soooo i tried to come out to my mom today and it didn’t go well… she basically said im not queer in any way because when i was little i never had any crushes on women :( and that i probably shouldn’t ever get into a relationship with a woman because then my brain might think i am queer when she says im not. i tried to tell her how that was offensive but she thinks that being queer has become so “popular” that ppl who aren’t queer think they are. she thinks she has friends who she thinks aren’t rly queer but got “stuck” in a queer relationship and they feel too bad to back out of it. i didn’t know what to do so i just told her i was straight and that she didn’t have to worry about it. but now im freaking out bc i feel like im lying to her but i don’t know what she’s gonna tell my dad because they’re also in a fight right now and i don’t wanna lie to my dad but they also tell each other everything so i don’t want my dad to tell my mom that im probably queer and for her to freak out. and now im freaking out bc idk if she’s right… i don’t think she is but idk anymore. :(

Hi! So everything your mom said WAS offensive and like....way off-base. Having a crush when you're little doesn't necessarily make it so you are/aren't queer, and getting in a queer relationship wouldn't make a straight person turn queer. If you say you're queer, you're queer. That's it. And so many of her viewpoints are super hurtful and I'm so sorry you had to deal with that.

As far as what to do/say, you need to decide what's best for YOU right now. Don't worry about your mom or your dad or being truthful. This is about protecting your mental health. (Plus, not coming out isn't lying...it's choosing not to share something private). You need to decide what feels safe and right for you, and if that's not talking about it for now, then that's okay! Take your time, and do what feels right <3

Ok so this is totally like not a problem but for me it's like the 4th biggest problem in my life rn and none of friends like the marauders so I have no one to talk about this with so I'm just going to write it here but basically I love regulus so much like he is my absolute favorite and he's the reason I entered the fandom so I'm very attached to him and I ship jegulus but also I have nothing against jily shippers but I just can't read jily because it constantly seems so heterosexual and that is what I'm trying to get away from by reading fanfics but like there are so many stories that seem so good like tcoptp or atyd but they have jily I'm pretty sure which is like my worst nightmare and regulus is only a background character I think so yeah that's pretty much it I'm just upset because I want to read them so bad but I cannot stand jily 😖😖

I mean a lot of really amazing fics have jegulus as either a main or background pairing. Just because a few popular ones don't, doesn't mean your experience has to be affected. trust me, there are SO many wonderful jegulus fics. I'd suggest filtering on ao3 by relationship, that way you only get jegulus fics. Or you can even filter to not include jily, if you prefer!

I was wondering if you had advice on how to handle feeling Blah and stuff? Like, even when doing stuff you like, or thinking of hanging out with people, or just existing, it feels meh?

I figured I was just being lazy when I first felt like this so I made myself take a shower, wash my hair, eat, brush my teeth, etc. I fed the birds, I opened the windows, I looked outside for a bit, I tried to draw, but nothing. Nada. I still just feel meh

Can you try to reward yourself for doing the blah things by planning things that make you happy? Like something to look forward to?

Also, for blah feelings in general- taking a shower can really help! and music! music always helps me. Give yourself a soundtrack, you know?

But if you find you're feeling 'blah' a lot, then that could be a sign of something else going on- lack of sleep, depression, etc. So if this is a persistent thing, it might be something to look into more.

My cousin (the one who basically put me down for having a therapist) is changing. Idk if its for the better or good bur wr used fo have the same values and beliefs and whatever

Now let me put this into context:

It was recently Purim, a holiday where the Jews celebrate the downfall of a man who wanted to wipe us out because he was jealous of one man (no literally he was jealous so decided the only option was to kill all the Jews in the 127 provinces) so we celebrate the fact that he failed to do so by doing 4 commandments like listening to the story, having a feats, giving money to the poor and giving gifts

Every year my school does a party ans there's also some floats which isn't necessarily appropriate for a religious girl to go to just cos there's loads of alcohol and people go there to hook up. Loads of girls leave the party early to go to the float which is upsetting cos the float goes on to late, until like 3am and the party usually ends at 12 so idk why people can't just stay cos it takes loads of time and effort to out this into place and as Purim is 2 nights, there's another night to go to the float

We always agreed on how annoying it is and rude that people leave early but this year she did (literally stayed for like an hour and left which was so rude) which was strange but whatever

My year also decided it would be so much cuter if wr did an all school costume so wr did! People payed like 10 pounds for a costume and wr got it all sorted but ao many people were being so rude like 'omg just tell us don't gatekeep you're being so annoying bla bla bla' and like I get it but...just wait a week please!

She would always react to this with a 🤣or 🔥 which stung cos my year is doing so much

We organised games for a weekend away, we organised the Friday night and sat night activities which took alot of time! We decorated the school for purim which took WEEKS then having to come in on sunday for 4+ hours to put it all up, we're doing a play and on top of that we have to look for universities and start putting our life together so it really hurts that instead of telling this 11 year olds to grow up and have patience, she's laughing with them and also bugging me to tell her the costume

Sorry it's so long but she's just changed and idk if I like hanging out with her anymore. I'm not judging and idc if her values have changed but I care if they've changed enough that she's also laughing at me and my year when we have so much on our plate to do for the school and she cant even offer a helping hand

If she reacts by laughing more, then yeah, it might be that you're growing apart a bit. But if she apologizes, then it could be that she didn;t realize how you were affected by her actions. hey! It’s teen angst anon.

so I finished the block I was doing (the eastern pacific rim), and that was really stressful towards the end but I got through it. and now, I’m a week into my current block, which is anatomy and physiology. That’s going pretty well, I decided to not be class note taker for the first time literally all year, and it’s nice to not have that extra added stress.

regarding other stuff - my mom just got back from a trip, and she was gone for two weeks. It was nice to get to spend time with my dad, but I’m glad she’s back because I missed her. I have one more week of actual rehearsals before tech week as well! And that’s pretty stressful, but also really exciting because it’s my first show of high school! It’s a moment I’ll remember forever!

The first one is a Jellyfish-based quirk named whose hero name is Jellia. She was my main OC around the time I introduced myself as one of your anon hence the anon tag. Her hair can take shapes into any jellyfishes she's ingested in the past (I fr think she'd vibe with Suneater and Fat Gum) and inherit their attributes and she's sort of buoyant in air and she kisses the floor that Gang Orca walks on. If there are no more Gang Orca fans in this world it's because she's dead. Originally made her to have the same age range with Hawks but now she's in the same age range with the students but has no pairing considering she's a child and I think it fits her jellyfish motif to be ace. She's got unresolved mommy issues. Like. How can she resolve it when her mum is dead? Also her maternal grandad hates her and compares her a lot to her dead mum lol.

