Day 9 : Favorite Generation of Miracles

Midorima Shintarō 💚🐸

Choosing a favorite member of The Generation of Miracles was really tough for me. Though, in the end, I realised that it just must be Shintarō.

Ever since his first appearance, I thought this guy is a weirdo. Horoscopes, taped fingers, lucky items, blood-types, funny speech, this guy was so strange, I was very curious about what kind of a player and person he was and simply couldn't wait for Taiga and Tetsuya to face him and his team! When that time finally came, he really pissed me off. I thought he was way too confident and selfish, I hated that. He was also really boring to me as a player, just waiting for the ball to be passed to him so he can shoot. Yes, shooting a heavy ball like that and never missing was impressive, but it was also kinda annoying, because it seemed like the only thing he could do. I didn't think of him so highly anymore and I wasn't really curious about him...

Then the episodes where Seirin and Shūtoku ended up on the same campus came. This guy voluntarily shared something very important with Taiga, he shared tips on how he could improve. He just shared something like that with a person who beat him in a basketball match. Out of blue. Well, I started seeing hints of him becoming less and less selfish, and I was living for it. I was into him yet again!

Then, the second match between Shūtoku and Seirin came, and this boy was almost the same as the first time. I expected him to pass the ball once, maybe, and so I was a little disappointed when he didn't do that. But he didn't totally disappoint me because he ran and blocked Taiga and even dribbled the ball. He also had more determination and wasn't overly confident and cocky like the first time he faced Seirin. I was waiting for his improvement still... There just had to be more.

Season 3 came and Rakuzan was getting introduced, and oh boy, it was Shūtoku they were going against. Well, I knew Shūtoku was just going to be a toy used to showcase how powerful Rakuzan is, and so I expected them to lose. Finally, Shintarō changed. He wasn't playing alone anymore. When he said it in the locker room, 'Let me pass the ball', I felt like a proud mother. He finally decided to trust his teammates. When I saw how much he trusted Kazunari, I just couldn't help it, I felt so happy and proud of him! In that match, he did so much, he got out of his comfort zone so many times and we saw him do so much! He was dribbling, passing, blocking, he was shooting the ball in the coolest way possible (Sky Direct 3 Pointer), he even helped his fellow Senpai show off by passing him the ball and giving him an opportunity for an epic dunk, to prove the haters wrong. He was doing all of this because he wanted to achieve victory. Not just for himself, he wanted to do it with his team, his friends. That match was the first time I wanted Shūtoku to win. I really wanted them to win and I was rooting for them deeply. But, of course, they didn't. When Shūtoku lost, I actually cried. When he and Kazunari started crying, I had to pause the episode to cry more and I needed quite some time to recollect myself and continue.

Midorima Shintarō is an incredible character and writing this, I realised his development was one of my favorite things in this entire show. And he is a weirdo in the best way possible. 💚

You got invited to the SIDEMEN Tinder In Real Life youtube video. You are acutely aware to what the Sidemen are and you've seen their videos before. Now to be fair, the genres between your channel and their channels were pretty different. The Sidemen were known for football challenges, those 100$ vs 100,000$ challenges and other things with a similar vibe. You on the other hand, you did vlogs, lifestyle hack and tips, in your time you've achieved some disstracks and occasionally broke down some formula 1 grand prix weekend.

The moment you saw the instagram dm from the Sidemen official account you weren't sure how to react. Should you be excited? scared? worried? yeah.. all. It was the Sidemen, Logan Paul, Mike and George (idk who Mike and George but who cares).

Eventually you accepted the offer and waited till the day you had to be "picked up" by kinda random men for 5 minutes straight. The day came, you got dressed for the video shoot, they made you wait with the other girls until they called your name and then you walked in.

Ok so the answer is I wasn't at all. There's days where I'd rush 3 or 4 previous prompts in a row and most of them were inane scribblings you can barely make out bc i rushed all of it. It's a wonder I finished it in time but yeah school was still strangling me and it's plenty clear

Jake:

November 1st -

"Hey Jake do you know about NNN?"

"Yes why?"

"Are you doing it this year?"

"Bold of you to assume I'm participating in such sins..."

"It's a challenge... for men... you know?"

He gives you a knowing look, he knows exactly what you mean, he's not stupid. "I know, mi amor. And you know what? Fuck it, I'm accepting it."

You chuckled. "Really?"

Jake shrugs. "You know I'm very patient?"

You would think he just uses Marc or Steven for relief but Jake could actually do it. You know Jake isn't lying, and his patience really shows off during november. But expect him to get you back as soon as it's december 1st.

December 1st -

"Mi amor!" Jake almost sing sang. "Stupid challenge is over! I won! Now my reward?"

Marc:

"Hey Marc, you doing NNN this year?"

Marc almost choked on his own spit. "What?!"

"No Nut Nov–" he cut you off before you could finish it.

"Uh I know that, why do you ask?"

You shrug. "Just asking if you're doing it. You up for that challenge?"

"You're asking me to do the impossible?" he gives you an exhausted look.

"That's why it's a challenge, Marc. Did you forget about it yesterday?" you laughed.

