For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: but we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

Yesterday
2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV I received a text which was sent to start an argument but I used God’s word as my weapon 🔱 and shut down the enemy real quick. Today I challenge you to do the same. When we respond with God’s word every time that happens we will win not only win but being obedient to Christ. Know when you are fighting against the devil’s schemes. Our struggle isn’t against flesh and…

1Tim.5:8 But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
Providing for ones own is not stealing, or being lawless cheating others out of their right to an honest living. That is what unbelievers do, but not all them so where does that put a person boasting as being a Christian?
Educating a nation in the ways of corrupt government is denying our
own and “especially” future generations, faith isn’t a tattoo, a T-shirt or a logo it is the power of Christ Jesus eternal life living through us.
2Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.

Daily Meditations And Affirmations - October 6, 2024
We are saved by grace through faith, and not of works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) But after we are born again we are to ask, knock, and seek (Matthew 7:7) until we understand and implement God’s purpose for our life to do the good works God ordained us to walk- in here on earth. (Ephesians 2:10)
At the judgment seat of Christ we will receive rewards for the good things done while we (our spirits) lived in our bodies. (1 Corinthians 3:12-16, 2Corinthians 5:10)
Revelation 22:12 - "Behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done."
You cannot see your selfishness. Selfishness feeds on the subtle poison of an apparent generosity in always sacrificing for others. God will force your unrenewed mind to cry out loud and come out in the open. God lets you see who you really worship: yourself.
Romans 12:2 - "be transformed by the renewing of your mind…"
Affirmations:
I begin each day with joyful expectation watching what He will do through me. I am ministering out of the glory of His presence.
I always receive from God because I have faith and do not doubt. (Matthew 21:21,22)
I am moving from glory to glory as I bear fruit that remains for His advancing Kingdom through my Christ calling.

Experience The Glory Of God
Tumblr media
The Lord wants everyone to come to Him. Therefore, the Apostle Paul told us we can each experience the glory of God. The first thing that happens is we get rid of the veil. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 2 Corinthians 3:16 What exactly is the veil, where did it come from, and why do we have one? We must go back to the Book of Exodus, which first mentioned it. In Exodus 34, we can read about when Moses spent time with God on Mount Sinai. He remained on the mountain with the Lord for forty days and forty nights. The Lord wrote the terms of the covenant, the Ten Commandments, on the stone tablets. When Moses returned to the camp, the people noticed something different about his appearance. When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn't aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord. Exodus 34:29 Moses didn't realize that his experience with God caused God's glory to illuminate from him. Paul mentioned that what Moses held in his hands, the law, began with the glory of God. The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses' face. 2 Corinthians 3:7
What does the Veil Mean to Us?
Now, about the veil. Because of the radiance shining from the face of Moses, the people were afraid to go near him. So they covered his face with a veil unless he spoke to them. He would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face. So he would put the veil over his face until he returned to speak with the Lord. Exodus 34:34-35 So they put a veil over his face to blot out the glory of the Lord. Paul, a staunch student of the law, took a new position concerning it after he met Jesus. Shouldn't we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? 2 Corinthians 3:8 Then, the apostle compared the old way of the law and the new way. The way in which Christ made available to all who call upon Him. If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God! In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new way. 2 Corinthians 3:9-10

No One Can Experience the Glory of God Through the Law
Anyone not under the grace of the New Testament will find themselves under the law. As glorious as the law was, those living under it are veiled and will not experience the glory of God Paul said that Moses wore the veil to cover the glory of God. People today wear the veil of the law because of their hardened minds. But the people's minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:14 Only Jesus can remove the veil and free us from the bondage of the law. Therefore, only by believing in Christ can anyone experience the glory of God. And according to our verse for today, the veil is taken away whenever someone turns to the Lord. It's like Jesus removes the blinders and breaks our shackles of bondage. So, we've answered the three questions from the top about the veil. When Jesus comes into our lives, He not only removes the veil, but we also receive His Spirit. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17 When Jesus removed the veil, He also freed us from all bondage.
Tumblr media
You Can Experience of the Glory of God
Paul ended this chapter by giving us some great news. Now, through Jesus, all people can experience the glory of God. He Made it possible to reflect it in everything we do. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18 How can we be sure that Jesus removed the veil when we accepted Him? We can know that we know because He gave us a wonderful illustration when He died on the cross. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain (or veil) into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts, fully trusting him. Hebrews 10:20-22 Oh God, we want to experience your glory every day. Then, as it illuminates from us, others will be drawn to you. Estimations show there are more than 200 Christian denominations in the U.S. and a staggering 45,000 globally. If we all read from the same book (The Bible) then why does Christianity have so many denominations? There is in no way we can serve the same God and still have over 45,000 denominations, this is considered not being on one accord.
Many people are unaware of the fact that Satan uses a game called three-card monte – also known as find the lady and three-card trick. The game is simple: the con artist mixes three playing cards face down on a table. The player has to guess which of the three cards is the odd one out. If they succeed, they double their money. Fail, and the money is gone.
Now with Satan being the con artist mixes 45,000 denominations face down and is asking you to find God now. This is why it is so important to read the Bible for yourself and have the Holy Spirit guide you into all righteousness. Satan is working his hardest to try and make sure you lose. Satan can throw every obstacle and deceitful person such as a family member, friend, or even your own pastor in your direction to have you thrown off course. The Bible says to “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves...” 2Corinthians 13:5. Because there is truly only one lord, one faith, one baptism. “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” Philippians 2:2.