BUT my now main OC is Miss Chief who I literally based all my c.ai RPs on is Miss Chief who has a Kitsune XI quirk (she's the most traumatised amongst my BNHA OCs because her entire family lineage is built upon quirk marriages 💀 she's the biggest Endeavor anti only 4th to Dabi, Natsuo and Shoto. She's not related to the Todoroki's but she'd fit right in). Literally a government dog (don't call her that tho she's not a dog :( she's a fox meant to be free in the wilderness (ok dog)). Trained in the HPSC with Hawks as a teenager so you can imagine why she's extra spicy in the head. My thought process of developing her is literally "Jellyfishes don't go into heat/rut cycles :( ik Hawks' quirk is not actually avian based BUT I gotta cover all bases and make her compatible with fanon Hawks too!!!" and so Miss Chief was born. Dug around my brain and remembered I had a nine-tailed fox OC once and was like !!! Oh. Yes. Anyway, she's crazy but she's best friends with Hawks so I feel like she has every right to be

Last one is just. ✨Me✨. It was a coping mechanism I was reaching a point in my course where I'm trying to study and understand pharmacokinetics and going like "damn why am I here just to suffer" so I made an OC whose quirk amplifies the pharmacokinetics of a person when she smacks her DNA into them. Think of it Stain does it. She's the least problematic since she's Recovery Girl's granddaughter. Her only problem is that she's fucking socially awkward around Hawks because she has the biggest fattest crush on him but cannot act upon it because he was her patient 💀. She met Hawks in the hospital while he was recovering and he was complaining about how his pain medications haven't kicked in yet and she just stares at him blankly, licked her palm and gave him a SMACK and was like "ok my job here is done" and he's just there like why did you smack me tf "unlike my grandma I don't kiss patients bye" and scuttles off and had to beg her manager to send her off for an early break and then put her somewhere else later. Literally drew and made lore about her in between me making notes from lectures LMAO

I agree and would like to expand upon this a bit. obv We're not going to talk about the playoffs bc that is a totally different conversation.

prefacing all of this with I am not a coach i am not an athlete I only know from sports what I see and what I read so use this as you will. [i got into hockey January 3 2024]

I do think Kori has a tendency to rely on canadian national team members even when they aren't necessarily being productive.

I also think the data isn't fully representative of the situation. Chuli has a much smaller sample size and many of her games occurred before our injury troubles.

She played against every team except ottawa, which is interesting, because we usually [except that one game] did well against ottawa. and Kori seemed to prefer to play Chuli against teams that we did well against.

It is also interesting that she played 4 of 5 against minnesota, starting after the 0-3 first meeting with ARD. Chuli was 3 wins and 1 shootout loss against them.

Interestingly enough, it took until the 4th meeting for her to play against toronto, and saved 30 of 32, second only to ARD saving 36 of 39 in january. We always let in 2 + goals against tor, with the closest regulation game being 2-1 and having a 3-3 OT and 3-3 shootout [guess what happened lol]

Chuli before worlds would regularly only have one goal allowed, as opposed to desbeins who would let in 2. [this is very clear looking at the goals against avg]

I think it's hard to look at the Min game after worlds because 1. it was the team's first game after worlds and 2. it was her first game in nearly a month.

The argument for ARD [aside from the FA thing*] is that if we're still mostly winning [aside from toronto] it's not a bad record so why not play the "#1 goalie"

the argument against is would it not be easier to win if we were scored on less? [the answer is yes]

You of course have to look at how the goals were scored too. I could have gone back and looked at every goal against but I didn't feel like doing that so this is my recollection.

Chuli had some issues with rebounds I think and goals in the top corner on her stick hand [which i'm sure is where people are trained to shoot]. Desbiens to me, seemed to let in more "oopsies" that kind of snuck in or were lower to the ground. "she's gonna want that one back" is what all the announcers say.

the team also played better with Chuli in net, and you have to wonder if they are more aware of not letting as many shots through because "the best goaltender in the world" isn't in net. Though Desbiens faced on average 29.8 shots per game [inclusive of OT] and Chuli faced 31.6.

I think if you don't have the worlds break, Chuli plays more in the last 5 games. I do think the biggest mistake was not playing her in the last boston game but what do I know.

desbiens' save % was .923, which is 5th among qualified goalies, but her goals allowed against was 2.28, which puts her above only schroeder and Maschmeyer. 2.28 also means that the team has to score more to win. [and as we all know montreal has a mentality problem and difficulty coming back from being down/ shut out]

we went to OT [not shootout] 5 times, and desbiens was in net for 4 of those, with a 2-2 OT record [one of these OTs was against boston and we had a goal called back with a long review so that was rough on all involved]. Chuli won in OT against Boston, facing 3 shots on goal.

We went to Shootouts 3 times and honestly i'm not even going to talk about that because I blame the skaters for not sniping the puck/kori for playing poulin a bunch even though her record was not good. lmao [other goalies you're welcome for giving you better shootout save %]

If I were montreal, I would want to lock her down by offering more playing time or at least more opportunities to play. If I were Chuli, I'd see if Ottawa or New york wanted me [honestly I think those are the only places she'd get playing time even though toronto/boston are probably also looking for #2s jk she might get more times in boston but idk] . If I were Kori cheverie this season, I would have played her until her #s matched desbiens'.

There is something to be said about consistency in playing which is a reason to have a #1 goalie [if you look at save %, both Minnesota goalies [who played pretty close to an even number of games, came in 6 and 8 of 8 on save % from qualified goalies [masch came in 7] But rooney and hensley came in above desbiens on Goals against avg [2.08 and 2.19 vs 2.28]

of course we have to acknowledge that all of these stats come from a very small sample - desbiens only played 16 games, Chuli 8. But head to head, I think [not know] that their stat differences are statistically significant.

*the FA thing [which we can combine with the national team thing bugs me a lot because why wouldn't you just play whoever is playing well the most. The most obvious examples of this are hilary knight and kristin o'neill [not a FA but a high draft pick] who while I understand are important leaders, probably could have been moved down a little more.

Yes, I am scared. 110%. I'm not expecting some sort of "attention", or making people feel sorry for me or that case.

My parents, more specifically my mother, have always compared me to others my age. Especially as I got older. I'm 22, turning 23 this year, my mom has always told me that I, as a woman, I had to do certain things because, guess what? I'm a woman.

My parents, again mostly my mother, has always forced to do things that I do not want to do, then blame it on me.

Anyway. My mom has always told me that you have to have everything lined up for you when you graduate college and/or high school. I do have a boyfriend, I've known him since we were in high school together. Due to how unreasonable housing is right now, as soon as it becomes affordable, I'm planning on moving in with him.

I feel like I blame myself all the time. To not have everything figured out, while my parents think that I should have everything figured out. Besides my boyfriend and my grandma.. I have no one else to tell my worries to. My family constantly emotionally draining me, so I'm always emotionally tired.

Your family is lucky to have someone like you. I, for one, would have loved to have a mother like you in my life. Anyway sorry for this being a bit long.

It sounds like your mother may be trying to get you to conform to possibly the same gender roles she herself was forced into. It was what was expected of her, so she maybe thinks that's just the way things are. Maybe she herself didn't like it either, but just grinned and beared it, so she thinks that's what you need to do, too. (Obviously I'm purely speculating, here.)

That's not to say it's right or fair of her for expecting that of you. She should not force you to do things you don't want to, simply because of your gender. Full stop.

I don't know how old your mother is, but the problem I see with the older generation (mostly Boomers but I've encountered a few Gen Xers like this, too) is that they don't seem to realize that the world is so much different than it was when they were younger. (I say 'they' but I am a Gen Xer myself. Shh, I'm still cool and hip, though. 😎😆 )

Anyway, I know the job market is so hard right now. Back in the day, you could simply walk into a business and practically get hired on the spot. Not so today--you're competing with dozens, if not hundreds of other applicants. Businesses don't want you to call or walk in now, instead funneling you through an online application process that could take the better part of an hour, and boils down to answering sometimes a hundred questions in a pre-made form that doesn't really do anything except waste time. And you get to do this for every job you want. It's frustrating and downright disheartening.

So having that job 'lined up' isn't as easy as it once was.

And this isn't even touching on how much more expensive everything is. The housing market, as you yourself know, is NUTS right now--rent is skyrocketing, and house prices have gone through the roof so much it's pushed out any first-time buyers. There is absolutely no way a kid fresh outta school could afford to move out without help.

I'm just gonna say it - your parents are being unreasonable. The world is so different now than when they were your age. It's more complicated, a hellovalot more expensive, and a lot less stable. To expect you to have everything all figured out and planned to perfection is delusional. Up to now, your biggest worry was keeping up with your studies. Now they expect you to just jump out into the real world, with everything all sorted?