"That's one month. One. Month." he says, running a hand through his face.

"Yeah that's 30 days. 30 days." you pointed out.

Marc gave you a look. "Couldn't you have told me about it yesterday??" he asks.

You furrowed your brows. "But yesterday was October 31st, why–" you stopped mid-sentence, realizing what he meant. "You can't be for real..."

Marc grinned wickedly at you. "I could have prepared myself."

Your jaw went slack. "There's no way you could have prepared yourself for 30 days without."

"I could have tried. Now this month is going to be such a torture for me." he sighed.

"Not for your balls?"

Marc raised an eyebrow and scowled at you. He opened his mouth to speak but couldn't come up with something, he just threw himself back against the couch, looking like he's questioning his existence.

Marc is definitely not a fan of No Nut November, acting like he's having an existential crisis going on, and you should expect him going feral as soon as the clock hits midnight on november 30th.

December 1st -

You heard the front door open, acompanied by his voice.

"Honeeyy, where are youuu? It's december!"

Steven:

"Steven," you smiled, sitting down next to him on the couch, who was eating a bowl of cereal "you know it's november now, right?"

He put the spoon down. "Yeah, why're you askin'?"

"Are you going to do the NNN challenge?"

Steven looked at you, confusion written all over him. "Wot?"

"No Nut November." you explained.

He frowned but he tried to hide the smile threatening to show. "Wow, what?"

You grin. "A challenge."

"And what is the challenge?" he asked, getting curious.

"It's in the name. Basically a challenge for guys not to, well... nut."

Steven had to hold back his laughter. "Yeah I'm not doin' it, forget it."

You raised an eyebrow. "It's only 30 days."

"Do you actually think some guys wouldn't just wank off behind the back? Seriously."

You wanted to argue but couldn't. "You can try?"

"Not happenin' love."

"So you're confessing you're too horny?"

Steven's eyebrows shot up. "Excuse me? Aight, fine, I'll do it."

You smiled, proud of yourself. "There you go. Maybe it won't be that hard for you."

Steven shot a dirty smile. "Whoa, hey, I catched your pun."

December 1st -

Steven knocked gently on your door. "Love? You hear me? November is over, can we get goin' again? I've got a big problem..."

30 days of fluff challenge: day eighteen

"pillow forts"

Evan settles inside the dome under the sheet, leaning back into Tommy’s arms before Jee crawls over his chest, laying down in the wedge created between their two bodies. 

“Ready?” Tommy asks.

“Yah!” Jee cheers. 

Tommy reaches over and turns on the skylight, and the fort lights up with stars , spinning across the sheet. Jee cheers happily and starts to clap. 

Evan nuzzles up against his jaw, which makes Tommy turn and look down at him. 

“This was a good idea,” Evan murmurs to him. Tommy glances down as Jee points at different stars, babbling mostly to herself about the lights. His gaze shifts back up to Evan and he smiles at him. 

“I can be kid-friendly,” he states, a smile still playing on his face. “When I’m not still trying to be a kid myself.” 

“Yeah, a kid inside a hundred-thousand-dollar toy,” Evan teases, brushing his nose up against Tommy’s. Tommy tilts down into him, grazing his lips over Evan’s. 

“Unca Evie!” Jee squeals, turning in the space between their legs and crawling up his chest. He turns away from Tommy and smiles at Jee. 

“What’s up, Jee?” He asks. She points at a star on the sheet. His eyes go wide and he smiles wider. “Wow.” 

Jee moves then, crawling half over his chest and putting a hand on Tommy’s chest. 

“Look, Unca Tommy,” she cheers, pointing at another star. “And the moon too.” 

Tommy grins at her, points at the same spot. 

“You’re so smart, Jee-Yun,” he tells her. She crawls off of Evan and onto Tommy’s—admittedly broader—chest, lays back down face up. 

“Wow,” she whispers, wonder clear in her voice. 

“Are you sure,” Evan asks, looking back up at him again with Jee distracted once more. Tommy looks down at him again. 

“About kids,” he asks. Evan nods. Tommy lets out a soft laugh. 

“I mean I hope so,” he replies. “Kameron’s already pregnant.” 

Jee grabs Tommy’s hand and lifts one of them, pointing his index finger at different spots as she keeps talking. Evan turns his head in the space where Tommy’s other arm is wrapped around him and kisses his bicep as he laces their fingers together. He’s so used to people leaving, that even now, almost a year and a half in, he has to remind himself that Tommy has never left; if anything, he’s continued to show up and make strides with him, no matter what hurdle Evan is trying to leap over. Meeting the family after half a failed date? Sure. Saying ‘I love you’ two months in? Who cares. Getting engaged in under a year and married six weeks later when the lease on the loft wasn’t even up yet? Absolutely. Deciding to have a baby less than three months after that because they’re not getting any younger? Tommy never wavered once, not even on the subject of kids. It was hard sometimes for him to stop trying to find justifications for why Tommy stuck around, at least until they’d gotten married. But even then, Evan managed to tell himself that it was the honeymoon phase of it all, that one day Tommy would wake up and see all the reasons everyone else had ever abandoned him. It didn’t matter that Tommy had lived a life of his own filled with loss and loneliness. Evan’s struggle was in facing the version of his life that meant someone didn’t just love him enough to stay, but enough to hold his boundaries and be in his corner, no matter what. He’s doing a lot better contending with all of it these days, but it’s still a process. 

