I'm sorry, I can't deal with the svsss anime 3d style, I can't take it even slightly seriously lmaoooo. It looks so hideous next to the gorgeous 2d mdzs and tgcf, with their flowing robes and ribbons and exquisite lighting and stunning effects. I just, I know it's a parody comedy that isn't as polished as her next two books, but mxtx please, you're letting your first born down ToT.

The fact that this fandom is going strong even on the other side of the world nearly a decade later, too. Like. Bingqiu deserves to look slightly decent compared to the other two but if we can't have that could we at least have that second season :'). I'm sure people would be more drawn to it if it didn't look so much like boneless plastic dolls in cosplay.

two very good friends of mine got married this week, and this was my present to them: a pair of custom amiibo! I especially like the interlocking bases that make sure they're always looking at each other <3

these are the crisp renders of the models to show them off in their intended level of detail, the physical 3D-printed versions are under the cut to keep the post length reasonable.

and here are the prints that my friends received! they're a little rough around the edges, but my coworker did his best with his home printer and I did my best with what I had (one afternoon and a dull scalpel) and I think it gives them a certain charm?

I understand why it happens, but I think sometimes developers need to be sat down and be told that the art you use to advertise your game should look like your game, because I would've completely missed out on a really cool action game if I had judged this by its thumbnail.

I can see what they did with the color palette in that art, but "Neo Geo Pocket Color characters on beautifully dithered environments" does not come across in that picture. And, in addition to looking incredible, it's a really cool concept for a game that (based on the Steam demo) plays really well: you are an old badass samurai who renounced violence and the entire game is based around disarming your enemies.

Happy 56th anniversary of the observation of pulsars!

On 28 November 1967, while a postgraduate student at Cambridge, Bell Burnell detected a "bit of scruff" on her chart-recorder papers that tracked across the sky with the stars. The signal had been visible in data taken in August, but as the papers had to be checked by hand, it took her three months to find it.[25] She established that the signal was pulsing with great regularity, at a rate of about one pulse every one and a third seconds. Temporarily dubbed "Little Green Man 1" (LGM-1) the source (now known as PSR B1919+21) was identified after several years as a rapidly rotating neutron star.

I had to turn anonymous asks off because people are starting to send me more aggressive messages (death wishes, telling me my art sucks, saying I should quit art, etc.) which is........ something I’ve never had to deal with before, but it is what it is :/

HOWEVER, in more positive news I calculated the final donation amount from the Club Q fundraiser last month, and with the last round of donations from ‘The World Has Been Changed’ sales sent out, the total amount raised is $320!!!!!

$88 of that was purely what I got in sales from the World artwork last month, so thank you all so much for helping and supporting this cause. 🙏 it means so much to me that I (and Kevin Ang!) were able to use art to give back in this way 💖

yeah that post made me think. commissions as my only source of income is rough. its fun, yeah! but the inconsistent and frankly Low income of it all gets..very stressful and tiring

i only know of two conventions around here and they dont happen for a while and theres no guarantee i can get into the artist alley, let alone afford more stock to sell at said cons. other than that i dont know of really Anything art related around locally like craft fairs or galleries. so im not sure if i can really break into that scene around here ??

if theres a way for me to make money with my art that doesnt involve killing myself with commissions or trying to break into an industry that doesnt want me then i am Open To Suggestions