It's very frustrating when parents pull the "When I was your age" stuff. "When I was your age, I was living on my own/working full time/married with a kid on the way." Yeah? Good for them. You're not a clone of them, and the world isn't the same as it was then.

When I was your age, I was still living at home, working as a cashier in a grocery store. That's it. I had no relationship, and no plans or ideas about what I wanted to do with my life. And to be perfectly honest, I can't think about the future. It's just a blurry speck on the horizon. I can't think in terms of "In 5 years I want to [blank]." Because it's just all so abstract to me. That's a long time in the future, and there is so much that can change between then and now. I can't plan to [blank] if I don't know what next week will hold.

It's something that drives my husband batty, because he's a big picture guy. Always asking me what I want to do with my life, what I want to accomplish. And when he does, I just get overwhelmed and feel tired. Because I'm not a big picture person. I'm a detail gal. I focus on the minutiae. The here and now. The things that matter in the immediate future, not the far off abstract future. (Probably why I'm a pantser, honestly.)

I totally get being emotionally drained by someone. It's exhausting and leaves you feeling so low, so down. You wonder if they're right, if there really is something wrong with you because you don't think like them, because you don't see the world the way they do. And especially if others around you seem to know who they are and what they want. What's wrong with you that you don't?

Here's the truth, hon. There's nothing wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with being scared of the future, or not being able to really figure out where you're going. This is a big step in your life, and it's completely and totally normal to be scared shitless at it. Your parents should be encouraging you, helping you navigate it so you succeed, not brow-beating you because you don't automatically have all the answers.

I'm glad you have your boyfriend and grandmother to help you stay sane. Don't freak out that you don't have everything all lined up nice and neat the way your parents want. They seem to want to know what the layout of your new house is when you haven't even found land to start building on! One step at a time!

Don't worry about the length. Write as much as you need.

Esposa (Leila Ouahabi x Reader)

Hola to all my now 400+ Followers, I really cannot believe that I can say that! I got this idea and @grapefruit-personified helped me refine it and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So here is the start to my new Leila series :) thanks to the anon for the prompt  

Living a 3 hour flight from you wife was trying, but you made it work. You knew when you met here that she lived and breathed Barcelona and Spain. The biggest problem was that you knew you would ever be able to go back to play in Spain, being blacklisted by the Spanish federation definitely put a smaller damper on that dream. 

You had come up in the Espanyol academy like most of the Spanish players, you played with the national team. However you became blacklisted when you spoke up to the federation about the abuse you had received under the coach at the time. Instead of dealing with it, they blacklisted you and put out a statement about you not believing in the federation and no longer wanting to play for the national team. 

To say you were shocked was an understatement. The thing that hurt you the most was not that you had to move away from home to play and would never play for your country, but the fact that most of the girls you grew up with believed them. You were alienated from most of the team, the only one who reached out was Leila. 

She became your rock, the two of you kept your relationship on the down low. You did not want her to suffer because she was associated with you, it was easier for the both of you to keep your love quiet. Thats not to say it was easy, living apart from your other half was always a struggle, but you spent your summers back home in Spain and both your families knew at least, so it made it easier. 

When the opportunity came to join Manchester united in their inaugural season you jumped at, any chance to play professionally again. You were now going on your 4th season with the club, and you knew that you would probably never play anywhere else again. Mostly cause if you could you would go back to Spain. 

In your 3rd season, when a new Spanish player joined the team, you defeated heavily with Leila wether or not to tell her about your relationship. You didn’t know the young player as you were 5 years removed from the national team, but your lover did. Eventually you realised that Ona was amazing, and you didn’t want to hide fro her. She easily became a confident for you, and even for Leila when they were at camp. She would often cover for her when she was speaking to you. 

The past Christmas you and Leila finally tied the knot, you both wanted a low key wedding consisting of your families. During the after wedding celebrations, she broke the news that she was signing for Manchester city. You were in shock but she was adamant that she needed to change to grow her game, but also wanted to do something for you. 

After many lengthy discussions you both agreed that it was best to keep your marriage between your selves, at least until she was more settled and established in the WSL. You both wanted to make sure that the negative association with your name was fully cleared before you came out to the world. 

You had both flown in together earlier that morning, as you had spent the last month in Spain with her helping her pack up her place. It was a blissful month where you were both felt like it was a bit of a honeymoon you never had. You were now facing a separation, as to keep up with the cover up you both decided she would stay in the team assigned house they got for her. The good thing was you lived with Ona so you could be together at your place. 

You had both arrived to your place and decided to spend your last night there before you both started preseason the following day. You were laid on the couch with your feet on the coffee table watching tv, with her head on your lap while she napped. You were running your hand through her hair and thinking about how much you will miss her when you heard the door open. 

Turning slightly towards the door you met Ona’s eye as you waved and she said “Hola Y/N! Missed you chica.” 

You couldn’t help but smile because you missed the smaller Spaniard and you responded back “Hi Ona, Leilas here too but she’s napping.” 

Your wife could sleep through an apocalypse. Ona knew this as well so she was not worried about waking her up. Ona disappeared to drop her bags off and when she came back she flopped into the arm chair beside the couch and kicked her feet on the coffee table beside yours. She knocked her foot into your ankle when she said “How was your break?” 

“It was good, spent some time packing up Leila’s place and then we just kinda hung out, mini honeymoon if you will” you tell her. While you are speaking you have resumed your hand running through her hair. 

You look over at Ona as she asks quietly “Do you know what you two are going to do yet?” 

Taking a moment before you respond you look down at your wife as you say “Honestly, we are just gonna have to wait and see” 

When you finish Leila chimes in “Its silly babe, I want everyone to know your mine.” 

Ona laughs at the fact that Leila hasn’t moved or opened her eyes as she is arguing with you. You press your hand on Leila’s forehand as you respond “Love, we talked about this we will wait for a bit.” 

“Maybe we should bring you up at the next national team camp and see how the team responds?” Ona asks you with a raised eyebrow.

At this question Leila sits up and adds “We could try that? We have a camp in a few months?” 

You roll your eyes at the hopeful look in both their eyes. You know Leila wants to tell the world were married, and Ona wants to be able to talk about her best friend with the national team. “let see how this team goes first love” 

They both sense that your done with this conversation and change the topic to the upcoming season, you lean back again and feel Leila place an arm over the back of the couch behind you and the other above your knee you can also feel Ona’s feet resting against your ankle. Sitting their with your wife and your bets friend you can tell that this season might just be one of your favourite ones yet.

It was almost a week later when you were finally able to see your wife again, it was a change from being with her 24/7 to not even being able to FaceTime her since she was undergoing a lot of team bonding things. Luckily your team was pretty much the same as the last season with 2 new players. You loved your team and enjoyed getting to know them, but knowing your wife was less than a half hour away and not being able to see her was torture. 

So when you knew what time she was coming by tonight, you made sure to kick Ona out so you to could be reacquainted. You immediately ended up locked in your bedroom under the covers. When you finally came up for air, you were settled with your chin on her chest and your body covering hers, with just the sheet covering you both. Looking up at your wife you asked “how is your first week love?” 

“It was awesome hermosa. I am actually really liking the team and the trainings. It is so different from Barca, everyone wants to win but is much less serious than there.” she tells you and leans forward to press a kiss to your forehead. 

You savour in her touch as you say “I am so glad you like it. You wouldn’t be lying because you don't want me to feel bad that you moved here for me right?” 

She laughs and tells you “Hermosa when have I ever lied to you?” 

“You mean every year on my birthday and our anniversary when you lie to be for a surprise?” you ask as you roll your eyes at your wife. 

She laughs again as she wraps her arms tighter around you and quietly says to you “I promise I am not lying hermosa, I’m actually really happy for a new challenge and to learn a new team.” 

