There Is A Hole In Your Chest - 36 Word RPG
There is a Hole in your Chest and it Swallows every thing.
This is a game about loss, grief, anxiety, dysphoria, depression, dysmorphia, and every other part of you that guts you with a gnawing, aching void, something that feels like it will never go away.
It can also be about having an horrifying chest-mouth.
Here is my entry for the 36 Word RPG Game Jam!

You have synesthesia?? How does that work for you? Is this how you manage to use the word “meat” in a way that makes me go “holy shit that’s good and cool i need to read that sentence four more times” instead of “ew”?????
I do!!! Letters, numbers, and words all have colours and sometimes visual textures for me-- and while numbers and letters on their own are generally only a single colour (7 is a bright, grassy green!!! while "K" is a pale peachy pink, for example :] ), when i put them into words they often take on entirely new colours, some of which even bleed into each other like watercolour paints. Ironically, its why i use the UK spelling of "colour" in the first place-- the "u" turns what looks like a dull, desaturated blue into a smeared blue-and-purple that i find really pretty to look at :]] so when i say i like to paint with words, i kinda mean that literally 😂😂😂😂😂
But yeah, i'd imagine thats why my writing is Like That™ to some degree-- a lot of what im doing behind the scenes involves matching the colours and visual textures of a given word with all of the others in order to evoke a particular vibe or image in my writing. There are a lot of layers to how i write, but this is probably the one that takes both the most time AND is the one i happen to talk about the least WKDJWKSJEJ

Matthew 26:36-46 (NIV). [36] “Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” [37] He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. [38] Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” [39] Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” [40] Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. [41] “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” [42] He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” [43] When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. [44] So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing. [45] Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. [46] Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”
“Understanding Jesus’ Sacrifice” by In Touch Ministries:
“In order to give us His righteousness, the perfect Savior willingly chose to bear the consequences of our sin.”
“In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus repeatedly prayed that “this cup” would pass from Him (Matt. 26:39-44). Christ was staring into a cup of wrath, sin, and judgment that must have made His soul recoil (Isaiah 51:17). According to Scripture, Jesus didn’t just die for our sin; He became our sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). The holy, perfect Lamb of God took on Himself all that was vile and dark—and He understood the consequences of taking on our sin.
Jesus had always enjoyed perfect oneness with the Father. But God’s holiness was incompatible with the presence of sin, which is why Jesus felt “forsaken” on the cross (Matthew 27:46). There was never any question about whether He’d obey His Father’s will—the Son would become sin and experience the punishment for it if that’s what was required to save us. So, yes, in the garden, He pleaded for another route to our redemption. However, when the Father made clear there was no other way, Jesus obediently—and lovingly—gave Himself up for humanity.
Jesus Christ sacrificed more than His life. He exchanged perfection for punishment. Our Savior did this so we could be transformed into righteous men and women with an eternal future. No wonder all of heaven exalts Him. And we should as well!”

at least once a week during this b5 spiral i’ll have a realization of something that kicks me in the chest and i start a tumblr post like “do you every think about—” and then i stick it in drafts thinking no, i should write it as a fanfic so i can really share my pain with the group. and then i don’t write that, and think well, at least a better tumblr post, and then i don’t write that either and just stare into the abyss for two to thirty-six hours

Playing a Temple devout Dunmer in Morrowind is so interesting because I've convinced myself that in order to properly play this character I must do things as she would do them. And so, doing the Temple quests while ignoring the main questline isn't enough. I need to carefully read every book I find that is at all related to the Temple or the Tribunal.
Fast forward to my character's first time in Balmora. I go upstairs to officially join the Temple. I go over to the library and read the books carefully. I get to Vivec's 36 lessons or whatever. I open one of the lessons. I read it carefully. I close it and go, "what the fuck."

The princess' emotional dependence on her servants indicates psychological bonds of a more intense nature than those between Mary and her servants. Where Mary could practically shrug off the incarceration of her most trusted household officer, Sir Robert Rochester, Elizabeth constantly sought the comfort and strength of her gentlemen ushers and Privy Chamber ladies—at least according to the depictions offered by Foxe and Bedingfield. This intense bond found further expression in the refusal of her household staff to abandon the princess, even when they were forbidden to serve in her household.
