Untitled Poem # 12795
And then seems, your mantled medowes mourne, they would softly go, like a roe or to doff thy shepherd clans: that when they give. And high, to lack no natural heat shot to happen this twilight waited on her bonie Jean. In the best, a hungry jacobins the flower. Mixture under the white, green, two white veil; a red balloons resting place. And ere he died away, and not that were patient, and rising thy name blessed Gods in blind and a’!

so in this chapter we FINALLY received a confirmation from Gege that Sukuna actually used a Binding Vow to throw World Cutting Slash to Gojo, which resulted in his death - after multiple times JJK theorists, analysts have said and got despised for it because some people wanted to believe that Sukuna actually got it all under control. Now it is cleared that Sukuna really were struggling in his fight with Gojo.
I mean, it’s OKAY to admit it cuz even the narrator said Gojo made Sukuna nervous for the first time in a thousand years. That should be enough.

God. I hate this "medical app" so bad. The home page has both "look at your test results!" and "here's some recipes!" mixed in so only after going through the health quizzes, meditation exercises, recipes, and health news did I discover that I cannot actually refill my meds from the front screen.
I blindly pick the second screen of the app, and there it is, seems fine--until I try to switch pharmacies. I'm presented with a drop-down with many options in Milwaukee, WI, and the western suburbs of Chicago. I have five pharmacies in a mile radius of me, for chrissakes!
I select the "other" option to fill in my own pharmacy, but you don't put in an address or a store name exaxtly--its just a text field. Love to risk my prescription being fucked up because someone copy pastes it wrong or there's some magical requirement on some server somewhere in between the text field being submitted to the web server and the prescription being received by the pharmacy.

The Trevor Project needs help holding upper management accountable for sudden devastating layoffs, and silencing those attempting to speak up about it!
The Trevor Project is a US-based nonprofit organization that provides support for struggling queer youth, providing 24/7 phone and text lines as well as other resources and community for many queer youth who are struggling to find support and a sense of stability. For those who work for this project, their jobs have meant everything to them, and the layoffs came suddenly, without the employees being able even so much as give feedback during this announcement.
"On the morning of June 14, The Trevor Project sent a meeting invite for 1:30 pm EST (2 hours before the meeting start time). The meeting was titled "988 Updates." In this brief meeting, staff at Trevor Project and staff contracted through Insight Global working for Trevor Project were informed that almost half of this 988 staff would be laid off and the last day for those folks would be July 2, 2023. Coordinators of the meeting from both Trevor Project and Insight Global turned off the chat feature and opened the Q&A, but have yet to still answer the questions asked by the staff. Leaders were stiff, emotionless, and cold while reading off of a script as if they were not destroying lives by what they were saying. 988 counselors and staff were also told not to stop taking crisis chats while this was happening, leading to our own self-crises while trying to support contacts. This was a highly unprofessional and inconsiderate meeting with life-changing news."
This has been utterly devastating for both the project, and those who are losing their jobs. Those affected were given a two week notice. As this is a primarily queer organization, many of those affected by these lay-offs face discrimination in their careers and have struggled to find jobs outside of queer affirming organizations.
As of writing this post, this petition only needs 255 signatures to pass, please sign if you agree that those in charge need to be held accountable and provide answers and solutions for the problems and damage that has been caused. You can also share this post, or the link to the petition itself to increase visibility. Thank you for reading.
We stand in solidarity with The 988 Trevor Project Team United.

Photograph of Engineers Working in the Launch Control Center Preparing for the Launch of Apollo 11
Record Group 255: Records of the National Aeronautics and Space AdministrationSeries: Black and White Photograph Files
This black and white photograph shows mission control at NASA. It is a large room filled with rows of large computer banks. People sit at the computers, mostly with large headphones on. Four large screens are high on the wall in the front of the room. One shows text, the other three show images from the launchpad. There is also a large chart on the wall. The whole space is surrounded by angled glass walls, and the photo was taken from behind the glass.

Hi I'm here with a nice and comprehensive guide on how to convert binary :)
This is inspired by @the-art-ghost and his story and @just-a-domesticated-cryptid and their posts about the Caesar cipher codes :)
So I had to learn about binary for school back in middle school, so I can explain how to do this pretty easily AND WITH PICTURES :)
Nerd blurb under the cut ^^
So binary is a computer language made up of an eight-number string of 1s and 0s. The value of binary goes from 0-255 bits, with 256 being 1 byte. You read binary from left to right, but the value of each place goes up by times 2 as you go right to left, starting at 1 (00000001) and ending at 128 (1000000).
In order to convert binary into something readable like letters, you need to translate it first into something easier to remember other than a long string of 1/0. For this we're going to use the ASCII index.
The ASCII index is another computer language that assigns numerical values to things like of course numbers and letters but also symbols. Every ASCII value is unique to the letter/number/symbol.
Anyways, so first to translate it into ASCII, you need to be able to read the number. Here's an example:
01001101 is simple enough. There is a 1 in the second, fifth, sixth, and eighth place. That means you add 64+8+4+1 together, which comes out to 77.
NOTE: If your binary string ends with a ONE in the eighth place, it is ODD. If it ends with a ZERO, it is EVEN.
After giving your binary string it's numerical value, you then have to look up the ASCII index value for that number to get it's letter/symbol associated with it.
The ASCII index divides the alphabet into two separate versions: the UPPERCASE alphabet and the lowercase alphabet.
UPPERCASE on the index is numbers 65-90, and lowercase is numbers 97-122.
Using the example from before, 01001101 has 77 as it's value, on the ASCII index makes it UPPERCASE M.
01110011 follows the same logic just different numbers. Second, third, fourth, seventh, and eighth all have 1s, which means you add 64+32+16+2+1, which gives you 115. The index says it's a lowercase s.
When making your sentences, you use SPACES to separate words. The space also has its own ASCII value and binary number:
If you're too lazy to go looking for the ASCII index (I don't blame you I am too), I have a cheat sheet here :3 including letters, ASCII index number, and their binary forms.
I'm not going to decode the text description where the binary is featured because I find decoding it yourself to be much more rewarding so >_O
#HI ART GHOST :)) I HOPE YOU ARE OKAY WITH THIS#I KNOW HES ONLY IN ONE RIGHT NOW I GOT EXCITED XP#creepypasta#puzzles

