Hello all! Over the past weekend I wrote and drew my own adaptation of the Tam Lin ballad for 24h comic day ^^ I did 12h on saturday and 12h on sunday though because i am old and cannot do overnights anymore. I love this ballad and always wanted to draw it, but still, i changed a few details... ;) It's the first time i actually finished a comic for 24h comic day (and also out of it) so I'm really proud of finally making it xD it only took me 3 tries to hack this challenge! (Special thanks to @mai-col for the comic advice and support! go check out her awesome work x) ) (if you see this again it's because tumblr ate the entire middle portion the first time, i hope i don't fuck up this post again x'D )

Twelve Hours

Originally drawn for the 24 Hour Comics Challenge, but I decided to use it as a way to practicing inking techniques, so it took a few weekends instead.

In case you weren't aware, yesterday was the official 24 hour comics day. The goal is to create a 24 page comic from start to finish in 24 hours. You can actually do it any day of the year, but the "official" event is the first weekend of October.

I've never done 24 hour comic day before, so I decided to attempt it this year. I finished in 19 hours!

24 hour comic (English version!)

A bit over 24 hour 24 page comic. I found out that local comic club was arranging the event, and I've been curious to attend an on-site one. This particular project was rather painless, since the theme was easy to adapt in terms of length, and the page size was A5. I drew first 13 pages on-site, after which I left home to sleep and squeezed the last bits next morning/day (and quality dropped!). Anyway this was fun!

THIS IS SUPER LATE!! But this is my “Artist 24 Hour Comic Day” submission. So if you’re curious as to what I’m up to other than drawing LMK shadowpeach art...this is what I’m doing, haha! it was a really fun exercise and I hope to do it again next year. :)

Today is 24 Hour Comic Day. And I thought I'd give it a go. But I only got three pages done before I had to admit to myself "this isn't gonna be finished before the weekend is over"

But if folks are intrigued, maybe I'll try another weekend to crank more pages out.

Automa: a 24 hour comic - p1

I'm making a comic book in just 24 hours to prove anyone can do it. I'm only using 7 items to make this comic: 1. Copy paper. 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Ballpoint pen 5. Sharpie  6. Whiteout 7. Ruler. These are cheap items anyone can buy at a walmart, target, staples, or even your local grocery store, so what's your excuse?

Anyone can make a comic and you don't need fancy materials or expensive tablets and software.  You just need pen and paper, so come make a comic with me!
