Some elucidating facts and comments on the Daiva and Harem Inscriptions of Xerxes of Persia

"The trilingual inscription attributed to the Achaemenid king Xerxes (ruled in 486– 465 BC), commonly abbreviated as XPh and also known as the “Daiva inscription”, was discovered in Persepolis in 1935 in the course of the excavations funded by the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago and directed by Erich Schmitt 1 . The slabs with the text of the inscription were found in a rather unlikely location: two copies of its Old Persian version and its Babylonian version were found in Room 16 of the Garrison Quarters 2 . The four other slabs found next to them bore the text of another inscription of Xerxes, commonly abbreviated as XPf and also known as the “Harem inscription” 3 . Six of the seven slabs stood in an almost vertical position, while a row of three upright baked bricks stood parallel to some of those. The excavators quickly realized that the location and arrangement of inscriptional fnds precluded their meaningful display: as hypothesized in Schmidt 1953, 209: “the discarded royal records, as well as the bricks, had simply been used to face a bench or benches of mud”. As for the Elamite version of XPh, its fragments were found in Room 5 of the Garrison quarters, likewise in a secondary context. Furthermore, the excavations at Tall-i Takht in Pasargadae revealed an additional Old Persian version of the text under discussion, reused as a makeshift drain-cover 4.

Although the text of XPh is generally understandable at the linguistic level, its pragmatic content is arguably as obscure as the original location of the inscriptions. The usual set of formulae featuring the Achaemenid royal titles and the list of lands controlled by Хerxes are followed by the narrative part consisting of two episodes, which are apparently associated with two diferent lands. One of them is said to have been in commotion but was put by Xerxes in its place with the help of Auramazda, the turn of phrase that is compatible with an account of quenching a rebellion. Another land is presented as the place of worshiping the evil gods. The term daiva-, used by Xerxes with reference to these supernatural beings, represents a transparent Old Persian cognate of Avestan daēuua-, the designation of the evil gods in the Zoroastrian religion 5 . Xerxes remedied the situation by destroying the temples of evil gods (daivadāna-) and worshiping Auramazda in a proper way at the place of the destruction. The final part of the inscription contains an exhortation to future readers to worship Auramazda in a proper way."

Persepolis was excavated from 1931 through 1939 by Oriental Institute archaeologists Ernst Herzfeld and Erich Schmidt. The team documented the site in dramatic black-and-white views of the architecture and the rugged surrounding terrain. The photographs capture the forest of columns that tower over the site’s raised terrace, which supported grand ceremonial audience halls, palaces, great stone portals and carved scenes of the kings and their courtiers.

In the prior frame, we learn the Mishnah includes a set of Conditions for the onset for Mashiach ordained by Jesus Himself. The Holy Talmud was written around 500 CE. There are no other Jewish records or hints of a continuity between the two religions other than in Acts 2 which states during Pentecost that Jews should always lead Christianity in the establishing of pantheism, i.e. the spread of common knowledge about the Mysteries of the Spirit of Heaven. All of this can be found in the Torah and the Tanakh, within which are references to Buddhism, Vedanta and the gods of the ancient world, identifying them as instruments of the God Yah in the evolution of mankind.

The Values in Gematria for v. 12 and 13 explain. The Number is 8760, חזו‎‎אֶפֶס, xuefes, "the Ace of Silver, concealed right before your nose."

The Gematria says Jesus was the Ace of Silver because He was nice to everyone, and didn't care where they came from, what class they were, or what kind of work they did. This thinking appears very early in human history because of the appearance of the Jewish people, humanity's first civilization and we still flirt with the idea today. I had to create a new blog to bypass the age-restricted content tumblr had a few years back, and i had to think up an url on the spot so I went for an ~aesthetic~ thing... nothing very interesting here