“Jee, are you excited to have a cousin,” Tommy whispers to her loud enough that Evan can hear him, drawing him out of his thoughts. 

“Yeah, but I want sisser,” she replies. Tommy and Evan exchange a grin and chuckle. 

“You’ll have to get your parents on that one,” Evan tells her. “But in the meantime, maybe a cousin can help.”

You kept insisting you wanted to help him, your face beet red while you tried to explain that it wasn't because you were worried about his health...

Not at all!!

You were just bored and had nothing to do, so why not lend a hand, right? Right??

Sure...

He let out a quiet laugh and patted your head, then asked you to bring him a few tools.

And he surely wasn't going to comment on how your face lit up when he finally accepted your help.

Haizono Sho

It was, probably, 5am.

Sho decided to start pre-preparing a few of the things he needed for his food truck since it was actually very successful!

He worked alone and wanted to keep it that way, but it was almost becoming too overwhelming.

It was after he finished washing and drying all his kitchen tools that he heard the sound of steps coming towards his truck's way.

He looked at the clock: 5:30 AM. Who the hell was awake so early?

He peeked outside and was met with your flushed face as you were jogging fast and waving.

Sho quirked an eyebrow and wondered why the hell were you RUNNING so early in the morning...

And apparently, you were running for a while too, sweat dripping heavily from your face.

He was dumbfounded when you told him that you have a habit of running super early in the morning every day.

You happily offered to assist him with his kitchen, and, in normal conditions, Sho would eagerly accept your help.

You were the one who convinced him to go for his business after all!

At that moment, he had to turn you down though...

Please go take a shower first, and then you can help.

All that sweat could be a health hazard!

Kurosagi Leo

Leo was dragging you to an arcade.

He had the brilliant idea of an arcade date livestream, and he was still using you as his fake s/o, so...

The live comments were eating it up, calling you two adorable, asking you two to go to this or that attraction.

One of the comments caught Leo's eyes, though.

Someone asked him to test his strength against yours.

Leo smirked, knowing all too well that his ghoul strength could probably wipe you out.

But he accepted the "challenge" anyway.

He decided to hold back a lot in order to avoid humiliating you too much.

Just a little bit was enough.

To his surprise, though, as soon as you positioned yourself to punch, you hit the bag with a loud BANG!

Cocktail Dates Mason Mount Word Count: 559 The last few months had been weird for the both of you, moving to Manchester was supposed to be a new chapter for the pair of you. But it didn't seem that way, Mason was finally getting back to full fitness which was something you had been waiting on for ages.

"Are you okay? I thought I heard you talking to someone" you asked him. "Oh I was, I was talking to my agent. He says that I should be allowed to resume to full training soon and we were just discussing stuff. Anyway, forgetting that I want you to go and get ready and we have a date night" Mason suggested. "That's great about being back in training soon, yes I am always up for date night. I'll go and get changed and make myself look a little more presentable" you grinned, looking down at your messy clothes. After a short while, makeup was freshly painted on and hair curled. Fresh clothes on and you were ready. "Ready" you shouted as you entered the room. "Wow, you look beautiful" Mason complimented you as he grabbed your hand. "Thank you so much Mase, come on let's go" you gabbed your bag before heading off in a taxi. "So where are we going?" you asked as you drove into Manchester. "Taking you on a cocktail date, seeing as I have the evening and tomorrow off I thought I would take you here. I saw it when I was having a meeting with my agent and I was like you'd love it when I saw it" he smiled as he tried to search for your hand. "Aww that is cute, you are always thinking of me" you giggled as the taxi stopped as you arrived at your destination. "Here we are, this is for our cocktail date" he smiled as he pulled the door for you. "Such a gentleman, thank you" you smiled as you walked through. You sat down at the table as you looked at the menu. "I really fancy a frozen margarita" you asked as you looked through the whole of the menu, going backwards and forwards on what you wanted. "I think I will have a strawberry daiquri please" he asked the waiter as you pulled his hands from him. "I like this place, it seems super relaxing and it feels like it has been years since we have been on a date" squeezing his hand tightly as the waiter handed you the drinks. "Thank you" you smiled as you took a sip of your margarita as you shivered with how cold it was. "Oh my god, that was cold. Fuck" you laughed as you felt the ice burning the back of your throat. "Let me sip it" he asked as he sipped it. "Oh wow that is cold, wanna try mine?" he asked as he pushed the glass towards you. "Ooh I love that one" you smiled as you spent the rest of the evening talking. "This feels so good, like old times. I miss us" you smiled as you reached again for his hand. "Me too, it feels great" you told him. "It does, I am very happy here and hopefully I will be able to train soon and it can make things a lot better" Mason told you as he sipped on your cocktail.