Before you can respond you hear the door open and Ona yell out “I hope you two are not naked anywhere but your room Y/N. Tell me if it is safe to open my eyes!” 

Laughing you yell out “Your safe Ona, were in my room!” As you hear her steps echo down the hallway you yell out before she gets closer “Naked!” 

She stops right outside your door and ask “can you put clothes on I have news to tell you guys!” 

Leila yells out to Ona “YOu gotta give us more than that if you want us to move”

“Its about the Spanish Federation!” she yells out excitedly. 

You meet Leila’s eyes as you shrug your shoulders waiting for her move before you decide what to do. She leans down and press her lips to yours in a brief kiss before she slides out from under you and moves to put on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. You follow her move but before you move out of your room you grab her hand and turn her towards you as you tell her “No matter what she says love, you and me are end game. I love you and am very happy never playing in Spain again.” 

She presses a deep but brief kiss to your lips as she says “I love you too” against your lips before she turns to open the door and lead you out of the room. Ona has moved to wait in the kitchen and is sitting on the counter with a tub of ice cream and a spoon she’s eating. “what’s the news Ona?” 

She shrugs as she says “What not even a Hi, or how was your day?” 

You roll your eyes at your best friend as you move towards her and grab a spoon from the drawer and then scoop some ice cream out of the carton she’s holding. As you are doing this you can see Leila is on her phone, you’d assume trying to see if there is any news. “anything babe?” 

“One sec Hermosa.” she tells you as she’s reading her phone “the group chat is blowing up” 

Ona nods and you lean beside her on the counter to wait and hear the news, thank god Ona has ice cream to munch on while you wait. It takes a few moments before Leila turns to you with wide eyes and says “It’s not public but they’ve told the team about a change in all senior leadership within the federation.” 

You look confused as you ask “Why what did they say?”

“They have found several abuse complaints against coaches that have been swept under the rug.” Ona chimes in. As soon as you hear this you meet Leila’s eyes across the kitchen and you can feel your world spin on its steady axis. 

Leila takes a step towards you as your mind is spinning, she reaches for your hands as she says “Y/N?” 

You shake your head as you feel one of her hands cup your cheek and you can feel Ona place a hand on your back. You take a moment and turn to Ona and tell her the truth “One of those complaints was mine, thats why I was blacklisted by them.” 

Ona keeps her hand on your back and you feel her start to rub as she says “I am so sorry Y/N.” 

You shrug and ask the question on all your minds “What happens now? are they going to investigate?” 

Leila hasn’t moved from in front of you as she says “I don't know, we will have to wait and see. But either way Hermosa, you have us. We always got your back” 

“Yeah Y/N we both are on your team always” Ona adds in. 

You lean forward and wrap Leila in a hug and you reach out an arm to pull Ona into your group hug. You are brought back to the moment last week when you thought it would be the best season ever, but now you aren’t sure you will even get to finish out the season.

Deciding to forget about the Spain drama, you all move along with your team bondings, training and preseason games. Keeping your relationship a secret is even more important now, since you don't know if your name will be dragged through the mud with the revelation. This becomes harder when you realise you are opening the season with a derby game. 

Not only do you have to pretend you aren’t in love with Leila, but now you have to play against her for the first time. Neither of you really thought about the fact that you would be playing on rival teams and you would have to play in a game across from your wife. 

Ona couldn’t believe you didn’t think about this, and she laughed her head off when you told her about it. She teased you mercilessly about it, and loved that she was at least able to get you to smile. Walking in to the academy stadium you couldn’t help but look around and hop to see your wife. 

The team was on the field doing a pitch inspection when you spotted her for the first time that day, she was across the field with a group of her teammates when you locked eyes. As much as you were worried about giving it away, you also were super competitive and you would not let her win. You winked at her and gave her a small wave on the way back to the change room. You felt refreshed and ready to play. 

When the teams were lined up ready to walk out, you prefer the back of the line. Your wife being your wife, forced her way to as far back as she could so she could be close to you. When you walked by her you would hear the whispered “buena suerte.”

Looking around you noticed no one focused on you so you blew her a kiss. This game was the perfect way to take your mind of all the things that may or may not happen with the Spanish federation and you were glad for the distraction. Kicking your wife’s ass will also make you feel better so you were determined to do that.

Have you noticed the trend of 4th gen boy groups having edgy vibes? Their fandoms think their music is superior to BTS because it is more edgy and hard with autotune. I've seen people say BTS is outdated, they should do songs like Stray kids, Ateez, Svt and I realized it's true BTS has never made a song like 4th gen biggest boy groups. Even TXT doesn't have an edgy song. Maybe the problem is Hybe? Hybe should hire younger producers who can make edgy songs. Then the groups will get more fans.

Hi Anon,

The above video is an ad BTS made in 2018 that sounds exactly like a bunch of 4th gen groups' 'edgy' tracks today. In my opinion. In fact, I remember when this ad dropped, the 'edgy' sound of the song was not as prevalent among 4th gen boy groups as it is today (scroll through the debut/1st comeback albums of all the groups you listed Anon), but the ad was so ridiculous and yet so good, that it caught on for quite a bit. Fast-forward to 2023 and you're right that this is the dominant sound in 4th gen boy groups.

So I doubt the stylistic musical choices made by BigHit are because they don't have "young producers" who can create the sound you're describing. Especially given BTS/BigHit producers were utilizing UK and Chicago drill rap (in k-pop ads lol) way back in 2018, before the cross-over of that style into more groups' sounds.

That's all I feel the need to point out, Anon, simply because that misconception in your ask is the easiest to correct. You're free to keep up with other groups' whose sound you might prefer. I have no comment as to what you say 4th gen boy group fandoms think either.

i find it interesting how a lot of these 4th gen groups are selling so many physical albums but are not generally known among the public. and how the music landscape is largely digital now (youtube, spotify, tiktok, etc.). i can't really wrap my head around it because no way are people are actually buying multiple albums for the random chance that they get their faves' photocards (at least i hope not? it's so much waste...). a 4th gen stan is probably gonna be mad but i was a fan during 2nd gen/3rd gen and even with the biggest groups with the biggest songs, they didn't sell the amount that a lot of not-as-big groups are selling now. it was big news if a group sold more than a million (esp in exo's case where it was consecutive) but now it's realllly common.

oh anon i hate to break it to you but that is exactly what is happening. entry for fansigns is also another way they'll try to get people to buy more albums. it's all about numbers inflation, but also i don't necessarily blame companies for trying to pump physical album sales because those are what make them money. spotify pays literal pennies in royalties and i suspect that every other streaming platform is the same, so - especially for the last two years since there was no touring/offline events - they have to find a way to make a profit somehow. but the downside is that it does lead to a massive amount of waste and no company cares to do anything about that. the only one that i know of who has actually made an attempt to mitigate that is ist, victon's company, who offered an option for chronograph to have a digital download and photocard only. i think they also might have done the same for hanse's album as well. to be fair i think the exorbitant copies getting thrown out is mostly a problem for the really big groups only, but it is common for fans to buy 2-4 copies just personally if they're collectors, just because of the different versions.

Fortune is complicated. Difficult to explain. Best viewed through a supernatural lense than a logical one. And Sdra2 didn't even explore in what way Kinjo was disabled. Like I get he's going back to his vegetable state before dying, cause that's what should have happened before fortune intervened. But like he was hit in his frontal lobe so logically that is what should be shutting off first, and the frontal lobe includes memory, emotion, impulse control, social skills,problem solving and motion/movement. But this biggest problem is organisation. I might actually just rant about this another time.