(I may have stopped vodchiving, but by God have I not stopped archiving.)
Hello, Tourneykids!
A friend and I have worked for about 2 weeks straight to put together a 255 page Google Doc that contains the entirety of Diary of a Tourny Kid in once place, in chronological order: Google docs, transcribed Discord posts, SoundCloud descriptions, everything, all with image descriptions, translations for goner text and other languages, links to sourcelists, videos, FNF mods- the whole works.
DOATK is incredibly inaccessible to someone just joining in, as I figured out about a month ago. So we decided to fix that! PLEASE, if you have an interest in DOATK, or even if you're already a Tourney Kid, CHECK IT OUT! We poured our hearts and souls into this project.
Enjoy!!!

hey, i don't want to put you out or anything, i was just wondering if like off the top of your head if you knew any disability studies articles/books/whatever that center (or even just feature) tic/involuntary movement disorders?
so the answer to this was pretty much no but i spent a bit of time poking around and turned up this 2023 undergraduate honors thesis (link) by a student with tourette’s which seems like a solid starting point for going down the citation rabbit hole!
that piece is “The Embodied Performance of Tics and Tourette Syndrome in the Academic Environment” by Benjamin Allen; i’m only ~1/4th through rn but they argue for a continuum of ticcing + criticize the diagnostic system so i’m comfortable reccing it on that front! the (non-medical) tic-related works cited there are:
i also searched a handful of disability studies journals for a variety of keywords (movement disorder, tic, tourette’s, involuntary movement, chorea, huntington’s) but didn’t turn up much unfortunately, so all but the first of this next list include someone with tics and/or involuntary movements rather than being about moving involuntarily.
haven’t read these so i can’t speak to the politics / quality (although i’ll make a post if i’m able to read more) but here’s what seemed potentially relevant! also if anything is paywalled please don’t give T&F your money lol, try SciHub or if you can’t find something i can ask around for somebody with institutional access!
Cultural Differences in Reactions to Tics and Tic Severity (2021)
Using virtual reality to implement disability studies’ advocacy principles: uncovering the perspectives of people with disability (2023)
I had every right to be there: discriminatory acts towards young people with disabilities on public transport (2020)
From comedy targets to comedy-makers: disability and comedy in live performance (2015)
From the Case Files: Reconstructing a history of involuntary sterilisation (2010)
i also want to mention “Movements of the Uncontrollable Body Part Two” by Bronwyn Valentine (2019), a creative writing piece about her experiences of embodiment + ableism with spina bifida that i first read pretty soon after it was published & went looking for after developing my movement disorder a year ago because it was so impactful. @fndportal also has some incredibly vital work.
also if you haven’t already read Rosemarie Garland-Thomson’s Staring: Why We Look, it’s not specifically about involuntary movements but definitely a core text for theorizing any visibilized disability.
i hope some of that is helpful!! if anybody checks any of these out i’d love to hear your thoughts/critiques! all the best to you & i hope these offer some resonance with + understanding of your experiences 💓💓

Calligraphic Galleon Dated A.H. 1180 / A.D. 1766–67 Calligrapher: ‘Abd al-Qadir Hisari, Turkey Ink and gold on paper; 19 x 17 in. (48.3 x 43.2 cm)
This calligraphic drawing (calligram) of a ship at sea exemplifies one of the most innovative artistic genres developed by Ottoman calligraphers while also conveying an important religious message.
The combination of Qur’anic verses, prayers, and poetry venerating the Prophet renders this calligram an object of talismanic devotional power.
Visual Analysis. The prow, deck, hull, and stern of the ship are formed by a gilded calligraphic inscription that names the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus, as well as their dog Qitmir. On the stern, the Throne verse from the Qur’an (2:255) acknowledges God’s power to protect and preserve everything in his kingdom. The verse is believed to have the power to avert evil. Below the distinctive imperial emblem or insignia on the stern is a dedication to the Ottoman sultan Mustafa III (reigned 1757–74). Calligraphy dominates the composition; even the waves in the scene contain aphorisms in a minute script whose name, ghubar, means “dustlike.”
Context. Calligrams were especially popular in Ottoman art; many were made in the form of lions, storks, peacocks, mosques, and ships. The imagery and text featured here derive from the story of the Seven Sleepers—a legend dating back to pre-Islamic times that became a metaphor for divine protection. The story, included in passage 18:9–25 of the Qur’an, took place in Ephesus (a town in present-day Turkey). Three Christian youths fled a pagan town and were later joined by four others and a dog. Determined to punish the fugitives for not respecting the pagan gods, the ruler set after the youths. The seven men and their dog found refuge in a cave, where they fell asleep. God ordered the angels of death to take their souls until the danger had passed. Three hundred and nine years later, God breathed life into them again. The image of the ship also carries symbolic meaning. In illustrated manuscripts and written sources, the Islamic faith is sometimes represented as a ship in a stormy sea. According to religious sources, if a ship was inscribed with the names of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus, it would not sink.
