dismal.
A quick glance up tells him his companion has turned his attention to their surroundings, attention trained above them on the twisting wires and pipes that run across the top of the tunnels, and down the sides of the sloping walls.
Goro takes the opportunity to swap contacts with him and confirm that yes, Akira Kurusu does indeed have the Metanav installed on his phone.
“Where did you get this app?” He points it out.
Kurusu’s attention drops to the screen as Goro hands the phone back to him, “I dunno. It was just there. I thought maybe it installed with my latest update; you know how phones do that these days.”
This close, Goro gets a better look at Kurusu. From his estimations, he has to be close to Goro’s age, if a little younger, and certainly in high school, even if he’s not in a uniform today. His face is open, and Goro can see his gray eyes flicker with bright intelligence behind the glasses, like they’ve been hidden from the world. The frames a barrier between everyone else and the flame burning within this boy.
Kurusu is excited by this, Goro realizes. His body language screams it, from the way he stands light on his toes, ready to jump into action at a moment’s notice, to how his hands keep flexing, as if they’re searching for something he’s used to holding. Either way, he’s stumbled into an adventure; and despite almost dying already, he is having fun.
He can work with excited while he figures out just what is going on. Goro’s already poked holes in various parts of his story, from stumbling his way this deep into Mementons on accident to the way he’d reacted to the slime’s quick attack. No, there is something Kurusu isn't telling him, and Goro plans to find out just what that is.
No matter what, Goro needs information so he can properly assess the situation. His next steps should be to gather as much information as he can, put the pieces together carefully, and then determine just how much of a danger Kurusu poses to him and his plans.
“Hey, did you hear anything I just said?” Fingers snap in his face, prompting a glare from Goro.
He chides himself for zoning out in the middle of something like this. At the same time he forces his features to smooth out into something softer than the glare that itched to scrunch his nose. Not that the other boy has a lot to go on, with half his face hidden, but Goro is trying to be disarming.
“I apologize,” he says, keeping his voice light, and adding a lilt of humor to it, “You must admit, this is quite a bit to take in. I wasn’t expecting to run into someone else here.”
The boy nods, before crossing his arms to shoot Goro a curious look, “Now that you mention it, what are you doing here? You’re obviously not lost.”
Ah, well. Goro needs to answer that, doesn’t he? Possible answers run through his mind, being discarded almost as soon as they land. Lying about being lost is out of the question, neither can he tell the total truth. No sane person would stick around if told their new companion is out to drive someone insane by warping their heart.
Goro settles on, “I’m looking for something.”
“Ah.” Kurusu’s eyes dart around the passageway again, as he shifts from one foot to the other, anxious energy pooling, “So, I guess you’re not on your way out of here then?”
“Not yet.” He says the words, already distracted by the problem facing him.
He needs to figure out what to do with this boy, and quickly. He’s not just going to let him wander off, Goro has too many questions for him for that. Besides, he’d only get himself killed wandering through Mementos, even with strict instructions on how to leave. A safe area might work, but Goro isn’t sure Kurusu will actually stay there.
He’s got to take him with him. For all the trouble that will cause.
“Maybe I could help you?” Kurusu is on the same track as him, “You know, two heads are better than one, and all that.”
Maybe Goro will just kill him and be done with all this.
“This place is dangerous, it would be best for you to return home. Assisting me might only result in your injury.” Goro tries.
Kurusu’s curls seem even more wild as he shakes his head, locks somehow growing more chaotic with the movement, “No matter what I do it’s dangerous. I might as well help you search, who knows? Maybe you can teach me how to do that glowy thing.” he waves a hand at his face, indicating Goro’s mask and how it had shifted into Loki.
Something about the way he called his Persona a glowy thing irks Goro, so it’s without thinking that he snaps, “What makes you think I’ll just take you back with me?”
Regret makes him wish he could take the words back immediately. The charming, ever patient, image of Goro Akechi he has always worked to cultivate would never snap at someone in need. That Goro would never suggest leaving someone behind. Yet here he had, threatened it even.
Kurusu gives him a smile that seems to say he sees right through Goro, “You seem like a good person, I doubt you’ll just leave me here to die.”
If only he knew how completely wrong he is. The last thing Goro can claim to be is good. He is selfish, anger and resentment having ground down any patience or true kindness his mother tried to instill in him to a fine, bitter dust long ago.
His assertion that Goro will not leave him to die, is unfortunately correct. He cannot seem to find it in himself to consider the suggestion for long at all.
“If you insist on helping me, I won’t say no to the company. However, things get worse here the further down we go, and seeing as I haven’t found what I’m looking for on this floor, we’ll likely have to go deeper in. Are you up for that?”
Kurusu flicks both thumbs up in the air, one after another with a wink, “Ready for anything.”
This time, Goro really does roll his eyes. This over eager attitude is sure to get old fast if Kurusu keeps it up. Mementos isn’t fun, it’s not an adventure, and it sure as hell isn’t whatever this guy has decided to believe it is.
“Let’s go, I’ll explain more about this place as we walk.” Goro turns to move further down the path before glancing over his shoulder,  “Try to keep up.”