But if LINJU was going to go with that, at the least he could of explored it a bit more. Or maybe do research on people damage in the frontal lobe, and their experiences, cause I don't think they all just end up in wheelchairs after 5+ years. I get the bullet was meant to kill therefore Kinjo should be dead/dying, but just putting him in a wheelchair and making him a lot paler (like really pale, I scared myself by how pale he was in Sdra2 when I was doing sprite edits and got used to the DRA platelet, makes me worry for him.) Doesn't really work. But then again, there would be no time to include it in Chap 6, and he just wanted to get it across that the man was dying. And it's not like Kinjo got his own ref sheet.

Heyy, I was that one anon that asked you about NU:Carnival not that long ago… so I was finally able to play it (via browser) and I gotta say, I have some salt and some things to say, if u don’t mind…

I like the art, voice acting and other things, but man………. Those f-cking spikes in difficulty in every new chapter just kills me. Like, you are doing first 2-3 chapters no problems, and then BAM the 4th chapter and now you need to constantly grind to get your level up, but the problem is that you are constantly short on money (like, normal currency, not the one you use to pull characters), also, if you have any good characters, it’s hard to force yourself to invest into slightly worse units bc it’s like……… “but that’s so much money….TT”. And mind you, I’m used to grind in the gacha games, but for some reason I feel this game is ESPECIALLY grind-y??? Maybe bc in the other gacha games there are separate stages to grind resources like gold/exp/etc. Then again, I’m only at the beginning of the chapter 6, so maybe more stages for better grind will be open later?? Idk but at this point it’s like, excruciatingly grindy, and as I said, I play a lot of gacha and I’m used to grind.

I the biggest problem (excluding grind) is the story itself… I like the characters (honestly, after what you’ve said I was afraid that the vampire and the incubus characters will be annoying, but they are actually normal guys), but aside from characters, it’s just feels like there is SO many details are missing from the plot… like we are just told as a matter of fact that mc have spent several weeks in this new world and I’m like???? What??? How?? When??? Why not show at least a little bit of what he was doing? We are also told about the fact that Eiden and other characters actually DO something outside of the main plot, but we never see it? I mean, every chapter you have at least two “free”, as you call them, stages, that have no plot attached to them… why not put something fun there? Honestly I don’t try to bitch and whine, but every time characters are talking about something that doesn’t involve main plot I feel like we are missing out on a lot of stuff. I suppose you can get extra information by getting the character via gacha and then raising affection with them (which you need to do several times + with the “presents” that are not easily available for all the characters), but then again, the fact that you need to GET the character at first, is, well… you know… you know.

I also feel like some characters luck a little, because they are not given much time to show themselves. Like, sure, all of them get at least one chapter (each have at least several stages with plot), but the moment their chapter have come to an end, they are side-lined, which makes sense, I guess… then again, I suppose you need to pull the character to get to know them more.

And the other thing… the monetization in this one is just super over the top… there is like several types of PAID currency? I mean, you can get all of it via grind (I think?) but still it’s just wild for me that there is more than one currency that you can pay for + as far as I can tell the exchange ratio of this in-game currency to real life currency is really wack…

In general I like some elements of the game, like, you know, character designs (Quincy my beloved, Kuya my big gremlin bastard), I like mc, he is very cute and endearing I think, just the general vibe of the game is nice, but there is also a lot of things that are… off? I don’t know how to explain it, but in general, I wish I liked this game more than I do now.

Yeah the level pacing is real weird its probably there to encourage buying shit, I only got to the end of Quincys intro stage and I havent played since so... WHO KNOWS. But yeah the grind wasnt fun but I dont remember much about it anymore tbh.

The game not really delving into the bts of the MC is probably because again its a self-insert harem game so the MC needs to be pretty vague and the main pull for the series is just the sexy stuff so its not too surprising the story is pretty shallow.

Advice on How to Be a Straight A Student

Hey guys! So I got a señor anon question on how to be a straight A student and my response got a bit long, so here it is in a text post. 

Before I begin, I’d like to say I’m not an expert on this subject. This is just stuff that works for me.

So a little background information before I give some advice!

I’m a sophomore in University, majoring in nursing, minoring in Spanish. I graduated high school with a 3.73 GPA, and the problem was I figured out how to study best for myself the second semester of my senior year of high school! So, I got to college and was freaking out. At my university, the lowest excepted GPA to get into the Fall 2018 nursing program was a 3.83, which is INCREDIBLY high. Never in my life did I think I’d be able to get that GPA, since high school made me feel dumb. I was encouraged to take AP classes and I took too many, and while other kids succeeded, I fell behind. It made me feel incredibly incapable, yet, for money for my district, I was still encouraged to take more. Come Fall 2018, taking classes for pre-nursing to be able to apply into the program, I was a nervous wreck. I lacked self-confidence and I was praying for a 3.8 GPA, but I decided to make a promise to myself. My confidence wasn’t great enough to promise a 4.0 GPA for all my prereqs, but it was for the first semester just so I didn’t have to worry as much second semester about keeping my GPA high. Yet, against all my beliefs, I 4.0′d all my pre-nursing/pre-reqs classes, got into the Fall 2019 nursing program (I start September 4th), where usually 300 students apply, but only 72 are selected in the fall, 97 in the winter. I also received a 4.0 in a summer microbiology class that was originally 14-16 weeks long during the school year, but it was shortened into 6 weeks into the summer, made it onto the Dean’s List, and so much more. My new goal is to be one of And now, I’m going to tell you how I did it.

Here is what I wish someone would’ve told me when I started high school or college:

First things first, you HAVE to believe in yourself. This is VITAL.

If you walk into a class telling yourself you’re barely going to pass, chances are, you’re barely going to pass. You are your biggest enemy. Chemistry is a subject, it is not a person, it doesn’t decide whether or not you’re going to pass or fail. It’s literally a class, it holds absolutely NO power over you. It literally just exists. The only thing that holds power over you, is you. You decide your future, not Chemistry. When you say, “Oh I’m so bad at Chemistry, I’ll never pass.” Chemistry had absolutely nothing to do with it, it was ALL you. The class you hate and think you’re going to fail should be your favorite and top priority. Why? Because you’re going to have to spend the MOST time on it. If you cut yourself short by saying you’ll never pass right off the bat and ignore the class, the harsh reality is, you allowed yourself to fail. Stop telling yourself that you are unable to do things, then complain when you get bad scores. Chemistry is difficult, but nothing is impossible.

Find your best way to study, preferably before college rolls around.

For me, this is flashcards, but I don’t just use them for memorizing, I use them for connecting. I make questions that connect things from the chapter I’m in along with prior chapters. Here’s an example:

On a person in anatomical position, which bone in the forearm can be located more medial to the body?

This, is a great question. Not only am I asking location, but I’m referencing prior topics at the same time. Anatomical position is lying flat on your back with palms facing outward. Medial is something that is closer to the midline of the body. Both of which are terms learned in previous chapters. Knowing this, I would be lead to believe the answer is the ulna. Now, I have not only learned, but reviewed.

ASK QUESTIONS!

Listen guys, I’m blunt and a bit harsh, so here’s a reality check for you: I don’t care whether or not you are shy, extroverted, confident, not confident, whatever, there’s NO excuse to say you don’t understand a topic if you’re not willing to ask questions to gain more knowledge or better understand it. If you receive a bad grade in a class and never ask questions or try to better understand it, shame on you. Don’t blame your professor, don’t blame the class for being “too hard”, I don’t want to hear it. So, in this section, I’m going to tell you how to ask a good question and who to ask.

