Lillian requested to be dropped off at the 🚦. From there she would walk into her appointment. After convincing her her it really was on the way, she directed me to her stop. Me: “If you are bold enough to ask for a ride, that deserves dropping off exactly where you going” Me: “Can I get a photo before you go?” Lillian: “Oh, I’m going to be famous” Me: “Yes - I have 500 followers....” Lillian: “You really are a Godsend” Just a couple of #gorgygirls about the business of #selfcare This is about doing a kindness when the opportunity presents itself. Being able to perform this kindness is because of the kindness of another to me @reinmorgen When you live in a large Urban Center, opportunities such as this are gifts. Most often it is not safe to even consider giving someone a lift, or asking for one from a stranger. Part of todays #202020b48 was a 730 am appointment (obviously not business related, given my attire) This lovely lady, Lillian on her way to the doctor, left stranded by the bus, used #wisdom #boldness and #discernment to ask for a lift. Lillian: “I stayed in a youth hostel in England when I was in my 20s. It was in Lands End.” Me: “ Oh, I’m not from England. Been to Heathrow twice, but that’s it...” Lillian: “Your Australian then” Now, for those of you who know me well, I didn’t joke about putting her out of the car. The two insisted upon items for me are nationality, Australian, correctly identified, and the pronunciation of my name. Car-wren, not Karen. As you can tell Lillian is just a joy and certainly brightened an overcast morning. Lillian helped accomplish #mindfulness and #selfcare.