pulps law is that whenever i get insane enough about something, i will inevitably attempt to make a persona 5 au, regardless of whether or not i am successful at it.
#pulp speaks#anyways guys youre never going to guess what au ive been thinking of lately .#i know the correct way to go about this is make sidestep the main character but you see#i will not be doing that. and actually in fact i will not be following the storyline of persona 5 in the slightest. because lol#but morgana exists in this au purely because i dont think the others would survive without him explaining what the metaverse is 💀#the rangers are a team of detective for the public sector in this au#and dr mortum is an unassuming everyday scientist that should not peak the rangers interest in any way. at all#in the video game that exists in my head the player can pick between playing julia or ricardo#it doesnt change the storyline that much but it does make the character relationships funky so#in my head chen is best friends with julia and argent is best friends with ricardo#chen and ortega stumble into the metaverse together so if you pick julia its two best friends in a life or death situation#but if you pick ricardo its your sisters best friend+kinda your boss in a life or death situation which personally i find extremely funny#regardless of which ortega you play with the other one doesnt know about the metaverse until id say like. the end of the first palace? beca#use thats when they start getting suspicious#and because this is ortega they follow them and find out about the metaverse that way#i dont think they become a phantom thief but i think they do end up covering the others asses irl#dr mortum still isnt actually a doctor but i think theyre the one providing medicine to them at the start of the game#theyre extremely wary of the rangers at the start and ortega can barely convince them to sell them things which they still charge-#-extremely high over. i think the turning point comes when they discover the metaverse because holy fuck they are So excited about it#both because of the implications and what the metaverse could be used For#chen is not thrilled about letting them know this but theyre kind of their supplier so its not like he can argue#i think mortum joins the phantom thieves eventually but as a navi#obviously its in their best interest to provide everything for free now that theyre part of the team but they still have to order supplies-#-so i think the way it works out in game is that theres certain days supplies can be ordered and you have to pay for it but the items can b#-picked up at any day of the week#but also i have no idea how that would work practically (its all in my head anyway so it doesnt actually matter but yk)#theres still more thoughts about this but im ✨running out of tags✨ and also i cannot organize my thoughts enough to explain it#im not main tagging this its going to be my silly self indulgent au for eternity ok

Immediate first thought (besides ‘why did you choose violence’) is that she’d probably be the best, still. She’s making it onto Tuon’s entourage. I am in pain thinking about it.
This is my AU, so I’m going to solve a personal mystery and say that her dad is Ajimbura & she’s from the Kaensada Hills. Let’s say her mom still died early from illness & dad still taught her how to hunt & track before she was tested. In fact, Ajimbura treated Nyneave as his son because he had seen her channeling at an unusually early age & was hoping declaring her his son could protect her from being made damane.
The Kaensada Hills are rural and unassimilated enough that this was not quite as useless an idea as it might seem, and let’s say they also had very functional ideas of gender roles- if someone does Man Things, they are A Man for all intents and purposes, or vice versa.
Spoiler: It doesn’t work, the sul’dam do eventually get around to testing even there and if there’s a saidar channeler, they’re gonna grab her. Nyneave becomes damane around 13. She still has that Talent for Healing, but because most Seanchan don’t want a damane working on them in that way, she’s only allowed to practice on other damane. It’s a Talent and not something that can be taught very well, which also dampens people’s enthusiasm about it since it’s not super replicable.
She’s still ridiculously powerful even with this somewhat problematic skill, though, and so she sees a lot of use in combat situations. Nyneave comes to Tuon’s attention when Nyneave’s sul’dam makes a judgement call & lets her bring one of Tuon’s favorite damane back from the brink of death after a combat injury. Tuon’s like ‘mine now’ and Nyneave joins the favorites squad.
Nyneave’s been with Tuon for ~6 years by the WH timeline. Once Ajimbura finds out where she is (since she’s higher-profile now that she’s with Tuon), he’s like ‘I must kill the Daughter of the Nine Moons’s father to avenge the loss of my son’ but her father is dead already (of ‘a bad wager’ in this timeline too) so he decides that as male captain of her bodyguard, Furyk Karede stands in loco parentis to Tuon, and therefore he must be killed.
After 3 failed revenge murder attempts, by the custom of his people, the debt rebounds upon Ajimbura and now he must become like Furyk Karede’s son and follow his trade.
This is the mechanism that Ajimbura’s people, distant descendants of the AoL Aiel, devised to stop blood feuds. If you try to revenge murder the same person three times & you can’t hack it, you have to join your enemy’s family instead and act in their interests. Most people don’t want to take that risk, or pick easier-to-kill enemies, so there’s a lot of trophy-hunting instead, kind of like how the Aiel have implemented complex prisoner of war rules so less people die.
So that’s why Ajimbura is Karede’s unhinged manservant in THIS universe. Still wish I knew why he’s there in canon!
Because I do not want Nyneave to suffer unduly, let’s say she comes with Tuon instead of Mylen (whose battlefield-medicine-descended-Healing is less impressive when compared to Nyneave’s Talent). Nyneave also represents Seanchan supremacy in a homegrown ‘we’re better than you’ way rather than a ‘we’ll brainwash you all’ way. Slightly different message, similar outcome.
She gets captured by our heroes at some point & basically has some of Alivia’s arc after that, but because she worked with Tuon and has insider info on her, she’s got more to do in Rand’s inner circle than just make people uncomfortable & lay out his outfit for the rest of his life. Actually, you know what, let’s full-circle this, the former Wisdom of Emond’s Field is Alivia Al’Meara & she’s the one who makes the call to uncollar Nyneave when she asks for it.
Also, Nyneave becomes friends with Aviendha because Avi meets her once and is like ‘forgive me but you’re the spitting image of my second-sister’s first-daughter’ (or whatever) and then they figure out that the Kaensada Hills tribes are also descended from AoL Aiel, and this connection becomes very important later on when the Kaensada Hills tribes strike out for independence in the aftermath of the entire Imperial family being murdered & the civil wars in mainland Seanchan.