Who:

First, your professor/teacher obviously. Don’t be afraid, most professors don’t bite. They’re not going to get annoyed with you. Their job is literally to talk about what they love, for hours on end. Everyone’s favorite topic is themselves, their hobbies, anything that correlates around them. If you ask them a question deeper than the material provided, out of confusion, or just for further knowledge, chances are they’d LOVE to answer it for you! Bonus: the more questions you ask, the more they’ll know you, and the more they’ll be willing to help you, especially when you’re in a time of need. You don’t need to always ask questions during lecture/class, though it is preferable. If you’re shy or introverted, write down your questions on a sheet of paper, preferably with the slide you’re referencing, then ask after class.

Next, tutors! Most universities have a tutoring center, or if you’re in college, ask a counselor to find you one. If your professor is a bit intimidating for you, or flat out doesn’t want to answer questions, this is a GREAT idea! It’s much easier to talk to someone in your age range as well, so if you’re a super shy person, this might be a better option for you. Also, the tutors aren’t the experts of the subject, which plays in your favor. They know how to break the subject down into ways you’ll be able to understand, sometimes in better ways than your professor. 

Lastly, anyone that has taken the class before you. In nursing school, they recommend we make friends with someone that’s in the year above us and attach ourselves to them, which I plan on doing. They’ve experienced everything before you, so you’ll have the freshest advice. Which prof should I take? Ask them. Do I need to buy the book for this class? Hmm... they’ll know.

Good questions:

Connecting questions. When you link two topics together, preferably from another chapter, you’re learning in the BEST way possible. Ask the question. Your professor will love you, the class will love you, and you will love you, because more than likely, your professor will either: agree with the connection, disagree with the connection and tell you where you went wrong (still learning), and congratulate you on your good question. It’s a win-win situation.

another very important point: even if you are wrong in whatever you are asking, that does NOT make it a bad question. Good questions lead to learning, whether it is agreeing or disagreeing. Humility and humbleness are attractive qualities, and the willingness to do such is probably the best way to be successful. You have to be willing to be wrong to eventually learn and be right.

Any question where you are confused. You paying for a class is paying for your professor to talk. Use your money wisely. Hold up the damn class, get your answer. Learn and grow in your knowledge. Chances are, other people are confused too, and aren’t bold enough to ask.

Why? This might be the best question ever. Actually, I take that back, it is. One word asks fifty other questions and tells 100 more. Here’s what the professor gets out of “why” questions: I might not have explained the topic enough so I’m going to talk about it more, said student wants to know more about the topic, this is a learning opportunity for the class, etc.

One of the best ways I’ve found that I learn is by explaining things to other people. My friend Molly used to text me a lot during Biology and ask me if I knew what said thing meant or if I could explain said thing better. I always said yes, even if I didn’t know what the hell she was talking about. Why? Because obviously, I need to study it too, and what better way than to teach someone else.

The best way to look at information you don’t understand: If someone were to break this down for me, how would I want it to sound to best understand?

So, I’d break it down for her, and we’d both learn something new. Saying “no” would’ve lost me and her a learning opportunity. Also, we were competing for the same spot in the nursing program, but

Elaborative rehearsal

This is a term from psychology. I took this class after Biology, so I never realized this is what I was doing the whole year. Basically, elaborative rehearsal is memorizing information by connecting new information to old information, and it is the BEST way to memorize as I learned in class. This can come in many forms: making an analogy to learn a subject (to memorize transcription in Biology I made a story connecting transcription to pre-gaming and it worked so well), asking questions to connect new topics to prior topics, etc. Every time I break down a subject to better understand it, I try to connect it with something I know, whether it’s past information, pre-gaming, realizing a reason why something happens, anything, and I never forget it.

Get ahead of your professor (university students and AP students mostly).

The BEST thing I’ve ever done for myself would have to be being ahead of my professors by two and three chapters at a time! Here’s the tea: the busiest time of your semester in school should be the first month. Of course, your first month is the easiest, so you’re probably wondering, why should it be the busiest? Because come one month later, each class is going to start dropping exams, and you’re going to start falling behind. Get ahead early. I just bought my pathophysiology book (August 19th) and my classes don’t start until September 4th. This class is going to kick my ass, so my plan is to kick its ass by starting classes early. It’ll never see me coming.

It’s not just getting prepared for exams, but by even having the chapters prepared ahead of time for a lecture when your professor is lecturing, it’s no longer learning, but understanding. Instead of trying to pick up on everything the prof is saying, you’re being reminded of things noted in the book, things you remember, and also things you need further clarity on. Instead of reading the chapter after and having an “oh shit what does this mean?” moment, you can figure it out during lecture. Bonus: if your prof doesn’t lecture on it, ask for further clarity on the subject anyway. You might get lucky and be told not to worry about it. It may not be on the exam at all.

Take notes! (if they help you)

All the studyblrs are gonna hate me for this, but I really don’t take notes. I have a Microsoft Surface Book 2 laptop and the screen detaches from the keyboard so I write right on the PowerPoints my teachers have, then turn them into flashcards. Why? Because it’s like portable notes. For me personally, when I stopped wasting so much time on notes for Biology, I got higher test scores. Instead of writing notes, I spent the time going over my flashcards. And instead of taking notes on the chapters outside of class, I’d read them twice before class, highlight stuff, then make flashcards off the things not gone over in class. It worked better for me. Even in psychology, I’d highlight the things my prof went over on the PowerPoints, then make flashcards after class. For me, I function better by paying attention to what the prof is saying, rather than focusing on writing every word down.

But my question is many times when it comes to JM and JK people say everything's in their body language, especially Jungkook as he is so easy to read and can't really mask emotions, so what about their body language is special and different , and is their a consistency to it(esp.JK ) that we can come to a conclusion.

Thank you for your concern! I’m doing okay. Thank you for the lovely ask. I hope my other Anons will forgive me for answering yours before theirs but this topic has been on my mind recently so I want to address it while my thoughts are somewhat organized.

What I’ll talk about in this ask is one of the main, if not the main reason I believe that if there’s a person in BTS for whom JK might have feelings, that is Jimin.

To me KM are different in just about everything - body language, variety, consistency and magnitude of moments, skinship, members’ reactions. Since you mention Jungkook in particular, my answer will be focused on him. 

First: how Jungkook looks at Jimin

Jungkook have amazing, expressive, gorgeous eyes (my favorite thing about his appearance). They’re literally the windows to his soul. As an introverted and introspective person, he is not that big on words but he is an avid observer. He watches attentively, sometimes he stares or spaces out and his gaze can be quite intense. At times people are too quick to interpret his tendency to observe as something romantic or “being whipped”, which is not necessarily true, as he watches fondly all of his hyungs and his eyes are naturally very expressive.

The difference with Jimin is that Jungkook’s eyes(and camera, but that’s another story) are drawn to him as if to a magnet. Kook always makes sure to watch closely when it’s Jimin’s time in the spotlight - during speeches, interviews, games, concerts. If JM isn’t in his direct line of sight he will turn his head at 180, angle his whole body towards him or change positions entirely, just so that he has can see him. Whereas other people will be looking at the audience or the camera, Jungkook’s attention will be on Jimin. It will be on him even if Jimin is not the one talking, even when they’re in a room full of people. Instead of looking at the speaker, often JK will still be looking at Jimin and his reactions. His eyes seek and follow Jimin basically wherever or whenever they find themselves.

Then there’s the way Jungkook looks at JM: his eyes travel all over Jimin’s features and body - eyes, nose, lips, eyes again, as if memorizing his face for posterity. The expression that Kook has while gazing at Jimin is also one of a kind. He has the softest, most fond and dazed smile on his face, which I call  “The Jimin smile” because most often than not the reason behind it is JM. Especially when Jimin is smiling or laughing. I don’t think Jungkook knows how to look away from a smiling Jimin, to be honest, or that he even wants to.

In short, Jungkook looks at Jimin in the way everyone wants to be looked at - as if he’s savoring him and  never wants to look away.