Şimdi Türkiye gündemine BOMBA gibi düşen İlber Ortaylı’nın dahi işin içine bir açıklama yaparak girdiği Roman Kahramanları Festivali hakkında Sakarya Cemil Meriç Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi’nde 4 sene okumuş bir insan olarak söyleyeceklerim var. Başlıyorum. Öncelikle bu festival Sakarya CMSBL’ nin düzenlediği bir şey değil Şair Yazar Edebiyat Öğretmeni Ercan Yılmaz’ın düzenlediği bir şeydir. Neden bunu özellikle belirttin? Çünkü CML (biz öğrenciler okula böyle deriz) öğrencilerini gelişmesini entelektüel insanlar olmasını isteyen Bir lisedir evet kesinlikle AMA (çok önemli) yalnızca ve yalnızca onların istedikleri şekilde. İşte şimdi oldu. Örnek2: Arkadaşlarım cinsel yönelimleri yüzünden okul müdürünce mobbinge ve hatta fiziksel şiddete uğradı. Örnek3: bir grup kadın öğrenci (içimde ben de varım) bütün ama bütün öğrenim hayatları boyunca özel hayatları yüzünden (ailevi ilişkiler, kiminle ne yaptığı) ayrımcılığa uğradı ve slutshaminge uğradı. Okulun erkek öğrencileri tarafından “bakire olmayan kızlar” listesi adında bir şey bile düzenlendi. Burada bir sürü kadın arkadaşımızın ismi vardı. Bu listede yer alan kadınlar yalnızca ve yalnızca okulun o sağ kültürüne uymayan mükemmel derecede zeki eşsiz ve başarılı isimlerdi Şimdi bir daha bakıyorum da o listedeki bazı isimler ne yazık ki bu mobbinglere dayanamayıp ışıklarını söndürdüler. Örnek4: yıllarca bir çok tiyatroda, sempozyumlarda başarılı bir şekilde yer almama rağmen son senemde okul yönetimi tarafından okulun öğrenci profiline uymadığım öne sürülerek hiçbir hiçbir etkinlikte yer almama izin verilmedi. VE o sırada yaşımız 16-17 Evdeydim ve Yağmurun Gelmesini Bekliyordum adlı tiyatro oyununu (normalde 5 kadın oyuncudan oluşuyor) aylarca üzerinde çalışıp, İstanbul’daki tiyatrolarla iletişime geçerek metni en başından sonuna 17 YAŞINDA üç kadın oyuncuya dönüştürdük. Metni tamamen.Ve okul yönetimi bu oyunu sahnelememize izin vermedi. Senelerce mobbinge uğradım bir hiç uğruna. Bunu herkes çok iyi biliyor. Öğretmenlerden yanıma gelip bana yardım etmek istediğini, bu durumun çok korkunç ve iğrenç olduğunu ama yönetimden korktuğunu söyleyenler vardı. Ve tabii ki bu öğretmenler KADINLARDI. Şu an bunu okuyorsanız (kendilerini çok iyi biliyorlar) merak etmeyin hepinizi affettim. Patriyarkayla böyle savaşılır çünkü. Sen kimsin diye sorarsanız hadi birlikte bakalım, “entelektüel” miyim zeki miyim ben neyim? 17 yaşımda Dergâh Dergisi’nde 18 yaşımda Varlık Dergisi’nde şiirlerim yayımlandı. Bu dergilerin dışında Eliz Edebiyat, Lahitteki Baykuş, Petroleus dergileri’nde hala şiir yayımlıyorum. Arkadaş Z. Özger Şiir Ödülü’ nde ismim anıldı, Yaşar Nabi Nayır Gençlik Ödülleri’nde 209 dosyanın içinden son elemeye kadar geldim ve jüri dosyamı tartışmaya açtı. Ege Üniversitesi’ni kazandım ve ardından Amerika’ya taşındım. (Hayır ailem zengin filan değil, kendim çalıştığım şirket grubu tarafından Amerika’ya yollandım) Şu anda Amerika’ da yaşıyorum ve İngilizce şiirler yazıyorum, (çevirmiyorum, yazıyorum).

Bütün bu tartışmalarda beni deli gibi rahatsız eden şey şudur: Roman Kahramanları Festivali Sakarya Cemil Meriç Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi ve onların kokuşmuş yönetiminin başarısı DEĞİL hem benim için hem de Türkiye için çok değerli bir isim olan ERCAN YILMAZ’ın başarısıdır. Ercan Yılmaz bu hayatta tanıdığım en değerli insanlardan birisidir. Hocam bunları yazdığım için umarım kızmazsınız bana ama beni çok iyi tanıyorsunuz aklımda ne varsa söyleyen birisiyim işte hiç de susmam. Hadi bakalım okuyup okuyup hatırlayın o günleri şimdi açıkça saldırdığım insanlar. Elinizi vicdanınıza koyup da gelin bana. Hiç diyebilecek misiniz ki mutlu Merve yalan konuşuyor? Bir ekleme yapalım: CML 5 senelik bir okul neden 4 sene okudum? SON SENEMDE devamsızlığım öne sürülerek sınıfta bırakıldım. Okul tarihinde bir ilk (ama bir dakika neydi? efsaneler tarih yazardı, neyse) sonrasında öğretmenler birliği toplanmış ve şöyle bir karar vermiş. Merve’nin okuldan gitmesi şartıyla onu sınıftan geçiririz. Hangi öğretmenler kurulu bu? Bütün öğretmenlerle konuştum HİÇBİRİNİN HABERİ YOKTU BUNDAN. ŞOK GEÇİRDİLER. Yalnızca yönetim toplanmış ve bana bu tefeci teklifiyle geldi. Ve bu dönemde Maddi olarak zor bir durumda olduğumu asla ama asla ailemin bir dershane ücretini karşılayamayacak durumda olduğunu öyle iyi biliyorlardı ki. Sırf bu durum yüzünden 460 puanla girdiğim liseden AÇIK LİSE’ye geçip bir yandan çalışıp bir yandan dershane paramı kendim ödemek Zorunda bırakıldım. Sonrasında Sakarya’daki terapistime ulaşıp günah çıkarmak isteyenler olmuş o bana öyle söyledi. Bu kadar acımasızlıktan sonra bir anlamı var mı? Ben sadece teşekkür eder bi yana çekilirim. Okulda devlet tarafından ücretsiz bir şekilde sağlanan üniversite hazırlık kursundan dahi yararlanmama izin verilmedi ve kendi beynimle kazanarak girdiğim okul bu.