There's a version of Minecraft story mode in my brain... Okay hear me out on this and know that all, and I mean ALL of my familiarity with this game is playing it's early chapters when I was a kid, followed by watching some pig guy play it and complain the entire time.
But in Chapter 2 there's two different paths you can go down, and I find the difference between them and how that would hypothetically effect Jesse fascinating. Because Redstonia (god that's a dumb name) is a relatively chill place. Everyone there is weird, but you went to the nerd town, you met the nerds, you do some nerd stuff, it gets dangerous for a bit, and then you leave.
Meanwhile in Boomtown Jesse and Axel are literally fighting for their lives from second one and are constantly in the trenches the entire time they're there.
So we take two different designs of Jesse and just make them twins. One of them is named Jesse and the other is named Jessie and they refuse to change their names. They're basically inseparable, but then that can be part of the emotional climax that happens in chapter 1 when they realize that they have to separate from each other during a serious situation.
Jesse goes with Axel and comes back with hearing damage, new scars, a hatred of loud noises, and a lot of weird hand cramps. Jessie meanwhile gets to go on a nice little vacay with Olivia where they do a bunch of redstone and nerd out the entire time. Gives them a different outlook on things going forward that's bound to change when they reunite and other Horrors of the story happen.

I lied, here's another AU: fitness class pirates
(5 things au game)
fucking incredible. are they pirates who are taking a fitness class?? is it a modern fitness class dressing up like pirates????? is it a modern fitness class besieged by real pirates?? a fitness class on a cruise ship??????? i have had cruising on the brain...
okay krav is on a cruise with his moms, who were like come wiiiiith us you need a vacation and it would be so nice and krav is like im a full adult- and they were like we'll pay and he was like i'll pack right now
his poor goth ass on this cruise. he is Baking. he is grumpy. he's an alone adult goth man on a cruise with his moms trying not to be Hanging Out 24 sev with his moms but also it isn't like he's a social butterfly. he does Not just want to Go Up to a person and talk to them. OR be perceived being alone. you cannot win. it's like a gacha waifu game, probably. so he's like. fucking structure will maybe fix this. yeah? and he signs up for some events/classes
and shows up to a like, yoga class wearing his black workout clothes on this cruise ship in sunny middle of the ocean with no land on the horizon in any direction and he is sweating so bad his sunglasses are fogging up and he's doing this class and waiting for the sea to swallow him up cause he is not exactly making any friends here
AND then their class on the shiny deck is BESIEGED by fucking?? pirates?? waving too-shiny swords and making very silly pirate noises, and the most handsome man Kravitz has ever seen "takes out" the yoga instructor and they start doing pirate yoga. all themed for the on cruise pirate show of course. it's an ad. damn. krav is not going to get tied up by a pirate. aw.
and taako comes over and brandishes his plastic sword at krav for staring and not doing downward dog and krav laughs and taako forgets his role and they talk and krav is heart eyes and taakos like. come see me after the show. eyebrow waggle. you would not want to get frisky in the crew quarters of a cruise ship but im sure lots of people do. but maybe they can figure something else out. anyway taako's on contract for the rest of the season but they become online boyfriends and there's an emotional airport reunion when they finally get to move in together and- listen-