Next: Satellite Jeon

This name isn’t a coincidence, the boy has earned it. If Jungkook is across the stage from Jimin, he will go all the way to the other side. If he’s at the other end from JM in the beginning of a Run episode, by the end of it he will be next to him. If Jimin is being slow, Jungkook will wait. He will literally move a member or shoo him away if he has to. If he is far away, he will get close and if he is close, he will move even closer. If he absolutely can’t move, he will at least turn his head or angle his body towards Jimin or follow him with his eyes.

Not that they can’t be away or sit apart but I think Jungkook finds great comfort from Jimin’s presence, especially in front of the cameras. Kookie can be very hyper and extra but mainly in front of his hyungs and in a comfortable setting. During interviews especially he can often be seen letting his hyungs lead the conversation, while he chimes in from time to time and comfortably ‘hides’ in the back the rest of the time, preferably next to or directly behind Jimin. In fact, I think he likes standing behind Jimin so much because he feels emotionally safe this way, while also taking a physically protective stance to Jimin.

It’s not just the way JK prefers to stay close to him that indicates the supportive role Jimin plays. Often during video messages Kook will be at the center with Jimin to his left and he will turn his head to JM when talking - Jimin provides him with positive feedback and reassurance.

Jimin is an emotionally mature person with a great EQ, so it’s no suprise he is a great source of comfort for Kook. This is probably while JK tends to follow him around and enjoys his company so much, together with their many shared interests and hobbies and general compatability, of course. 

3rd: Attentiveness

Kook doesn’t only know Jimin’s preferences and taste (do you know that Jimin likes sour things? do YOU? DO YOU?) but he also pays a lof of attention to him in general. After all how else will he be able to imitate perfectly everything JM does, even his solo choreographies? The boy is attentive as hell. He knew when Jimin needed help with fixing the net or setting up the karaoke in the last Run ep even before JM said a word and was very eager to help him. They definitely are very in tune with each other even with no words exchanged.

Kook knows when Jimin is stressed and exactly how to make him laugh, even if that means making a fool of himself in the process. He acts extra just to see him laugh and best believe he definitely pays attention to Jimin’s reaction. It’s like it’s his life goal to make his “Jiminie hyung” happy at least once a day and have some of his attention, in a positive way of course.

This can definitely be noticed in BTS Run. When KM are in different teams , they will act goofy and more hyper and when they’re paired together, they’re calmer and having a sort of silent communication. We can witness that especially clearly in the Festa Dinner, where we see a tipsy, giggly Jimin and a quiter Jungkook, pouring his hyung drinks and cutting the pizza for him. That leads back to my point that Jimin is an emotional anchor for Kook. JM is the more extroverted of the two and he knows Kookie very well, so both of them are content with him leading the conversation and turning the spotlight to JK at times, making sure he is heard and is receiving the appropriate amount of attention while also ensuring Jungkook is feeling comfortable and not pressured. A true dream team.

4th: Softness

Pretty much everyone and their mother has noticed by now that Jungkook is very gentle with Jimin, especially in comparison to his other hyungs. He may manhandle him from time to time but there’s no trace left of the child Jungkook who once pushed Jimin into a wall. Nowadays, JK is very soft in his physical handling of his “tiny hyung”. 

With another member he would show a more “aggressive” side, some (playful) punches or kicks, throw them in the pool or shove them aside during a game but with Jimin? No, no, no, sir. With JM he’s all gently “pushing him away” (while also caressing his waist and elbow and looking completely smitten), letting him first during games or giving him the pen he was just about to sign with, offering him his water bottle before drinking himself..

Even in SP 2017 when he was “dragging” JM to the pool, he was gentle. He could have pushed him or thrown him in but instead Kook just sort of held his leg and fought him playfully. It was the same when they were in the water when Jimin was on the unicorn. JK had tipped the float forwards and was splashing water at Jimin but he was still keeping the unicorn stable and making sure JM didn’t fall in.

Even the way KM talk to each other is soft -  in hushed, low, gentle, whispery voices, always in their own world. I’ve never heard Jungkook talk to anyone else with the same soft tone except for Jimin. I’ve also never heard him use the same voice as when calling “Jimin-ssi” or laying the aegyo so thick to recreate drama lines. KM don’t even have to touch and the air around them still feels different. Which bring me to my

Next point: Skinship

I’m on the opinion that skin ship is and never will be of the biggest importance to determine what and who is “real” or not. It’s a typical kpop thing, besides BTS in particular are very comfortable physically with each other, so it doesn’t really serve as much of an “evidence” when they hug or hold hands.

Kook in particular have never been an avid instigator of it. He definitely doesn’t mind it, as he is very comfortable with his hyungs but he doesn’t really initiate it that much either. He allows it most of the times with no problem (like Hobi kissing him on the neck or Tae patting his butt/ruffling his hair) and would do it himself when he wants to, especially when the situation calls for it (at the Japanese Musters) but he’s not naturally as touchy as Jimin, Tae or Hobi.

Furthermore, KM was never an excessively skin ship-y couple and the ship has never been strongly based on that. They’ve always been a different type of a couple, known for their “subtle” moments and not blatant skinship, even though they have plenty of awesome moments such as back hugs, neck grabs etc. Although they don’t seem “subtle” at all now and are turning more into the “how can we be any more annoyingly obvious” pair, skinship wasn’t and still isn’t the  most interesting or convincing thing about them  (at least to me).

That being said, I still find some things about their skinship and Kook’s reactions to it intriguing.

I’ve never seen JK as possessive as some people make him out to be but his reactions and behavior during Wings/BS&T era are interesting to me. We saw a lot of back hugs, wrist grabbing and tongue-in-cheek action then, that we don’t observe nowadays. I wouldn’t say he was “possessive” per se but he was sort of making a statement in late 2016/early 2017, which came from a place of some uncertainty, I think.

KM skinship now and then is very different, though. Now it lacks that sense of making a statement. They are still very comfortable with each other, borderline if I say so myself considering how Jungkook let JM finger his butt several time on stage and even smiled through it but now they’re more mindful, it seems. We know they’re inseparable backstage, we know of their antics on shows recording and airports but those things seem to happen when KM know they won’t be recorded. I don’t think they’re exactly hiding because we still see plenty of moments but they also don’t feel the need to be showy, too. As I said, they’re more mindful, careful. 

Which is interesting because if they really were a ploy to hide another couple in the group, surely they would have taken every opportunity to be touchy with each other, wouldn’t they? Doesn’t make much sense but then again that whole theory doesn’t make sense so..

I also find fascinating how Jungkook gets shy or flustered with Jimin. He said himself that he enjoys Jimin’s  shamelessness a lot but he also gets “hot and bothered” by it as well. He loses his words at times when Jimin really gazes at him with that look or when JM sings Serendipity to him or when Kook is looking at Jimin but gets caught and quickly turns his head. It doesn’t have to mean much but to me it’s cute how JK can get flustered by Jimin’s advances, yet he still enjoys them a lot. He doesn’t really act that way with other people. He also doesn’t act teasingly *cough flirts cough* with them as he does with Jimin. It’s a highly entertaining part of their dynamics for me.

I know someone might come at me now, saying how Jungkook has done this or that with someone else, which brings me to my next very big point -

Consistency

Sure, none of the things I mentioned are necessarily exclusive to KM. You can see Jungkook act in similar ways with someone that is not JM but it all comes down to the bigger picture at the end.

The majority of times Jungkook behaves in the ways I mentioned is towards Jimin and even though he may exhibit similar behavior with the other members, it’s not that often, consistent or focused or just one person.

He may gaze fondly at a member, be gentle with them, try to make them laugh or hug them but only with Jimin these things are a constant pattern in his behavior, a given.