This world is not your home.
You’re going to feel distressed, unstable and anxious if you continuously try to find contentment, inclusion and validation within a world that is prone to reject you.
Share the Gospel, be a witness, shine the light of Jesus. Your true residence is found within His eternal Kingdom—not the one here that is perishing.
•Hebrews 13:14- For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.
•John 15:18:21// If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: a servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.
•Colossians 3:2- Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
•2Corinthians 5:8- Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
•1John 2:15-17// Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
•1John 5:19- We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
•James 4:4- You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”— (6:1b–2) 2Corinthians
2 Corinthians 6
Code: QA0297
The following is an excerpt from The MacArthur New Testament Commentary on 2 Corinthians 6.
we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”— (6:1b–2)
Paul’s use of the verb parakaloumen (urge; “plead”; “beg”) in the present tense reflects his constant, passionate concern for the Corinthians (cf. 2:8; 10:1; 1 Cor. 16:15–16). God’s ambassadors are privileged pleaders, begging their hearers to respond to the truth.
Specifically, Paul was urging the Corinthians not to receive the grace of God in vain; not to turn away from the gracious opportunity to hear the gospel of forgiveness he had so faithfully preached to them. He had poured his life into the Corinthians during his long stay in their city (Acts 18:11), pleading with them for the gospel and teaching the new converts how to grow in grace. But events in Corinth caused the apostle to fear that his intense labor had been for nothing. The church was riddled with sin, as Paul’s first inspired epistle to them reveals. False teachers, those wolves in sheep’s clothing both Jesus (Matt. 7:15) and Paul warned of (Acts 20:29), were luring many in the assembly away from the truth. This passionate concern for the Corinthians was behind what he wrote later:
But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully. (2 Cor. 11:3–4)
Paul could not stand idly by and allow his diligent efforts to be undone. He could not permit his spiritual children (1 Cor. 4:15) to be deceived by a false gospel or led astray from the true path of sanctification. His duty before God, like that of all faithful ministers, was to exhort people not to receive the grace of God in vain. The apostle had given them the grace of God, as embodied in the truth of the gospel of grace, for their eternal benefit.
Paul was concerned first that the Corinthians not receive God’s grace in regard to salvation in vain. As in any church, not everyone in the Corinthian assembly was redeemed. Some had intellectual knowledge of the gospel but did not have saving faith. That is why Paul challenged them, “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?” (2 Cor. 13:5). Those in the congregation who were not regenerate were in grave danger of being deceived by the false teachers. To follow those preaching another Jesus, another Spirit, and another gospel would lead to a waste of their privilege and to spiritual ruin. Paul was similarly concerned about the Galatians.
I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! (Gal. 1:6–9)
The Corinthians were also in danger of receiving God’s grace in vain with regard to sanctification. The legalists sought to turn them away from living in the power of the Spirit to living in the strength of the flesh. Paul chided the Galatians, also under assault by legalism, “Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?” (Gal. 3:3). Sanctification, like justification, is a work of God. It does not come from legalistically conforming to an external set of rules but from a Spirit-generated, heartfelt love for and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Some of the unsaved Corinthians were being led astray by a false gospel of salvation by works. Others were saved, but legalistic false teaching was stunting their spiritual growth. In either case, the grace of God to them that sent Paul with the gospel was in danger of being nullified.
The corrupting influence of the false teachers hindered evangelism. That made the Corinthians’ defection all the more galling to Paul, for it was (and still is) the time for the ministry of reconciliation. To stress the urgency of this time, Paul quoted from Isaiah 49:8, where God declared, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.”
There is a time in God’s grace when He may be sought by sinners. The Lord warned the pre-Flood world, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years” (Gen. 6:3). Isaiah 55:6 commands, “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.” Hosea warned that apostate Israel “will go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord, but they will not find Him; He has withdrawn from them” (Hos. 5:6).
Repeating behold and now to emphasize his point, Paul declared that now is “the acceptable time,” “the day of salvation”   when God will listen to repentant sinners. Now, when the fields are ripe for the harvest (John 4:35), is not the time to waste gospel opportunity, or to be feeble, vacillating, or deceived by false teachers. It is the time to hold fast to the truth and faithfully proclaim it. “We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day,” Jesus admonished. “Night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4).
Knowing the urgency of the times Paul, true to the urgency of his calling, passionately pleaded with the Corinthians not to let God’s grace in their lives be in vain.