For the AU ask game. An AU where Shax was the first demon Iruma befriended.
I like my kitten trio.
i too love kitten trio
azz was the first year representative after all, so he doesnt challenge iruma in the beginning and that means iruma isnt his beloved master
meaning iruma doesnt have a devoted servant guiding him to the classroom and spilling details about demonhood. he does however bump into lied who doesnt mind letting him tag along to find the misfit classroom
they bond over the sheer volume of food iruma consumes at lunch. lied becomes seriously invested in trying to find irumas upper limit
i love the love trio so ofc clara and azz will still become irumas friends but its a bigger friend group than just those three
lied is a nosy fucker which is why him n iruma go to investigate the pixie on the roof . however purson clocks theyre coming and convinces them theyre being haunted for the next term or so until kalego reveals purson exists at which point both of them get convinced that not only are they being haunted but the ghost is a classmate .
it takes a long while to realise purson is not a ghost. this doesnt stop them from becoming friends . lied and iruma make regular offerings to their ghost classmate as protection against hauntings, including cat pics, actual cats, offers to game w them n such. friendhsip under the guise of avoiding hauntingd

Y'know, on the flip side what do you guys think Sans would be like as a human?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Angel's eyes stray to where Sans is sitting to her right.
Now you are not privy to this, but you are once again granted a glimpse into a character's head for the sake of comedy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Angel suddenly avoids eye contact with his general direction, turning her face away from the skeleton and the phone he's using to stream.

There's a brief pause. Sans hesitates for a moment.

Angel takes a long moment to think, raising a hand to her chest as her head tilts.

She seems to catch herself mid thought and suddenly shakes her head, brightening again.

Improper Disposal AU
Post-Canon Epic Mickey story idea where Wapeach (the actual scrapped version from the Nintendo Archive Leaks (at least I think she was part of that whole deal. could be misremembering)) somehow becomes a resident of Wasteland despite not being in any way connected to Disney, and this sets events into motion that will change Wasteland forever.
She ends up landing on the far side of Mickeyjunk Mountain instead of whatever the equivalent to Disneyland's main entrance is like everyone else, probably due to the whole "actually from Nintendo" thing. Oswald's Card Guards alert him about the situation and he heads over to greet her and bring her over to Wasteland Proper, both because he makes sure to give every newly arrived Forgotten Toon a warm welcome (and an explanation of what's happened to them) and because there's no way he's letting a kid wander around lost in a literal pile of garbage any longer than he has to.
Of course, when he actually gets there he has to contend with a short-tempered, egotistical brat with an axe almost as big as her superiority complex. Doesn't change the goals but it does change the gameplan.
He does eventually calm her down enough to explain to her exactly where she is and why she's there, teach her how to use the Projector Screen portals (luckily since she was supposed to be a Mario character she picks up the platforming quick), and give her a tour of Ostown and Mean Street. Then they try to figure out where she's going to live now that she's there, but with her rather unpleasant personality and a sort of Off-ness about her compared to everyone else due to the whole "from a different company" thing, it doesn't exactly go well.
Eventually she blows her top, causes some property damage, declares that she'll make everyone sorry for rejecting her (technically they haven't (well, most of them), but she's a kid and she's been scrapped twice. she really doesn't take it well when she thinks she's being rejected or ignored), and runs back to Mickeyjunk to hide from Oswald (who is understandably worried about her) and find a good spot to build an Evil Lair.
So now Wasteland has a preteen D-list supervillain. Joy.
Anyway, a few misadventures later she's got this nagging feeling that something's missing (you know, besides all the obvious stuff) and ends up remembering that she was supposed to be teamed up with Wario and Waluigi. Obviously, the real deals aren't an option, so she gets inspiration from Oswald's Animatronic versions of Mickey's friends, hunts down and dismantles some of the local Beetleworx so she can reverse-engineer them (both Wario and Waluigi are pretty good with machines, I thought it would make sense if she was too). The result is robotic versions of Wario and Waluigi she calls "Nontendroids." Nontendroid Wario's main "not quite Wario) features are that he has a big tire instead of legs and big hydraulic forearms, while Nontendroid Waluigi's are a blunt claw for a left hand and an extra pair of long retractable bare-metal appendages that stick out of his back and can have pretty much any tool you can think of attached to the ends. Just like the Animatronics, they act pretty much exactly like their real-life templates (though with some added behaviors based on their status as robots and the new abilities that provides).
Anyway, this is all leading to a Big Event, the kind of Big Event that Mickey would come back over to help with, but this is what you get for now because it's 5 am and I'm tired.