This is not how he acts just from time to time; this is basically his whole behavior towards Jimin.

This is how Jungkook is with him almost all of the time (as far as we can tell from the sources he have). Everything I talk about you can clearly see in basically every interaction between them.

Other ships/pairs may have some of these puzzle pieces but *to me*, none of them have the whole picture Jimin and Jungkook have.

Apart from the consistency in behaviour and moments, there’s also the variety and magnitude of them.

Jimn and Jungkook’s interactions are all over the spectrum - from soft touches through playfulness, intense eye contact and teasing to similar interests and opinions and strong support. Their bond is very deep and their connection is multidimensional.

Some of their moments are also one of the biggest from any ship in Bangtan and what’s more, most of them have happened off-camera - the white suits slow dance back hug (whose origins are unknown to this day), off-schedule - the Tokyo trip, completely unprompted - “Let’s go baby”, their vlives and when no-one expected them - GCFt. 

The biggest things have happened off the stage and came from JK and JM themselves.

Jungkook really can’t hide but I also don’t think that he wants to at this point. Afterall, everything I described can be seen in Jungkook’s videos - his bias towards Jimin, his fondness, his love for Jimin’s laugh and smile and even his orbiting around him. An artist’s work is often a mirror for their emotions so it’s really not surprising. At this point we’re not talking about “analysing” JK’s behavior or making guesses, we’re talking facts here. 

What’s there to speculate about when he’s bared it all in his videos?

I don’t know what all of it means, that is for Jungkook (and possibly Jimin) to know but we can all agree this ain’t no ordinary ship we’re sailing on. It’s not even a luxury yacht to me anymore (that’s too weak of a word for it). It’s a whole damn aircraft carrier - strong and armed, seasoned through battles and damn ready to launch a surprise attack, on water and air. It’s a whole beast.

In conclusion:Jungkook loving Jimin is canon

Some anon recently said something about the 4th crusade, and well I've read more into it, and it's truly an embarassing event for crusaders. I think the very 1st catalyst that triggers the events was the lack of troops that answer the gathering crusaders in venice. What do you think the reason for these lack of troops? European monarchs were always at war with one another. That’s just sort of what they did. White people are nuts.

The lack of support was certainly a factor - it resulted in a disorganized effort and poor leadership. But the biggest problem, I think, was Venetian greed. The Doge saw an opportunity to use the Crusaders for his own gain - to enrich himself and bring down rivals like Zara and Constantinople.

When the Pope learned about what was happening, he sent letters demanding a stop to it and even excommunicated people. But the Crusade leaders hid this information and lied to their soldiers, pretending that they still had the church’s sanction. Had they told the truth, the Crusaders would have mostly dispersed.

It was a failure of leadership, motivated by greed and vengeance. Under different guidance, the situation might have been very different.

this has been sitting in my ask box for a looong time because it got lost;;; chances are you don’t even follow me anymore, anon, and i apologize that this got lost in the shuffle. i still want to answer it, though, so here i go: 

i’ll let you in on a secret, i’m insecure about all of my creative abilities. honestly, i think it just comes with the territory. the reason i keep going (writing and art wise) is that i feel compelled to tell stories and convey emotions in whatever way possible. i’ve been writing fiction since i was in 4th grade and most of it was never shared. so i guess what i’m trying to say is that it’s okay to feel insecure. i prefer creators that feel this way because i think it keeps them humble and gives them the opportunity to improve.

i can also assure you that while you may feel like your work is not as good as other writers, you have your own unique set of skills and strengths, and they have value! nobody can tell a story the way you can and someone will love the worlds you create. also, i’m not the biggest fan of the statement “write for yourself” but it’s ultimately true. write because you love the ideas you have and need to get them out. if you put genuine effort and love into them, i’m sure it will shine through to others!

who’s more protective?: Virgil. Hands down. But I don’t doubt for a second that if Virgil was in need of protecting, Gordon would jump right in there, because all the brothers look out for each other. :|b

what’s their origin?: Brothers :|b Gordon is directly Virgil’s younger brother and the one who made Virgil a big brother. :D Virgil was happy to become a big brother and wanted to be as good a one as Scott, but for awhile as kids they didn’t always get along, but that changed as they continued to get older. By time they were in their teens and their older brothers had gone off to pursue education and dreams, they got a lot closer.

how often do they fight?: One of the few times we’ve seen the boys argue, the main argument was between Virgil and Gordon. As well as they do seem to get along, it does seem likely they do butt heads on occasion.

what would their biggest fight be about?: I’m not sure as adults (though I’m sure they’ve had something), but I feel like as children they might have butted heads a lot more, given I headcanon Virgil was a much quieter child and Gordon seemed more likely to be a bit more energetic. I feel like their biggest, at least as children, would have been likely an accident, but something like something being spilled on a long spent artwork or something like that.

violent - Pretty sure Gordon would be more likely than Virg to throw a punch. affectionate - As mentioned with Scott, Virgil is definitely shown in the series so far as being the most physical affectionate… but I like to believe they’re more affectionate than the show has offered. That being said, I think Virgil is more likely to hug someone than Gordon.irritable - Oh… this is actually a bit tough. how would they react if the other were to die?: Devastated. Virgil loves his family and going through the pain of losing another family member would be tough to handle. Losing Gordon would be different from losing Scott, but no less devastating. If it happened on a rescue, it would especially eat Virgil up, as the older brother failing to protect his little brother–pilot failing to protect his co-pilot.

what extent would one half of the brotp go for the other?: Practically anything… as long as mostly legal. XD And he wouldn’t hesitate to risk his life for the other… for any of his family.

Originally I didn’t think of them sharing rooms as little kids before they moved from the states, but sorta changed my mind about that. Virgil didn’t mind mostly, but it was what led to a lot more conflict between the two. On the other hand, he kept an eye on his little brother and if something was upsetting him, Virgil was often the first to know.

Virgil loved building things with lego and other such construction toys, patiently spending a great deal of time making things–only to have a very excited to play with him little brother often either accidentally knocking or breaking things, or not so accidentally when the giant sea creature came to destroy the city. While he understood Gordon was younger and didn’t know better, it was a lot of frustration for Virgil and he hung around Scott a bit more because of things like this. Similar small incidents  befell his artwork a couple times too.

STILL, Virgil wanted to be an awesome big brother, and learned to play songs on the piano for his little, sea loving, brother. He learned songs like ‘Under the Sea’ ‘Octopus’s Garden’ and such.

When Scott finished school and went off to pursue his own life and dreams, Virgil spent a lot of time helping Gordon with his, supporting him when he started training for the Olympics. A headcanon a lovely friend with a Gordon muse passed by me that I still rather adore was that when he’d trained hard and had stiff shoulders and all that, Virgil had a knack for being able to rub the knots away.

Now that i re-watched the Wolfgang performance i need to say that i liked it a lot more, specially the second half gets me really hyped up. I think i was too harsh on the boys because i set the bar too high for them lol

It's still my least liked stage by them but even for this round i think i would put them in 4th place 🤔 (BtoB, Ateez and Ikon ate the stage for me ♡)

PD: one of the things i was more dissapointed was on Jisung not actually rapping the first half of his part and now i just realized that it wasn't only because he was busy doing that amazing stunt but because that part was meant to be Hyunjin's part and that gets me a little emotional tbh

i can def appreciate this stage more after the second watch too. it's still a lil too gimmicky for my tastes, but i can appreciate the dancing a bit more esp the first "wolf gang bork bork" part with minho in the center. now i think my biggest problem is the fucking camera work lol. but yeah i still don't think it's one of skz's best stages too. i think if they release a full cam version the stage will probably look better? hopefully lol
